How do we know that Noah's faith was genuine?

Answered in 1 source

Noah's faith was evident through his obedience in building the ark, despite never having seen rain.

In Hebrews 11:7, we learn that Noah, being warned by God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear and built an ark for the saving of his household. This act of obedience was a tangible demonstration of his faith. Genuine faith is always accompanied by action; as James states, faith without works is dead. Therefore, Noah's response to God’s command reflected the reality of his belief, as he acted on the promise of God, even though it had yet to manifest in the physical realm.
