with me in Mark chapter 11. Mark chapter 11. Read the first 11 verses and
hopefully, by God's mercy and grace, be able to say a few things
on these verses. And when they came nigh to Jerusalem
unto Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sendeth
forth two of his disciples and saith unto them, go your way
into the village over against you. And as soon as you be entered
into it, you shall find a colt where old Neverman sat, loose
him and bring him. And if any man say unto you,
Why do ye this? Say ye that the Lord hath need
of him, and straightway he will send him here. And they went
their way, and found the coat tied by the door without in a
place where two ways met. And they loosed him. And certain
of them that stood by there said unto them, What do ye loosing
the coat? And they said unto them, even
as Jesus had commanded, and they let him go. And they brought
the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him, and he sat upon
him. And many spread their garments
in the way, and others cut down branches, and up the trees, and
strawed them in the way. And they that went before, and
they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh
in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the kingdom of our
father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord. Hosanna
in the highest. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem
and into the temple, and when he looked round about upon all
things, and now the evening time was come, he went out unto Bethany
with the twelve." Our Father, our Father, our Father,
Our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, our Master, our Lord, our Savior,
the Redeemer, our Prophet, our Priest, our King. Our strength, our help, our hope, our righteousness,
our comfort, our assurance, Indeed, Lord Jesus, you're our
all in all. And I'm grateful, bless your
holy name, that you come into this world to save sinners. Oh,
to save sinners. Lord, I'm so thankful that you
come. to do for us what we could not
possibly ever do for ourselves. We didn't know we were lost until
you found us. We didn't know we were sinners
until you come and made us to know it. We didn't know we had
no strength until you come and showed us our weakness. We didn't
know how blind we were until you come and gave us sight. We
didn't know how dark the darkness we were in until you come and
brought light to us in our darkness. Oh, Lord, I'm so blessed and
so thankful that we can come to you. We can speak to you. And, Lord, we're grateful that
you hear us. And, Lord, we ask for your mercies
today, for your grace today. We ask for your strength today,
not only for me, but for all of us, that you, Lord Jesus,
would come down and be pleased to meet with us here as we endeavor
by our heart and souls and all that's within us to worship you,
to honor you, to preach you, glorify you, exalt you, And Lord
Jesus, for those who have great, great needs, we pray for them. I know there's people in this
congregation that bodies are weak, they have heartaches, and
they have troubles, and they have sorrows, and they have worries. So I pray for them. And Lord,
I pray for this congregation of believers that, Lord, you
would enlarge its tent, that you'd save your people in this
place, and that you'd forgive us of everything that's unlike
you and have mercy upon our lost loved ones. We ask these things
in our blessed Savior's name, amen. Let's stand together as we sing
the hymn of the day in the bulletin. We need to add one word in at
the very end. The last word will be today.
To thy presence we repair, for we
love to worship there. When within the veil we meet
Christ the Lord, our mercy seat Thou through him art reconciled
We through him become thy child. Abba, Father, give us grace in
thy courts. While thy glorious praises sound,
Fudge our lips, unloose our tongues, That our joyful souls may bless
Christ the Lord, our righteousness While we listen to Thy Word Fill
our souls with sovereign love ? Come Thy house when we return
? May our hearts within us burn ? And that evening let us say
We have walked with God today. Be seated. ? Came so far from glory ? ? Came
and dwelt among the holy such as I ? ? You who suffer shame and
celestial disgrace ? ? O God, help me take my place ? Can I
ask myself the question, who am I? Who am I that a king would
bleed and die for? Who am I to be? The answer I may never know Why
he ever loved me so That to an open cause he'd come For who
am I? When I'm reminded of his words,
I'll leave you never. I have truth to give to you like
forever. I wonder what I could have done
to deserve For who am I? Who am I without a king? Who am I that He could break
Not my will, not His will The answer I may never know Why He
came to love me so That to an old broken cross he'd come, for
who am I? That to an old broken cross he'd
come, for who am I? You got your Bibles and got them
opened up to Mark chapter 11. You know, our Lord opened a blind
man's eyes, showed him mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy. And then
they're going up to Jerusalem when it says they're ascending
up to Jerusalem. And on their way up there, our
Lord Jesus And over in Luke, it tells the same story. In Matthew chapter 19, it tells
the same story. Matthew 21, excuse me. And they
come nigh, they're getting close to Jerusalem. They're coming
up to Jerusalem. This is four days before our
Lord Jesus is gonna go to the cross, four days. He's going
to Jerusalem, and once He gets there, He's not leaving. He's
staying there until they do what He told them all that He's going
to do to Him. He told that He'd be betrayed,
He'd be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and that He'd
be killed, and He'd rise the third day. So He's going up to
Jerusalem, and once He gets there, that's four days, He's four days
away from His death. But that's not what's on his
mind. That's not what's on his mind. And what it amounts to
here is the King, the King of Israel, the King of Kings is
going to ride into Jerusalem, and He's going to ride in there
triumphantly, but He's not going to ride on a big white horse.
