Second Timothy one twelve says
Paul says, I'm not ashamed of the gospel. I know whom I have. Believed and persuaded he's able
to keep that. Job committed. And to him against
that second Timothy one twelve. All right, go with me now to
first John two first John chapter two. And let's read verses 3 through
6. This is where we left off in our study of 1 John. 1 John 2 verses 3 through 6, And
hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and
keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not
in him, but whoso keepeth his word in him, verily or truly,
is the love of God perfected. Hereby know we that we are in
him. He that saith he abideth in him
himself also, so to walk even as he walks. Now, it says hereby
we know that we know him. John says this often throughout
this letter. We know hereby we do know. It says over in chapter three,
we know that we've passed from death unto life because of something. Hereby we know that we are of
the truth, it says. Chapter five, it says this, that
we know that we love that and so on. Did that catch your attention? Does that interest you? Do you
want to know? You may know. It says, Hereby
we may know. Hereby we do know that we know
God. Many claim to, most claim to
know God. And he said, but this is salvation.
Christ said, this is eternal life, that they might know the
only true God. Does that interest you? It does
me. It just caught my attention.
Hereby, this is how we may know. All right. He says, verse two
or three, I mean, he says, we do know that we know him if we
keep his commandments. Now, I can see already on the
face of some of you, that bothered you. Because you wrongly interpret
that, just like the rest of the world does. This word, keep. Nearly everyone everywhere. Believes
that word keep means to obey. Or do. Now it's a good word keep is
a good word but we wrongly interpret that keep as as to obey or do
when you say. You don't say well. We generally
don't say keep the law you say obey the law no. When you keep something. What
does that mean when you use the word keep what you say I will
keep that. You know hold on to it that's
right. That's what this means. Now you feel better. Nobody. obeys the law of God
perfectly. He's already said that in chapter
one, didn't he? If any man say he hath no sin. He already said that. This has
got to be in keeping with the rest of God's word. He already
said if we say we have not sinned, we're going to see over in chapter
three where it says if any man sinned, he that committed sins
of the devil. He started out by saying if any
man say that he had not sinned, he's a liar. The scripture says there's none
that do it if that means doing the commandment. Only those those who know him
do the law look at verse verse five who so keep up his word
in him barely is the love of God perfected whoever keep or
does obeys the law. Loves God perfectly is that what
they say. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, There's none good. Our Lord said
that there is none good, but God. Isn't that what he said? God's people are good people.
Why? They're in Christ. And Christ
is in them. They're not good in themselves. They're not good in themselves.
You know all these things. Most of you, 98% of you know
this. Everybody knows this. How good
do we have to be to get to heaven? As good as God. Now, God's people strive to do
good. They strive to obey God's law. They strive to obey and
do God's law. I'm not teaching against that.
Scripture says, if any man does, he's least in the kingdom. And I'm getting to the heart
of this for our comfort. God's people, they strive to
do good. They're do-gooders. They're a bunch of goody-two-shoes.
Yeah, they are. They want their shoes to walk
in paths of righteousness. But they cannot. They know they
cannot do so perfectly. They know that. And nor are we
rewarded for trying. God's people aren't rewarded
for trying to do good. Well, you did the best you could,
son, so come on in. No, sir. No, ma'am. There's only
one reason and only one thing God rewards anybody for. Christ
is our reward. And God rewards him. for what he did. And he didn't
try to do good. He did it. Look at 2 Timothy
chapter 4 with me. 2 Timothy chapter 4. Paul says he kept something. 2 Timothy 4. The Apostle Paul writing to Timothy.
He's about to die for preaching the truth. Paul is about to die
and meet God. And here's what he said. Here's
his comfort. Here's his hope. to stand before
God. Look at second Timothy four verse
six. I'm now ready to be offered the
time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I
finished my course. I have you look at. Kept what. The law that he say, I kept the
law. I'm a keeper of the commandments.
I'm a. He didn't say, I've kept the
law. And so he says here, henceforth, there's laid up for me a crown
of righteousness. Is this important? Well, it sure
is. Like I said, even you who know
the gospel, when I read that to you, you got a frightened
look over your face. Oh, I broke the law. I don't
keep the commandments like that. Having begun in the spirit, Will
we be made perfect by the flesh? No. Christ is our righteousness. It's not us keeping the law. OK. He said, I've kept the faith
and so will every believer until he dies. That's right. By God's grace, Paul's not saying
that he did all this himself. You know that. You've read his
too many letters. He's not saying that. He said,
I'm in the battle, and those that are in it, they fight, and
they keep the faith. The faith. What is the faith?
