Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
It is indeed the will of God that his children rejoice always in him, that we live in an attitude and spirit of prayer and fellowship with him, and that we give thanks in everything which he brings to pass in our lives. What we are, what we have, where we are, and all that takes place in our lives is "the will of God concerning us." Let us "rejoice evermore;" not in things, but in him! "Pray without ceasing,” “not in word, but in heart!" “Give thanks," not for something, but everything!
