Here are some nagging questions. Answer them, if you can.

1. If the New Testament wasn't "canonized" until the fourth century, how did the Church keep from error?

2. If the Church didnt keep from error, how did they ever agree upon what books to include in the New Testament?

3. If God himself is the living head of the Church, how could the Church fall into corruption?

4. Where in the Bible does it mention sola scriptura?

5. Where in the Bible does it say that scripture interprets scripture?

6. If the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Timothy), where does that leave the Bible?

7. Who gave us the accepted books of the New Testament, the Nicene Creed, the doctrine of the Trinity, the doctrine of the two natures of Christ? And if we trust them for all this, why dont we trust them now, even though they haven't changed since the fourth century?

I'm closing this thread. Peter, we'd be happy to discuss each one of these issues separately, within their each individual thread, in the appropriate forum. Feel free to start one of these topics apart from this thread....