Faith. Paul said this. And to keep something
is to hold it fast and not want to lose it. In other words, this
is to grab hold of it and and hug up to it. So brother Maurice
would say hug up to it and not let go up for anything or anyone.
Not sell it for anything. And Paul said there in Hebrews,
he said, let us hold fast. The beginning of our confidence. Steadfast under the keep hold
of this don't let go. What the beginning of our conference
how did you come to Christ how did you come to God as a righteous
person here I am I play my life up and now. Now you came, Hal,
as a sinner, pleading the mercy of God, pleading the grace of
God in Christ, pleading the blood and the righteousness of the
Lord Jesus Christ. I said, will you have me? He
said, yes. God says, salvation is free. Salvation is by my mercy. Salvation is by my grace. Salvation
is completely in Christ. Here's the gospel. Take it. I
said, I will. And he laid hold of it. Passed. Man, a drowning man will
grab hold of that life preserver, won't he, huh? You don't have
to tell him, no, no, get it, get it, grab it, here it is now,
why aren't you getting it? Come on now, you know you're
drowning. You don't have to tell a drowning man that. You don't
have to tell a man in a burning building to jump. What fools
soul winners are, so-called soul winners. Jump, man, the building's
burning. If it's really burning, he'll jump, buddy, he'll dive.
And if a man's really a sinner, he'll get to Christ as fast as
he can. He'll lay hold of Him and nothing and nobody will make
him let go. You can have that stuff. I've
found it. And we know we don't find Him.
But that's what Philip said, that we found Him. And buddy,
while others were leaving, Christ said, will you go away? Peter
said, no, sir. No, this is life. It's not just
a religion. This is life. It's my life. My
life preserver. May I use that? Christ is my
life preserver. It's my salvation. We lay hold
on him. That's what the word keep meant.
Now go back to the text and look at it again. Hereby we do know
that we know him if we keep his Commandments are his word. That's his word. If we lay hold
of and not want to lose and not willing to let go of his word, we know him. In a day when many people are
by him, take it or leave it, they don't know him, do they?
They don't know God. They don't know Christ. They
don't know themselves. They don't know the danger that they don't
know we know how. This is this is it this is everything. The word keep now. Let me give
you a little lesson in Bible reading OK. The translator God gave us. men years ago who translated
this into the English language and they did a wonderful job.
It just can't be improved upon. It really can't. By order of
a king. King James. If they didn't do
it right, they were under threat of death. And make you stay true to the
text with. Cut your head off. It's not right. So diligently, if you look in
the beginning of your bios is diligently compared and. Diligently,
her life was on the line, right? I thank God for those of me,
and most of the time it cannot be improved upon the words you
have in front of you cannot be improved upon. But if you have a strong concordance,
and I recommend, strongly recommend everyone to get a concordance,
a Bible concordance. For one thing, it enables you
to look up passages of Scripture when you don't know where they
are. If you can think of a word, just any word in that verse,
you can go and find it in a concordance. And a good one has also a Hebrew
dictionary. That's what the Old Testament
was written in, Hebrew. gives you a dictionary that more
that fully develops each word and a Greek dictionary, which
is the New Testament written in Greek. At the word, but let
me tell you this, don't get caught up too much in that because the
word we have here is the best. Sometimes you can look at it
and get a more full meaning. Like the word keep here, I think
that's a good word, keep. Do you let me just ask you, do
you want you want to keep God's word or are you willing to throw
it away? What are you traded for? What
will you trade? Is this not the greatest possession that man
could have? The mind, the will, the purpose of God, the salvation
of God is found in these words. This is the will. This is the
will and the testament. And you want to hear it read
all the time. over and over again. What do you take for it Nancy
what will you take for it? Nothing. I'm going to keep it.
That's a good word isn't it? Keep. Keep. But I looked a little further
and the word keep I'm not trying to impress you with my Greek.
