Welcome once again to our study
of the book of Numbers. Would you turn with me to the
book of Numbers chapter 20? What a blessing it is to be with
you. Pray for us as we're gone. We
look forward already to being back. Numbers chapter 20, in verse
1, last week we looked at the passing of our sister Miriam. Not much is said here about her
except it tells us that Miriam died there and was buried there.
And we find in the scriptures that blessed are in the eyes
of the Lord are the passing or the death of the saints, that
that is the end of this world, it's the end of our life, and
those who are known by Christ shall be welcomed into his presence
and for eternal bliss and joy. We will continue to learn of
the greatness of grace. will continue to learn of the
greatness of the mystery of grace as we are in His presence. Now,
beginning with verse 2, there are some verses here that are
reminiscent of many other places here in the book of Numbers,
but also throughout the scriptures that those who are been led by
and have been cared for and taken care of by the Lord in such a
gracious manner, we find once again we see what it means to
have enmity against God, to be angry with God all the time.
It's an inability to make peace with God on our own, and it is
only because of the grace of God that we have any peace with
God. And so it tells us here, and there was no water for the
congregation. And they gathered themselves
together against Moses and against Aaron. And the people chode with
Moses. I like that old English word,
chode. They chided with him, they found
fault with him. The people made sedition against
Moses, or quarreled, or argued, or contended, or strived with
Moses and with Aaron over this situation. The people chode with
Moses and spake saying, would God that we had died when our
brethren died before the Lord. What are they saying? Would God
have let us died with the rest of those folks that died here
in the wilderness? And why have you brought up the
congregation of the Lord into this wilderness that we and our
cattle should die there? And wherefore have you made us
to come up out of Egypt to bring us into this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of
figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates, neither is there any water to
drink. And Moses and Aaron went before
the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces, and the
glory of the Lord appeared unto them. And the Lord spake unto
Moses, saying, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly
together, thou and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the
rock before their eyes, and it shall give forth his water, and
thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock, so shalt
thou give the congregation and their beast drink. We're gonna
stop there for our study today. We go on and find out that Moses
representing the law could only do one thing. The law never speaks
peaceably. The law doesn't speak, it strikes,
in fact. And so that's, as Moses, as a
representative of the law, did that, he struck it, and we find
that the Lord says, you're not going into the land as a result
of that. Moses and Aaron, both. Well, let us look at this passage
of scripture as we have before us this morning, these few verses
of scripture. As in other places in the Bible, God allows us to
know the hearts of people because God does know the hearts of people
and we can only, we only go by appearance. We can only look
on the outward appearance. We have no ability of going any
deeper than that. I've had a discussion recently
with a young man and I decided next time I see him, I'll say,
have you ever had a toothache? And he'll probably say, yes,
I have. And I says, did you heal it yourself? If we have free
will, we should be able to do that, shouldn't we? Well, no,
I have to go to a dentist. Yeah, you have to go to someone
else who's a professional in this business. Well, that's just
what we're gonna find here in the scriptures. Turn with me,
if you would, to the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 16. In 1 Samuel,
chapter 16, we find these words that the Lord gave to the prophet.
The words could have just as easily been given to Moses. They
could have just as easily be given into the New Testament.
And we'll find this phraseology often found in the scriptures
about what God knows about the situation. And we know what these
people were like as the Bible reveals it to us. We don't know
the hearts of people. But we can see, as we heard this
morning in the Bible class about Judas, we can see about Judas
because the word of God reveals to us what the Bible says, what
God said about this man, about Judas, that he would betray him,
that he was chosen from the beginning to betray him. And we'll look
at some of that in just a little bit. But here in the book of
1 Samuel 16, and there in verse 7, we find that Samuel was called
upon by the Lord to go and anoint a king. Samuel was really put out about
this, that they would want a king because he is their prophet.
