Good evening everyone. As you
remain sitting, let's begin our service by singing 23. 23. Come
we that love the Lord. Come we that love the Lord. 23. Come we that love the Lord, and
let our joys be known. Join in a song with sweet accord,
and thus surround the throne. Let those refuse to sing, who
never knew our God, the children of the Heavenly King, may speak
their joys abroad. The hail of Zion yields a thousand
sacred sweets before we reach the heavenly fields or walk the
golden streets and let our songs abound and every tear be dried. We're marching through Emmanuel's
ground to fairer worlds on high. Thank you. I'd like to read Psalm 28. Psalm 28. A Psalm of David. Unto thee will
I cry, O Lord, my rock. Be not silent to me, lest, if
thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the
pit. Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry unto thee, when I
lift up my hands towards thy holy oracle. Draw me not away
with the wicked and with the workers of Winnicote, which speak
peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.
Give them according to their deeds and according to the wickedness
of their endeavors. Give them after the work of their
hands rendered to them their dessert. Because they regard
not the works of the Lord nor the operation of his hands, he
shall destroy them and not build them up. Blessed be the Lord,
because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The Lord
is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted in him and am
helped. Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices
in my song, and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is
their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
Save thy people and bless thine inheritance. Feed them also,
and lift them up forever. Our heavenly and gracious Father,
we thank you again. You have allowed us to assemble
together in this evening. And Father, will you remember
us this evening? Pour out your grace and mercy
upon us. For without your blessing and
the presence of your Spirit, then it is in vain. But Lord,
you have promised in your word where two or three are gathered
together in your name, there you will be in the midst. And
Father, will you remember us and especially brother Eric,
where he hopes to stand before us again this evening. Father,
remember him in mercy and continue to be with him as he studies
for these messages. Father, give him light in your
word and pour out your grace and mercy upon him. And especially
this evening, Lord, remember him, give him freedom in speaking,
that he may once again this evening lift up the only name given among
men whereby we must be saved, the Lord Jesus Christ. And Lord,
as we sit and listen this evening, will you give us rest for our
souls, that for a short time this evening our eyes may be
turned to our only hope, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we
may once again see the unsearchable riches of our Savior, Remember
Brother Scott and all those that are struggling in various ways.
Father you know all things perfectly. Will you continue to help him
Lord in his rehabilitation and that soon he will once again
gather with us also. Father remember our loved ones
and all things are possible with you Lord. Will you turn them
unto yourself and call them out of nature's darkness and give
us Lord the opportunity and the words to speak, that we may declare
your goodness and your glory unto them also, and what great
things you have done for ourselves. Have mercy, Father, for Jesus'
sake alone, amen. Our second hymn will be 442.
Praise him, praise him, 442. Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus
our blessed Redeemer. Sing the worth His wonderful
love proclaim. Hail Him, hail Him, highest archangels
in glory. Give to His holy name. Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard
His children. In His arms, He carries them
all day long. Praise Him, praise Him, tell
of His excellent greatness. Praise Him, praise Him, ever
in joyful song. Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus
our blessed Redeemer. For our sins He suffered and
bled and died. He our rock, our hope of eternal
salvation. Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the
crucified. Sound His praises, Jesus, who
bore our sorrows, Love unbounded, wonderful, deep, and strong. Praise Him, praise Him, tell
of His excellent greatness, Praise Him, praise Him, ever in joyful
song. Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus,
our blessed Redeemer. Heavenly portals, loud with hosannas
ring. Jesus, Savior, free him forever
and ever. Crown him, crown him, prophet
and priest and king. Christ is coming over the world
victorious. Power and glory unto the Lord
belong. Praise Him, praise Him, tell
of His excellent greatness. Praise Him, praise Him, ever
in joyful song. Good evening, brethren. All right, let's turn to Isaiah
66. This is the final message in
the series in Isaiah. I'll probably come back to it
at times, but this is the final message of the gospel that our
Lord gave to Isaiah. It's called the Gospel of Isaiah
because it's such a A sweet book that declares Christ to us so
clearly, so plainly. It's like reading Matthew, Mark,
Luke, or John. Now, last time that we were here,
we saw in verses 20 and 21 that there was a use of figurative
language. Figurative language that was
describing the blessings of our God for us in the Lord Jesus
Christ. And tonight's message is very
much the same, though its focus is a little different, but it's
the blessings of our God and Savior, blessing us, gospel blessings
in the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, these verses are often used
to describe a future day. They describe a future day, a
time yet in even our future. But we know that the Lord and
the Apostles quoted from these verses, and they spoke of them,