Five year old kids know Greek better than I do. Two year old
The word is tiraeo, which means to watch, to guard from loss. That's key. No, no, no, you can't
have that. To guard from injury. To guard
from injury. Not let anybody or anything injure
it. Now, that's a good definition. Something you love, if there's
something you love, you don't want anybody to take it from
you, and you don't want anybody to do damage to it. Are you with
me? There's something you really
love. You don't want anybody to do damage to it. He that hath my commandments,
and keepeth them. David said, Lord, it's time for
you to do something. They're making void your law.
They're damaging your word. They're bringing down your glory. Man's only good at his word.
Call a man a liar and he's worthless. Well, they're calling God a liar.
Who? Enemies of the Lord. They that say they know him,
scripture says in verse 4, look at it. He that saith, I know
him, and keepeth not his word. He's a liar. God's not the liar. They are. The truth is not in
him. You see what that's saying? It's to keep a close watch, keep
an eye on it. Hey, there's a wolf. Hey, stay away from that. You see that? That's what that
means, keep a close watch on it. All right? Many religious
folks say they believe God. Now, listen to me, everybody.
And this is not a message against religion, but there's all sorts
of negatives in the Scripture. Positive against the negative.
Hereby we know him if we keep his commandments. If a man say
he knows him, he keepeth not his commandments. He's a liar. Religious folks say they know
God and they love God. Many religious folks say they
love God. Who does? Now, who really loves
God? Those that love his word. I mean, really love his word.
And not willing to let go of one word of his word. Not willing
to change, not willing for anybody to do any damage to his word. Take one word out of it. That's
what religion are doing, like that old pagan king who got him
a penknife. Who was that? Who was that pagan
king? I forget. Jehoiakim or someone,
whoever it was. Jeremiah sent the word of the
Lord to him. And it wasn't nice. It didn't
tell him what a sweet king he was and how much God needed him
and couldn't do the work without him. No, sir. And so he didn't
like it. It was just an indictment against
his evil person and so forth. So he said, I don't like that.
He got him a penknife and began to cut out pages and throw them
in the fire. I don't like that either. And isn't that what religion
is doing to this precious book? This is not just a Bible. This
is God's Word. Who loves God? You ever got a letter? I got
a letter from my brother that he wrote me. when he was in Vietnam. Call it sentimental. Call it
what you want. It means something to me. My big brother, last time
I ever heard from him. What if somebody, what if somebody
came along and took that and said, I'm going to change that. I'm going to change that. I'm
going to change that. Hey, just throw it all away. This is much higher than that.
We're talking about my elder brother, the Lord Jesus Christ,
everything he said and did. Who loves God? As a lot of people
say they do. Who loves God? It's those that
love God's glory, not what they can get out of Him. Religion
today is mercenary. Give me, give me, give me and
I'll give you. Do for me, do for me and I might serve you.
God's people worship God for who He is, His glory. What's His glory? What's His
essential glory? What is God's chief glory? His
sovereignty. Well, the whole world puts man
upon the throne of God and brings God down from His glory. God's
people won't have it. They won't have it. That's who loves God. Those who
love Him for who He is, not what they get out of Him. His Word, they love it because
God said it. This is what God said. And there's
not a word in it they don't like. Now let me just settle down here
a little bit. Is this what you feel? Is this
the indignation you feel against those that would do damage to
God's Word? That's what David said, didn't
he? We read it. Did you read it with me in Psalm
119? I love thy law. He said, I love your word. Oh,
how I love thy law better than gold, better than fine gold.
He said, I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right,
and therefore I hate everything that's not in keeping with it.
I don't care who said it, who did it, if it's not in keeping
with what God said. They're a liar. Let God be true
and every man a liar. Is that what you feel? Is that
how you feel about this? It's not a doctrinal issue, Samuel,
is it? It's not a doctrinal issue. It's
a glory issue. It's whose word is true. Who's
on the Lord's side? Huh? That's what this is all about.
That's what this is all about. Who really believes Christ and
Christ alone? Hmm? All this talk about righteousness
and blood and this and that and the other. Is it just doctrinal
hairs we're splitting? Huh? No, it's Christ's glory
in the John. It's His glory. If righteousness
come by the law, Christ died in vain. No, He didn't die in
vain. He died for His people. If He just came to show us how
to live, then we didn't really need Him anyway. He came to give
life. He said, I am come that they
might have life. Is this your hope? Is this your
confidence? Is this your gospel? Is this what you believe? I mean
firmly, I'm persuaded. Paul said, are you persuaded
then? Can I change your mind? No, God did change your mind
before you were rooted in your arm, in it. You were rooted in
the same religion that the world has. Rooted in it. But God, rich
in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved you, chose
you, plucked you as a bran from the burning, revealed His Son
in you, the truth to you. And you laid hold of the guy.
