I am saddened when I think of the myriads of people who, in earnestness, zeal and sincerity, will meet today and listen to useless, graceless, Christless sermons. They will be admonished about morality and human kindness, loving and forgiving each other, but they will not hear of God’s free and sovereign grace. They will not be confronted with the message of how God can be just and justify the ungodly. Be thankful that God has put you where you can hear about mercy for the sinful through the redemption that is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
