Why is hope in Christ important for Christians?

Hope in Christ serves as the foundation of the Christian faith, providing both assurance and stability amid life's trials. Hebrews 6:19 describes this hope as 'a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.' This hope is not based on personal merit or circumstances but solely on the promises of God through Christ.
