Good morning. Let's all stand together. We'll sing hymn number 449.

449. To God be the glory. Great things he hath done. So loved He the world that He gave us His Son Who yielded His life and atonement for sin And opened the life gate that all may go in Praise the Lord Praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son. and give him the glory, great things he hath done. O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, to every believer the promise of God the vilest offender who truly believes that moment from Jesus a pardon receives. Praise the Lord Praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, and give Him the glory. great things he hath done. Great things he hath taught us, great things he hath done, and great are rejoicing through Jesus the Son. but purer and higher and greater will be our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord! ? Praise the Lord, let the people rejoice ? ? O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son ? ? And give him the glory, great things he hath done ?

Be seated, we'll sing hymn number 75. Number 75. Abide with me, fast falls the eventide. The darkness deepens, Lord, with me abide, When other helpers fail and comforts flee. Help of the helpless, so abide with me. Swift to its closest, help this little day. Earth's joys grow deep. Glories pass away. Change and decay in all around I see. O Thou who changest not, abide with me. I need Thy presence every passing hour. What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power. Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, you abide with me. Hold thou thy word before my closing eyes. Shine through the gloom and Point me to the skies Heaven's morning breaks And earth's faint shadows flee In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me

I'll get another song, too. Luke chapter 2. Luke chapter 2. Just got four verses of scripture to read this morning. Chapter 2, verses 21 through 24. We're dealing with the subject this morning.

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcision of the child, his name called Jesus, which was so named to the angel before he was conceived in the womb. And when the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. As it is written in the law of the Lord, every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.

Lord, what a blessing to be able to come into your presence, access by faith access by faith into this grace wherein we stand. Lord, your word, though read so many, there's so much contained in your scriptures, in your word. And Lord, we're never able to get out of all of it that it says. So Lord, that's why we need you. We need your presence. We need you to cause the gospel to run well here today if it would please you.

Oh Lord, but more than anything, if it bring glory to you, if it would give all the glory to you, if it'll honor you and your blessed son, that's all that we are interested in doing today and be a blessing to your people, to establish them in the faith, to edify them and build them up in their most holy faith. And Lord Jesus, Pray again for our children, our grandchildren. Lord, please create an interest in their hearts, create an interest in their souls. And Lord Jesus, continue to open hearts here. Cause that seed to be sown. That'll bring forth fruit someday. Put it on good ground, on good ground. And you make the ground good, because only you can. And I again, Lord, we pray for those who we can embody, those who are going through trials, going through troubles, going through things that keeps them from coming to worship in the Lord.

God bless those that are watching. Forgive us of everything that's unlike you. We ask these things in our blessed Savior's name. Amen.

Hymn number 361. 361. Sweet hour of prayer. Sweet hour of prayer. that calls me from a world of care and bids me at my father's throne. Make all my wants and wishes known. It's season's eve. distress and grief my soul has often found relief and oft escaped the tinder snare by thy return. Sweet hour of prayer. Sweet hour of prayer. sweet hour of prayer, thy wings shall my petition bear. Tip in blue straight, and faithfulness Engage the waiting soul to bliss. And since he bids me see his face, believe his word. and trust His praise. I'll cast on Him my every care and wait for Thee, sweet hour of prayer.

Sweet air of prayer Sweet air of prayer, may I thy consolation share. Till from Mount Pisgah's lofty height, I view my home and take my flight. This robe of flesh I'll drop and rise to seize the end.

Let's stand together and sing the hymn of the day in the bulletin. "'Tis not that I did choose thee, O Lord, that could not be. This heart would still refuse thee. but Thou hast chosen me. Thou from the sin that stained me washed me and set me free. And to this end ordain me that I should live for Thee. The Sovereign Mercy called me And taught my opening mind The world had else enthralled me To heavenly glories blind My heart owns none above Thee For thy rich grace I thirst, this knowing if I love thee, thou must have loved me first.

Be seated. Well, look with me back here in verse 21 of Luke chapter 2. But to go back to what we dealt with last year, last week, you know, the Lord appeared to some shepherds, just shepherds, told them who was being born and where he was being born. And he gave them the message. He gave them the message. They went down and they found the Lord Jesus Christ, just like they said they would, how the Lord told them they would. And I tell you what, if the Lord made known to them where he was to be born, how he was to find him, and they went and told them all those things, everybody they went where and told them. And that's what every preacher tries to do that knows the grace of God and knows the gospel, is try to tell them where Christ is, who he is, and what he did, and who he did it for, and where he is now. And that's what we try to do. And just tell you what we've seen and heard. And the only way in the world that you'll ever know Christ and see Christ is for the Lord to make you to know it. The Lord has to be the one to do it. I can't do it, but he can. But that's why we preach the gospel, because that's the only thing that God uses to bring men to Christ.

