Sinking sand. Sands of time are
sinking. I read or saw a report of coastline
around the United States is sinking. It's all sinking. Skyscrapers and things in major
cities are sinking. I knew that before the news told
me. Go with me to Romans 15 now,
Romans chapter 15. This verse has always been a
real blessing to me. Hope it will be to you. Hope
the Lord blesses this, His Word. You have it, Romans 15. Look at verse
4. Romans 15 verse 4, whatsoever
things were written aforetime, or that is in the past, were
written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort
of the Scriptures might have hope. That's the title, that's
the text, that's the subject, patience and comfort and hope
from the Scriptures. These three, patience, comfort,
and hope, are one. That is, they come from one source,
God. Look at verse 5, the God of patience. See that? Look at verse 13, the
God of hope. See that? You want patience? It comes from one place, God,
the God of patience. You need hope? It's only found
in one place. One source. God of hope. 1 Corinthians,
2 Corinthians 1, verse 3. He's called the God of all comfort.
You need comfort? One source. Comes from nowhere
else. And this is His Word. That's
how He speaks to us. That's how He gives us patience.
We're going to see what that means. Gives us comfort of Scripture. His Word. and hope in His Word,
in His promises, what He says. Okay? Now there's some in here
and certainly all unbelievers everywhere are just too comfortable. And I hope and pray the Lord
will arrest them and grab hold of them and make them miserable
and break them and convict them. And then the comfort comes. Some are just too comfortable and need conviction. They can
be broken, need trouble. But then there are some that
are too convicted, don't seem to get any comfort. That's consolation. They need comfort. And God knows
this. So I'm just going to preach His
Word, and He'll apply it to who and what and how. Okay? Now, the Scriptures that are
spoken here, whatsoever things are written are written for our
learning. The Scriptures give us hope. This is God's written
Word. Do you believe that? Do you really? You're in a minority, you know
that. God spoke to men. God in sundry times and
diverse manners has spoken unto the fathers by the prophet, hath
in these last days spoken unto us by his Son. Peter said this,
no scripture is of any private interpretation. Isaiah didn't
just decide to write a book. Moses. Jeremiah. No, no, no. God said, write these things
down. Okay? Holy men spake as they
were moved by the Spirit of God. God spoke to Moses. God spoke
to the prophets. Write these things down. Psalm
68 says, The Lord gave the Word, and great was the company that
published it. The Lord gave the Word. Now go
out and tell them what I have said. People didn't, everybody
didn't have Bibles back before the Bible was written. We're
so blessed. We're so blessed. I was sitting
there thinking about David. You know, David's writing, talking
about God's Word. What Word? What Word did he have?
He had basically five books of Moses. That's it. That's it. Isaiah's after David. Jeremiah's
after David, right? Samuel. had not finished 1 and
2 Samuel. Right? 1 and 2 Samuel. It wasn't finished. David had
five books, and he wouldn't have traded those five books for all
the silver and gold in all the world. Why? It was God's Word
to him. Promises of God. So God gave the Word, and great
was the company that published them. And Malachi says this,
I love this verse, Malachi 3, 16. They that feared the Lord
spake often one to another. And the Lord heard, and He wrote
a book, a book of remembrance to remind them. Aren't you glad
you have this book to go back? We forget so soon, don't we?
We forget. Now what did he say? What did
the preacher say long before nobody had recordings? He didn't
write down all the... What was it he said? We have
this book of Remembrance to remind us of all the promises of God. Do you really believe this is
God's Word? Do you really? You know, God can't lie. Man
can't tell the truth. So who are you listening to? You'll only have peace and comfort
according to who you're listening to. Do you hear me? Sunday's message was about confusion. Man is confused. He'll say one
thing one day, and the next day he'll say something different.
And God has made so foolish the wisdom of this Word. Do you not
consider God's Word to be wisdom from above? Do you say with Peter, listen to Paul, Paul said,
I confess that the way they call heresy, that's how I worship,
the God of my Father, God of the Bible, that's who I believe.
