If Ye Have Love for One Another

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (Jn. 13:35)

There is a way our invisible saving connection to Christ becomes visible, manifest to outsiders ("all men"). Christ says, they will know that ye are my disciples if something is manifest among you. Please note that Christ does not say, that all men will know you are my disciples,

A. if you beat on the anti-Arminian drum all the time,
B. If you grill each other endlessly with tests of orthodoxy,
C. If you have endless debates among one another.

No, but by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have LOVE one to another. (Jn. 13:35).   And this love, ladies and gentlemen, is something very practical:   My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (1 Jn. 3:18)