But I want you to notice the several things that's mentioned in these verses. Down in verse 2, it says, according to the law of Moses. Verse 23, it says, in the law of the Lord. And verse 24 says, in the middle of the verse, in the law of the Lord. And when they talk about the law of the Lord, they're talking about Moses, the law of Moses. Everything here has to do with the law of Moses, the law of the Lord. And that was to the Jew, everything that was to the Jew, everything to keep it. At least as far as they were concerned in the letter, in the letter, and there's lots of folks that could, you know, as far as they're concerned, They are interested in keeping it according to the letter.

Keep Luke 2, and look over with me in John chapter 9. John chapter 9. Show you something how these Jews felt about the law. And look down in verse 27, 28, and 29. You know, they come to our Lord and rebuked Him so many times, said, You can't do that on the Sabbath day. You can't do this on the Sabbath day. You can't heal on the Sabbath day. You can't eat on the Sabbath day. Your disciples are breaking the Sabbath day. And they were so interested in the law that everything had to be judged according to the law.

But look what he said here. This is where our Lord opened the blind man's eyes who had been blind from birth. And he asked them, In verse 27, he answered him, talking to the Pharisees, he answered them, I've told you already, and you did not hear. Wherefore would you hear it again? We also be his disciples, be Christ's disciples. Then they reviled him and said, they aren't his disciple, but we're Moses' disciples. We know that God spoke unto Moses. We know that God spoke to Moses. As for this fella, that's all they thought about Christ, this fella. We know not where he even comes from. We don't know nothing about him. Don't know where he come from. We know we're Moses. God spoke to Moses. So they're more in it. We're Moses' disciples. Moses' disciples.

But also, back over in our text, as also every Jew was made under its curse. Every Jew, everybody that lives under the law are under its curse. The law was do and live. Secure blessings. And if you don't do it, then you'll die. You're cursed because of sin. And you know, that's why they come and offer sin. I'm going to show you this. I just thought of this. Look over in Deuteronomy 27. I'm going to show you about the law, something that the law says about the law. And this is Deuteronomy 27.

Verse 25, let me look down here. 27. Yeah, verse 28, chapter 28. I've got it right here in a minute. Look what it says here. And this shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and do all his commandment, which will I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee, if thou hearken unto the voice of the Lord. You'll be blessed going out in the city, blessed going out in the field, blessed the fruit of your womb of your body.

But now look down, verse 15, and thou shalt, he said, now look down, verse, and the Lord shall, no, verse 14, verse 15, excuse me, but it shall come to pass, If thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe, to do all his commandments, his statute, which I command thee this day, and all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you. You'll be cursed in your city, cursed in your field. Do, and God will really bless you. Don't, and you die, you're under a curse. And that's just, it's one or the other. And that's why it says, you know, cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things of the book of the law to do them. And oh, my. Well, I'm going to talk about fulfilling the law today. Fulfilling the law. There's one person on this earth who fulfilled the law. And everyone in him does the same thing. They fulfill the law.

But look what he said here in verse 21 of Luke chapter 2. And when eight days were accomplished, and everything is going to be accomplished, for the circumcision of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was named to the angel before he was conceived in the womb. Even as an infant, as a child, eight days old, as an infant, our Lord rendered obedience to the law. You know, he is circumcised the eighth day. And that's what every Jew child had to be done. And I tell you, this is the earliest fact in our Lord's history. The earliest fact is commissioned about our Lord in His history. Even His name before He's born, He was named before He was born. But this is the earliest fact of His history, that He was circumcised the eighth day.

And then also, He was also presented to the Lord at 40 days old. But I'll tell you, why was our Lord circumcised? Why was he circumcised? Well, it was a seal of the covenant between God made with Abraham. Abraham was an old man, the Lord entered into a covenant with him. And that covenant was that to set his Israel apart from anybody else, and set the Jews apart from anybody else, they were to be circumcised. And that was a type of their being cleansed from the filthiness of their flesh. They was considered, that was make them a seal of the covenant. You know, it's just a seal of it. The covenant was a covenant of grace. But God says, circumcise yourself and all the male members from here on out. You do that, that's a seal of the covenant. And so that's why our Lord was circumcised.

