One of the ancient writers asked who it is that limits the atonement of Christ. Is it the preacher who declares that God will justify, pardon, and redeem all for whom Christ died; or is it the preacher who says that God cannot justify, pardon, and redeem anyone for whom Christ died unless the sinner, of himself, appropriates the blood through his own faith?
