Let us turn to God's Word again
and the chapter that we read, Revelation chapter 1. And I want
to take a double text in that I want to consider words that
we find at the end of verse 10 and at the end of verse 15. Verse
10 John says, I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day and heard behind
me a great voice as of a trumpet. a great voice as of a trumpet. And then at the end of verse
15, His voice as the sound of many waters. His voice as the
sound of many waters. And what I want us to consider
for our subject tonight is that of the voice of the Lord Jesus
Christ. The voice of the Lord Jesus Christ. We're told in the opening words
of the book that this is the revelation of Jesus Christ which
God gave unto him to show unto his servants things which must
shortly come to pass and he sent and signified it by his angel
unto his servant John. That is John the Divine as he's
called here in the title of the book. That's the beloved apostle
John and we see that the revelation here is by signs these things
were signified we're told at the end of that first verse and
that verb to signify is