And secondly, he was circumcised because he is a Jew. That's what they did to every Jew. That's what they do to every Jew. And even now, let me, the rabbis, different rabbis, they don't, you know what they call it now when they circumcise a child? They call it a BRI, B-R-I-S. And they still do it, but the rabbis do it now. Back in those days, the rabbis did it then, the priests did it then, and they're still doing that today. You know, a priest has to be one to do that, a rabbi has to be the one to do that. because he was a Jew. And he was made of a Jewish woman, and he was made under the law to redeem us out from under the curse of the law.

Our Lord was made of a woman. He was made under that law. And every day that he lived on this earth, our Lord Jesus Christ started as an eight-day-old infant. He obeyed the Lord and all of his law and fulfilled it. And the third reason he was circumcised, he would not have fulfilled the law's requirements. He would not have fulfilled the law's requirements. And the law required that every child eight days old be circumcised. They took John the Baptist to be circumcised eight days old. And he would not have fulfilled the law's requirements. And if he failed fulfilling any requirement that God had in any way, then he would not have been our Savior, could not have been our Redeemer, could not have fulfilled, we couldn't have fulfilled the law on him.

And the fourth reason why he was circumcised, without it, he could not be recognized as the son of David. Oh my, he was the son of David as a king. And he could not have been the seed of Abraham had he not been circumcised. And those two things showed that he was the seed of David and the seed of Abraham. And another reason was, if he had not been circumcised, he could not have been in any Jewish assembly at ever any time. He could not have went into a synagogue. He could not have went into a Jewish assembly. He could not have been regarded no more than an uncircumcised Jew trying to get into a synagogue. And that's why it was.

And our Lord Jesus Christ, as an infant, he submitted to this, and as he did all the rest of the law, not for himself, not for himself, because he's without sin, is born without sin, lived without sin, and died only because he bore the sin of somebody else.

Look what our Lord said. Keep Luke now and look over in Matthew chapter 5, in Matthew chapter 5. You know, if you think people ain't under the law, it ain't under under its curse and think they are keeping it. I can tell you of two instances that I've seen for myself.

I was in a service one time, and a preacher got up to preach. And he said, you know, dealing with righteousness is like walking a tightrope. He said, on one side, you got the righteousness of Christ, and on the other side, you got your own righteousness. And he said, if you go too far this way, you'll fall off. And if you go too far this way, you fall off. There's only one thing wrong with that. There ain't but one righteousness. We don't have one. I'm not watching a tightrope. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. Not to the person that does, but to he that believes.

Now look over here in Matthew chapter 5 and verse 17. Look what our master said here.

And another time instance was I know the preacher and he was a good preacher. He come down preach for us years and years ago. Very good preacher. And and he decided that he's going to start living a holy life. We're going to start living holy. And he got a few people together out of a congregation. In fact, it was from Henry Mahan's congregation. He just wanted to start living a holy life. Didn't think people's living holy enough. And so he got some folks together, started meeting in the homes, and they started talking about holiness and preaching holiness and doing that. Well, naturally, he left. He left. And he went and joined that church where that preacher's walking the tightrope. And he gained a little weight. And they put him on church discipline and wouldn't let him preach and wouldn't let him have anything to do in the service until he lost weight. We'd be in a mess, wouldn't we? Half the dust would be put out of the church.

But, you know, you see those things, you hear those things. And I know where I speak. I tried it myself. I tried it myself. And it don't work, we've all tried it, it don't work.

But look what our master said here. In verse 17, when you see that little thing right there by verse 17, he's starting a new subject, starting a new paragraph. He is talking about some other things, then he's gonna start a new subject.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law. And you know why he says that? Or the prophets. I'm not come to destroy, but to fulfill. You know why he said, I come not to destroy? Because from here on out, he said, you've heard it said. That's what the Jews taught. He said, but I say unto you. And that's why he said, I didn't come to destroy it, I come to destroy your concept of it, your obedience to it, and your thoughts of it, and everything you believe about it, I'm going to tell you what it really means. You think it's this one way, I'm going to tell you the way it really is. You want to have something to do with the flesh and what your flesh does. He said, God the law deals with the inward man. And so that's why he said, I didn't come to destroy it. I'm going to destroy your ideas of it. I'm going to destroy your hopes of it. I'm going to destroy your salvation by it and your deliverance by it and your hope by it. I'm going to destroy your righteousness by it. And that's what he says. And look what he said. I'm not come to destroy. I've come to fulfill it. I'm come to tell you just exactly what it is and I'll fulfill it.

