This is the Truth. These 5 points make up the Truth. Some call it Calvinism, but it is the Truth of how God saves sinners. Anyone who does not preach this is a false prophet. Anyone who does not believe this is lost. Everyone God saves knows the Truth, and these 5 points are the Truth.

Alright, go with me to 2 Thessalonians
chapter 2. The title of this message is
written in the books, I guess it is, I didn't even get one, The Five Points of Truth,
or you could call this the Doctrines of Grace, which most of you are
familiar with, maybe someones not. I remember Gabe told me that
when he first started Bears Pasture, he taught these five points with
tulip. Tulip. I'll tell you in a minute
if you don't know. And he said someone heard it
and they said, I've never heard that before. And they were just
rejoicing over that. I hope you do. And I hope it
comes out as more than doctrine. Someone may recognize these points
and call them the five points of Calvinism. I don't like to
refer to them as that, although I love John Calvin. I am not ashamed to be linked
with that blessed man. But it didn't originate with
him. And the truth shouldn't be associated with any man's
name. This is God's truth. God's truth. The five points of God. Alright,
look at 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 13 and 14. It says, We are bound
to give thanks always to God for you. Brethren, beloved, that
means forloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen
you to salvation, the word chosen is elect, to save through sanctification
of the Spirit, that's set apart, Again, that's choice. And belief
of the truth, that's faith, not of yourselves, the gift of God.
Whereunto, that is this salvation, He called you by our gospel to
the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. In those verses, there's no ifs,
ands, buts, or maybes. No, we sure hope it turns out
all right. And I'm going to give you five points,
but there's five million. But it all can be summed up this
way. And really, it all starts with, the truth starts with God,
that God is sovereign. God worketh all things according
to His will, His purpose, that purpose that He made before the
world began. This truth is, as it were, a
wheel. A perfect wheel. Complete. No beginning or ending. It begins
with the hub, but it all revolves around God reigns and rules. God is sovereign over everything. And not just that, but sovereign
in salvation. Now this is what we're going
to talk about. Salvation. So it all begins with God is
sovereign. Then you have these five spokes. of this wheel, and
it all is connected and held together by Jesus Christ. You're complete in Him. It all comes together, and we
see it in Christ. All right. And someone came up
with this, and I'm glad they did, for ease of remembrance.
You know what an acrostic is? It's where you take a word and
take each letter of that word and make a truth or a statement
with that letter. Alright? Tulip. Tulip. T-U-L-I-P. I believe some of
you could tell what that is. I know you could. Tulip. Total depravity. This is where
we're going to start. Unconditional election. limited
atonement, irresistible grace, perseverance. I said it right. Perseverance,
but really it ought to be perseverance of the saints. Five points. This is the truth. This is how
God saves sinners. This proves, this shows, this
clearly states and declares salvation is 100% of the Lord, that man
has no part in it, no part in it, and we read in Ephesians
1, to the praise of the glory of his grace. Salvation by grace,
the gift of God. I've got to get into it. Total
depravity. I'm going to give you two Scriptures
with each truth, okay? Total depravity. Romans 5. Go to Romans 5 with me. Romans
chapter 5. And again, I could give you 2,000.
2,000 Scriptures. They're not hard to find. Oh,
my. If you have eyes to see, it's on every page. Every line. Romans 5. Total depravity. Here's
the truth. Here's the absolute truth. All
men and women, all young people, all children are born into this
world dead to God, dead in sin. That means they're
unable to be holy, unable to not sin, unwilling to believe
God, do not love God, do not know God, cannot know God, will
not call on God, will not seek God. hates holiness, hates truth,
hates righteousness, comes forth from the womb speaking lies.
And I'm going to quote scripture after scripture if you recognize
it. Comes forth from the womb speaking lies, born of a sinful
woman, and come forth sinful. fallen through, wicked, vile,
depraved, unable, unwilling, dead, and trespassed himself.
Now, you know this is more than a doctrine. You know it by experience. You who were dead. Romans 5 verse
12 says this, By one man, wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into
the world, and death by sin. And so death passed upon all
men, for all have sinned. Verse 14, Nevertheless, death
reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned
at the similitude of Adam's transgression. That means children, babies are
born dead. It's not talking about physical
death, although it is. Now, here it is. This began in
the garden. You can go to Ephesians 2 next,
Ephesians 2. Charles Spurgeon once said this,
he says, Calvinism is the gospel, and the gospel is Calvinism.