When you say that, I believe the God of the Bible. That's
my God. You say that? And this book from Genesis to
Revelation, God wrote this. Man didn't write this. God wrote
this. You believe that? That's what Paul said. I believe
everything written in the Law and the Prophets, and I have
hope toward God. How, Paul? In His Word. That's it. I don't trust anybody
or anything. I'm not looking anywhere to anyone
for anything but God. And he says, I have hope. And
Paul went through, you know what all he went through? What? Because
God spoke to him. He believed God. So this is to believers. It is. This is the book to believers
to remind you whatsoever things are written before time, are
written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort,
where is it found, of Scripture might have hope. Hope in who?
Hope in what? Vain is any hope in anyone or
anything but God. Hope, you know what hope means?
Hope means to believe that something you want or need is going to
take place. You have hope. Something you
really, really need and you expect, it's an expectation that you're
going to receive what you need. It's going to be good. That's
hope. It's going to be good. I know
it is. Well, you know, we hope things will turn out all right.
That's just wish, I wish, I wish, I hope. Well, I hope, I hope.
Crossed my heart hoping to die. No, no, no, no, no. Our hope
is in God who cannot lie and His Word, what He promised us,
okay? Now by the faith, hope, and love,
the greatest of these is love. Love for God. I'm going to try
to show that. Love for His Word. Romans 5. Go to Romans chapter 5 with me. Faith, we're talking about faith,
believing God, believing this is His Word, believing, trusting
Him and Him alone. Romans 5 and Hebrews says, faith
is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is the substance, the ground,
confidence. I hope, I hope. What do you hope
for and where do you get this hope? Look at Romans 5, Romans chapter
5. Do you love the book of Romans? Why? Because it's Calvinism? No. It's God's Word. Romans 5 being
justified, verse 1, therefore being justified by faith we have
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom? By Christ
also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand
and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. You see that? Justified by faith. Faith in
what? In whom? Faith in God. Faith in his Son.
Faith in his Word. Faith. I believe. I believe. Therefore I have hope. I believe
God. Do you? I really do. Help my unbelief. I do believe
that. Didn't our Lord say to His disciples,
you believe in God? Romans, John 14. He didn't say,
do you believe? He said, you believe in God.
Why? Where'd they get? Christ revealed
the Father. He said, you believe in God. Well, believe also in me. He
hasn't seen me it seems like. You believe in God. I believe
in God. I do. My hope is that He's chosen
me. I know God has an elect people.
This book says it all the way through. And my hope is I'm one
of His elect. How do you know you're one of
His elect? You believe God. You believe His Word. Are you
with me? Everybody doesn't believe this
is God's Word. They believe some of it, but not all of it. Everybody
doesn't believe God's God. I do. There's no doubt in my
mind that He's God. I don't doubt that He's God.
I doubt myself. I doubt everyone else, but I
don't doubt Him. Do you? I believe His Word. I believe
this is God's Word. I really do. I don't doubt one
word of it. I love every word of it. I don't
want them to take one word out of this book. I believe it all. Don't you? Why? There was a time
I had no interest whatsoever in God's Word. And I questioned
it. There was a time that I questioned
God's Word. I became smarter than God. Really? Well, I hope that what he said
here in this book applies to me. I hope this is for me. I hope all these promises are
for me. I really do. How do you know the promises
are for you? How do you know that what God is saying, all
these promises, are for you? Brother Scott used to say this,
you can't claim the promise unless you fit the character described
in the promise. You can't claim the promise unless
you fit the character described in the promise. Now here's the
promise. It's a faithful saying, worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, even the chief
of sinners. That's what it said. Faithful.
God is faithful. He can't lie, and this is what
He said. Christ came into this world to save sinners, the chief. Paul said, I'm the worst. Mary
Magdalene said, I'm the worst. The thief on the cross said,
I'm the worst. How about you? And that applies to Christ came
to save you. Did he save who he came to save?
Did he save who he came to save? Yea or nay? Amen to the glory of God. Go ahead and doubt yourself,
and you will to the day you die. But God can't lie. I've already got more comfort
than when I studied it. I believe His Word. I hope it
applies to me. I really do. I hope I'm on one
of His legs. I hope, I hope, I hope. My hope, though, is not
a rabbit's foot, not a wish, not a chance. I hope in His Word. Lord, You said that those that
trust You will never be ashamed. I am ashamed of myself. I'm ashamed
of my past. I'm ashamed of my present. And
I'm going to do something in the future that I'm going to
be ashamed of. But our Lord said, he that trusts in me will never
be put to shame. He said, your past is gone. Your
present is gone. Your future is gone. You like that? I believe God's Son. I believe
that that person that came to this earth named Jesus 2,000
years ago is not just a man. I believe He's God manifesting
the flesh. Come down here to do a work,
and He did it, and He did it for everyone that God sent Him
to do, all His elect. He finished that work, went back,
now He's seated controlling everything and just waiting for the time
that He's going to come down here and take them all back to
glory. I believe that. That's no fable. That's no cunningly
devised fable. That's just truth. The truth
as it is in Jesus Christ the Lord. Do you believe that? Well,
I hope He died for me. I hope He lived for me. I hope
He's coming back for me. I know He's coming back. I believe
He's coming back. I hope He's coming back for me.
