Turn back to Job 13, the title of the message, trusting God in very difficult
times. Trusting God in very difficult
times. We don't know what we may go
through in this life. We don't know what God may put
us through. We don't know that. We have examples,
and Job is the prime example, of a child of God suffering,
hurting deeply, deeply hurting. I thought of some of God's children
in the Word of God. I thought of Lazarus laying at
the rich man's gate and the dogs licking his sores. That's a child
of God. I thought of the woman with the
issue of blood for 12 years, spent all of her living on physicians. It was none the better, but rather
grew worse. That was a child of God. It was
a blind man, blind from birth, whom the Lord healed, and that
was a child of God. It was blind Bartimaeus. You just go throughout the scriptures.
There's Lazarus who died and his two sisters. God put them
through that. God put them through that. Their
heart was shattered for a little bit. And then the Lord raised
Lazarus and their heart was happy, but he had to die. Lazarus had
to die again. But I thought if he died before
they did, I bet they took it better the second time. They
understood the resurrection. They understood the resurrection
as a person and that their brother was not dead, but was alive. And we've been going here through
the book of Job and we see that Job has lost everything. His
10 children died. All his possessions were stolen. Servants killed. His wife turned
on him. He said, why don't you just curse
God and die, or curse God and commit suicide? Just kill yourself. He said, my breath is strange
to my wife. I mean, I can't imagine going
through what this man was put through. The only person who
was put through more is the Lord Jesus Christ. He suffered the
wrath of God. He died under the penalty of
law. And God's wrath burned upon him when he was on that cross. So what we have here, though
he slay me, Well, what a statement of faith. When I read that, I
can just picture like a mountain rising up out of the sea. As
a believer rising up in his miserable state, he's rising up right in
the teeth of his friends who were just, who were accusing
him of some awful things that were not so. And he's rising
up, and he says right in their face, though he slay me, I trust
him. Though he slay me, I hope in
him. That's faith. That's faith when God is crushing
you to the ground. I mean, and you have no idea
why. And there's no let up. It's like an elephant sitting
on your chest, and you can't breathe, and there's no let up.
But the only breath you can say, that you can breathe out is,
though he slay me, I'll trust him. I'll hope in him. If he takes everything I got,
I hope in him. I trust him. I take him at his
word. I take him at his word. And the word of God teaches us
that faith, the faith that is of God, will be tried. Unproven faith, untried faith,
is no faith at all. But the faith that God gives,
it will be proven, it will be put to the test, and you want
it to be. I'm not asking God to send me
trial, but I want to know that I have faith, that it's of God,
and it's going to be proven if it is. Look over in, let me read
something to you here in Hebrews chapter Chapter 11. Chapter 12, I'm sorry. Chapter 12, verse 6. For whom the Lord loveth, he
chasteneth, he disciplines. and scourges every son whom he
receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God
dealeth with you as with sons. For what son is he whom the father
chastens not? It s a sign of God s love. If
God chastened me, He loves me. Look over in 1 Peter chapter
1. In 1 Peter chapter 1, Listen to this, 1 Peter 1 verse
7 and verse 6, Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold many temptations,
trials, that the trial of your faith be much more precious than
of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, severe
trial, might be found unto praise and honor and glory, might be
found to be genuine, it's of God, at the appearing of Jesus
Christ. Now look over in chapter 4 of
1 Peter, and look in verse 12, Beloved, writing here to the
church, Think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which
is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you."
Like, what's going on? Well, I don't know, but I know
who's saying it. I know it's of God. That's what
I know. But rejoice inasmuch as ye are
partakers of Christ's suffering, just part of being in the body
of Christ, that when his glory shall be revealed, you may be
glad also with exceeding joy. So faith, it's of God's going
to be tried. It's going to be tried. Now verses
1 through 13, I'm going to just touch on these briefly because
I want to get to verse 15. Though he slay me, yet will I
trust him. But in verses 1 through 13, Job
reproves his friends for their ill treatment of him. When a brother or sister is down,
tried, hurting, we ought to show love to them, compassion, not
pick at them, but to show love and compassion. They charged
Job of being a hypocrite or of some gross sin, of which they
had no evidence. They are just surmising That
because all this was happening to him, he must be some sinner. He must have done something wicked
or his whole profession is one of hypocrisy. They have no evidence of anything
other than just what they see. They see a man sitting there,
a man who was rich, blessed, his steps buttered, And now he's
scraping sores with a broken potsherd, and his worms are full
of body maggots, the sores, putrefying. And they look at him, and this
can't be a child of God, and you sure had to have done something
for this to come on you. And that was one of Job's hardest
trials. It wasn't so much the physical.