He laid hold of you. You were apprehended. And you
lay hold of him. And you're not going to let go
now. Nobody's going to turn you back into an Arminian. No, sir. I've never seen that. I mean,
anybody really. The grace of God has laid hold
of them. I've never seen that. There'll
be an Arminian. I don't believe that anymore.
No, sir. And people leave the gospel of not go back and be. Hereby we do know that we know
him. Where am I got notes here. Somewhere. I want to know that
I know him don't you. I don't want to end up, after
this is all over, appear before God and have him say, I never
knew you. I want to know that I know him.
I want to know I know the living and true God and his Christ.
This is eternal life. I want to know I love God. Down
in verse 5 it says, Whoso keepeth his word in him barely is the
love of God perfected. If I would know we there in him,
we're in him, who sort of keepeth his word. You see what that's
saying? If we keep his commandments,
we know him, we love him, we're in him. Commandments. The word
commandments means, I looked up the word, this is a good word
of commandments. God doesn't give advice. God
doesn't give advice. The God of the world does. God
wants you to do this. God invites you. God of the Bible
doesn't. He doesn't give advice. Nothing God says in here is just
good advice. There's no suggestions. God just doesn't make suggestions. Commandments. Command. This is the way it is. God said,
this is the way. There are no theories in scripture,
but dogma. Absolutely. No theory in scripture. We've got the theory of evolution,
the theory of creation. It ain't no theory. It's dogma. It's fact. Dogma means this is
the only way. There is no other way. Very narrow. The truth is very narrow. Oh,
it says that's how you see it. No, sir. Christ said that, didn't
it? Straight as a gate and narrow
is the way. And few there be that time. That's what Christ said. Not
John Calvin. Christ said. His word He said
in verse three, commandments, in verse five he says his word.
Same thing, all the words make up his word. All the words make up his word.
David, as I quoted to you, David said, I love your law. What law
is he talking about? It's the name of it. I love it all. God's people
don't hate God's law. We've seen this before, haven't
we? You don't want any other gods before Him, do you? That's
what we're saying. You don't want to take His name
in vain, do you? No. No. You want to worship God
in Christ and don't add any of your works to the Lord our Savior,
do you? Huh? No. You want to love God
as yourself, don't you? Yeah. You want to love your neighbor
as yourself? Yes. You don't want to steal? No. God's people love
His law. They love it, all of it. All
these laws make up his law, his law. Well, look over with me at Romans.
Let's just look at a couple places, what God says. Romans 8. A couple
of places in God's words. See what he says. And let's just
gauge our reaction to it. OK, everybody, I hope everybody's
awake. Literally, I hope we don't sleep the sleep of death. Romans
8, here's a clear and shining example of those who know God
and love God as God and love God's Word, all right? A shining
example. We're going to read God's Word,
not Paul's, God's Word. Romans 8, verse 28, we know that
all things work together. for good, to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He
also did predestinate. to be conformed to the image
of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He did predestinate,
them He also called. And whom He called, them He also
justified. Whom He justified, them also
He glorified. Who's getting the glory there?
Who did what there? Does it say anything about anybody
doing anything? Does it ask anybody to do anything? What does it say? From start
to finish. Who did it all? From the choosing,
to the revealing, to the bringing, to the calling, to the glorifying.
Who got the glory there? Hereby we do know. Verse thirty-one says what shall
we then say to these things? Now there was a time when you
weren't in Christ, or at least not yet, or you didn't know it.
And you heard these things, and what did you say to these things?
Unfair! Look at chapter nine. Go over
to chapter nine. That's not fair. Everybody deserves
a chance to be saved. That's a cop-out. People aren't
wanting other people to be saved. They just don't want to lay down
their old profession of faith. They don't want to admit they're
lost. That's the whole problem. No, that's not fair. Every man
deserves a chance to be saved. No, that's not what they want
other people to be saved. They just don't want to admit
that they're lost and that they're old. They didn't know God. They
didn't know Christ. That's the whole thing. The and that they'll say if that's
true and I'm. Not there and you heard preach
for you religiousism. Asking what is holy road. And he said he heard a preacher
preach from. Second Timothy one nine. who hath saved us and called
us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to
his own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ before
the world began." John heard that and read that and said,
I'm lost. I've been a preacher all these
years and don't even know God. Lying on God, lying to myself. I'm lost. God help me. He did. Safe. Really safe. Preached against what we just
read. Hated it without a cause. Christ said they hated me without
a cause. God's not unfair? Oh, he's merciful. Look at Romans
9. What do you think about these
things? What do you say about these things? God-lovers praise God.