And the Lord says, they have not rejected you from ruling
over them, they've rejected me from ruling over them. And here
in the book of 1 Samuel chapter 16 and verse seven, the scripture
says, but the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance
or on the height of his stature, because I've refused him. For
the Lord seeth not as man seeth. Aren't you thankful? The Lord doesn't see things as
we see them. He sees them from a heavenly
perspective, from a godly perspective, from a all-knowing perspective. And he is the only one that can
tell us what we are really like and what we are really in need
of. If it wasn't for this great God that had the ability of knowing
us. In fact, he goes on to say, for
a man looketh on the outward appearance and that is all we
can do. That person appears to be, that person appears to be,
but the Lord goes on to say, but the Lord or Jehovah looketh
on the heart. So he is a professional on that
part. Not only is he a professional
on the flesh, but he's also a professional on that part, the spiritual part. The Lord had rejected this one.
Well, we find out as time goes on through this process with
Samuel here in selecting the king, he went through all of
the sons of this one man and said, is there not one other
one? Is there another son? He said, yeah, he's out watching
the sheep. We'll bring him in here. Well, this one that was
Not the largest, not the most powerful, not the nicest, not
all of that thing. That's the one the Lord had chosen.
But we find here that the Lord shares with us We look on the
outward appearance. Now I can see Moses, and I can
see Aaron, and I can see Caleb, and I can see Joshua too, as
they were with these people and they were related to every one
of them, that oftentimes they were called on to look at the
things the best they possibly could. They were called on not
to find fault with them because we're all born of sin, but to
look on them the best they could. But there are times when difficulties
arose and they did not try to correct it themselves, they took
it to the Lord to do. Well, turn with me over into
the Psalms if you would. Psalm 147. As we think about
the situation that is just before us, and this is not the only
time that these children of Israel revealed through scripture to
us what they were in Psalm 147. In Psalm 147, and there in verse
10 and 11, Psalm 147. And verse 10 and 11, the word
of God says, He delighteth not in the strength
of the horse. He taketh not pleasure in the
legs of a man. The Lord taketh pleasure in them
that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Now there's where the Lord finds
pleasure. He said, those who seek after
me after I've given them an inclination to do so, the Lord taketh pleasure
in them that fear him, reverence him, respect him, honor him,
and those that hope in his mercy. Well, as we follow these children
of Israel, as they are children of Abraham in the flesh, Now
we heard read there in Romans chapter 8 this morning about
the flesh profiteth nothing. It isn't that area of us that
is going to make any inroads with God Almighty. It is not
those areas that God looks upon. God does not look on the outward
appearance, God looks on the heart. God knew the people that
he was dealing with. He knew the people that Moses
and Aaron were dealing with. He knew all about them. He knew
them from the very beginning. He knew them before the foundation
of the world. This was not a surprise to God
what was going on there, that there was no water. Who controls
the water to begin with? Why are they in a position where
there is no water? So that some of the people could
say, Lord, have mercy upon us, and other people could just out
and out complain about it. Well, let's go on as we look
at this in the book of Isaiah chapter 55. As we look at this
passage of scripture as it reflects upon This situation that is there
in the book of Numbers chapter 20 this morning. In the book
of Isaiah 55, we find him explaining so much about what was going
on there and whose benefit it is. God is not caught short in
this. He never is caught short in this.
He has always purposed what has taken place. These people are
doing exactly what God has called on them to do so that we can
see it in the scriptures, that we can find out it isn't the
name Abraham that is important. It isn't even that he fed them
that was important, but it is that God showeth mercy. That's what's important. Here
in the book of Isaiah 55 and verse 8, the scripture share
with us this and how powerful these words are for us. For my
thoughts are not your thoughts. We like lofty thoughts. I like
being able to think lofty thoughts, but my thoughts are not his thoughts.
You know, most of the time, well, I should say all the time, when
we get it figured out, it's not right. That's just the way it
is. We cannot figure out God, and
that is good for us, that we do not have a God that we can
figure out. In fact, it goes on, to whom
will you compare me? I used to try to describe the
Trinity by some ideas that were passed on to me by other people.
And then I heard a preacher say, you know, there's nothing that
we can compare the Trinity to. We can't compare it to water. We cannot compare it to an egg.
We cannot compare it to all the other things that most people
use to compare the Trinity to. God is God, and he, beside him,
there is none else. Who will you compare me with?
Well, we're going to find out that these people in Israel compared
him with another man, just another, maybe a little superman, but
not God. Well, Isaiah chapter 55 and verse
80 says, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are
your ways my way, saith the Lord. And only the church says, Amen.