It was the fact that his friends and his wife turned on him. They
knew his life, but they said, you've been doing something secretly
that only God knows, and now you're paying for it. And Job says this, and I tell
you, I love the way Job does not back down. You know why?
He knows he's right. He knows he believes God. He
knows his hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ. I know my Redeemer
liveth. That's what he says. You know,
over there in verse 18, listen to this. Behold, now I have ordered
my cause. I know that I shall be justified.
He knew that in Christ, in his Redeemer, he'd be justified.
He knew that. He knew he wouldn't be condemned
in the end. He knew that. But he says here, he says, Lord,
might I has seen all this, and mine ear hath heard and understood
it. What you know, I know. I have seen what you've seen
in Providence that you've been talking about. I've seen that.
You're not telling me something I don't know. You're not telling
me something I haven't experienced. You know, I thought of this today
when I was reading that part. A physician is supposed to tell
you what you don't know. You know, I can go to a physician,
I got a bad cold, and he says, you got a bad cold. I'm like,
I just paid you $100 to tell me that? I knew it before I got
here. A good physician tells you what you don't know and gives
you a cure for what you have. And he's going to tell them and
say here in just a minute, you're physicians of no value. You're worthless. You're just
adding to my trouble. That's all you're doing. They
spoke of the wisdom of God, the power of God, the providence
of God. And Job said, I know what you know. I'm not inferior
in knowledge to you. He's not bragging. He's stating
a fact. I'm not inferior to what you
what you have told me. I know these things about God,
God's power, God's wisdom. I know that. But he says this. in verse 3 after speaking to
them and telling them he's not inferior to them and i know i
know what you know i have the same experience you've had he
said but i tell you what i would rather speak to god to the almighty
than then to you three men i'd rather take my case to god that's
what he's saying joe was not afraid to lay out his calls before
god he knows that god is merciful And He knows that God Almighty
knows the whole matter. He knows that God knows the truth.
He knows that. Surely I will speak to the Almighty.
He knows that the Almighty knows the matter thoroughly. And He
has the remedy. He knows that God's hand is in
this, he knows that. Nowhere do we read, that I can
even recall, reading through the book of Job, where Job charges
Satan of anything, does he? He says, God's done this, God's
done this, the Lord giveth, he doesn't say the Lord giveth and
Satan taketh, He said, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord. He recognized God as the first
cause of all things. You see, those three friends
didn't. They didn't. But Job recognizes God in the
giving and in the taking. He recognized his hand in all
of it. And He knows that He has a right to come before God, and
that He has a right to lay down before God all His cares. As it says in the Scriptures,
casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Every child of God has a blood-bought
right to go to the throne of grace boldly. It tells us to
come there boldly. You see, true faith comes boldly,
taking God at His Word. That's what true faith does.
It comes boldly. And we are allowed to come there
and cast all our cares upon Him who cares for us. Job knew this
was the only place where he could be vindicated from such slander
that was being laid against him by his friends. We sing a song
and we're going to sing it at the end of this. Take your burden
to the Lord and leave it there. Take it to him. I don't know
why it takes us so long to take our burden to the Lord and leave
it there. It takes us so long to do that.