used them in terms of their day, as being fulfilled in their day. And so, what I'd like to do is
declare the truth of these verses in that same light, how that
God has blessed us in Christ this very day. and fulfilling
these promises to us in the Lord Jesus Christ. And the greatest
blessing that we see here, brethren, is that you, you that believe
the Lord Jesus Christ, you have a covering. You have a covering
for your sin. the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now let's read our text and then
I'm going to show you, I'll outline what the Lord gave to me to share
with you tonight. There's three points. So we read
there in verse 22, for as the new heavens and the new earth
which I will make shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so
shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to
pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath
to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saying,
The Lord. And they shall go forth, and
look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against
me. For their worms shall not die,
neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall be an abhorring
unto all flesh. Now, here's the truths that I
want to look at with you, that I want to declare to you from
this passage. First, we'll see that Christ
makes his people new creatures. We are made new creatures by
the Lord Jesus Christ. Old things are passed away. Behold,
all things are become new in Christ. Second, we'll see his
body. His body, which is the church,
shall worship God in spirit and in truth. And they're going to
worship their God because of the blessings, giving thanks
to their God, because of what God has done for us in blessing
us richly out of his riches in Christ. And then third, you, You that believe, the Lord tells
us that you shall know the difference. You have an understanding between
what is death and what is life, between what is darkness and
what is light. So you shall see with understanding
and have understanding with knowledge that there are those that have
no covering for their sin. and it'll be a blessing to you
all the more, because you do have a covering. Blessed are
your eyes, which see the things that you see in the Lord Jesus
Christ, the sufficiency of Christ to save you to the uttermost. Blessed are your eyes, for they
see. They see things that other men
don't see. So first, our Lord makes his
people new creatures. In Revelation, the Apostle John
says this, He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all
things new. I make all things new. Our Lord
is teaching us that the way of the old man is the way of death. The way of the old man, the thinking
of the old man, the striving of the old man is old. It's done. It's of no use, of
no value. It's done. He's teaching us that
that way simply will not do for our salvation. And so, He puts
it aside and makes all things new, established, clearly established
in the covenant of His grace. And so, our God has made new
heavens and a new earth. And therefore, He makes His inhabitants
new. He creates His people anew, with
life, with light, with understanding of our God. not laboring to work
a righteousness for ourselves which never could make us righteous,
which never made us acceptable unto God, coming to Him in the
law. It was always Christ, and we
must be made new creatures. He said in another place that
no man seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment else
the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old. And what he's saying is that
an old garment is washed many times. and it's dried and washed
and dried and washed and dried and it shrinks down. And so if
you take a new piece of cloth and you try to sew a hole, a
tear in the garment, as that new piece begins to get washed
and dried and washed and dried, it starts to shrink. but the
other garment's already shrunk and so it tears away. It pulls
away and ruins that old garment. And he said the rent or the tear
is made worse. And so Christ is saying, I'm
not improving on the old. I'm not just gonna add a few
things and do an update and a fresh coat of paint on the old. I'm
putting it, it's done. It has no place for you that
believe. It's not your salvation. It's
not your life. It's not your walk. It's not
your hope. Christ Jesus is the believer's
hope. He's established a better covenant
on better promises with a better hope. It's in the blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ. And so this new covenant doesn't
require anything of this flesh. Our Lord provided everything
and he yet provides everything we need. He's there for us in
every way. For example, He told Nicodemus,
ye must be born again. Ye must be born again, and it's
our Savior who gives His people a new birth, giving us life by
the seed of Christ, the spiritual seed of Christ, made in His image,
made in His likeness. Peter described it this way,
saying that you are born again, not of corruptible seed, but
of incorruptible. Old things are passed away. This old nature of Adam has no
bearing on our inheritance. It has no say on whether we shall
live forever with God or not. The one who has determined that
and made that final confirmation is the Lord Jesus Christ when
he redeemed us by his own blood. When he made payment for our
sins and secured our life by his life. In his life he obtained
eternal redemption for us. So it's not of corruptible seed
but of incorruptible by the word of God which liveth and abideth
forever. Therefore Paul said, If any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature. Behold, all things are become
new. Old things have passed away and
behold, all things are become new. So the old man of flesh,
what does he do? He focuses on himself. The old
man is laboring, he's striving, he's working, he's spending.