Thank you, Lord. I know what my thoughts were
doing and what my ways were doing, and they were leading me in the
wrong direction. I was coming to the wrong conclusions.
I couldn't see right. I couldn't hear right. I couldn't
walk right. I couldn't serve right. My ways
are not your ways, and thank God for it. For as the heavens
are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your
ways. And you know, every time we get pictures from those great
photographs out of space. It just makes it bigger and bigger,
and we find out how much greater it is. My ways are not your ways,
for as the heavens are higher than the earth, are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. So we find
that God is describing to us himself about this, and the church
is thankful that we have a God that is so great, so masterful,
so outstanding, And this God is moving among
these people to demonstrate unto us the absolute necessity of
God's free and sovereign grace. That there is nothing else that
will do it. There is nothing else that will
provide it. We cannot come to God in any other way. Turn with
me, if you would, here into the book of Luke, chapter 16, as
we look at the situation there in the book of Numbers. And a
great host of people are upset with Moses and with Aaron. And
they chode with them. They found fault with them. They
argued with them because there was no water. What are we to
do when there's no water? Lord, open up the fountains from
heaven. Lord, show me in the scriptures. Lord, give me something
from your word. Let the meditations in my heart
be acceptable unto thee, O Lord. Let me think about you. In the book of Luke chapter 16, we have this said, Luke chapter
16 and verse 15. as we think about that whole
host. Now, almost all of those that
God said would die in the wilderness after they came to Kadesh Barnea,
they sent in the spies, 10 came back with a evil report, and
God said, for 38 years, you're gonna wander around until this
whole generation dies off. Now, most of those people have
met that end. Most of those people have come
to that conclusion. And it's no wonder that in the
previous chapter, we have that passage of scripture about cleanliness
with dead people around because they're going to be exposed to
a lot of it during that period of time. Well, we're coming to
the end. We're about to approach going
into the land and we have the same problem going on. Reformation
has never made things better. You know, all the times that
I find in the scripture that there would have been a possibility
of getting rid of all the bad people and starting over was
Noah and the flood. Eight people came through that
flood and they're related. Mom, dad, sons, wives, they're
all related. We're gonna get along. You know
what? They brought the sin nature with
them right through that. Even though the Ark is a picture
of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and taking care of us
through every peril, He's still dealing with sinners, and will
be dealing with sinners all our life. The wonderful thing about
this is, at the cross, he was given grace to forgive us our
sins. They're put away. They will not
be charged to us. We're still sinners, and it still
breaks our heart to be that, but we will carry that the rest
of our life, but to know that we have peace that we are brought
to a place before Almighty God, that we're accepted in the beloved,
that we are going to meet him on good terms. We will be welcomed
into his presence. Welcome to the kingdom prepared
for you from the foundation of the world that gives us grace
to walk the next day. And here we find the Lord Jesus
Christ saying, welcome. to the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world. All right, Luke chapter 16 and
verse 15, he said unto them, ye are they which justify yourselves
before men, but God knoweth your hearts. Even though all of these
people in the book of Numbers chapter 20 could take direct
lineage from Abraham, Not many generations back, Abraham was
their father. And we're going to find the Lord
during his personal ministry, many years later, we're going
to have people bring it up. Abraham's our father. Rest of
this verse, but God knoweth your hearts, for that which is highly
esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. We say I'm
related to Abraham. You know, if that's our stand,
that's our position, and that's our religious hope, it is an
abomination to God. Why? Because it puts no value
on the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It
puts no value on the mercy of God. It puts no value on the
forgiveness of sin. It puts no value on God's word.
If we're going to cling to something like that, it puts no value on
all the rest of the Bible about our God. In the book of Hebrews
chapter 4 and verse 13, we find that God there, even at that
time, in the book of Numbers chapter 20, just as well as it
is today, that he tells us here, neither is there any creature
that is not manifest before him. Turn with me there, if you would,
to the book of Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 13. Hebrews chapter
4 and verse 13, we read these words. Neither is there any creature
that is not made known, manifest in his sight. Everybody stands
before God in this position, but all things are naked and
open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. He can look
right through us. He can look right at our motives,
look at our heart, look at all about us, and can reflect to
us You're mine. You're trusting me. Or you're
not mine. You're not trusting me. He's
not stupid. I don't know how many times when
I was teaching school, kids would come up to me and say, how'd
you know about that? How'd I know about what? Well, you seem to
know what we were doing back there. Well, of course I did.
