To God be the glory, great things
He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life in atonement for sin, And opened the life-gate
that let all may go in. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, through
Jesus the Son, and give Him the glory, great things He hath done. O perfect redemption, the purchase
of blood to every believer, the promise of God, the vilest offender
who truly believes, that moment from Jesus the pardon receives. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, who keeps
us, the Son, and give Him the glory, great things He hath done. Great things He hath taught us,
great things He hath done, and great are rejoicing through Jesus
the Son. But purer and higher and greater
will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear His voice. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice. O come to the Father, through
Jesus the Son, And give him the glory great things he hath done. They say that we'll sing hymn
number 49. Number 49. Jesus bought a print for sinners,
Jesus, lover of my soul. Friends may fail me, foes assail
me, He, my Savior, makes me whole. Alleluia, what a Saviour! Alleluia, what a Prince! Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end. Jesus, what a strength in me
this Let me hide myself in thee Tempted, tried, and sometimes
failing Be my strength, my victory win Hallelujah! What a Savior! Hallelujah! What a Friend! Saving, Helping, Keeping, Loving,
He is with me to the end. Jesus, what a help in sorrow,
While the billows o'er me roll. Even when my heart is breaking,
He, my Comfort, helps my soul. Hallelujah, what a Savior! Hallelujah, what a Friend! Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end. Jesus brought a guide and keeper,
while the tempest still is high. Storms about me, neither takes
me. He, my pilot, hears my cry. Alleluia! What a Savior! Alleluia! What a friend! Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end. I do. Hallelujah! What a friend! Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end. Romans chapter 10, Romans chapter
10, pick up where we left off last week. Blaine and Shannon
got to take little Levi home today. They had to take some
classes, you know. Grateful that they got to take
him home. I have to watch him close, though,
I'm sure. He's a nurse, so that'll help
her. Something about kids, boy, really,
something wrong with them, really bothers me. All right, let me start reading
here in verse 11 and down to the end
of the chapter. So the scripture said, whosoever
believeth on him shall not be ashamed, For there is no difference
between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him. But whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they
call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they
hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except
they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful
are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring
glad tidings of good things. But they have not all obeyed
the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath
believed our report? So then faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God. But I say unto you, have they
not heard? Yes, verily their sound went
into all the earth. and their words unto the end
of the world. But I say, did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke
you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish
nation I will anger you. But Isaiah is very bold and saith,
I was found of them that sought me not. I was made manifest unto
them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith all day
long, I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and
gang-saying people." Our Father, who art in heaven,
your name is holy, your name is holy. Like your disciples, we pray
that your will be done on this earth. Be done in us. Be done in this congregation
of believers, even as it's done in heaven. Lord, accomplish your
will in us. Accomplish your purpose in us.
Accomplish your great power in us. Oh Lord, make us cause us
to cleave unto you. Cause us to believe you. Look
to you. all the days of our life till
you take us home to be with you. Lord, I praise you and thank
you for the day. Bless you for those who's come
out this evening. Pray for those who are not with
us through weakness of body, frailty, sickness. Lord, that
you'd bless them, encourage them, and uphold them. And the ones
that's listening this evening, watching this evening, God bless
them. I know some are far away and
can't get here. And Lord, we are thankful that
you have a means of preaching the gospel in this world, even
those that can't be here. And our Father, we pray for our
children, our grandchildren. Lord, please have mercy on them.
Please deal with them. Lord, make them feel their need.