And then look what else he said. Verily, and that word verily means truly, I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in no way pass from the law till all of us fulfill. And look what he says down here and now in verse 20. For I say unto you, except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of God. Now that's the first thing he destroyed, right then and there. They've got a righteousness, but you've got to have one a heapsight better than that. A heapsight better than that. And oh my.

And our Lord Jesus Christ was made a curse for us. Cursed as ever was. That's under the law. And he said he was cursed for us. Cursed for us. And oh my. And then look what else it said here in verse 21. Back over in Luke 2. Eight days accomplished for the circumcision of the child. And look what else it says. His name was called Jesus. And who named him? Named of the angel of the Lord. Listen to this now. Before he was conceived in the womb. Before he was ever conceived in Mary's womb. They gave him a name. They gave him a name. And that word Jesus is the same word as Joshua. It means Savior. He came to be Lord and Savior. Ain't that what it said over here in verse 11 of chapter 2? For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. He came to be Savior. He came to be Lord. He came as a king, born king. He come, he was the lawgiver. He was that prophet that God said would come, and he would take all my words in his mouth and only speak the words that I gave to him.

He was the priest. He was the last priest that God ever recognized. He was a high priest. He said, I'll make you a high priest forever after the order of Mechizedek. There's three things you got to have if you're going to worship God. First of all, you got to have a sacrifice. Got to have a sacrifice. And you got to have a priest to offer that sacrifice. And then you got to have blood. And in our Lord Jesus Christ, you got a prophet, you got a priest. He's our priest. He shed his own blood. And he offered it on a sacrifice so we got all the things that God requires of us in one person, the Lord Jesus Christ. And that's the only way we can worship God is having those three things. We got to have them.

You know, God, Scott Richardson, you said all the time, said, God will not be spoken to or speak to anybody apart from his son. And thou shalt call his name Jesus. We pray in his name. We come, Lord, in thy name. Our Lord said, Whatsoever ye ask in my name. Brad preached a message here a while back, and that's what he said in his name, everything in his name. And he dealt with the name. Everything's in that name. Salvation's in that name. Life is in that name. Truth is in that name. Grace is in that name. Mercy's in that name. Power's in that name. Deliverance is in that name. Everything is in that name. The name of Jesus. And who named him? The angel of the Lord, before he was conceived in the womb. And oh my.

And I tell you something else he's done. He's the judge. He's a judge of every, you know, he's a judge of every fallen man. He's the judge of the quick and dead, and God has appointed him to be the judge. When we face God in judgment, and everybody's gonna face God in judgment one of these days.

And here's the thing about it. You know who the judge gonna be? The Lord Jesus Christ, sitting on his throne. But here's the difference. between fallen man, and God judging him, and us. We saw him as he had been a lamb slain. We saw him as a lamb as it had been slain. And oh, we sung a new song. We sung that new song. And oh my.

And all these titles are rightly for his. But the name given him, that's the most precious, the most precious, the most precious to us. The name that's most precious is Jesus Joshua Jehovah Savior. That's the most blessed name. That's the most blessed name, Savior. Savior. And oh, how precious his name to us that believe, that believe.

Look over in Matthew chapter 1. How precious he is to us that believe. Look what the angel said here down in verse 21. The angel, Gabriel's the one that come and told them this. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus. And in the margin it says that is Savior. For he shall save his people from their sins. Savior. To me, to me that's the most precious name, Savior. I can't, I can't, I never have when I read Savior, a Savior, a Savior. You're talking about, you know, the only people that's interested in a Savior is people that that you know, you're only saved if you're in danger. You know, it says, you know, for by grace are you saved? You're only saved when you're in danger. People's not in danger don't want to be saved. People that's not lost don't want to be found. People that's not sinful don't want to be saved.

People, you know, people say all the time, I've done some awful, I've done some really good things in my life. Surely that counts for something. Listen, You ought to do good things. Everybody ought to do good things. But don't trust in good things. Don't trust in what you, trust in a person. We're talking about a person. And that's what he's talking about here. A person. Thou shalt call his name Jesus. That's a person. I can't stress that enough. We trust a person. And oh my, and how precious is that name.

