How do we know salvation is of the Lord?

Answered in 9 sources

We know salvation is of the Lord because it is rooted in Scripture, which consistently emphasizes God's sovereignty in salvation.

The certainty that salvation is of the Lord is firmly grounded in biblical truth. The depravity of humanity, as a result of Adam's fall, necessitates that only God can effectually save. Humans are incapable of saving themselves; therefore, it is essential that salvation be sourced in divine grace. Throughout Scripture, we see examples of God intervening to save the lost, and passages such as Ezekiel 36 assure us that He alone changes hearts. The message of grace throughout the Bible portrays God's active role in drawing sinners to Himself, reinforcing the doctrine that 'salvation is of the Lord.'