He's doing all that he can do to ensure that he has an inheritance
with God. He's looking to make himself
righteous or to sanctify himself by his works in order to gain
the blessings of God for him. And he does this either under
the law of Moses or he finds some other religion that suits
him more. some other sect, some other doctrine,
some other religion, some other hope, in order to make a righteousness
for himself. And in doing so, he refuses to
hear the grace of God freely given in the Lord Jesus Christ. When he comes upon Christ, when
the worker, when the will worker And the law worker, when they
are walking in their walk, trying to please God and thinking that
they're doing well, he stumbles over Christ. And he says, what's
this doing here? And so he pushes it out of the
way. He rejects it. He pushes it aside,
saying, how is it, this thing here is going to ruin my lawful
walk. How am I going to keep myself
straight and upright when all I'm hearing about is grace? Grace. And so he pushes it aside because
he's got to stay focused. He doesn't want to risk going
back to his old ways anymore. And all you're talking about
is grace. And if you tell people about grace, how are you going
to constrain them? How are you going to keep them
from doing wicked sins and wicked things? forgetting that God is
able to make his child stand perfectly in Christ, that God
is able to teach us what we have need of hearing. And so he takes
that chief cornerstone, that headstone that God has put there
and stumbling over it, he moves it out of the way so he could
get back to his lawful walk. He can get back to doing what
he needs to do to stay on the up and up. And so in doing so,
he does not see that he's despising the very salvation that God has
provided in his son. He doesn't see how that he's,
rejecting and despising Christ. This is why our Lord said to
his disciples, blessed are the eyes which see the things which
you see. You that see what the disciples
see by the eye of faith, knowing this is the Son of God, you're
the Christ, the Son of the living God. You're the Christ, you're
the salvation that God has sent. Blessed are your eyes that see
and know that Christ is all, that Christ is sufficient to
save to the uttermost all that come to him by faith. And so the new creature, right,
the lawmonger is laboring in the law to make a righteousness
for himself, to patch up his weak areas and strengthen that
which needs strengthening and fortify himself. but the believer
confesses with the psalmist, all my springs are in thee. All my springs are in thee. All
the fountains of living water are in thee, Lord. You're the
source of all my righteousness, of all my peace, of all my joy,
of all my refreshing. You're the source of all my blessings,
You're the source of all my life. All my springs are in Thee, Lord."
Psalm 87, 7. And our Lord promises here that
our inheritance in Him shall never change. It'll never come
to an end. When He makes it new, it's never
going to change. He's always purposed to do this. That's why He shows us in the
scriptures the old and the new, the first and the last. He shows
us and demonstrates that he's purposed to save his people by
the new man, the Lord Jesus Christ, by the last Adam. And so he said, so shall your
seed in your name remain. It must, for this is the promise
of God made unto you in Christ. It must. In Acts, Peter was speaking
to the Jews, Acts 2.39, saying, for the promise is unto you and
to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many
as the Lord our God shall call." It must last. It must go on. Hebrews 7, verse 17 through 19,
the Lord testifies to Christ saying, Thou art a priest forever
after the order of Melchizedek. And there is verily a disannulling
of the commandment going before for the weakness and the unprofitableness
thereof. For the law made nothing perfect,
but the bringing in of a better hope did, by the which we draw
nigh unto God. Christ is that better hope which
God has sent, the one whom God has provided to draw you near
to himself. to bless you, to give you everything
that you could not gain or obtain through the practice of the law. Because the law doesn't make
us perfect. We've seen that many times. The law strips us down,
showing us exactly what we are in this flesh. Sinners. Sinners
who cannot work a righteousness for ourselves. Sinners deserving
of eternal death and punishment. But God has provided salvation
in His Son. And so Christ and his seed shall
remain. Christ and his seed shall remain.