It is. He made no apology. These truths. And in our text in 2 Thessalonians,
it says, some receive not the love of the truth. And God sent
them strong delusions. And they believe a lie that didn't
receive the truth. And if you love it, we're saved
by the truth. And we receive the truth and
we believe the truth and we love the truth. This is the truth. And this is how you know you
received it. You love it. You believe it. Most people don't.
They hate it. Why? They're lost. If anyone
hears this and says, I don't like that, they're lost. If any
man stands up and preaches contrary to this, he's a false prophet. That's right. Spurgeon, whom
everybody just about will recognize today, even those that don't
believe what he preached, he said this, if you're wrong on
the fall, you'll be wrong on it all. If you don't know what
happened in the garden, you're going to be wrong on it all.
It all starts here. Ephesians 2 verse 1, and you
hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sin. Quickened
means made alive. Here it is. He describes it.
You walked according to the course of this world, according to the
prince of the power of the air, spirit that now worketh in the
children of disobedience. among whom also we all had our
conversation in time past, the lust of our flesh, fulfilling
the desires of the flesh and of the mind, were by nature the
children of wrath, even as others." All of them, children of wrath.
What does that mean? Hate God. Romans 3 talks about that, to
hate God. Everybody by nature hates God. Oh, preacher, I don't
hate God. People don't hate their concept of God. They hate the
God of the Bible who said this. Calvin didn't say that. God did. You were dead. And our Lord said
in the garden, He said to Adam and Eve, the day you eat thereof
you shall surely die. That day you will die. They ate
that fruit. Did they die? Adam lived 930
years. But that day, he died. He lost his mind. He lost his
heart. He lost righteousness. He lost his understanding. He
lost purity. He began to hate. He began to
despise. And this sin entered his being. And everybody that comes from
him, it's there. Total depravity. And everyone
that's saved, everyone that's born again, everyone that's quickened
knows this. I once was dead. Now I'm alive. And you can't
convince anybody of this. You can tell them, and they can
be convinced in their head. But until the Lord quickens,
then you'll quit arguing. Not doctrine. This is life. It's
experience. Not a mental agreement. It's
a new heart. Secondly, total depravity. Totally depraved. And this is why we preach this
Gospel, why we preach this message, and this is all we do, because
we know this is what God uses, the truth, to give life, to open
eyes and open ears. And our children, no amount of
convincing and talking and trying to get them is going to change
them at all, no amount of it, but God. Just like us, in the
fullness of time, when He sends forth His Son, through the gospel,
the truth as it is in Christ. Life begins. Not until. Unconditional election. Well,
Romans 9. Romans 9. And you can think of
many scriptures. But Romans chapter 9, unconditional
election. What this means is, this truth
is, that since all people are born dead in trespass and sin,
Since all are born rebels against God, come forth from the womb
speaking lies, and will not call on God, will not seek God, hate
God. God had to, from the beginning,
before the world began, had to choose to save some of those. He had to choose to do this work
for them, because they can't. They won't. But God said, I will. And before the world began, he
chose to save some of these lost people. And I'm not going to
answer every argument, all right? But he chose to save some. But I will answer this argument.
Some people will say that's not fair. None of God's people ever
say that. If someone says that's not fair,
you're lost. Because every one of the elect, you know what they
say? You know what they say? Every one of God's elect, when
they hear about this, and they believe they're one of them,
you know what they all say? I don't understand why He chose me. I don't understand. Except to
the praise of the glory of Israel. Only the elect love election. They receive a love of the truth.
Romans 9, look at verse 11. It said, the children, speaking
of Isaac's two children, Jacob and Esau, the children being
not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the
purpose of God, according to election, might stand, is not
of works. It's not of works. They hadn't
done any yet. They weren't even born yet. But of him that calleth, chooseth
and calleth. It was said unto their mother,
the elder shall serve the younger. That is, Esau shall serve Jacob. As it is written, Jacob have
I loved, but Esau have I hated. What do you say to that? Verse
14 said that. What shall we say then? Is this
not fair? Is there unrighteousness with
God? Forbidden. Jacob didn't deserve to be loved,
and neither did Esau. Esau proved he hated God. He sold the birthright. He said,
I'm not interested in these things of God. You can have it. Just
give me a bowl of beans. And that's what people all over
the world say. That's what everybody says. You can have God. I'm not
interested in God. Just give me something to eat.