He's not going to have a bunch of people parading before Him,
shouting, Here He comes! Here He comes! Here comes the
King! No, it's a different way that he comes into Jerusalem.
Now he's a king and he's coming into Jerusalem. And the title
of my message this morning, The Lord Has Need of Him. Now that
to me is a very strange thing to say, that the Lord has need
of anything, but it says the Lord has need of him. And that's
what he said. He said, if any man, down in
verse three, If any man say unto you, why do you this? Say ye
that the Lord hath need of him." That's a very strange thing to
say. It's a very strange thing to me to understand. But I want
to go through this and I'll hopefully show you a few things about our
Lord Jesus Christ going into Jerusalem. And first of all, I want to say
that this is the fulfillment of a prophecy. And before I get
into my message, I want you to turn to Zechariah, Zechariah,
you know, before Matthew, it's Malachi, and then right before
Malachi, Zechariah, and I want you to look in Zechariah chapter
nine and verse nine, because this is what is happening here.
This king is going to come triumphantly. We read about it. They're crying,
Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. But
this over here would be a message of its own, but I hope by the
grace of God that we'll see that it's a fulfillment of this scripture.
Zechariah 9, 9, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. And Zion
represents the church. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, thy king cometh unto
thee. First of all, he's just. And
when he comes, he has salvation. And he's lowly and riding upon
an ass, upon a colt, the foe of an ass. And that's the one
that the Lord hath need of. I want to first of all show you
how our Lord has perfect knowledge of everything. Let s read these
first six verses again. And when they came nigh to Jerusalem
under Bethphagia and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, He sendeth
forth two of his disciples, saith unto them, Go your way into the
village over against you, close to you, and as soon as ye be
entered into it, ye shall find a coat tied, whereon never man
sat. Loose him, and bring him. And
if any man say unto you, why do ye this? Say that the Lord
hath need of him, and straightway he will send him hither. And
they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without,
in a place wherein two ways met. And they loosed him, and certain
of them that stood there with them said unto them, why do ye
loosing the colt? And they said unto him, even
as the Lord commanded them, and they let him go. Now this shows that our Lord
has perfect knowledge. He told them where to go, told
them what they d find when they got there, told them the conversation
that would be had, right down to the very words that were said.
Now what job does our Lord has perfect knowledge? Over in Luke
it says they were ascending up to Jerusalem. and it says there
that He is leading His disciples, our Lord is going before us,
and He went before them, He went before them. Our Lord has perfect
knowledge of everything, and our Lord went before us, He went
before us in every way that He could possibly go before us.
He went before us, and what He s doing is He s fulfilling the
Scriptures. He went before us in every way
possible, and every way that was needful for Him to go before
us, He did. He went before us to suffer,
to suffer God s justice, to suffer God s curse, to suffer death
on our behalf. to suffer betrayal by his friend,
to go unto death, to go to the grave for us, to perfume it,
make it a good place to go for us. He went to the resurrection,
raised again from the dead, and he ascended up to glory. And
to show you that our Lord knows everything, he has perfect knowledge
of everything, I want you to look in Luke 18. Look in Luke
18, I want to show you two things about our Lord knowing everything,
and then I'm going to get into this, if God will enable me. Look what He said here in Luke
18, 31. Look what He says here. Then He took unto Him the twelve,
and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and listen
to this, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning
me, the Son of Man, shall be accomplished. He said everything's
gonna happen just exactly the way it's supposed to happen.
How did he know that? Because he knowed everything
that's gonna happen for him. Now look in John 18, four with
me. 18, 4, look over here in John chapter
18, verse 4. Look what He says here in John
chapter 18, verse 4. He's ascending up to Jerusalem,
He's going to Jerusalem. Why is He going to Jerusalem?
And I'm saying our Lord has perfect knowledge. And verse 4, Jesus
therefore knowing knowing all things that shall come upon him,
went forth, knowing everything that was going to happen to him,
everything how they was going to treat him, everything about
his life, everything about my life and your life and anybody
else's life, our Lord has perfect knowledge And He had perfect
knowledge before He'd come into this world. He knew them before
He ever come into this world. But back over here in our text,
He sent two disciples to Bethphage, and He sent them to get a coat.