I'm not my first rodeo. I was a kid once. I know what
it is to try to deceive people, deceive teachers. As we grow
up, we can see through those things more often, but when it
comes to God and our relationship, He knows us. There is nothing hidden from
Him. He knows our motives, He knows
our heart, He knows our mind, He knows our thoughts, and that's
good because He has knowledge of what we have needed before
we ask. He knows our prayers. He knows our uprising, our down
sitting. He knows where we are at all
times. He knows what we're going through. This is Almighty God
and what He has done. Over in the book of 1 Kings,
there's a wonderful prayer or dedication, I should say, that
Solomon made at the dedication of that temple in his day. For
hundreds of years, the children of Israel had been coming to
the tabernacle just like they did to the wilderness. And here,
finally, after the death of David, Solomon was permitted to authorize
to go ahead with and to build the temple. Now, I'm not sure
that Solomon ever went out there and raised one hammer, lifted
one piece of wood, nailed up one piece of cedar, but he is
the one that we say was Solomon's temple. Really, it's God's temple.
And turn with me, if you would, here to the book of 1 Kings,
the dedication of this great place. Now, during the times
of the Lord Jesus, That's not this temple that we're hearing
dedication of. It was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. Another temple was brought up
and it was made better under Herod. And then we hear the disciples
and people, isn't this a wonderful place? And look at this beautiful
place. And Jesus said, not one stone
will be left upon another. When the cross, when Christ dies
on the cross, every need of all of that stuff is over. There
was absolutely no more need for any sacrifices, any Earthly high
priests, any priests at all, any of that stuff, it was over. There was no need for the Pharisees.
There's no need for the Sadducees. There's no need for all of that
stuff. It's over. It is finished. Here in the book
of 1 Kings at the dedication of the first one, we find that
King Solomon has this to say in verse 39 of the book of 1
Kings chapter 8. 1 Kings chapter 8 verse 39. Then hear thou in heaven thy
dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man
according to his ways whose heart thou knowest. For thou, even
thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men. that they may fear thee all the
days that they live in the land which thou gave us unto our fathers. Now, this is just a small part
of that dedication. And I would, as brother Mike
mentioned this morning in the book of John, read those chapters,
read this dedication in this eighth chapter of the book of
first Kings. The Lord only knows the hearts of these people, Israel. And he only, he's the only one
that knows the hearts of these people, Israel. And it appears
that the death of thousands upon thousands of these in unbelief
did not change the survivors. And we find out that's just exactly
true. All of the deaths that had already
taken place did not change one heart of all of the survivors. What is it that makes our heart
different? What is it? A new heart? That's
the only thing that makes a difference. If ever there was a time We would
think when God permitted these people to leave Egypt and go
out in the wilderness, things would be different. But it wasn't. Why? Because we have natural
man doing exactly what we read about over there in the book
of Romans chapter 8. Natural man has a problem, and
that problem is sin. This morning, for just the few
minutes that I have left, I would like to compare these people
with that disciple of the Lord Jesus that he chose and said,
he is the devil from the beginning. Now he was chosen on purpose,
just as Israel was chosen on purpose. Now, let us remember
though, let's turn to Romans chapter two. Let us keep this
in mind. Romans chapter 2, as we follow
the children of Israel through the book of Numbers, Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, as we follow the children of
Israel, every one of them are related to Abraham. They all
can trace their line quite readily back to Abraham. It was very
important that they could trace their line back to Abraham. These
are the children of Israel. These are the people of God.
Well, they're children of Israel. and they're people of God, nominally. He's going to deal with them
like he has dealt with no other country or other people since
time began. Nobody, as a group of people,
was ever blessed like they were blessed. He led them out of bondage. He gave them a crossing at the
Red Sea where nobody even got wet. He took care of their enemies
right behind them. All that water covered them up.