But notice what he charges his friends of being there in verse
four. You, he says, are forgers of
lies, that's what you are. The word means a person who falsifies,
who falsifies. You are forgers of lies, you
are all physicians of no value, of no value. They are forgers
of lies, they misrepresent God. Look here, Oh that you'd altogether
hold your peace, And it should be your wisdom. He says in verse
7, will you speak wickedly for God and talk deceitfully for
him? Will you misrepresent God? They lied. You know, I thought
about this. They lied on the Lord Jesus Christ. They lied
on him and they lie on his children. They saw one lie to another and
call it truth. And this is what they were doing
to Joe. And they were physicians of no value. Idle physicians. Like the idle that sits on the
shelf. That's what he's talking about. An idle that sits on the
shelf can do nothing. Has eyes but it sees not. Nose
but it smells not. A mouth but it speaks not. Ears
but it hears not. He said, you're a bunch of idle
physicians. You're totally worthless to me. Totally worthless. Truth, now listen, truth misapplied
is deadlier than wrong medicine given for the cure. They said
a lot of true things. I mean, they said some things
that were solid, but they misapplied them. They misapplied them. And that's just as bad as giving
somebody medicine for the wrong cure. It's spiritual malpractice
is what it is, and that's what they're doing, spiritual malpractice. And he said, It'd be your wisdom
if you'd shut up. Solomon said, A fool is thought
to be wise if his words are few. What's that old saying? It's
better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove
all doubts? It is. That's what Job's saying there
in verse 5. Or that you'd all together hold
your peace, and it'd be your wisdom. It'd be your wisdom. But what they did here is very
serious, very serious. They misrepresented God. They
misapplied truth, and they misrepresented God. What I'm doing here every Thursday
night, every Sunday, and when I go away to preach, I'm representing
God. we are we are Paul said we are
ambassadors of Christ as though God did beseech you by us be
you reconciled to God there's no one on this earth
that's going to bear more responsibility than the man who stands in the
pulpit and handles the Word of God and those three men he are
misrepresenting God and that's serious that's serious matter
BE CAREFUL WHEN CLAIMING TO SPEAK ON GOD?S BEHALF! BE SLOW TO SPEAK! If you or I are going to speak
on God?s behalf, we better be USING THE WORD and backing it
up with the Word of God! Because He says, look in verse
10, ?He will surely REPROVE you, TO MISREPRESENT GOD IS NOT GOING
TO GO UNNOTICED OR UNDEALT WITH. HE WILL SURELY REPROVE YOU IF
YOU DO SECRETLY ACCEPT PERSONS. GOD SEES THE HEART. GOD SEES
THE HEART. IT'S SERIOUS BUSINESS TO MISREPRESENT
GOD. HE SAYS IN VERSE 11, ARE YOU
NOT AFRAID OF GOD? Are you not afraid to speak on
behalf of God? Shall not His Excellency make
you afraid? Any man that stands in this pool,
I'm scared of anyone who wants to run up into the pulpit, who
wants to just get up here in this pulpit and speak, and this
is a Don't mean this in a bad way,
but it's a terrible place. I mean it's in a good way Take
off your shoes for you standing on holy ground when you're standing
here the Word of God open and you're dealing with God's Word
He says here shall not his excellency make you afraid to speak like
you're speaking you're just popping off You're just popping off in
his dread fall upon you and Everything you are saying will not hold
up. He says here in verse 12 Your remembrances are like unto
ashes your bodies the bodies of clay everything you're saying
was not it's not going to hold. It's not going to hold up Like
ashes it's gonna blow away. You cannot establish what you're
saying When I say something in his pulpit or anybody you listen
to What they are saying has got to be established with two or
three scriptures, witnesses. I should be able to take you
to the Word of God, or you should be able to take what I'm saying
to the Word of God and establish it with not just one scripture,
but several scriptures that we do not misapply it. It jumped
out at me when Craig was reading back in the study over here in
Ephesians chapter too. I got to point this out. It just
jumped out at me. Over here in Ephesians 2, but God in verse four, but God
who is rich in mercy, raise great love wherewith he loved us. Who's
Paul writing to? The church at Paul's writing
to believers. This is very important what I'm
going to say. He's writing to believers. He's writing to the
church at Ephesus. And he's writing this to the
church at Ephesus. But God, who is rich in mercy,
for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were
dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. By grace
you are saved. But when you read that verse
four, here is a great mistake when preachers Take the Word
of God, take that which is written to the church, and apply it generally
to everybody. You can't do that. That's misrepresenting
God. That's misapplying the scriptures.
