How do we know Jesus is the Savior?

Answered in 3 sources

We know Jesus is the Savior through His fulfillment of prophecies, His works, and His declaration of truth in scripture.

Evidence for Jesus being the Savior stems from the fulfillment of countless prophecies found in the Old Testament, which foretell the coming of a deliverer. Isaiah 53, for example, describes a suffering servant who would bear the sins of many, pointing directly to Christ's sacrificial death. In addition to these prophetic fulfillments, the New Testament provides a clear testimony of Jesus’ life and ministry, including His miracles, His authoritative teachings, and His resurrection – the ultimate validation of His identity as the Savior. Matthew 28:18 confirms this authority, stating, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'

Moreover, Jesus claims to be the only way to God in John 14:6, asserting, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.' This bold proclamation establishes that salvation is found exclusively through Him. For believers, the inner witness of the Holy Spirit provides assurance of this truth. Therefore, through scriptural affirmations, prophetic evidences, and personal conviction, Christians are assured that Jesus is indeed the promised Savior.