He shall be called the Lord our righteousness and she shall be
called the Lord our righteousness. We have an everlasting name in
Christ. Second, we see that his body,
which is the church, shall worship God in spirit and in truth. They're going to worship God
because they see and understand and have knowledge of the blessings,
the rich blessings that are given to us freely, by grace, in Christ. Look at verse 23, and it shall
come to pass that from one new moon to another, and from one
Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before
me, saith the Lord." Now remember, the last verse we saw, everything
is new in our Lord's kingdom. Everything is new in the kingdom
of God. And last week when we looked
at verse 21, We saw that it said, and also I will take of them
for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord. And that was
in reference to the Gentiles. And God's saying, I'm going to
take of these Gentiles that are being brought as an offering
under the preaching of the gospel and the pouring out of the Holy
Ghost, I'm going to take of them and make them priests and Levites
to minister to my people in the churches." Now, that tells us
right there that the old covenant has nothing to do with it. We're
not under the law, because the law tells us plainly that the
priests come from the Aaronic. priesthood from the Aaronic lineage
from Aaron and Aaron's sons and the Levites were of the tribe
of Levi and only they were permitted to minister in the temple and
minister to the people in the things of God. So Gentiles are
now called priests and Levites, not literally, but as ministers
of the gospel. Clearly, all things have passed
away. Behold, all things are become
new. It's a new covenant established
in the blood of Christ. And so this new moon and the
Sabbath, they cannot be understood or taken under the old covenant. and practicing with an understanding
under the old covenant. You know, to this day, there's
still people that are also Gentiles, not even of the lineage of Jews,
that practice things detailed in law, blowing trumpets and
practicing a Sabbath day on Saturday and doing other things as closely
as they can to the law. because they don't have an understanding,
they don't have eyes to see that Christ has made all things new. Even the Seventh-day Adventist,
they have no understanding that everything has been made new.
They're practicing a Saturday Sabbath, a Seventh-day Sabbath,
because they don't understand the new creation of Christ. But
the Sunday Sabbatarian has the same problem, the same problem,
the same issue. Turn over to Colossians 2. Colossians
2. Paul has this verse, this verse
23 from Isaiah 66 23, he has this verse in mind when he says
in Colossians 2 verse 16 and 17. He says, let no man therefore
judge you in meat or in drink, or in respective and holy day,
or of the new moon. or of the Sabbath days, which
are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ." What
Paul is doing is he's expounding unto us the meaning of Isaiah
66, 23 and the meaning of these ceremonial laws in the Old Testament. He's telling us these things
are picturing Christ. It's picturing to the body of
Christ what Christ is to us, how he's accomplished all things,
and we're worshiping Christ for what he has done. God is not
binding his people with a literal, legal, law Sabbath. Christ Jesus is the Sabbath rest
for the believer. He is the one in whom We cease
from our labors. We stop working for a righteousness. We stop working to sanctify ourselves
and trying to do what the Jews were doing under the law, under
a different name, to improve our standing with God and to
gain blessings with God. Believers cry out to the Lord. Believers trust Christ. Believers
look to the Savior, look to the servant of God. And so we come
to worship God in Christ, glorifying Him for His grace, glorifying
Him for His mercy and all spiritual blessings and bearing spiritual
fruit in His people, doing what we couldn't do and what we couldn't
work in ourselves under the law. the Spirit bears the fruits of
love, of patience, of kindness, of goodness, of faithfulness,
of that joy. The Spirit bears that in His
people. And so these appointed feast
days for Israel, they're a picture of the worship and the praise
of the people of God to God for what He has done. That's why
we're gathered here tonight. It shouldn't be just a do, what
we do, but rather to come and worship God, thanking Him for
His grace and mercy, the peace that is given to us in our souls
for what Christ has done, knowing that we have an eternal inheritance
in Him, regardless of our sin. Not that we're looking to sin
or looking for a cloak of unrighteousness, but we know that the warfare
is accomplished. The battle is won. Christ is
risen again. He has saved us and put away
our sins. He's accomplished what he came to do. And so we worship
him for Christ's sake. The church comes together and
worships him. The new moon means, literally means monthly, right?
There's a new moon each month and it means monthly, but it's
signifying a renewing, a renewing. a starting over, a new beginning. And each Sabbath blessing means
it points to every spiritual blessing that we have of God
in Christ, which results in that joy and that gladness that we
have, that light in our hearts to know that God has done this,
that God has saved me. To understand that, I mean, you
think about all the years that we labored in religion, and fear,
and doubts, and worries, having all the right words to say, and
having an understanding, reading our Bibles, and praying, and
doing a lot of religious things, and still being terrified at
the thought of death, and being terrified to think, I've not
done enough. I've not done enough to save
myself. But he tells us here from one
new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another shall
all flesh come to worship before me. Now that word all flesh When
you look it up in the Strong's Concordance and you're looking
it up in, say, a thesaurus, when you study that out, it speaks
of the whole body. The whole body. It means more
than just every individual, but rather a complete whole body,
the whole body of Christ, the church. And so those trying to
worship God under the Old Testament law must do so ignoring what
Paul wrote to the Gentiles and teaching the Gentiles we're not
under the law. The law is not going to circumcise
your heart. The law doesn't make you a new
creature. The law doesn't give you the things that you're lacking.