He's not talking about everybody. He's talking about the church.
You cannot, and this is one of the reasons that there's so much
error today. They take what is written to
the church, what's written to believers, and they apply it
generally to the whole human race, and you can't do that. Peter says that God's not willing
that any of us should perish, and that's usually where they
stop. But He's long-suffering to us-ward, the church, the believer. He's long-suffering to us-ward,
His elect. That none of them should perish.
That's what he's talking about. That none of them should perish. All right, let me get back to
where I was at. He says, your remembrances of God, you know,
you're speaking of God and what you're saying is not gonna hold
up. It can't be established by the word of God. If it can't
be, it's gonna be like ashes. It's just gonna blow away. Or
like bodies of clay, it's gonna fall apart. Hold your peace and
let me alone that I may speak and let come on me what will.
I'd rather stand before God than you men. Wherefore do I take
my flesh and my teeth and put my life in my hand? And here's
where I want to come to. What we see here is unconditional
trust. Unconditional trust. Also we
see here a brief yet comprehensive biography of a believer. Though he slay me, yet will I
trust him. That's the biography of a believer.
And then it's proof that the just shall live by faith. Though
he slay me, yet will I trust him. Come what may. Job, I think at this point, Job
believed he was going to die. He believed he was never going
to see another good day in this life. But he's saying, though he killed
me, though he takes away my life and though I die like this, I
trust him. I trust my Redeemer. I trust
him that one day he's going to stand upon this earth and I'm
going to see him in the flesh. I'm going to see him for myself
and not another. I'm going to see, my eyes are going to behold
him. That's faith. That's faith. I don't know how
this is gonna end, but I know how my life's gonna end. It's
gonna end in glory. That's how it's gonna end. Though
he slay me, yet will I trust him. Here's a sobering thought
that Job puts out. Though he slay me. What if it
does come to that? You know, one of these days,
you know, I've gone to the doctor several times, sick. But one
of these days I may go to the doctor and that's it. I've seen
this happen over the years. I've seen someone go to the doctor
for the final time, and that's it. They don't get better. They
don't get better. I saw my dad several times go
to the hospital in his latter years and come out, and then
the last time I saw him go in, he didn't come out. He didn't
come out. Though he slay me, it's a sobering
thought. God has every right to slay me. Does God have a right
to slay you? God has every right to slay me
where everything about me is offensive to God who is holy.
By nature it is. God's light, I'm darkness. God's
holy, I'm sin. That's the truth. That's the
truth. Yet I know that no sinner ever
perished trusting the Lord Jesus Christ. That never happened and
it never will. But there is a slaying that takes
place when God saves a sinner. There is the slaying of the old
man, as Paul wrote in Romans 6, 6, knowing this, that our
old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be
destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. There is
the slaying of the old man. There is the slaying of hypocrisy
in us. Every one of us, every one of
us has a measure of hypocrisy. All you got to do is talk about
your past and you're better than you were, greater than you were,
taller than you were. Every one of us is born, listen,
this is the truth. Every one of us is born hypocrites. That's the truth, every one of
us. And there's a slain of this hypocrisy. True faith, true love and true
commitment is going to be proven. That man said, let me go bury
my father. He said, you let the dead bury the dead. You come
follow me. Now, anybody that reads that
says, man, that's tough. He walked by the boat of Peter
and John and said, follow me. Follow me. They jumped out of
the boat and left their father. James and John, I believe it
was. Then there's a slaying of self-righteousness,
self-reliance, of self-anything. And that's still going on. God
has to slay that in us until we die. Except the Lord build the house,
they labor in vain to build it. Except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. Put the watchman on the wall.
