How do we know that God answers prayer?

Answered in 5 sources

We know God answers prayer because He invites us to call upon Him, and Scripture shows examples of His immediate responses.

The assurance of God's responsiveness to prayer is deeply rooted in Scripture. The Bible portrays God as one who is eager to hear and answer our requests. Genesis 24 illustrates this beautifully with Abraham's servant, who prayed for guidance and received an immediate answer when Rebekah appeared at the well. In Psalm 107:30, it states, 'He led them forth by the right way.' This reflects God's willingness to direct those who seek Him. Furthermore, James 5:16 teaches us that 'the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective,' confirming that our prayers reach the ears of a loving God who desires to respond.