Now I'm going to go ahead and say this before something happens. I was going to bring up Rahab
in the end of this. Rahab had to wait a while. She
received a promise through two men. She feared God. She cherished those men that
gave her this promise. She feared Joshua. She's waiting
on Joshua. She feared God. She loved God's
people. She loved these men that brought
her this truth. She loved Joshua. She wanted to get out of Jericho.
She wanted to get out of there and go be with Joshua and God's
people. Didn't she? Scripture says she's there today.
That's what it said. She's there right now. And she
had to wait a while. It doesn't say how long. Weeks, months, no telling how
long it would. Do you reckon that since he delayed
and he's not coming, she thought, I still have these awful thoughts
as I did when I was a harlot? I'm still a sinner. Maybe I'm
too bad. Maybe he didn't mean it. Maybe
he's not coming for me. I know he's going to destroy
this place, and maybe I'll perish with it. Where'd she get hope? When she
needed hope, what did she go back to? The promises. Those men said, our life for
yours. Well, she said, show me a token.
Show me a token. I said, it's been right there
all along. in your house, a scarlet line,
and you tie that in the window. If you ever get to doubting,
you go out there and you lay hold of that rope, you take a
good look at that scarlet line. We went down on it, and we're
coming back up on it, and we're going to bring you back down
on it and out of here to Joshua. We're going to take you all the
way. We promise you. Joshua told us he's coming for you. And she waited and she waited.
Where's her hope? What's her hope now? Not in herself. She doesn't feel any better than
the day those men came in. Her hope's in the promises. Well,
I told you, she's there right now. She's with Him right now. She's sitting at the right hand
of Jesus Christ right now, her and Mary Magdalene. Are you getting
any comfort out of this? Where did I get all this? Right
here. Word of God. Oh, my. Romans 8. Go to Romans 8 quickly
with me. Romans chapter 8. This speaks
a great deal of hope. Romans chapter 8, verse 22. Don't you love Romans 8? All
of it? You love verse 29 as much as
you do 28? A lot of people quote 28. They don't like 29. Do they, John? That P word is
in 29. Look at verse 22. Now we know
the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together
until now. Not only they, the creature,
he's talking about the world, the animal, everything groaning
because of sin. This present evil world. Do you
think this world is an evil place? Do you? Do you think you're evil? Do
you? The world didn't think that.
Verse 23, But not only they, but ourselves also, which have
the firstfruits of the Spirit. He said in verse 14, Many are
led by the Spirit of God. They are the sons of God. Convicts
him of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Right? All of God's
people are convicted of sin, righteousness, and judgment as
they pertain to Jesus Christ. Because He's going to judge His
whole world in righteousness by one man. Do you believe that? Do you believe that? You've either
got to be as good as Him or in Him. And ain't nobody as good
as Him. None good, no, not one. But everybody
in Him is wholly unblameable, unreprovable, God said. Isn't
that good news? Firstfruits of the Spirit. That's
what the Spirit does. We've grown within ourselves
waiting. Waiting. Waiting for the adoption
to wit, the redemption of this body. What body, Paul? What are
you talking about? This body of death. This body
of sin. He said in chapter 7, O wretched
man that I am, who shall deliver me from me? Do you know what
he is talking about? All of God's people do. All of God's people know. their
own wretchedness. Amazing grace, how sweet the
sound that saved a what? Rich like me. All of God's people
know what amazing grace is. They do. It's not just grace,
it's amazing grace. It's not just grace, it's sovereign
grace. It's not just grace, it's not
an offer at all, it's a gift. It's not an offer at all, it's
an act of God. Noah found grace. God was gracious
to him. I will be gracious to whom I
will be gracious. The gift of God is eternal life,
and this life is in His Son. Not an offer, it's a gift. He's
given it to no good, worthless rebels. Amazing grace. Amazing. We've grown within ourselves. Verse 24, we're saved by hope.
