Fear Not! Be Comforted

“Lo, I am with you alway, even to the end of the world. Amen.” - Matthew 28:20

The Lord is with me all the time.  He'll be with me today.  He'll be with me tomorrow.  Indeed, He will even be with me until the end of the world as we know it.  And I'll get to spend an eternity with Him in Heaven as well.  He's there to comfort me when I'm sorrowful.  He'll be there to illuminate my life during my dark times.   He'll be there when I have doubts, confusion, and uncertanties.  And He'll be there for me when this corruptible body of mine sees its timely death.  And it is by faith that I know these things!  Remember the servants in the book of Daniel?  They were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  He was there with them in the fiery furnace!  Remember Jacob and the stranger with which he wrestled?  That was the Lord!  He was with the apostles as they were martyrd, and He gave a revelation to John while he was exiled to Patmos.  Read the Scriptures, look back on those past saints, and realize that your Lord is with His people everywhere they go at all times.

Are you suffering with afflictions?  Do you suffer from a physical ailment?  Or perhaps you are facing adversity in your family life, or your work life.  You may be suffering financial hardships, or you have unkind and uncaring friends.  The world may seem empty to you, and your country turning away from righteousness.  Maybe you have very weak faith, or you have addictions or other bodily corruptions and weaknesses.  Don't despair!  Be of good cheer!  "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." (Isaiah 43:1)