God-lovers say amen. Romans 9, verse 9, says, This
is the word. This is the word. Whose word?
Whose word is this? Paul's, Calvin, God's word. This is the word we're talking
about. This is the word. God said this now in Genesis
18, at this time will I come and Sarah shall have a son. And
not only this, but in Genesis 25 he said to Rebekah, when Rebekah
had conceived of one by her father Isaac, for the children being
not yet born, neither having done any good or evil. that the
purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but
of him that calleth. God said unto her, The elder
shall serve the younger, as it is written, Jacob have I loved,
but Esau have I hated." Who said that? God said that. Malachi 3. Read on. What shall we say? Verse 14. Is there unrighteousness
with God? Is that unfair? What shall we
say? What do you say? All of God's people say what
Paul said. God forbid. God forbid. Read on. He said to Moses, I
will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. What the world fails
to see is their need of mercy. What the world fails to see is
that salvation is mercy. It's not merit, it's mercy. This
salvation, it's of the Lord's mercies that were not consumed.
That's what the scripture says. Nobody deserves a chance. Nobody deserves anything but
hell from the best preacher that ever lived to whoever. Prophet
Paul said, I am no good. He said that when he was an apostle.
But the Lord had mercy on them. If anybody ever gets a hold of
what they really are before a holy God, they'll cry for mercy. They
won't argue against sovereign mercy. They'll praise Him to
high heaven for it. But having mercy on them is like
splitting hairs. This is salvation. That's right. The whole problem
with everybody is they're not sinners before a holy God. They don't need mercy. They just
need help out of a few fixes they get themselves in. They
need some financial help and this and that and the other.
That's basically pretty good people. That's the whole problem. It's not hell-deserving. But
to every hell-deserving sinner, Romans 7 sinner, God has mercy on them. Yes, sir. I will have mercy, it's amazing,
it's mercy that he has mercy. On whom I will. I will, God says,
I will, on whom I will. Whose will is it? Not of him
that, well, verse 16, it is not of him that willeth, or of him
that runneth. I'm not free will except. You've
got to hater you. When I say that somebody says
that. You hate God you hate his glory that's his essential glory
and. You'd rather have your own glory
and you'd rather your will be exalted and glorified wouldn't
you man I'm not God's people not God's lover God lovers now
it's not of him that will have been arrived it's. God that show
it mercy. Verse 18, he hath mercy on whom
he will. Whom he will he hardeneth. And
some say they reply against God. Verse 19, they say, well, why
is he yet thine father? If God's sovereign and everything's
according to his will, then it doesn't matter what we do or
what. That's what they say. That's what they all say. And
Paul just answers, you're replying against God is what you're doing. But what shall we say. What do you say. What do you say everything you've
heard thus far. I see some smiles you must like
it. Go back to our text. So we say it's Hereby we do know
that we know him. I mean the living and true God
if we keep light hold of his word his commandment is Christ. He just says he knows him and
keeps not. Why why do you suppose there are so many perversions
of the scripture so many translations so many different versions of
scripture. Why do you suppose that is the
ease of reading that we need a modern Go in the bookstore
go in the bookstore sometime you'll see a Bible for teenagers
a Bible for homosexuals a Bible for singles a Bible for couples
a Bible for roller skaters a Bible for hang gliders. I'm not I'm
not. What do you suppose that is we
don't like the one we've got we're going to make one up the
way we want to take out what we don't like what we do. It's
a little too narrow over here. We don't like Isaiah at all.
We're going to leave all that out. Hey, we're going to just
make something, something we like that speaks more of this
than that in the other. Uh-huh. It's been going on from
the beginning. Oh, David said, I love you. I
hate every false word. I hate it. Don't you? Oh, God said in Revelation 1,
Hmm. He that hath my word, he that
readeth and that heareth the words of the prophecy, and keep
those things that are written therein, times and hand. God said that. He that readeth,
he that heareth the words of the prophecy, and keep those
things that are written. That means something precious.
