What does the Bible say about being made whole?

Answered in 11 sources

The Bible emphasizes that being made whole is through the mercy of Jesus, who asked the impotent man if he desired to be made whole (John 5:6).

In John 5:6, our Lord meets an impotent man by the Pool of Bethesda and asks him, 'Wilt thou be made whole?' This question is deeply significant as it not only addresses the man's physical condition but also his spiritual state. Being made whole speaks to the complete restoration that can only come from Jesus Christ, the giver of life and healing. The response of the man reveals his focus on human limitations rather than the divine power before him. This illustrates the necessity to recognize our own impotence and the urgency with which we must turn to Christ for restoration.