Oh, Lord. Oh, all of us have, everyone
in this building tonight has children. children that they
want to know Christ. Lord, you have to create the
need. Please do that. And for those that request prayer,
we pray for them again, ask that you meet the needs of their home,
meet the needs of their hearts, the desires of their heart. If
it's after you, bring glory to yourself in the preaching of
your word tonight. May we all be blessed through
the preaching of the gospel of our grace of God and our great
and glorious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. 37. Oh, Lord, my God, when I in awesome
wonder consider all the worlds Thy hands have made, I see the
stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe
displayed Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great
Thou art, how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior
God, to Thee How great Thou art! How great Thou art! When through the woods and forest
plains I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook And
feel the gentle breeze Then sings my soul My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art How great Thou art Then sings my soul,
my Savior God, to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art
And when I pee That God is an osprey. Send him to die, I scarce can
take it in. That on the cross, my burden
gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Then sings my soul, my Savior
God to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior
God, to Thee How great Thou art! How great Thou art! When Christ shall come, with
shout of acclamation, and take me home, what joys shall fill
my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration
Then there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior
God, to Thee How great Thou art. How great Thou art. Then sings my soul, my Savior
God, to Thee. How great Thou art. How great Thou art. All right, back here in Romans
chapter 10. The subject tonight, or the title
of my message tonight is Righteousness for All. Righteousness for All. It says there in verse 12, Romans
10, 12, There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
for the same Lord over all is rich upon all that call upon
Him. You know, last week we dealt
with what the Apostle did with righteousness either by works
or righteousness by faith. Moses described the righteousness
which is by the law, that the man that doeth them shall live
by them. But the righteousness of faith
speaks this way. You don't have to ask Christ
to come down. You don't have to go get Christ and bring Him
up. The Word, the Word is nice. The Word, the Gospel. And I tell
you, righteousness by faith in Christ is the end of the law.
For righteousness. To who? Them that don't do, but
them that believe. Believe. And the word says there
in verse 11, whosoever. And I love that. Whosoever. I
like that. You know, and whosoever believes
on Him. Whosoever believes on Him. That's
from Isaiah 28. But you know, The Old Testament
told us, showed us time and time again that righteousness would
be by faith, not by law, not by works, not by merit, not by
heritage, because of who you come from. And you know John
112 said, to as many as received him, to them gave he the power
to become the sons of God, which were born, not of the will of
man, not of the flesh, not of the power of man, not of blood,
but of God, born of God. So anything that, anything that
has happened to us, it has to be God who does it, because we
don't, we don't, none of us deserve anything. And I know it can't
be on my heritage, can't be by my law, can't be by my works,
can't be by my merit, because I don't have any of it. And then
he's gonna tell us that the gospel's universal, gospel's universal
in the first two verses here in Romans 10, 12 and 13. He said, there is no difference
between the Jew and the Greek. When he talks about the Greek,
he means Gentiles. For the same Lord over all is
rich upon to all them that call upon him. For whosoever shall
call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. They'll be saved. And here's the thing, he's talking
about that, and this shows us that everything God does for
us is a free gift, free gift. You know, first of all, he deals
with the character of God, the character of God. Look what he
says there, the same Lord, in verse 12, the same Lord over
all. We're dealing with the Lord,
not dealing with man. The same Lord, and He's over
all. There's no place where he's not
Lord. There's nobody he's not Lord of. There's nobody that
he's known has authority over. But it's the same Lord, the same
Lord. He's dealing with the character
of God Almighty. And it says he's over all. And
he's the same to all. You know, Paul asked the question,
is he the God of the Jews only? Is that the only God he is, the
only of the Jews? He said, is He not a God of the
Gentiles also? Is He not a God over all? That's
what He says here. And He said, He's rich unto all
that call upon Him. Oh, He's rich. And I tell you
what, oh, how rich do you reckon God is? How rich do you reckon
He is? How rich do you reckon He is
in grace? How much grace do you reckon
He's got? How much mercy is He? How rich is He in mercy? How
rich is He in love? How rich is He in power? How
rich is He in righteousness? How rich is He in love? How rich is God Almighty? Do
you know who He's rich to? Those that call on Him. You ain't
get nothing until you call on Him. Rich over all. How rich is He? I'll tell you
what, he's been giving me grace for all these many years, and
he has not lost one, just as much as he had when he started.
He's been showing me mercy every day, and he's as still rich in
mercy as he was. He's loved me with an everlasting
love, and he's still rich in mercy. He still has all the love
that he's not missed one out of it. That's what's so wonderful
about God. He can give, and give, and give,
and give, and give, and give, and give, and give, and give.
And He's as rich as He was when He first started giving. I mean,
you can give ourselves into poverty, but God can't. God can't. And oh, He's rich. He's wealth,
and grace, and mercy. And I tell you, have you ever
heard of anybody perishing at the door of mercy? Oh no, he's
rich in grace, he's rich in glory. And doesn't look what he says
in the beginning of verse 1, 12 there, for there is no difference. There is no difference. I want
you to keep that and look over here with me in Romans chapter
3, verse 22. Oh, He's going to show us no
difference. He says He's no different than them that call upon Him,
Jew or Greek. But He said here in Romans 3.22,
even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ,
now here we go again, unto all and upon all them that believe.