And He sent them to get that coat and bring that coat back.
And he told them EXACTLY where this coat would be tied. He said,
You go to such-and-such a place, and we're two ways met. Here's
a rave, here's a wave that meets it. And he said, You go to such-and-such
a place, and you'll find a coat, a coat. And he said, You'll find
it. And he said, Now you loose that
coat, and you bring him to me. And if anybody says unto you,
what are you doing? He said, you tell them that the
Lord hath need of them. And that's exactly what happened.
They went exactly where Christ told them the colt would be.
How did he know that colt was gonna be there? How did he know
it? How did he know the conversation
that they were gonna have? How did he know that they would
ask exactly, what are you doing loosing that colt? And he know
that he said, now you tell them that this is what I want that
coat loose, and I want it brought to me. It's because Lord has
need of him. The only reason he has need of
him is to accomplish the scriptures. I just read it to you in Zechariah
9, and he says the coat, he that the king cometh upon thee riding
upon a coat, a coat. And I'll tell you it happened
just like he said. And I'll tell you our master,
has perfect knowledge of all things and of all people." All
things and all people. You know, we've seen the signs.
Somebody mentioned it. just a little while ago up here
on this congregation up here. It had a sign on it, you know.
Will anybody be in heaven because of you? No! No, no, no! Not one soul will be in heaven
because of me! Not one soul will be in HELL
because of me, or you or anything else! I tell you, we re in the
hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, and He knows all things, and
He knows everything about every person that s ever been born.
Huh? Oh my! He has perfect knowledge
of all people, He has perfect knowledge of all events, everything
that's ever happened, everything that ever WILL happen, everything
that HAS happened ever WILL happen in my life, your life, or anybody
else's life, He KNOWS it! You know why He knows it? Because
He DECREED it! He PURPOSED it! You see, we talk
about, men talk about decrees. There's only one decree. And
God put everything in the hands of His blessed Son. And I tell
you what, you know what He said? He declared the end from the
beginning. Everything that was gonna happen,
He said, I'm gonna tell you exactly how the end's gonna be. And I'm
gonna tell you who's gonna control everything. My Son's gonna control
everything. My Son has all power in heaven
and earth. And I tell you what, not only
does he know all events, I'm thankful that I don't. Oh,
I'm so grateful that I don't. I'm so grateful that I don't
know people the way he knows them. And I'm so thankful that
I don't know what's going to happen the way he does. And I'm
so thankful because everything that happens in this world is
in His providence. And what providence means, that
He orders all things according to His own will and pleasure.
I love it being like that. I really love it being like that. He's got the hairs of our head
numbered. He numbers the hairs of our head.
Now, do you reckon that anybody that can number the hairs of
your head would not order all things according to his own will
and pleasure and purpose? What is his will and purpose?
It's to save sinners, to bring glory to himself, and to save,
and I mean save sinners, bonafide sinners, God-made sinners, Holy
Ghost-made sinners. And it's a rare thing to find
a sinner. I mean, it's hard to find a sinner. The only sinner I've ever met,
the only sinners I've ever met is people that God already saved. You know why you're not saved?
You know why Christ hasn't done nothing for you? Because you
ain't a sinner. You don't have sin in your heart.
You don't have sin in your mind. You don't have sin in your soul. You don't have sins that you've
committed. And oh, I tell you, I'm so thankful. I tell you, he knows all things,
all events. You know, you go through the,
you just look up all the things that he knew. Just get your concordance
down, look. You know how many times it says
the Lord knew their thoughts? Somebody would, you know, he'd
be doing something, somebody would think. And Jesus, knowing
their thoughts, said unto him. That's what, that's the mysterious
thing about preaching. You know, I don't know anybody's
thoughts in this building. I really don't. And sometimes
you'll think about something, you'll be in a situation or something
be going on in your life, and just as sure as you'll show up
at a service, God will speak to you and give you just exactly
what you need to hear. You know why? Because He knows.
He knows your mind. He knows your hearts. He knows
your thoughts. And now you know, David said, not only does he
know your thoughts, but he knows your thoughts are far off. What
does that mean? Before that thought ever gets there, he knows it.
He knows it's on its way. He knows what it's gonna be.
And he knows how long it's gonna stay there. And I'll tell you what, sometimes
I say, Lord, I wish you'd keep them thoughts away from me. And
when a certain thoughts go through your mind, say, oh God, please
forgive me letting that thought get into my mind. Do you ever
go through that? Oh my. And not only that, you
gotta see this. Look over in John chapter two.
