What does the Bible say about finding comfort in Christ?

Isaiah 40:1-2 proclaims God's desire to comfort His people, indicating that true comfort comes from Him. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, it is said that the God of all comfort comforts us in our tribulations so that we may be able to comfort others. This comfort is ultimately rooted in Christ, as He says in John 16:33 that in Him we find peace amidst worldly tribulation.