Let me just play a little bit and have fun. God's given it
all. God's given it all. God's given
it all. I've never given Him a thought. Should God love those people?
Anything to love me about? No. But God, who is rich in mercy,
for His great love. Herein is love, not that we love
God, but that He loved us. Quicken chose some. Jacob, have I loved? He doesn't
love me. He's going to. He's going to. He's totally depraved. He's dead
in sin. He's not going to stay that way. I'm not going to give
him life. But his sin, what are you going
to do about that? I'm going to pay for him. Jacob, have I loved? Before they
were born. Spurgeon, I like this, he said,
I know God had to choose me before I was born. How many times? Because he said,
I know He wouldn't have chosen me after. Wait and see what I was going
to do. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 9. Ephesians 1. Go over
there. Ephesians 1. We could just stay
in Ephesians because we don't have to turn anywhere else. It's
all here. Tulip is all here in Ephesians
1. Unconditional election means
He didn't choose you because of anything He saw you would
do. That means unconditional. He didn't choose these people
because He saw they would believe on Him. That's what false religion
says. That's what false preachers say,
all of them, election's in. They say that election's in.
God voted for you, Satan votes against you, you cast it aside
and vote. That's what all false religion
says today. That's what they call election. One wise fellow said there's
many things wrong with that. Number one, Satan has no voting rights. He has no say over anything.
God reigns among the armies of heaven and the heavens of the
earth. Foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord
knoweth them that are His. All souls are mine, God said.
I will do what I will with whom I will. Satan has no say. And we weren't born yet to vote.
This election took place before we were born. We weren't a voting
age. Well, as they say, I said I wasn't
going to do this, but this is what they do. God looked down
through the telescope of time to see who would believe on Him,
and there He is. He's going to believe on me,
so I'll choose Him. I'll elect Him. That doesn't even make good
sense, does it? That's God getting credit for
something He didn't do. At this man, he saw this fellow
was going to believe, so he chose him. Chose him for what? Huh? Chose him for what? God. Ephesians 1, verse 4, we
read it. It says, According as he hath
chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children." I heard some false
preacherette, preacheress woman, and they're all false. They're
all false. On the radio she said, predestination
doesn't have anything to do with people. It only has to do with
things. What an ignoramus. Four times it's mentioned here
in Romans 8. All four times it's talking about
people. Having predestinated us unto
the adoption of children, He chose a people before the
world began. The reason being, because if
He hadn't chosen us, we would never choose Him. Our Lord said
this, you will not come unto me that you might have life. And he said, no man can come
unto me, except, and that's one of my verses ahead of me. That's
one of my other verses. Except the Father which hath
sent me to draw him. You're not coming unless I bring
you. You're not going to believe unless I give you thanks. You're
not going to call unless I give you a call. Preacher, what's
the point? The glory of God. That's the point in this whole
universe. That's the reason this ball is still spinning. The glory
of God. We'll see. Every eye is going
to see it. This was all about the glory of God and the glory
of His Son. Limited atonement. L-T-U-L. Limited atonement. Look at John
10, about the good shepherd. You know this is the same shepherd
that's in Ezekiel 34, don't you? same one, same God, same Lord,
same Shepherd, Psalm 23. John 10, limited atonement means
particular redemption, means Jesus Christ shed his blood for
the elect, not everybody. Christ didn't die for everybody. Ralph Barnard, an evangelist,
came to the South preaching this truth, these truths, and the
truth years ago. And he said in a big nationwide
meeting in Ashland, Kentucky, where all the so-called churches
were gathered together, because everybody goes when there's a
preaching meeting, you know, a tent meeting back then, like
entertainment. And they all came out and sat
there and Barnard got up. And this was the truth that like
a bomb dropped in Ashland, Kentucky, to the damnation of some and
the salvation of others. He stood up and said, the two
biggest lies ever been told. One, is that God loves everybody. Two, that Jesus died for everybody. He said, ain't neither one of
them so. My dad was there, a 27-year-old Armenian lost preacher. Lost
preacher. Thought he knew God. Preaching
the gospel was another gospel. He'll tell you. Lost, zealous,
lost, false preacher. And he said he heard that and
it was like a bomb exploding. And he said you could hear the
jaws of people hitting the floor. But we thought, didn't God say,
thou thoughtest. I was altogether such one as
yourself. And I'm going to put things in order before you. Total
depravity. Unconditional election. Particular
atonement or limited atonement that Jesus Christ, since they're
dead, they can't make a choice. Since
God elected them, choose them, He's not going to apply Christ's
blood to somebody He didn't choose. Why would He do that? Why would
Christ die for somebody God didn't choose? That's foolish, isn't
it? That's wasting the blood, isn't
it? Not one drop of that blood is to be wasted. Christ's blood was shed, Christ
died to redeem God's chosen people. John 10, verse 11, our Lord said,
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his
life for the sheep. Didn't our Lord say in the last
days, he'll separate the sheep from what? The goats. He'll bring the sheep on his
right hand and the goats on his left hand and say to the sheep,
enter thou, blessed of the Lord, into the kingdom prepared for
you before the world began. Cast them out in outer darkness.