Hope is scenes, not hope. What a man sees Why does he hope
for it? But if we hope, verse 25, for
that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it? Alright, now let's get to
the text. Talking about hope. Hope. Hope. We're saved by hope. You know that? Scripture says
we're saved by hope there. Saved by hope. We're saved from
sin, from wrath, from judgment, from condemnation by hoping in
Christ. We're saved from sin, from wrath,
from judgment, from destruction, from condemnation. If you hope
in Christ, you're saved from sin. God promised that. If all your hope, all your trust,
all your belief is in Jesus Christ, Him and Him alone, He is righteous,
not you. His blood shed for the remission
of your sin, not you trying to pay for it. He paid for it. Is
that your hope? Not at what? Him. Is your hope
in Him? That's a sure hope. It's a good
hope through grace. And it's a sure hope because
He's called the surety. Alright? You'll be saved from
fear. He not only saves us from sin, wrath, judgment. He saves
us from fear, from doubts, from distress by hoping in Him. Psalm 42, listen to this. Psalm
42. Oh, man. And I tried to emphasize
that David was talking to a person. He's not talking about doctrine.
He's talking to and about a person. His hope is in a person. His
standing with God is in a person. His salvation is not what he
believes, but who? Listen to Psalm 42. He says, Lord, my soul is cast
down within me. And he said, why art thou cast
down, O my soul? Why art thou disquieted within
me? Hope thou in God. He said, I will yet praise Him.
He is the health of my countenance. He is my God. My God and my Savior. All right, in our text, in Romans
15, verse 4, it says, Whatsoever things are written aforetime
are written for our learning, that we through patience and
comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. We might learn, our
learning, to learn to trust God. We're still learning to trust
God. At times we don't, we're full of doubts and fears. Why?
Because we're not trusting the Lord. They're not looking to
Him. We're looking around us. We're
looking within us. Thou wilt keep him in perfect
peace whose mind is stayed where? You look anywhere else, you'll
have doubts. If you keep looking within, you'll have doubts and
fears. Are you with me? If you don't hear anything else
I say, would you hear this? If you keep looking within, you
know what you're going to find? A sinner. That's all you're going
to find. You're going to look for some
evidence. Well, I think I'm a child of God now because of what? Here's how you know you're a
child of God. Who shall lay anything in the
charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies. Who
is He that condemns it? Christ's dad. And Romans 8 went on and on and
on to say that because of who he predestinated, he called whom
he called, he justified, he glorified. And it says, who shall separate
us from what? The love of God. Your love will
be up and down. You'll be in and out. You'll
be confident one day and just no confidence at all. Look to Him. You will not hear a better message
then. We got to learn to trust the Lord and quit looking anywhere
else but look to Him. Job couldn't figure anything
out. Everything seemed to go against him. And he's thinking,
maybe, maybe I'm not one of the Lords. And he finally said, if He slays me, I'll trust Him.
What the Lord do? Have you read James began with
patience and ended with patience? And he ended with the patience
of Job. He said, you take the prophets for examples of patience.
What did all of them do? Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah. Lord, I'm the only one. No, you're
not. No, you're not. Jeremiah, why am I in this dungeon? Paul and Silas in the jail. Well, let's just trust the Lord.
Silas, let's just start singing. And his chains fell off. He said, I'll never leave you,
forsake you. You'll leave me, but I'll never
leave you. You will leave me, he said. Yes, you will. All of
you will deny me. Every one of you. But he can't
deny himself. You love that verse, don't you,
John Davis? You know how few people know that verse is in
the Bible? That's your hope in it. Isn't that your hope? All
of it is Him. Him. Patience. What does patience mean? Listen
to this and see if you have any. Patience, by definition, is to
be quiet and calm and steady and even-tempered, bearing all
provocation, pain, misfortune, without complaining, without
losing your temper, without being irritated. Patience. Anybody
have any? After all these years, let me
ask the older people, Nancy, John, Ed, Jeanette, nothing bothers
you? You're just calm and steady all
the time, never worried about a thing, just always, you know,
don't complain and you bear everything that comes your way with just
perfect peace. We need this, don't we? We need
to learn patience. Learn patience. The God of patience. That's where it comes from. It's
a gift. He has it all. It comes from
Him. Where does it come from? His Word. His Word. He called it the Word of His
Patience in Revelation 3. He said, You kept the Word of
My Patience. You keep turning to it. You keep
looking to Me. You keep leaning on Me and My
promises and all that. He said, I'll keep you when the
day of trouble comes. Trials. God of Patience. His Word. We get patience through
His Word. We get patience through trials.
