Wars

And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. - Mark 13:7

    I recently saw a sign held by one of the war protesters in Washington which read; "Wars Never Solve Anything." Wars are terrible and bring sorrow and grief to many, but there will always be "wars and rumors of wars" as long as evil dwells on this earth. But, it is not true that wars accomplish nothing; wars have accomplished good things!

1. A war had to be fought to give America deliverance from England and establish this free nation—1770.

1. A war had to be fought to rid this nation of slavery and keep the union of states together—1865.

1. WWI was necessary to put down Germany's first attempt to control the world—1918.

1. WWII was necessary to destroy Hitler, Nazism, and Imperial Japan—1940.

1. Dessert Storm was essential and so is this war to destroy the evil of Saddam, and if our Lord does not return, there will be another war after this one!!