Christ Jesus does. The Lord Jesus Christ is the
one who gives you all things. We must worship God and we gladly
come to worship God as a body in Christ. And so the types of
the new moon and the Sabbath were a shadow of things to come,
but the body, the worship, is of Christ. Is of Christ. He's the one that renewed us,
making us born again, giving us spiritual life, giving us,
blessing us to walk by faith in him. That's what the Lord
does. He calls us to walk by faith
and we rest in Christ who is our Sabbath rest. And so this
glorious good news given to us in the face of Christ and the
light of His countenance by these things, by Christ we worship
God. By Him we are comforted. By Him we have peace. By Him
we have rest for our souls knowing that God is well pleased with
us for Christ's sake, because we come in Christ, in his son
whom he sent. And so we worship him not as
slaves and bondage, but as free men and free women who rejoice
in what he's done, gladly thanking him who loved us and gave himself
for us. So John 4.23.24, our Lord said
to the woman at the well, that the hour cometh and now is. Right now it is, when the true
worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth,
not in the letter of the law, but in spirit and in truth, for
the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit, and they
that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth, not
in fleshly, carnal things according to the dead letter of the law,
but worshiping him in spirit. rejoicing in Him in spirit and
truth. All right, now this brings us to the last verse in the final
point, the third and final point. He's teaching us that you and
I are going to know the blessed difference between life and death. You're going to see with understanding
that there are men without a covering for their sin. Now there's always
going to be religious people, until the Lord returns, there's
always going to be religious idolaters, there's always going
to be legalists and lawmongers who claim to be the Church of
God, who claim to do things well and to do things better than
you, and they trouble you and they persecute you and they do
things to make you feel bad for believing Christ, for rejoicing
in Him, for resting in Him. And they claim to be the church
of God, but they deny the power of God, because they need the
law to keep themselves, because they don't have the Spirit of
God keeping them. So they need the law to work
a righteousness. They need the law to keep themselves
unspotted from the world, even though it doesn't. But they hide
behind that law. And so the Pharisees and the
Sadducees, what did they do? They crucified the Lord of glory. They despised the grace of God.
And they betrayed their confidence in the things by their own deeds,
by what they do, by running to the law. And so when the gospel
is declared, they hate it. They hate it. It isn't long before
it's like finding something in your fridge that you've long
forgotten and you open that lid and it stinks. And that's what
comes out in the legalist when they hear the gospel. It won't
be long before they tire of hearing of grace. And before they wonder,
well, how then can a man be justified? And if God will be gracious,
he'll declare it to them. He'll make them to hear it. But
if not, they'll never hear it and they'll go away disappointed
angry. Now look in verse 24, Isaiah
66 24, And they shall go forth and look upon the carcasses of
the men that have transgressed against me, for their worm shall
not die, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall
be an abhorring unto all flesh. And again, that word all flesh
is the body of Christ. There'll be an abhorring to the
body of Christ. Now this phrase, for the worm
shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched. For many
people, it refers to the eternal death of the wicked when they
perish under the wrath of God. And it is. It is as well. It is that. But our Savior used
it. He used this very phrase in Mark
chapter 9. So let's be turning there. He
used this phrase to warn the wicked. To warn the wicked that
if they will continue in their ungodly ways, that is their way
of religion without Christ, their ungodly way, Just because it's
religious doesn't make it godly. If it doesn't have Christ, it's
not godly at all. It's ungodly. And if they continued
in that, what he's saying to them is, you have no covering
for your sin. If you continue in that way,
you have no covering for your sin. So Mark 9 verse 43 through
48. He says, and if thy hand offend
thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter
into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into
the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth
not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee,
cut it off. It is better for thee to enter
halt into life than having two feet to be cast into hell, into
the fire that never shall be quenched. Where there worm dieth
not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee,
pluck it out. It is better for thee to enter
into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes
to be cast into hell fire, where their worm dieth not, and the
fire is not quenched. Now remember this, understand,
you that believe on Christ, Christ is the worm for his people. He said in Psalm 22 6, I am a