He took them over to the mount and gave them the law and the
specifications for the tabernacle and said, this is what we're
going to do in remembrance of me. This is what we're going
to do to show what it takes for anybody to be acceptable in my
sight. There must be a substitute die
in your place. And he gave us those types and
shadows and pictures. knowing full well that not all
of them understood a word that he was saying. Read with me here
in the book of Romans. Romans 2, verse 28. Romans 2,
verse 28. When we say out loud to ourselves
in our state of intelligence, all of Israel was saved. Then
we run into verses of scripture and say, I'm going to have to
back up on that. because the Scriptures never
say that. In fact, the Scriptures are quite opposite of that. The
Scripture share was this, that there was some elect among Israel,
just like there was some elect among the Gentiles. We find the Scriptures teach
us so clearly and so plainly that the Lord brought out some
people from the Gentiles and revealed to them our Savior,
the Lord Jesus. Well here in the book of Romans
chapter 2 verse 28 says, for he is not a Jew which is one
outwardly. That means I can trace my line
back to Abraham. When you drive by the Wells Fargo
Bank downtown, please notice that first name. I took some kids on a walking
field trip, and we stopped by there downtown, and I says, take
a look at that name. And when you walk by here, you
just say, thank you, Mr. Wells. I can trace my line back to that
guy. He lost it. I went into the bank down here
to get a coffee cup, and they wouldn't give it to me unless
I opened an account. And my name is the same as the
name there. That and 25 cents would get me a cup of coffee.
Well, anyway, notice here with me. If you're tracing your line, I have family, my grandmother, she was a saint. If there's anybody,
can you imagine people who know grace would say this? They don't,
I'm telling you. If there's anybody in heaven,
it's grandma. My grandmother, she didn't know
the gospel, but she was a good lady. All right, look at here.
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly, neither is that
circumcision, which is outward in the flesh, but he is a Jew,
which is one inwardly, and circumcision that is of the heart. How does
that happen? That's what Jesus brought out
in the book of John chapter 3. This is the new birth. It was
talked about in the Old Testament with these words, circumcision
of the heart, or circumcision is that of the heart. Only God
can take care of that. Only God can produce that. Only
God can bring that. In the spirit and not in the
letter, whose praise is not of men, but of God. All right? Keeping that same thought, turn
with me over to the book of Romans. Chapter 9, in Romans chapter
9, and this is who we're dealing with there in the book of Numbers
chapter 20. In Romans chapter 9, verse 6, let's look at this
passage of scripture, it says, not as though the word of God
hath taken none effect. That's one thing we can count
on, the word of God will take effect. My word that goes forth
out of my mouth will not return unto me void, but will accomplish
that whereunto I have said it. That's a promise and that's a
promise we can take to the bank and we can find out that our
only responsibility for spiritual things is scattering the seed. We have no other ability of doing
anything better than that is scattering the seed, preaching
the gospel, teaching the gospel, sharing the gospel. From then
on, it is absolutely out of our hands. We're no more possible
to do anything with spiritual than we can do healing our own
tooth that has a toothache. We can't do it. It's out of our
league. All right. Notice in Romans chapter
9 and verse 6. not as though the word of God
hath taken none effect, for they are not all Israel, which are
of Israel." We have that situation over in Numbers chapter 20. We
have a whole bunch of people rebelling against the leadership
of Almighty God and saying, where's the water? Instead of going to
their prayer tent and saying, Lord, we need your help here. We're out of water. They went
to Moses and Aaron and chowed, argued, found fault with, and
God's going to provide water for them. out of a rock, what
a miracle that is, but not all Israel which are of Israel, neither
because they are the seed of Abraham are they all children,
but in Isaac shall thy seed be called." So we have this wonderful
statement made throughout the scriptures that God is going
to have His people, saved by His grace at the appointed time,
and gathered together with Him. And we have the witness that
there are a whole bunch of folks here, even named Israel, that
don't know the first thing about grace. When we come to this one, turn
with me to the book of Acts chapter one, if you would. Acts chapter one. We have a comparison made here.
In Acts chapter 1, as a couple of weeks ago, Brother
Mike mentioned about this man Judas, and he mentioned a quote
by Robert Hawker, and it took me a while to find that quote,
but Robert Hawker had this to say about this man, Judas, before
we read that passage of Scripture. The whole 12 were indeed chosen
to be apostles. Yes, chosen to an outward office,
but not all were chosen to inward grace. They were chosen as an
office. By the way, Brother Mike brought
up that subject over in the book of First Timothy about the office
of a deacon. Take that to your concordance
and you'll find out the word office is not even there. That
has been created by religious to have powerful people in churches.
