It looks within my soul to see

There written in His words of grace
His glory shines in Jesus’ face

Which none without can ever see
How He as God the Just can be
And God my Savior be to me

Looks back to see Christ on the tree
There I behold God satisfied
And I in Christ there justified

The eye of faith God gives to me
Looks up to His own throne to see
God’s Man in majesty enthroned
And I in Him, His very own

The eye of faith God gives to me
Sees Christ alone my hope to be
I look to Him and now confess
He is alone my righteousness