James wrote, let patience have her perfect work. He says, the
trial of our faith worketh patience and patience experience. You've
got to go through some things and experience what? Hope. Hope. The comfort that we might have
comfort of Scripture. Patience comes from God's Word.
Patience comes from trials. and comfort of the Scripture,
the God of all comfort. God has written a book for our
comfort. Comfort means this, to soothe,
to console, to reassure, to settle you down, to ease your worries
and your fears. Anybody need comfort? Okay, so
he says, and you're going to like the way I end this, What
is written before time? It is written for our learning. That we, through patience and
comfort, would look back and see His wonderful dealings with
people just like us, going through a world just like we do, that
we might have hope and comfort of the Scripture. Because God
doesn't change. And we don't change, really.
We're still all a bunch of sinners. All right, let's go back a little
bit and see and try to remember God's gracious dealings with
some of these people like us, that we might have hope. All
right, Adam and Eve, let's start with the first two sinners. They
are arguably the worst sinners that ever lived. You know that? Wouldn't you agree
with that? They had everything. They had
everything. They lacked nothing. They lived
in paradise with God. But they shook their fist in
His face. Adam said, I choose this woman
over you, God. The woman said, I believe this
devil over you, God. The angels that kept not their
first estate, remember? That's exactly what Satan did.
I will. And he put that in a woman. You'll
be like God too. Who's God think He is to make
these rules over you? And Eve said, you're right. God was so good to her. Gave her everything. Everything. Arguably, the worst sinners on
earth. But God, they heard His voice. He came walking in the garden.
Eve, woman, what have you done? Does the Word of God ever say
that to you, woman? What have you done? Look at you. And she didn't do
that just to herself, she did it to Him. And here's repentance
against thee and thee only have I sinned and done this evil in
your sight and you'll be just if you judge me and send me to
hell right now. I'll get what I deserve if you
send me to hell. That's repentance. It's nobody's
fault but mine. And you'll be infinitely merciful
and gracious if you don't. Adam, what have you done? He
chose this woman over me. Anybody? Has anybody ever chosen
a man or a wife or a husband over God? How many times? Family, how many times? But God. How do they know that God's not
going to destroy them? He made a promise. The woman's
seed. That's Christ crucified. Then
He cast them out of the garden. Remember that? And all they had
was clothes on their back. They were good clothes. And now they know they're sinners. And they live nine hundred and
some years. Oh, can you imagine? My mother
lived a hundred years. I don't want to live a hundred
years in this world. Do you? Do you? But they had a promise, and they
lived the rest of their days. Their hope was in that promise.
And you know what? They're with the Lord right now. Noah. Wicked world all around
him. He believed God was going to
destroy this world. He believed it. And he ought to. All he could
see around him was sin. Like old Lot, remember? Oh, the
Lord is going to destroy this place. But Noah found grace in
the eyes of the Lord. How do you know? He moved with
fear. He feared God. He did. God. He feared God. He
just didn't fear going to hell. He feared God. And what did he
do? He prepared an ark. He preached righteousness for
100 years. He preached the same message
for 100 years. What? Christ our righteousness. The righteousness of God. And
Noah, one day, all he wanted, I hope this work is finished
before the rainfall. And I hope I'm found in that
ark when it's all over. I hope my sons, it's what I want
for Shem, Ham, and Japheth, my sons, this world's perishing.
And they may want this world, but I know it's perishing. And
what I hope for, what I want more than anything in this world,
I don't, this world's perishing. I want these boys of mine to
be in that ark. And so Noah had them working
on that ark every day. And he talked about the ark.
And everybody came into contact talking about the ark. Why? Because
that ark was his life. Noah wasn't a boat. It was Christ. Hope's not built in a boat. Our
hope's not in a doctrine. It's in a person. We preach a
person. You've got to be found in Him.