But that's unfair. They hated him. They rejected
the truth. They said, we don't like that.
There's nothing unfair about that at all. And Christ died for these to
put away their sin. Verse 14, I am the good shepherd
and know my sheep and have known of mine. As the Father knoweth
me, so know I the Father. I lay down my life for thee sheep. Verse 26, he said to some that
were arguing with him, you believe not because you're not my sheep. I don't believe in that particular
redemption. I don't believe that Christ just died for his people.
I think he made an offer. Then you're not his sheep. Is that too plain? Preacher,
that's hard. That's what they said to Christ
one day. They said, these are hard sayings. He said, then leave. Didn't he? And he said to his
disciples, will you go away also? I was dead. You came and found
me. I didn't have any interest at
all. You took an interest in me. I heard about this Jesus of Nazareth.
I heard about it. I didn't care. I loved fishing
more. But God came by to my boat. Here's Philip. Here's Andrew.
Here's James. Here's John. He came to my boat. and said, come. And I came. This was life, not doctrine. I was dead, you quickened me. I didn't choose you, you chose
me. I can't put away one sin, you came to put away them all.
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation
is of the Lord. If I'm saved, He did it! Not saved by our faith in the
blood? Christ's blood was not shed as an offer of salvation
that you must accept or reject. It was an offering to God. It
was an offering to God. Say, preacher, quit hollering.
No! It was an offering to God. Open
the windows. Christ offered Himself to God
as a payment for the sins of His people. Not everybody. It
wasn't an attempt, but it was an atonement. It wasn't a down
payment and you make the rest of the payment with your faith,
with your work. No! The blood of Jesus Christ, God's
Son, cleanses us from all sin. He died for His people. entered
in once into the holy place, made without hands, having obtained
eternal redemption for us." Who's us? Well, whoever they are, he
did it and it's done. Paid for. Sins are gone. Particular
redemption. And this is all through the Scripture.
The Old Testament, the high priest would go in with the blood of
a lamb before the Lord, not for everybody in the world, not for
who would accept it. He had names. Names written on
his breastplate and on his shoulders. And those names, he went in and
offered up that blood for the remission of the sins of those
people he called by name. He said, I know my sheep. I call
them by name. And here's what I call them and
tell them. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for you. Now,
won't you accept it? No, no, no. You will accept this. No, no, no. He's not asking anything.
He's just telling. I chose you. And now I'm giving
you this wonderful revelation. I'm running out of time. 1 Peter 1. Go over there. 1 Peter 1. Again, this is not
doctrine, although it is. This is how God saves sinners.
This is what they hear. And this is who hears it. Those
that believe the elect. Those that are redeemed by Christ,
they know who redeemed them. They know they weren't redeemed
with corruptible things. They know that faith doesn't
make the blood of Christ effectual. That's what false preachers say.
Well, He made this offer, and whoever believes it, it's for
them. No! The blood gives faith. Whoever he died for, the Spirit
of God comes and gives faith. It's not the other way around. Faith doesn't make the blood
effectual. The blood makes faith effectual. 1 Peter 1, this is what it says. 2 Peter, he said, to those who
obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness
of God and our Savior. 2 of 1 Peter 1, elect according
to the foreknowledge of God, and that word is the same word
in Romans 8, for love. Know beforehand in an intimate
way, love. Elect according to the foreknowledge
of God, the Father, through sanctification of spirit, that means the spirit
separates them like sheep from the goats, unto obedience and
sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. That's one sentence.
