How do we know Jesus is God?

Answered in 8 sources

Jesus is recognized as God through His divine attributes and the fulfillment of Scripture that records His actions and identity (John 10:30, Colossians 2:9).

The assertion that Jesus is God is deeply rooted in both the attributes He displays and the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. John 10:30 declares, 'I and the Father are one,' directly associating Jesus with the divine essence of God. Additionally, Colossians 2:9 states that in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, establishing His divine nature beyond doubt. The consistency of Jesus' character, His miracles, and His fulfillment of the Law point unmistakably towards His identity as God incarnate. His pre-existence, along with these scriptural truths, supports the belief that He is indeed the embodiment of God.