And that's just what He said over there. And look what He
says, for all have sinned. And He said, for there is no
difference. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God." There's no difference in our sinfulness. There's no difference
in our sinfulness. And there's no difference in
God when He takes sinners like ourselves. There's no difference
in God's riches towards them. You know, no difference in our
sinfulness, no difference in His grace and His mercy. The
same Lord over all is continually, continually wealthy to all those
that call upon Him. And I'll tell you, look what
else it says there in verse 13. And this is a promise. This is a promise that God made.
Oh my. He said, for whosoever shall
call, that's two times He said whosoever, shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be dead. Whosoever, Jew or Gentile, don't
make any difference. And you know where he gets this
at? I'm going to read it to you. It's over here in Joel. I'm going
to read it to you. I don't want you to take time
to look at it. I'm going to read where this
says it's in the book of Joel. Chapter 2 and verse 32. And this
is what it says. And this shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
delivered, shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in thy remnant
shall the Lord, upon whom the Lord shall call. And oh my, that's
what he tells us over here in Romans 12, that he says, you
know, the Lord, excuse me, Romans 10, but that whosoever shall
call. And when he talks about calling
on the name of the Lord, his name is Jebiel Carey. His name is His revealed character.
You know, when you're talking about the Lord, you've got to
talk about who He is. Who He is. Who is He? Who is
the Lord? That's what Pharaoh asked Moses,
who is the Lord that I should obey? Well, he found out. He
found out who the Lord was. He found out that the power of
God was upon Him and to destroy Him. And oh my, who is he? He's God over all. What has he
done? He does as He pleases in the
armies of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, and
nobody can stay His hand and say, I'm doing what I'm doing
now. Why did He do it? Because He's God and He does
what He will to do. Nobody can question, who are
doubt that replies against God? And where is He now? He's sitting
at the right hand of God with all power and majesty vested
in Him. No wonder the Apostle said this, there's no other name
no other name given under heaven whereby we must be saved other
than Jesus Christ. And he says there, God has given
him a name, talking about this name, God give him a name that's
above every name, that every knee should bow, every tongue
should confess to the glory of The Lord said that even those
that crucified Him will see. And one of these days they'll
have to say, He is Lord. He is Lord. And I tell you, He's
rich. That's the thing. We call upon
Him. And to call upon Him. Now here's the thing. If you
ever start calling on the Lord, you never stop. That's what this
means. If you ever start calling on
the Lord, you never stop. If you start calling upon Him
for salvation, how many times have you called on Him since
the day you first called on Him? Have you ever stopped calling
on Him? Do you know why you call on Him? Because He's the only
Savior. He's the Lord. He's the only
one who can do anything for us. And He's the only one, and it
says, call upon Him, shall be saved. Thank God that I can call on
Him no matter what's going on in this world. And I tell you
what, He'll save us out of our troubles, save us out of our
heartaches, save us out of trials, save us in our darkest hour.
He saves us when we're cold and careless. He's always saving
us. And I tell you, we're always
calling on Him, always calling on Him. I wonder how many of
us called on Him today, how many called on Him before we ever
got here, how many called on Him while we're sitting here,
called on the Lord. And to call upon Him is to recognize
Him as He is. And when you recognize Him as
He is, guess who else you recognize? Yourself. And what do you recognize
about yourself when you recognize Him? He's everything and you're
nothing. You ain't got nothing to bring
to the table. You ain't got nothing that you
can bring. He brings everything. And oh my, when you, that's what
Isaiah said, when he saw the Lord high and lifted up, the
first thing he said, woe is me. You know, this generation don't
know nothing about saying, woe is me. The old hymn writer said,
Depth of mercy, can there be? Mercy still reserved for me?
Can my God His wrath forbear, and me, the chief of sinners,
spare? Oh, my. Oh, to believe on Him is to believe
His Word, to believe His promise, and to hope in His mercy. So,
oh, we got a double assurance of salvation. Oh, by the same
Lord over all, He is God. And what He promises, if you
call on Him, He'll save you. He'll save you. And He has saved
you. And oh, look what He says now. This is why we preach the gospel
right here. Here's why we preach the gospel.
How then shall they call on Him of whom they have not believed?