You've got to look to Him. I have so many. Joseph, look
what all happened to Joseph. Who did that? Joseph knew who
did it. That's how he endured. That's
how he endured. I see in him who's in vigil. He knew that God did that. Everything
that happened to him. There's some bad things that
happen to you. People mistreat you, don't they? Who did it?
God did. Whatever happens to you, God
did. He's the doer of it. Why? Wean you from this world.
Make you look to Him and Him alone. Joseph knew that. And in the
end, he said, men, everybody meant it for evil. He said, God
did it for my good. Because God's the one that worketh
all things according to the counsel of His will. And it's for my
good. I believed God. I loved God because
He first loved me. Moses, 40 years old, somebody
in the world. He had it all. He had Egypt,
fame and fortune. He had it all. There's not a
human being that doesn't want more money and riches. You know
what? One day he said, I don't want
any of this. One day he said, I don't need
any of this. He said, you know what I want?
And this is what I choose. If I'm given what I want, I'm
going to choose affliction with the people of God. The reproach
of Christ is better to me than all the treasures in all of Egypt.
And I'm just going to leave Egypt and I'm going to walk with God's
people through the wilderness to a place that He promised me.
And that's what I'm going to do. What about you? Rahab. I already brought her
up, didn't I? She sold herself to sin. Nobody
lived a life worse than Rahab. Nobody. You think her past haunted her?
You think she ever got over it? Never. But God sent two men to her. Not her neighbor. Her. Are you
the chief of sinners? Are you the chief of sinners?
Are you the only black sheep in here? Well, good. That's the
only kind of sheep God came to save. Black sheep. That's His
beloved. They're black. They're all black.
Is that you? God sent two men to her. Her! And made her a promise. And God
can't lie. Did they fulfill that promise?
Did they come get her? Yes, they did. When they started
blowing those trumpets, when those men started blowing those
trumpets, you reckon Rahab's heart skipped a beat. It's a promise about His coming.
A trumpet. And Joshua had them keep blowing
that trumpet. Why? Because there's somebody
in there that needs to hear this. There's a chief of sinners in
there I made a promise to. Keep blowing the trumpet, boys. And with every blow of that trumpet,
she's getting more excited. How about you? She's a hermit. But God sent
two men with promises. Joshua is coming to get you.
You trust in Him. You look to Him. You fear God.
Huh? You want to go be with Him? We're
coming for you, Rahab. And here's the trumpet to prove
it. The Gospel is the herald of Jesus
Christ. It's not a social thing. It's
not entertainment. It's talking about Him. Who's
interested in Him? That's who he's coming for. That's
who all things works together for good. Them that love him.
Those that love his coming. This separates Christians in
name only from those who Christ is their life. He's coming when? Wednesday night. Sunday morning. Where two or
three are gathered. I'll be there. I will too." Rahab
said, Really? Trap it. It made her heart skip. And it blew seven times perfectly. Perfect piece. Finally, what
happened? He banged. Just like he said
he would. Third day, Jericho heard it. Fourth day, Jericho heard it.
Fifth day, they weren't hearing a thing. Sixth day, there goes
that trumpet again. Seventh day, He came to get one harlot and her family. Now, what's your hope? Is it
in you? It's in His promise. It's in Him. Our hope's in God,
not man. Our hope's in Christ, not self.
Our hopes and His promises, not in my faith. It's by grace, you see, and not
by faith that the promise might be sure. I'll be late. I don't trust Him enough. Do
you trust Him at all? That's enough. Ruth, Naomi, I had so
many. Naomi, she's an old widow. Look
what she did to her and her family. She's coming back. Naomi, she's
lost it all. She's alone. Oh, she's got this
young woman. You just wait. Naomi, you're going to sing to
the top of your lungs. It's going to be joy unspeakable
and full of glory when you're sitting with your kinsman and
redeemer and think, why did I ever doubt Him? Look what I did, but
look what he did. Look what I did, I rejected him,
went after the world, went to Moab, married, and on and on
it goes. And God began to take everything
away from her. Take everything away from her.
And brought her back, humble, broken. And in Boaz, he represents
Christ now. Now. That was all on purpose. to bring you to me, because I'm
your Redeemer. And now you're going to live
with me forever. Amen. Okay. Let's sing a closing
hymn.
