Why is Jesus' humanity important for Christians?

Answered in 9 sources

Jesus' humanity is essential because it assures us that He understands our struggles and empathizes with our weaknesses.

The humanity of Jesus is vital for Christians as it provides comfort and assurance in our walk with faith. By experiencing weariness, temptation, and suffering, He relates to our condition, as stated in Hebrews 4:15, where it affirms that He was tempted in all points like we are yet without sin. This empathy encourages us to approach Him boldly for help in our time of need. His human experience also serves as a model for us; we are to rely on the Father just as He did, conducting our lives in faith and obedience. Thus, embracing Jesus' humanity deepens our understanding of His role as our compassionate High Priest.