And that name, the Lord Jesus Christ, speaks of grace, speaks of mercy, speaks of deliverance. It speaks of sin being put away, salvation for helpless people, hopeless people, people who cannot save themselves. Oh my, I've never been able to save myself. I'm 75 years old, soon to be 76, and I tell you what, from the day I was born till the day I die, I have never, never been without needing help. and knowing that I cannot save myself. And I couldn't from the day I was born and I won't be able to till the day I die. I cannot do nothing to save myself in any way in the world. I can't even save myself from troubles. I'd save myself from every trouble come on my life if I could do that. I'd save myself from every sin if I could do that. I'd save myself from my imagination if I could do that. That's why I need a Savior. I need a Savior that saves me from the top of my head to the sole of my feet, from the inside of my heart and my soul to the outside of my body, that saves me every step I take, saves me every breath I breathe, saves me every moment I live. I'm talking about a Savior. And I need a Savior. And I love that name. Thou shalt call his name Jesus.

And you know what it says? Oh, he gonna try to save. He'd like to save. If you'd let him save you, but no, he says he shall, shall save. Who's he gonna save? His people. What's he gonna save them from? Their sin? Oh, I'm taking too long, but let me tell you something.

There's four people You know, they, Christ was named Jesus, but there was four people in the Old Testament that God gave names to them before they were ever born. You know that? He gave a name to Christ before he was ever, Jesus, before he was ever born in his, conceived in his mother's womb. And there's four people in the Old Testament that God named them before they were ever conceived in their mother's wombs.

You know the first one's name? Isaac. God told Abraham, said, you're going to have a son. Oh, I can't have a son in my old age. Oh, yeah, you can. And you know what you're going to name him? You're going to name him Isaac. You know what that means? Gift of God. You know what that means? A promise kept.

And then Ishmael. Abraham had a first son. His first name was named Ishmael. He was born after the flesh. And God said, you'll call his name Ishmael. And you know what that means? He shall be heard of God. He shall be heard of God.

And then there was another one. He was made king when he was 12 years old, but he hadn't even been born yet. And they called his name Josiah. And you know what it said about him? It said he would tear down every altar and destroy every false prophet in Israel. And he became king when he was 12 years old, but they called him Josiah before he was ever born. And then there was a king in Isaiah, it talks about Cyrus, the king that would be over Persia, be over Babylon. And you know what God said about him? He named his name 200 years before he was ever born. He says, Cyrus, I'm going to use him to bring my people up out of Babylon and rebuild the tabernacle, rebuild the Jerusalem, rebuild the temple.

Four people that God named. And guess what? You know why you're named what you're named? God named you. You know that? Oh, listen.

And then in the New Testament, there's two. There's only two names. John. Remember what? You know, his mother said, name him Zacharias. He said, no, no, his name's John. Zacharias. They said, give us something. Let me write it. He wrote down John. Nobody's ever been named that before. That don't make no difference. That's what God said. I want him to be named. I want him to be named John.

And then our Lord Jesus Christ. And you know what? I'm going to show you something. Jeremiah chapter one. Keep Luke now. Look in Jeremiah chapter one. Jeremiah chapter one. Verse five. You need to see this. I quote it all the time. You know, that's what Paul meant, and you know, he was a, he was a rebel most of his life, until the Lord saved him. And he said, When it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace.

Look what it says down, verse 4 and 5. Jeremiah chapter 1, Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee. And before thou camest out of the womb, I sanctified thee. And I ordained thee to be a prophet unto the nations. Oh, I tell you what God does. He named all of us for we is ever in our mother's womb. And He knew us before I was in our mother's. I knew you. I knew you. Oh, my.

And here I want to ask you a question. I want to ask you a question. I want to ask you a question. The question is, is Christ your Savior? Can you say the Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior? Mine. I'm not talking about, you know, a personal Savior like everybody talks about. He's a Savior, whether you ever believe Him or not. But is He your Savior? Can you say, yes, Jesus Christ is my Savior? He's my Lord. He's my Master. He's my Savior. Can you say that He saved you from your guilt? Can you say He saved you from the power of sin? Can you say he saved you from death? Can you say he set me free when I was in bondage? Can you say this is my friend that sticketh closer than a brother? I was dead and he gave me life. I was in prison of sin and he set me free.

Does he comfort you? Does he come and comfort you when you're down? Does he come to you and is your comfort when you're down and discouraged, when you don't know what to do, when your body is in pain and your mind is in confusion and you're depressed and you're despairing? Is he your friend? Does Christ come and comfort you? Does He come and comfort you in your time?

We sung that song, Sweet Hour Prayer. And I'll tell you what, you know when prayer is really, really sweet? When you're in such a great, great need and you got nobody else to call on but Him. And there's never been a time that He has not come and gave comfort to His people. Oh, my.

