The Bible teaches that believers are freed from the law through faith in Christ, and this law cannot dictate our standing before God.
The law, while it can remind us of God's holiness and the seriousness of sin, does not determine our righteousness in the eyes of God. As believers in Jesus, when we confront the law's thundering demands, we can confidently recognize that we are no longer under its condemnation. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:2 that if we seek to be justified by the law, we fall from grace. This means that while the law may speak of righteousness, it cannot provide it, and we must cling to the grace found in Christ alone for our justification.