Times that I am. Whoever adds to or takes away
I'm going to blot him out of existence. But whoever keepeth,
I got his name written forever. Ah, boy. The love of God is perfected,
it says. It's perfected. God's people,
they don't get softer in their old age, that is, in their belief
of who God is and what the truth is they get. Somebody said about Fortner fellow
who. Went to school with. Years ago. He and Jim Byrd and. Thank him also and this other
fellow who claimed to believe the doctor I went to school again.
And this fellow. He's a hard line. Sold out. But none of the and he said this
to me one time he said one thing I'll say about that he didn't
like it he didn't like our brother Because he doesn't like Don's
gospel. He said, one thing I will say about Don is he believes
the exact same thing that he did years ago when we went. He said about me, when I die, he kept on believing. He kept the faith. What he believed
in the beginning, he believed in the end. Nothing and no one could sway
him otherwise, persuade him otherwise. That's who loves God and it grows.
It perfects. That's what that means. It grows.
Your love for God's glory, your love, oh, it increases, not diminishes.
Your love for God, the sound of God's mercy. The older you
get, the more you sin, and the more you see of yourself. The more you love mercy, you
don't grow tired of this gospel. It gets sweeter. As the more
rotten you get, the sweeter the gospel gets. That's on a person
that's sweet too. And he says, that's how we may
know we're in him. Am I in Christ? Is the love of the truth in you?
Then you're in him. And if you're in him, you're
not going anywhere. If you're in him, it's who's
keeping you. If everything's in your hands,
you're going to lose it. But if you're in his hands, he
said, no man is able. What does that mean? It means
you. Even you can't jump out. Isn't
that good news? People don't like that. I don't
like it. I do. A sheep that's prone to
wander, Lord, I feel it. Prone to leave a God, I love
it. Bless God, God loves me. Bless God, He said, I'll never
leave you. Bless God, He said, I'll never
forsake you. Bless God, we're kept by His
power. Huh? That's who's in Him. Those who want to be in Him. And it goes on and I close with
this in verse six he says also. He that saith he abideth in him. Ought. Himself also. You see the change
here Tammy see how you ought also to walk. As he you ought
to obey his command. We saw that in again little children. I write on these things. All right. Don't say don't do
that. Quit that. Stop that. You know,
since I preached that to you. I've seen. Countless times I've
preached it. I don't want to preach it. Don't do that. That's right.
Don't do that. You're saying that. But wait.
And if any man's saying we've got an advocate. And we ought to walk. We ought
to obey his command. I'll do what he says. A child
ought to do what their parents say. And they do try. They want
to. They want to be conformed to
his image. How are they going to be? How are they going to
be conformed to his image? They're not going to do it. God's
predestined it. You know, when I was young, I
wanted to grow up and be like my dad. I sure went about it
a funny way. Huh? I'm going to go in the hog
pen. I'm going to be like my dad,
so I'll dive in the hog pen, the cesspool, and I'll go out
in the world, and I'll get to... I'm sure going about it the wrong
way, aren't I? I'll tell you who did. I woke up one day, I
was about 45, I guess, and looked, and I said, I'm him. I've become
him. You ever done that? Anybody? Amy, have you ever woke up and
said, I'm my mother? Whether you wanted to be or not.
Now I'm not talking about all my good ads good traits per se. No no. There's nothing you can do about
it. You're predestined to be like
your daddy or your mom. Oh bless God. Huh? Bless God he hath predestined. Who doesn't like that word? Those are God's children. I want
to be like that's not his predestined. He's predestined and nothing
you know that you're going to be just like that. I want to keep going and I keep
going we don't have Sunday night service. All right. We do have service Wednesday
night. We do have service Wednesday night. And we might either look
at Exodus twenty three on that angel of the Lord. Which is next. Or the rest of first John two. All right. Fifty one let's stand. Praise the Savior you who know
him. Fifty one. We'll sing the first fourth and
fifth verse. Praise the Savior, you who know
Him Who can tell how much we owe Him Gladly let us render
to Him all we are and have Keep us, Lord, O keep us believing
to Thyself and still believing till the hour of our receiving
from His joys with Thee. Then we shall be where we would
be, then we shall be what we should be. Things that are not,
now nor could be, soon shall be our own. you.