They're elect, set apart for God to apply the obedience, apply
the righteousness, impute the righteousness of Jesus Christ
to their camp. And the sprinkling of blood,
that he applied the blood to who? The elect. And he says to them, grace to
you, and peace be multiplied. And I could give you so many
scriptures, so many, but everyone that's saved knows, they know
this much, it's the blood that make atonement
for the soul. that if I'm saved in the end,
it's because God saw the blood applied to my soul. Not me believing
in it either. Irresistible grace. T-U-L-I. Irresistible grace. You still
with me? Somebody is. Psalm 65. Go to Psalm 65 with
me. Psalm 65. This is another way to refer to the effectual call,
the call of the Holy Spirit. We read that in 2 Thessalonians
2 verse 13, whom he called by our gospel. Sanctification of
the Spirit, belief of the truth. Whereunto he called you by our
gospel. That's the effectual call. Irresistible
grace. that God who elected a people,
they were dead, He chose them, sent Christ to die for them,
and everyone God chose, everyone Christ died for, He sends the
Holy Spirit through the preaching of the truth, this right here,
through the preaching of the gospel, no more, no less, through
the preaching of the gospel and calls them. And because this call is the
quickening power of God, life is given through the call, they
can't resist. They can't resist. They come. They come. Like I said, Simon
Peter was in his boat, and the Lord came to him and called him. Well, what if he wouldn't come? But he did. But what? He did. Why? Because Christ called him. All power is given unto me in
heaven. I've called. I call. Come. And they come. Psalm 65, verse 4. Here it is, the election and
the call. Blessed is the man whom thou
choosest. and cause us to approach unto
thee, that we may dwell in thy courts, thy holy temple forever."
Pray as a parent. Irresistible grace, and if you
want to turn to one more, go back to Ephesians 2 again and
go back there. But our Lord God sent the Holy
Spirit to all whom Christ died for through the preaching of
the gospel, the preaching of the Word, to give life, to call
them, Scripture says, from darkness to light. To call them, Scripture
says, from death to life. To call them out of the world
into His Kingdom. This is an irresistible call.
The Holy Spirit is sovereign like God the Father, like God
the Son. And the wind bloweth where it
listeth, our Lord said. You cannot tell the sound thereof.
You don't know where He's going or who He's going to do it to.
But our Lord said, you just preach the Gospel and whoever God chose
and whoever Christ died for, when it's time, the Holy Spirit
descends upon them They're coming. They're coming. Why? The irresistible
grace. Grace is not an offer people,
it's an act. Salvation is not an offer of God to people, it's
an act of God upon them and for them. What did I tell you? Ephesians 2 verse 4 says, But
God, who is rich in mercy for His great love wherewith He loved
us, even when we were dead in sin, quickened us together with
Christ, by grace you say, He's raised us up together, made us
sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the
ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace
and His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are
you saved through faith, yes, but it's not of yourselves. It's
the gift of God, God the Holy Spirit. It's not of works, lest
any man should boast. We're His workmanship. Repentance is the gift of God.
It's the work of the Holy Spirit. Faith is the gift of God. It's
the work of the Holy Spirit. You will believe. There was a
day when you were in false religion and you said, I don't believe
that legend. And there was a day when you came and said, I most
certainly do. There was a day when you said,
I just don't believe man's dead. And there was a day when you
came and said, I know he is because I was. It's a day of life. Live. Oh my, we could turn to Ezekiel
16, we could turn to Ezekiel 37, we could keep going all through
the Scripture. This truth. If you supposedly
were saved under this other gospel, you're yet in your sins. You
know, people that hate this and argue against this, you know
why they do it? One reason. One reason. One reason. They're
defending a false profession that they made. They're defending
themselves. Every time. Or somebody they
know and love. Mama didn't believe it. Daddy
didn't believe it. I know they're saved. If anybody's saved, I
know Mama is. If anybody's in heaven, I know Mama is. Why?
Because she... If you say, because she, she's
not there. Mama said, because Christ died
for me. Because God chose me. I was dead and He quickened me.
Because God had mercy on my soul. Because God, because God, because
Christ, because Christ, because the Holy Spirit came there. I
was ignorant. I was dead. I was like Lazarus. I was dead.
Because God, the Holy Spirit, one day in mercy and grace and
love to me, called me out of darkness. That's why I'm saved. Then you are saved. You're not
if you believe anything contrary to that. Is that too rough? This is the preaching. This is
the message that opened blind eyes. Wasn't it, Brother Henry?