You gotta see this. I'm gonna bring a message on
this one of these days soon. In John two and verse 24 and
25, look what he says. Look what he says, he knew their
thoughts. John 2.24, but Jesus did not
commit himself unto them because he knew all men. And he didn't need anybody should
testify of man. Watch what it says here, for
he knew what was in man. Why ain't you going to commit
yourself to them, Lord? Because they're unstable. The only time I'm going to commit
myself to any man is when I go to the cross, and then I'm going
to commit myself to men. I'm going to commit my soul to
God, and I'm going to commit myself to men. You know why He
did not commit Himself to men? He said, that fellow right there,
They ain't gonna treat me right. They're not gonna do anything.
They're gonna say, I believe you. And then they're gonna leave.
Hey God, I trust you, but I'm gonna quit. I'm gonna go through,
I'm gonna give everything I got to you. And then the next thing
you know, they walk away from it. Walk away from it. And I tell you what, I tell you
something else he knew but from the beginning, back over in our
text. He says in John chapter 64, he says this. Jesus knowing who would not believe
in Him and also who should betray Him. Knowing all who would not
believe. That was when all those people
were following Him and thousands turned around and walked away.
He said He knew them that would not believe. And He also knew
who should betray Him. And then that's why He asked
them, are you also going to go away? Y'all so gonna go away? He knew from the beginning, and
this is a blessed thought, that He knew us from the beginning. Before He ever put a star in
the heavens, before He ever gave off the sun
gave its light and the moon gave its light, before a cloud ever
went across the sky, before a fly is ever created
in this world, before a death to speck, wherever it was, God
put our names in the Lamb's Book of Life. Oh, He knew from the beginning. And Jesus Christ is not only
man, not only man, perfect man, sinless man, holy man, But Paul
said, He's God over all, blessed forever. Amen. And I'll tell you what, our Savior's
knowledge, having this perfect knowledge, ought to awaken sinners
to flee to Him, ought to do that. You know, if He knows them, and
He knows everything they do, Knows everything they do. Look
over at Job chapter 34. Sometimes, every once in a while,
I'll remember something I'd done years when I was a kid or when
I was a young man, and I'll just grieve over it. Abominable things. But our Lord knew all that I
was and everything that I would do. And He saved me anyway. Saved me anyway. And I'm glad nobody knows but
Him. And I'm glad He put them all away. I really am. Look what
he says, he knows all that men do, all that the wicked do. Look what he said in Job 34,
21, For his eyes are upon the ways
of men, and he seeth all his goings. Where are you going? God knows Where are you going? God knows. Look what else He says, There
is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity
may hide themselves. Where are you going to hide?
Where are you going to hide? You know, He knows, and you know,
this ought to awaken sinners to flee to Him. It ought to. He knows the thoughts and the
intents of the hearts of his enemies." He knew the intents
and hearts of his enemies. He knew who his enemies are. And I'll tell you something,
men may deceive other people all their lives. Men may deceive other people
all their lives. You know, I don't know how many
times you think, boy, I thought I knew them, but boy, I just
couldn't hardly, I couldn't, that's, I thought I really knew
them, but I don't reckon I knew them at all. You ever been in that situation?
You really thought you knew somebody and come to find out they're
not who I thought they were? Oh my. Oh, man may deceive somebody
else. You may deceive by the way you
look, by the way you act, by the way you talk, by your conversation,
by where you go. And you may think that you're
doing something in secret. You may think you're doing something
in the darkness. You may think you're doing something
nobody else sees and nobody else knows what's going on. And you
may think nobody may never find out. But God knows exactly who
you are and what you're doing. And He's keeping track of everybody. You know what He said? Because
of the gospel, He's going to judge the heart, the secrets,
the secrets, the secrets of men's hearts in the day of judgment. I thank God He's done judged
this one. And I thank God that Christ bore that judgment for
me. It'd be awful to have to face God with what's in here
without Christ. Oh my. I tell you, Christ is
never deceived. Never, never, never deceived.