worm, and no man, of reproach of men, and despised of the people. And when we were looking at that,
I don't know, a few weeks back, we were looking at this, and
that worm is that scarlet crimson worm. That's the worm that's
in view here, and what that worm, that worm's Fluids, the blood
and stuff, are used to dye garments, scarlet and crimson. And so that
worm would attach itself to the tree. It would go to a tree and
attach itself, fix itself on that tree. And there, it would
give birth to its children, to its seed, under its body, under
the protection and the care of its body. And there, it would
expend and release its blood and its fluid to stain not only
the tree, but to stain those eggs, that seed that it brought
forth. And so, out of its death, there
would be life for its offspring. And it pictures Christ. That's
the word that's used there when Christ said, I am a worm. By his death, we have life. By the shedding of his blood,
we are covered. Our sins are covered. We have
an atonement, a covering for our sin. His death accomplished
our redemption. His death put away our sin and
obtained for us the forgiveness of God. And His life, rising
from the dead, gives us life in Himself. So here's the matter. All who would come to the Father
in their own works, He's saying, you have no covering for your
sin. You better go the distance and
cut off everything you possibly can to put away your sin and
to keep yourselves from sinning because you have no covering
for your sin and the fires of God, the fiery wrath of God shall
not be quenched for you. The only way to come to God is
in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. and he has extinguished
the fiery wrath of God for his people, and dying in their place,
and taking their place. And so, we have Christ, brethren. We have a covering. That's the
good news. That's the whole message of Isaiah,
is pointing you to Christ, showing you our sin, in this flesh, in
this old nature, and then pointing us to the servant of God. one appointed of God who came
and faithfully fulfilled all the word of the Father and faithfully
did everything necessary to put away your sin and to obtain eternal
redemption for you, to obtain life for you in himself." And
so that's what the Lord's doing. That's what he's declaring here.
You have a covering. They have no covering. And they're
going to do their thing and not believe and despise the grace
of God, stumbling over the rock, pushing it out of the way, so
they can get on with their law-keeping. But you, who hear and believe
what your God has said to you in Christ, you have a covering. You have a glorious day ahead
of you, when you shall rise from the dead and hear Christ. And
so, brethren, this is the gospel, the gospel given to Isaiah, given
to you, to bless your hearts, to comfort you, and to give you
peace in Christ. I pray the Lord bless that word
to your hearts. Amen. Our gracious Lord, we thank you,
Father, for your grace and mercy. We thank you, Lord, for the peace
that we have in Christ, that we have a covering, the covering
of His blood, which put away our sins and obtained eternal
redemption for us. Lord, we thank you for this study,
for this book that you gave to Isaiah and recorded it by your
grace, by your spirit for us to hear and to learn of these
things, to see and to behold the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord,
it's a There's a lot in there. Bless the very truth of the gospel
to our hearts. Lay it to our hearts forever.
Cause us to think on these blessed things. These spiritual blessings
that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. Encourage our hearts. Comfort us, Lord. Give us peace
in Christ. Keep us walking by faith in Him. Fulfilling all your promises
of what you do for your people in the new covenant. In the blood
of Christ, do them for us, Lord. Don't let us walk in the flesh.
Don't let us do our own thing. Have mercy. And fulfill these
things to our hearts. Help us, Lord. Pour out your
Spirit upon us. Bless us here in this town and
this part of the country. Lord, bless your people. Call

us. Encourage us. in the Lord Jesus
Christ. It's in his name we pray and
give thanks. Amen. Let's sing 512, Saved by Grace,
as our closing hymn. 512. May the silver cord will break,
and I no more as now shall sing, but oh the joy when I shall wake
within the palace of the King. And I shall see Him face to face,
And tell the story saved by grace. And I shall see Him face to face,
And tell the story saved by grace. Someday my earthly house will
fall I cannot tell how soon shall be But this I know my all in
all Has now a place in heaven for me And I shall see him face
to face And tell the story saved by grace And I shall see Him
face to face, and tell the story saved by grace. Someday when fades the golden
sun, Beneath the rosy-tinted west, My blessed Lord will say,
well done, And I shall enter in to rest. And I shall see Him
face to face And tell the story saved by grace. And I shall see Him face to face
And tell the story saved by grace. Someday till then I'll watch
and wait, My lamp all trimmed and burning bright, That when
my Saviour robes again, My soul to Him may take its flight. And I shall see Him face to face
and tell the story saved by grace. And I shall see Him face to face
and tell the story saved by grace.