You know, does He restore your conscience? when it fails. Now I didn't ask you, now listen, I don't want to take too much longer, but I didn't ask you that you know some things about him, but do you know him? Everybody knows from a little child that Jesus, Jesus, oh my, I didn't ask you if you know anything about him or about his work. I'm asking you, do you know him as your savior? Is he your savior? Is he your redeemer? Is he real to you? Is he a comfort to you, a blessing to you? Oh, my.

Well, I want you to see another thing about his family back over in our text. It says in verse 22, let me read down. And when the days, verse 22, and when the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, first of all, to present him to the Lord. It's written, this is written in Exodus, is where it's written. As is written in the law of the Lord, every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord. They come to present Christ to the Lord. Lord, you gave him to us and here he is, he belongs to you. And they gave Christ to the Lord.

And then it says in verse 24, marriage purification. This is 33 days. It's 33 days after her purification, after she had her child, after she had the Lord Jesus Christ. This is 33 days after his circumcision. And you know, and it tells her that she has to, in Leviticus, it says that she has to, in the days of her purification, have to come up. And if you got, if you could afford it, you can buy a lamb and offer a lamb for a sin offering. It all says that in verse 23.

And oh my, after the days of her purification, 33 days later, written in the law of the Lord every male opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord she brought brought them present him to the Lord and she came also listen to this to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons you know why she offered turtledoves and pigeons that was what people that didn't have any money and was very very poor They could get pigeons or they could get doves. And that's what he said, if they're too poor to do anything else, get you some pigeons or get you some turtle doves. And she came to offer a sin offering for her uncleanness. And now that considers her clean according to the law.

And you know, our Lord Jesus Christ came to be a sin offering for our uncleanness. She came to give a sin offering for her uncleanness. And our Lord willingly, willingly joined himself to this poor family. Our Lord was raised in a poor man's home. He was raised in a poor man's home. And there was nothing about his life that distinguished him from anyone else without a revelation.

Look over, I think it's Matthew chapter 8, verse 20, and then I'm going to wind this thing up. Matthew 8, verse 20, talking about our Lord Jesus Christ. He joined himself to poor, poor people. And you know what he says, blessed are the poor. Now when he talks about poor, he's talking about poor in spirit, not poor in money. Or none of us poor, but he makes you poor in spirit. But there are people that were very poor. Look what it said here in verse 20. A fellow said, I'm gonna follow you every place you go, Lord. And our Lord said unto him, the foxes have owls, birds of their nest, but the son of man Don't even have a place to lay his head. That's pretty poor, ain't it? That's pretty poor.

Look over in 2 Corinthians chapter 8. You know, it says in John 7, last part of the verse, it says, every man went to his own house But nobody said, would you spend the night with us? We'd like to fix you and me, or won't you stay with us tonight? Every man went to his own house after he healed a bunch, after he'd done so many wonderful works for him. Every man went to his own house. You know where Christ went? Went up on a mountain. Went up on a mountain.

But look what it says here in verse 8, 2 Corinthians 8 and verse 9. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ." Oh, we do know something about grace. Grace and truth came through him. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Listen to this, that though he was rich, he had the wealth of heaven. The heaven of heavens can't contain him. He has the riches of grace. He has the riches of knowledge, everything about Christ. He owned everything, everything. Christ is the heir of all things. And yet he was rich. Now listen to this. Yet, for your sakes, for your sakes, he became poor. He became poor. I became a poor man. A poor man. That me, you, through my poverty, through my poorness, you're the one. I became, I was rich, I became poor. That because I became poor, you can have my riches now. And he said, you know who I did that for? For you. For your sakes. For your sakes.

And oh my, well, I'm grateful our Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the law. I'm grateful that the first thing that it says about his history is that he was circumcised the eighth day according to the law. According to the law. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Blessed be your holy name. You allowed me to speak again today. And I pray that you'd cause it to be a blessing, to be an encouragement, that we learn some things, that we learn some things. We always need to learn things, Lord. We need to learn things concerning you. And I'm so thankful that you're a savior of all the things that blesses my heart more than anything in this world, as your Savior, my Savior, my Redeemer, the lover of my soul, the Savior of my soul, the one that put away my sin by your own sacrifice, Oh Lord, bless your name that you bore our sin in your own body on that tree. Oh Lord Jesus, blessed be your holy name. Thank you, blessed be your name.

God bless this message to hearts today for Christ's sake, amen, amen.
