Viewing sin as it really is
Exodus 20:1-17; Romans 7:13
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
(Romans 7:13)
"Sin that it might appear sin" .
In helping us to view sin as it really is, we will :
1/ Consider the vital work of the Holy Spirit in this matter .
2/ View it through the holy law of God and what the scriptures say of it .
3/ View it in its effect and consequences .
4/ View it in what was necessary to deliver sinners from the condemnation due to it .