If you're gonna call on the Lord, And you're going to be saved
by calling on the Lord. You got to know who you're calling
on. Now we're coming up to this little old, this building down
the road down here, this congregation. They said, Jesus is an investment
that never loses. Now there's not an ounce of faith,
not an ounce of faith in anybody that's in that building. Anybody
that puts something like that up has no idea. That's why they
said, it won't do them any good to call on the Lord, because
they don't know who he is. And that's what he's talking
about. How then shall they call on him? How shall they call on him and
who've they have not believed? You got to believe him. You got
to believe His promise. You got to believe His Word.
You got to believe He's got the power. You got to believe He's
rich in grace. And you got to believe that you
have need of salvation. That's the man's problem. He
don't have any need. Oh, my soul, how would we like
to see our children be brought to a need? People cook meals
because they get hungry. We drink water when we get thirsty.
But we're in the world of people that have a need of the gospel,
a need of Christ. And oh, how are they going to
call on Him on whom they have not believed? And oh my, listen to this. And
how in the world shall they believe in Him? And everything's about
Him. Whom? Him and whom? And how shall
they believe in him of whom they have not heard? If a person don't
get the right information concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, they don't
know who to call on. And I'll give you an illustration.
You take a free will Baptist church. They say that everything's
left up to the man. Everything, salvation depends
on him. But they don't even believe that.
If they did, they wouldn't be begging people to come and accept
Jesus. If they really left them up to
their own will, they wouldn't have to beg them. They wouldn't
have to have altercars. They wouldn't have to entice
them. They wouldn't have to sing pass me not 10,000 times. Oh my. But I tell you how in
the world you can, if you don't believe in Him, you never heard
of Him, you can't believe in Him. But you got to hear about
the Christ of the Bible. You got to hear about the Christ,
beloved, that bore our sins in his own body on a tree. Oh my, look what else he says.
How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher? You got to have a preacher. And he's got a message. Paul
said, I'm determined not to know anything among you save Jesus
Christ and Him crucified. And oh my, how shall they hear
without a preacher? You've got to hear. You've got
to know whom you're calling on. You've got to believe on somebody.
You've got to have the right information. You've got to have
Christ declared to you as He really is. And listen to this. And how shall they preach? How in the world are they going
to preach? Who decides who the preacher is? Who decides who the preacher
is going to be? Does the church say, well, we
need to find the preacher? Where are you going to get a
preacher at? Somebody's got to send him. Well,
who sends him? Keep this, look at Isaiah 52.
Look at Isaiah 52. You know, when you hear a preacher,
you know you've heard a preacher. And then when you hear just a
speaker, somebody that ain't been said, it's pretty obvious
sometimes. It's pretty obvious. Oh my, look what it says here
in Isaiah 52 6. Now listen to what he says here.
Therefore my people shall know my name. My people did. And therefore
they shall know on that day that I am he that doeth speak. Behold it is I. And it is written,
that's what I just read over there in Romans 10. How beautiful
upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that come and publishes peace. that bringeth good tidings of
good, that publisheth salvation. And what is this salvation, saith
unto Zion, thy God reigneth." That's what we're talking about.
He said, my people are going to know. They're going to know. It's written. How beautiful,
oh, I've seen some beautiful feet in my lifetime. Oh, the
beautiful feet. I was reading somebody's testimony
the other day. They'd been religious and attended
a sovereign grace church for years. and heard the best preachers. In fact, she said that went to
13th Street, and one night she was laying in bed, laying in
bed listening to Gabe Stoniker preach, and God saved them while
they was listening to Gabe in the bed. And they'd been under
the best preaching forever. That just goes to show you that
when God's prime, His people's gonna hear His name. They're
gonna know His name. And the feet are beautiful. And
you know what they're publishing? Peace. Peace. Who brings peace? God brings
peace. Christ brings peace. He's the
prince of peace. He brought peace. He's the peace. The scripture says He is our
peace. He made peace through the blood
of His cross. Oh my goodness, we've been in
wars. We ain't won a war since World
War II. And how many wars have we been
into since World War II? And we ain't never won a war
yet. But I tell you what, God won
the war, he defeated his enemies, and he calls everyone to bow
to his feet, and he calls all of us to call upon him, and he
makes his name known, and he sends a preacher to tell us about
Christ, to tell us about salvation by grace, to tell us salvation
by purpose, to tell us salvation by the grace and mercy of God
in Christ. Oh my. Oh, they tell us about
the character of God, these preachers do. Tell us of His redeeming
love and grace. Tell about how He come, come
through the womb of a virgin. Tell us how He lived a sinless,
holy, perfect, God-honoring, God-obeying life. And a substitute, told to tell
about a substitute, somebody else bearing your sin, that you
don't have to bear them anymore. Somebody else bearing your sin,
and that Christ was the one that bore the sin. Christ dying. Oh my. And oh my, we don't stop
there. We got to tell about His resurrection.
