Avoiding Unnecessary Arguments

Avoiding Unnecessary Arguments

     Jesus does not have a FB account.

     Therefore, when you have something to argue with me I will not entertain your arguments if you come with a bad attitude.

     I don't like unnecessarily argumentative people because it is just feeding the flesh disguised as defending the truth.

     Cantankerous is the word and it means quarrelsome. The Lord despises it.

     When I withdraw from an argument it does not mean I have accepted defeat or that I am wrong.

     It just means I don't want to expend energy on people who think truth is learned by intimidation, and not by the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

     I have a responsibility to guard myself and others from error as much as God has given me grace and understanding.

     I am not yet glorified and am very capable of fighting back and be nasty.

     But this is what the Lord has spoken and I am constrained by it.

2Ti 2:23-26 KJV

[23] But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

[24] And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

[25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

[26]And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

     And this is free!