I'm a watchman here. I'm a watchman. But unless the
Lord keeps us, it's but in vain. He's the one who keeps us. Sunshine
faith is no faith at all. The faith of God's elect endures
all seasons, all trials. Though he slay me, yet will I
trust him. Genuine faith continues under
the most severe trials It was it will continue under
the most severe trial Satan said Concerning job. He said let me
have him I Can make him curse you to your
face and Here when Joe is at his lowest He's at his lowest
It's like he's wallowing on the ground. It's like a worm wallowing
on a hot pavement out there, just wiggling, just struggling,
just trying to even reason and get thoughts out of his mind
or out of his head and out of his mouth. And this is the one
thing he comes up with. He says to his friends in their
teeth of casting aspersions upon him, he says, though he slay
me, I will trust him. Genuine faith continues under
the most severe trials. True faith glorifies God in the
fiery furnace. Let me read something to you
out of Daniel. me read this out of Daniel chapter 3 let me
read this to you then Nebuchadnezzar in chapter 3 verse 13 then Nebuchadnezzar
in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach Meshach and
Abednego and they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar
spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego? Do not ye serve my gods, nor
worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready,
that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,
sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, You fall
down and worship the image which I have made, well, that is, it'll
all be well with you. I'm giving you another chance
here. But if you worship not, you shall be cast the same hour
into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is that God
that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar,
we are not careful, and we're not afraid. We are not afraid to answer thee
in this matter. If it be so, our God, whom we
serve, is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,
He will deliver us out of thine hand. But if not, That's different. Now faith,
now faith is standing out. Now faith is rising up out of
the dust. But if not, be it known unto
thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the
golden image which thou hast set up. And he cast them into
that fiery furnace. And you know the rest of the
story. The fire didn't touch them at all. The old Nebuchadnezzar
said, I see four men. We cast three in, but there's
four, one likened to the Son of God. Oh, though He slay me, yet will
I trust Him. As David said there in Psalm
119, 114, In the time of trouble, thou art my hiding place. Now
true saving faith is tenacious, It's immovable and unstaggered,
like that of Abraham, who staggered not at the promise of God, but
counted God faithful, who gave him that promise. And God counted
it to him for righteousness, that he'd have a seed 100 years
old. Sarah, 90 years old, and she gets pregnant. But he believed
God, he believed that was going to be, that was going, he believed
that was going to happen. I tell you, where true faith
is, it acts on the Word of God. And then this faith is a shield
in the day of battle. God has provided His children
with the armor with which they will do battle. God has provided
us the armor. We don't provide the armor. When
young men and women go to the military, they don't go down
to the store and buy their own rifles and buy their clothing.
The army provides it for them. The United States government
provides it for them. God provides us the armor in
which to fight the battle. You can go over in Ephesians
6 and read it, but in Ephesians 6, 16, above all, taking the
shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked. Job lets his friends know that
however it ends, however this ends, and at that point, Job
believed it was going to end, you know, he was going to die
like that. He was just going to eventually just die. However
it ends, I trust the Almighty. I trust him. I take him at his
word. You see, they spoke of works. They said, Job, if you'll
straighten up, if you'll do right, if you'll fly right, you'll get
rich again. You'll have your everything back again. God will
bless you. Job didn't. Job spoke of trusting
God and it'll be all right. Job knew this. Job knew that
his trouble was only for this life. that's what maturity that's what
it is to be mature in Christ whatever trouble you have and
whatever whatever it comes to and however severe it is it's
just for this life Paul says it's just for a little while
and he calls it a light affliction you know Paul would call this
affliction of job he said this is a light affliction compared
to the weight of glory that's waiting him at the glory that
job is experiencing right now what he went through job would
tell us job would tell us if he were here right now it was
light it's nothing compared to what i have now nothing nothing
then saving faith is conquering faith this is what we see here
in job And Paul said it this way, Philippians 4, 13, I can
do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. Psalm 18, 29. For by thee, I
have run through it through a troop, and by my God, have I leaped
over a wall. First, John 5, 4, for whatsoever
is born of God overcometh the world. And this is the victory
that overcometh the world, even our faith. He's speaking here of the object
of faith, the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who look to Him, because
He says in the next verse, Who is He that overcometh the world?
