What does the Bible say about the glory of God?

Answered in 7 sources

The Bible teaches that the glory of God is revealed in creation, providence, judgment, and especially in the salvation of sinners through Jesus Christ.

The glory of God is essential to understanding Scripture, as all things ultimately exist for His glory. The Apostle Paul captures this in Romans 11:36, stating, 'For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.' The Psalms also reflect this, as in Psalm 96:8, which commands, 'Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name.' This indicates that glorifying God should be a central focus of worship and life for all believers.