He didn't stay dead. Oh, Mary, come there. There's
two men sitting there. Who are you looking for? Jesus
of Nazareth. He's not here. Where is he? He's
risen. Where am I going to see him at?
Over in Galilee. He told you that's where he'd
see you. Oh, my. And then I tell you what, them
fellas stood outside Jerusalem. And our Lord Jesus Christ, they
went out there with the apostles, and he lost gravity, and he started
ascending up into glory, and we're right up in the clouds.
He said, you men of Israel, why stand you here looking up? He was going back where he come
from. He said, Father, give me the glory that I had with you
before the world was. And he entered right back into
his glory that he left before he got here. Oh. Tell about His intercession.
Oh, He prays for us when we can't pray for ourselves. He prays
for us and intercedes for us when we sin and we're not conscious
of. How many sins have we committed that we're never conscious of? How many unbelief, days of unbelief
have we had that we're not conscious of, we're not believing? But
who, who intercedes for us when we're in that shape? Christ does. They're mine, I bought them,
I paid for them, I love them. And all my who's gonna tell us
about his satisfaction that he satisfied God He satisfied God's
justice satisfied God's righteousness satisfied God's holiness And
all because he was a sacrifice for sin And all who in the world
can tell us that Christ is the wisdom of God Almighty Oh God
in his wisdom save sinners like us Oh, my. Let me tell you something. You think everybody ought to
believe that gospel. Everybody ought to. But look what happens,
what it says now. Look at verse 16. Verse 16. But they have not all obeyed
the gospel. They've not all obeyed the gospel.
For Isaiah, said, Lord, who hath believed our report? Who's believed
our gospel? Who's believed our preaching?
Who heard our preaching? So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God. Oh, they've not all obeyed. Here's
the thing. You know, that's why Isaiah said,
Lord, who hath believed our preaching? Who's believed our word? Who
heard it? Who heard it? Do you know How many people,
how many times the Jews read the Old Testament? That's all
they had. That's all anybody has, the Old Testament. How many
times you reckon they read Isaiah 53 and never saw Christ? Never heard Christ, never understood
it. That Ethiopian eunuch, when he
was up in the chair reading, he was reading from Isaiah 53.
Philip jumped in there and said, Do you understand what you're
reading? How can a man die? And he's reading from Isaiah
53, and he preached Christ from that passage. But oh, who has
believed our preaching? And oh, they will not come to
me that they might have life. And that's why Paul said, What
if some are without faith? What if some don't believe? Does
that make God Work and the death of Christ in effect shall make
the gospel any less. Oh my, they not all obeyed. Oh,
they didn't all obey. How many people now, that now,
that you know when you, when you preach the gospel, how many
obey now? How many obey now? And then look
what he goes on to say. Oh my. and you know what it says
there in verse seventeen who have believed how you going to
believe then faith it comes by hearing but there's certain things you
gotta hear not just anything not an opinion not a denominational not just doctrinal things not
practical things but you've got to hear the word of god and i'll
tell you what You all know this, every time somebody's preaching,
whether it's me or Cody or anybody that comes in here to preach,
while they're preaching, faith comes back to you. And that's
why you nod your head, that's why you say amen, that's why
you believe, that's why you look, because while you're preaching,
faith is coming back to you. You say, yeah, that's right,
that's right, that's right, you know, because faith comes with
that. And when you hear the Word of God, you answer to Christ
in you. Oh, to Christ being priest. Oh,
my. Faith, oh, can't trust an unrevealed
Christ. We've got to hear, not just with
the ear, but with our heart, with our desire, with our understanding,
with our need. That's why we're here, because
we have a need. Oh, my, men must hear the Word.