What happens here in this church? Every saved man is a deacon and
every saved woman is a deaconess. Servants, we're all servants
of the Most High God and thank God. All right, here we find
that in Acts chapter 17 and verse one, talking Peter. Now, there's
some things that the people of God, that other disciples did
not know about Judas while they were with him. You know, somebody,
what if it was Peter? Somebody went out with Judas
when they were sent out two by two. Maybe it was Peter. And nobody
came back with a report that this guy is strange. It's much
like all those Jews wandering through the wilderness. And nobody
came back and said, gotta watch this guy, because they're all
in the same group. All right. Here in the book of
Acts chapter 1, Peter stands up in verse 16 and says, men
and brethren, this Scripture." Now, that's what's interesting,
is that the Lord revealed to Peter there was an Old Testament
Scripture. Now, at that time, it was not
Old Testament Scripture because they didn't have the New Testament.
This is all they had. And Peter was revealed a passage
of Scripture in the Old Testament by the Holy Spirit. He goes on
to tell us here, "'Men and brethren, this Scripture must needs have
been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost By the mouth of David spake. Now what does that tell us? What
David said was what the Holy Spirit gave to him. No other
additions. Concerning Judas. which was guide
to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us and
obtained part of this ministry. Now he was an apostle from outward
appearance, but he had no possession of grace. It was not revealed
to him. In fact, when the Lord Jesus
chose him, he said he is a devil from the beginning. He knew all
about him. Do you think that God was surprised
by these people coming and chiding against Moses and Aaron about
the lack of water? Absolutely not. He purposed it
to take place so that we could see who is actually in charge
of the situation and that he alone can provide water for us.
Water from a rock, water from Christ if you please. Now this
man purchased a field with reward of iniquity and falling headlong
for the reward of iniquity. Peter understood that this man
sinned against the holy God. He had no heart to love God. I was told recently that Judas
probably is in heaven, and I said, you've got to be kidding. That
is so contrary to so many verses of scripture. Most people don't
pay any attention to what the Bible has to say about anything.
They just come up to some conclusion that they like, and that's the
way we are by nature. Let's look to the word. All right,
now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity.
Falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels
gushed out. And now we need someone else to take his place. Well,
the Holy Spirit led them in that search, and there was another
man taken, and I've been told that his name is never mentioned
again. Well, if you follow it out, you'll find out most of
the disciples are never mentioned again, but you do find the 12. the 12. I'd rather be called
the 12 and not having my name mentioned again. He was numbered
with the 12. One other verse of scripture
and then we'll close and we'll have to pick this up next time.
In the book of the Psalms, one more time, in the book of the
Psalms, God wrote a lot about Israel
throughout the Old Testament as well as the New Testament.
And he wrote about this man, Judas, as a type and a shadow
and a picture of all those people that chode against Moses and
Aaron in the wilderness. Here in the book of the Psalms,
Psalm 41. Psalm 41. And verse nine. Now the Lord is going to mention
this during his personal ministry to this one man that was chosen,
Judas Iscariot. He says here, Yea, my own familiar
friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted
up his heel against me. All right, we're going to stop
there, but I want to say this in conclusion. The only difference
between this man and me, is grace. Except for the grace of God,
there go I. There's nothing that we do, there's
nothing that we perform, there's nothing, nowhere we go, there's
nobody we trace our line back to that makes any difference
whatsoever. The only difference between Judas
and Norm Wells is grace. the grace of Almighty God. He's
the only one that can make the difference. Judas was chosen
for his position. Thank God, others are chosen
for a different position. We'll follow those children of
Israel out and we'll notice through the life of Judas, you know,
he was fed. We heard him, the Lord Jesus
fed him. And you know what we find out
with regard to those people in the Old Testament? Numbers chapter
21, we're almost there. We loatheth this light bread. We're sick of manna. That's like
someone saying, I'm sick of Christ. I want something different. I
want something else. I want something more. All right.