This is the message. Dead, blind, religious people like the Pharisees
of old and one day old Nicodemus. Here's a better one. Saul of
Tarsus came. He hated this. Boy, when Christ
the living Lord met him on that road to Damascus and put him
in the dirt, and He said, now what are you going to do with
Jesus? Now let's talk about your free
will. Saul? Let's talk about your works. Saul? Let's talk about who chose
who. Saul? Let's talk about this,
how are you going to get to heaven. Saul? All Saul could say was, Lord,
what will you have me to do? Life has come to that fellow.
Life. He was dead in religion. That's
twice dead. Perseverance, preservation, perseverance
of the saints. I love it. Those of you who first
heard Brother Bruce Crabtree say that, love him for it and
love it. Perseverance. The high and mighty
and the wise of this world would look down on that fellow with
no education and say, well, see, how grammatically incorrect is
he? Oh, but he's spiritually and theologically right on the
money. In fact, it's a better word.
Let's just go ahead and leave it there. The P on tulip is perseverance
of the saints. Preservation by God. Perseverance
by that. They go together. You won't have
one without the other. If God doesn't preserve you,
you won't persevere. This was one of my scriptures. Kept by the power of God through
faith. You see, there it is, faith,
not of your sin. Yeah, but we've got to believe.
You'll quit believing tomorrow if the Lord doesn't keep your
faith. Perseverance of the saint. Don't
you love that? Perseverance of the saint. That's
my salvation. He said he'd preserve me. That's
Psalm 121, isn't it? He that keepeth Israel. And he
said, all that I keep will keep lay hold of me and won't let
go. They'll persevere through it all. Because, see, this doesn't
give glory to man. It gives glory to God that would
enable such a weak, fickle human being that's liable to fall to
anything to keep on. That proves that He said the
Lord. Perseverance of the Saint John
10, and then I'll close with this. No, I'm going to close
with Jeremiah 32. You've got to see it. Jeremiah
32. But John 10, it says this. I've got two more minutes. Three
more minutes. John 10 says this. Our Lord says this. In verse
27. You have it? John 10, 27. My
sheep hear my voice. I know them. They follow me.
I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
Why, Lord? For neither shall any man pluck them out of My
hand. Why, Lord? Because My Father that gave them
Me," that's election, "...is greater than all, and no man will pluck them out of My Father's
hand." I've heard all the arguments that you have too. Someone says,
but you can jump out of His hand. No man, not even you. Don't you
like this? Don't you like this? Ask Noah. Noah, why are you saved? Because
God chose me and put me in that ark and shut the door and pitched
it. Ask Noah. Did he have sinful
thoughts? Huh? Did he sin his mind and
his heart while he was in the ark? Yes, he did. Did he fall
out? No. Why? He's shut up. He's shut in. Perseverance. And the pitch is covered inside. Now, he can't get out even if
he wanted to. I don't like that preacher. I love it. If I'm saved, it's going to be
against my depraved will. Perseverance, Jeremiah 32, and
I promise, Jeremiah 32, this is what our
Lord says, and people can just argue with Him, but not for long. Jeremiah 32,
verse 38, oh my, hold on to your pew. He says in verse 38, they
shall be my people and I will be their God. Who's He talking
about? Israel, his chosen, his elect. Verse 39, I will give
them one heart and one way that they may fear me forever for
the good of them, of their children after them. I will make an everlasting
covenant with them. I will not turn away from them. They'll turn away from me, but
I'll go and get them. I will not turn away from them
to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts
that they shall not depart from me." Doctrine, this is my life and
my salvation. Salvation is of the Lord for
His glory. Oh, everybody in heaven is going
to be singing about Him who chose them, who loved them, who washed
them from their sins in His own blood. No talk about anybody
or anything or anyone but Him. Unto Him. T-U-L-I-P. Salvations of the Lord. Okay,
John, come up. Lead us in a closing hymn. All right, let's all turn to
number 235. Number 235. We'll take the first and the second. Gentle Savior, hear my humble
cry. Pass me by. Savior, Savior, hear my humble
cry. While on others Thou art calling,
do not pass me by. Let me at a throne of mercy Kneeling there in deep contrition,
my unbelieved Savior, Savior, humble Christ. Do not pass me by, that's the
last thing in your mirror.