And then there's no excuse, there's no excuse for anybody not being
a believer, anybody not doing it. Look what he says, verse
18. He said, but I say, have they
not heard? Yes, they have. Their sound went
into all the earth, their words went unto the end of the earth.
Well, what's he talking about? Look in Psalm 19. I hope I ain't taking too long.
Psalm 19 with me. Psalm 19. This is what he's talking
about. It's exactly what he's talking
about. That's what he said in the first
chapter. Men are without excuse. Look
what he says, no excuses. Oh, did they hear? Yes, they
heard. Words went to the end of the
earth. Look what he says. The heavens declare the glory
of God. When you look up, they're declaring
God's glory. And you look on this earth and
you see God's handiwork everywhere. Day under day, every day it speaks. And night under night, when you
look in the sky, it shows you some knowledge. And listen to
this, there's no speech. that can't understand it. There's
no language that can't understand it. There's no place where their
voice is not heard. Oh my, now watch. Their line
is going out through all the earth and their words to the
end of the world. And he set them in a tabernacle
in the heavens. So that's why, I mean, they had,
they know God was the creator, but they didn't want to believe
it. You know, it wasn't just a case of not hearing and not
believing. It's something worse. It was
the deliberate refusal and rejection and contempt. Showing, showing. And then look what he says in
verse 19. But I say, but I say, did not
Israel know? Did not Israel know? about Christ. Did not Israel
know what God was going to do? Moses said, I will provoke you
to jealousy. I'm going to provoke Israel to
jealousy by them that are no people. And by a foolish nation
will I anger you. Isaiah is very, very bold and
said, I was found to them that sought me not. I was made manifest
to them that asked not after me. You know, when Israel heard
They heard in the tabernacle, they heard in the ceremonies,
they heard from Moses, Isaiah. And oh my, it wasn't a lack of
hearing, it was disobedience. And look what he says there,
I was found them wasn't looking for me. Now that's me and you. There wasn't a one of us, not
a one of us was seeking the Lord, but he found us. I was found of them. Ain't that
what it says? I was found of them that sought
me not. We wasn't looking for him. But he found us and we found
him. I was found of them that sought me not. And listen to
this. I was made manifest. They didn't even ask after him.
But he said, I'm going to let them know me. I'm going to manifest
myself to them. I'm going to manifest myself
to them. But oh my, Moses told them, Moses
warned them, Isaiah told them, Moses warned them. And then look
at the last verse here. But to Israel, and this is from
Isaiah 65, you can go over there and look at it. And he says,
but to Israel, this is what God does to Israel, all day long. using language we can understand,
all day long. I stretched forth my hands. I
stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient. My hand, our Lord,
wept over Jerusalem, said, Oh, how oft I gather a hen gathers
her chicks, but you would not. You, if you'd have just known
your peace. I've stretched out my hands all day unto a disobedient. And that word gainsaying means
denying. God, he said, they stretched
out his hands. Oh, my. You imagine God stretching
out his hand to somebody, taking the time to stretch out his hand
to somebody all day long, all day long. And oh, my. And you know, our Lord Jesus
Christ, when he is on this earth, he stretched out his hands He
stretched out his hands, but you know what they did? They
nailed him to a tree, nailed him to a tree. But oh my, God
have mercy on us. God help our children. Oh, our blessed Savior, thank
you for your great mercies, great, great mercies given to us in
Christ. Thank you for your precious word.
Oh, how blessed it is, how precious it is, how delightful it is.
Thank you for finding us and making yourself manifest. We
wasn't seeking you, but Lord, you sought us. We didn't manifest
ourselves to you. You manifested yourself to us.
And we're so thankful. We wasn't the people of God till
you made us your people. We didn't know you till you taught
us. We didn't understand till you gave us understanding. We
didn't see till you gave us eyes, and we certainly never heard
until you gave us ears. And Lord, I'm so thankful that
you said your sheep hear your voice. And oh my, thankful that
you gave us ears to hear your voice. Bless these dear saints
as they go their way and the dear children of God that's watching
and listening tonight. Bring glories to yourself through
all of us for Christ's sake. Amen. Amen. Jesus Christ is made
to me all I need, all I need. He alone is all my plea. He is all I need. Wisdom, righteousness, and power
Holiness forevermore. My redemption full and sure. He is all I need. Amen. See you Sunday, God willing.