But He that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God. He overcometh
the world. And then true faith is enduring
faith. Look over in Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11, let me read this
to you. Hebrews 11, 36-39, And others, other believers, had
trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover bonds and imprisonments. They were stoned, they were sawn
asunder, cut in half, were tempted, were slain with a sword. They
wondered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute,
afflicted, and tortured. These are God's children, of
whom the world is not worthy. They wandered in deserts and
in mountains and in dens and caves of the earth. These all,
having obtained a good report through faith, received not the
promise, God having provided some better thing for us, that
they without us should not be made perfect, but they endured.
They all died in faith. These all died in faith. None
of us, we've not even come close going through what I just read
to you. True faith is enduring faith.
I don't know what I or you will yet go through. It may be a deep, deep, deep,
dark valley up ahead of us. But he said, when you go through
the water, I'll go with you. I'll go with you. And then the
strength of faith is knowing God. This is the strength of
faith. The strength of faith is not
me. It's not me. It's God. Psalm 9 to 10. And they that
know thy name will put their trust in thee, for thou, Lord,
hast not forsaken them that forsake thee. They that know thy name
put their trust in him. Those that know God, trust God.
They don't put question marks. They trust him. But I'll maintain mine own ways,
Job said. I'll maintain my own way. John
Trapp said this, We have had the triumphs of Job's trust.
Here we have the ground for it. His uprightness, the testimony
of his conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, he had his
conversation in the world. And here's a scripture to back
this up. First John 3, 21, Beloved, if our heart condemn us not,
then have we confidence toward God. Job's heart didn't condemn
him. He knew he wasn't hiding anything. you know when you're
hiding something don't you you know it joe said my i'm not hiding
a thing god knows my heart peter said lord you know all things
you know i love you and he said and it says you in verse 22 and
whatsoever we ask we receive of him because we keep his commandments
and do those things that are pleasing in his sight joe knew
that he knew that Job knew he was innocent of the charges that
his friends brought against him. He knew he walked before God
in truth and sincerity. He was no hypocrite. Because
I tell you this, a hypocrite won't come to the light. He won't
come. John 3, 21, But he that doeth
truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest.
They are wrought in God. He said, I want to speak to the
Almighty. I want to come before God. Now
if you're lying, you don't want to do that. If you're lying,
you don't want to do that. If you're hiding something, you
don't want to do that. Job said, he just said right
here, I mean, John is giving the spirit of Job in John 3,
21. He that doeth truth, he cometh
to the light. He's not afraid to. That his
deeds may be made manifest, they are wrought in God. And then
I'm going to close. Saving faith counts knowing God
to be the highest goal in life. Nothing compared to it. Nothing
compared to it. Paul said in Philippians 3a,
Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but lost for the excellency
of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered
the loss of all things, do count them but done, that I may win
Christ. He said, I count everything as
lost. There's nothing compared to this excellent knowledge of
knowing Christ. If I have to lose a job over
it, I lose a job over it. I have to lose my health over
it. If I have to, like John the Baptist, lose my head over it. There's nothing compared to it. And then Christ, I'll close with
this. Jesus Christ is the highest,
truest example of faith. He lived by faith, trusting his
Heavenly Father to provide his daily food. He did pray, give
us Lord our daily bread. He didn't have a pantry or a
refrigerator. He didn't have a place to lay his head. He said,
the son of man has no place to lay his head. He trusted his
father. And then we have the truest example
of faith in Christ crucified. God did slay him. He didn't slay Job. He took Job,
put him in the dust. And may Job have a clearer view
of himself and of God. But he did slay his son. He hath
put him to grief. He was put to death in the flesh. And yet our Lord fully trusted
him to the end. They said of Christ in Matthew
27, he trusted in God, they knew that. He trusted in God, let
him deliver him now. He'll have him. Well, three days
later, he rose from the grave, showing that he did trust in
God. He also shall be my salvation.
If I die right now, Joke says, in this situation, God will save
me eternally. He's talking about eternal salvation
here, not temporary. He is my eternal salvation. Now, a hypocrite,
he said, won't come before him. A hypocrite won't do this. A
hypocrite's not going to say, He's not gonna come to the light.
Can we say, can we say, though he slay me, yet will I trust
him? All right.
