The Freewiller's False Religion
by Scott Price
The Freewiller's False Religion    1) The freewiller believes Man is NOT totally depraved and has plenty of ability to come to Christ by his own freewill and that God will accept him based on the exercising of these abilities. Note: To say a Man is NOT totally depraved is to say he has some righteousness of his own that is worth something to God.

    2) The freewiller believes that God chose him based on God looking down through the future to see Man's freewill choice to believe, therefore God elects that man to salvation conditioned on that man's foreseen freewill choice. Note: To say election is conditioned on man in any way is to promote a salvation by works, which is evil and self righteous.

    3) The freewiller believes Christ died universally for all mankind without exception and it is up to a man's freewill to make Christ's death effective. Note: To say that the death of Christ is NOT what makes the only difference between Heaven or Hell is to compete with the establishment and work of righteousness that Christ obtained by His life and death.

    4) The freewiller believes a man can resist the will of God at anytime by their own freewill. Note: To say that a sinner can resist the effectual, inward call and drawing of the Holy Spirit of God which is the same power that it took to raise Christ from the dead, is saying that Man has more power than God Himself.

    5) The freewiller believes that he can, by his freewill, turn his back on God and lose his salvation as a result. Note: The problem with the freewiller is that he does not understand how a person is saved in the first place, must less the topic of preservation or perseverance. They have a conditional, works driven salvation from start to finish.

These are five points that freewillers in false religion cling to, which are lies from Satan and opposite from the truth of God which says we are justified by the blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ the LORD. The false gospel seems to abound in the world today. Paul said in Galatians 1:9 "If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." If God is absolutely sovereign and is the author of eternal salvation then freewill is a myth. His word declares the answers.

If the freewiller is so impressed with his so-called freewill why doesn't he use his freewill to stop sinning? He cannot because he has none. "So it is not of him that willeth, nor him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy." (Romans 9:16). All glory will go to God in a person's salvation or there will be no salvation. God is jealous of His glory and will not share it with a freewiller. NEVER!
