    Mc Church

I was at the Mall of America with my wife and kids today and yes they have it all.

But today was a new experience for us, we have never seen this before but there it was, I'll just call it Mc Church.

Near where I live there is a church where a sign posted by the exit from the parking lot reads, "You are now entering the mission field." I want so much to turn the sign around facing the other direction but it would be vandalism!

I went to one on a mercy mission, but as soon as they started to tell everyone how to worship, (when to clap hands and when to stand) I made a bee line for 'the door' ,just as soon as I saw a gap, and I headed for the street. No, I did not run. I just walked calmly down the 24 or so stairs to the street. What appears to be on the outside, once inside often resembles a spiders web.

Rofl, Bob that's funny though as probably the case with most churches there may not be anyone inside who is elect that could respond to the message.

Greg: McChurch is everywhere! Living here in the "Bible belt BUCKLE" there is a worship building on every corner: each having it's marques with cute slogans for one to be enticed. Here many light up at night and their lights flash!!!! Looks like Vegas man! Anyways, since you are the computer junkie- could you pull up and post TIME magazine's front cover of September 18th? The front cover of the #1 news magazine's big attraction: DOES GOD WANT US TO BE RICH? (speaking financially with a picture of a Rolls Royce automobile with a cross on the hood).........ah come Lord Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......KK

The inventor of these lunchboxes sure knows how to market. Some basic elements in good marketing techniques employ targeting for: LUSTS...EGO...PRIDE...HEALTH....WEALTH....AND PROSPERITY. The clergy of our day are excellent marketeers also. They exploit humanitie's basic sinful desires. And religion is a major sinful desire.

Just look at how much they made in the Y2K lie, preaching that doom and gloom was surely coming while all the time prospering in stocks of companies selling Y2K solutions that were run by lying and deceiving charlatans!

This fiery figure is being hailed as Pope John Paul II making an appearance beyond the grave.

The image, said by believers to show the Holy Father with his right hand raised in blessing, was spotted during a ceremony in Poland to mark the second anniversary of his death.

Details appeared on the Vatican News Service, a TV station in Rome which specialises in religious news broadcasts.

Burned into the memory: The image that appeared in the bonfire, Tending his flock: Pope John Paul II at an audience in 2001 (right)

Service director Jarek Cielecki, a Polish priest and close friend of John Paul II, travelled to Poland after hearing an onlooker had photographed the image.

Father Cielecki said he was convinced the picture showed the former pontiff.

"You can see the image of a person in the flames and I think it is the servant of God, Pope John Paul II," he said.

The pictures were being broadcast continuously on Italian TV and also posted on religious websites, some of which crashed as thousands logged on to see for themselves the eerie figure formed by the flames.

The bonfire was lit during a service at Beskid Zywiecki, close to John Paul's birthplace at Katowice, southern Poland, on April 2 - the second anniversary of his death.

Hundreds had attended the ceremony. Gregorz Lukasik, the Polish man who took the photographs, said: "It was only afterwards when I got home and looked at the pictures that I realised I had something.

"I showed them to my brother and sister and they, like me, were convinced the flames had formed the image of Pope John Paul II.

"I was so happy with the picture that I showed it to our local bishop who said that Pope John Paul had made many pilgrimages during his life and he was still making them in death."

Well, in the afterlife everyone is 'on fire for Jesus' one way or the other!

    Re: Mc Church

Maybe he is warning us that there is no salvation in Catholicism.
Rom 8:18-21, (NASB), For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