And the thought, and oh, what a blessed thought this is. The
thought of our Lord's perfect knowledge is a great, great comfort
and assurance to His people. You know that, that's a great
comfort and assurance to His people. It really is. Oh my. You know, Paul says, since you
know God, and then he said, rather are known of God. You know God,
but he said, since you know God, but really why you know God is
because you're known of God. You're known of God. You see,
this is what's so comforting and assuring to His people. He sees us, He really, really
sees us. He knows us, He knows us. He knows every trial, every trial. Every trial, every tribulation
that He sends. He knows our burdens, He knows
our burdens. He knows sometimes our burdens
get so heavy and he lays them on us that they bring us to our
knees. And that's why he puts them on us, to put us on our
knees. He knows our sighs, our sighs. You wake up at night and you
sigh. I sighed half a dozen times coming
to service this morning. Oh, sigh. And he knows our tears. He knows
every tear. Tears of sorrow, tears of joy,
tears of thanks. He knows all our tears. He knows
us. Oh, how he knows us. I'm so grateful he knows me. He knows our hearts. He knows
our hearts. And he knows that his people
love him. He knows who loves him. He knows. He said, Simon Peter, do you love
me, Lord thou knowest? And he knows who needs him. He
knows who needs him. And he also knows who wants him,
who knows who wants him. Ain't you grateful that the scripture
says, the Lord is my shepherd? The Lord is my shepherd, I shall
not want. Oh, the Lord's my shepherd, my
shepherd. And he said, having loved his
own, having loved his own. You know how long he loved him? to the very end, to the very
end. And that's when the love really
starts for us when we get to that. Oh my. He identified with us. He identified
with us, come into this world and identified with us. Now as a man, he dwells in glory. And as a man, And as our high
priest and as our intercessor, he even right now, right now,
is touched with the feelings of our infirmities, right now,
right now, right now. Oh, and then look what he said
here now. They went and got this coat,
and I just told you about the Lord's perfect knowledge, And
it says, the Lord hath need of him. You know, when he told them
there, he says, verse three, if any man say, why do you this?
Say, the Lord hath need of him. Before he can be brought to our
Lord, you know what has to happen to him? He has to be loosed. You got to be loosed. Oh, you belong to somebody else.
Why are you taking him? The Lord needs you. The Lord
needs you. He has to be loosed. He has to
be loosed. And oh my, loose him. Loose him
and bring him to me. And that's what they said in
verse four, in the last part of verse four, and they loose
him. And they lose him. And they lose him. Oh, before
he can be brought to our Lord, he must be loosed. And what humility,
what humility of our master to need anything, to need anything. But I say, you know why it necessitated
him, needed him? That the scriptures might be
fulfilled. That's the only reason that's
in there. God don't need anything. He said, if I was hungry, I wouldn't
ask you. The cattle on a thousand hills
belongs to me. The earth is the Lord's in the
fullness thereof. But why did he say the Lord hath
need of him? To fulfill what? To fulfill a
prophecy made hundreds and hundreds of years before Christ came into
this world. Now you read there where Zechariah
said, thy king cometh unto thee riding on a colt. Well, here's
that colt. And what is he doing? He's a
just man. He's a holy man. He's a sinful
man, sinless man. And not only that, but he's bringing
salvation with him. Having salvation with him, having
salvation with him. Oh, and I tell you something
else, what our Lord needs, you know what He does? He gets it. Why? Because the Bible says He
will. And what He wants and what He
needs, He gets. And look what it says in verse
7. And they brought the coat to
Jesus. He said, go get him and bring
him to me. Don't take him no place else.
You get him and you walk. You know, you ever seen a colt?
Most colts are wild. They're wild as they can be.
Especially a donkey. And here they come, they get
this thing, and he walks along like a little old dog. Huh? Then he never bucked, he never
pulled, he never tugged. You know why? because he belonged
to the Lord. You ain't gonna tug and you ain't
gonna pull either, are you? You're not gonna, no, no. Ain't you glad he's got the reins
of the heart? Oh my. And they brought him to
the Lord Jesus Christ. And now look what happens. And
oh my, the humility of our Lord to need anything that is written
of him. Look at the humility of his disciples.
And they brought the cold to Jesus and cast their garments
on him. First thing they did, they said,
Lord, you can't sit on that thing like he is. They took off their
clothes, took off their clothes, and put them over that, put them
over that cold, laid them over that cold, took off some of their
clothes. Lord, we don't want you sitting on that thing like,
they put their clothes on him. And our Lord sat down on him,
sat down on him. And oh my, they cast their garments
on him. And then look what it says, he
sat upon him. They cast their garments. And look what else
it says there. And verse eight, and many spread their garments
in the way. They took their clothes off and
put them in front of it. Put them in front of our clothes
or nothing fit but the Lord to walk on. These old filthy garments,
just put them down on the ground. That's all they're fit for. Throw
them on the ground and let Christ walk over them. They're not fit
to wear in His presence. And oh my, they began to spread
their garments in the way. And some went along and started
cutting tree limbs off. Throw them in the way. Throw
them in the way. What kind of a possession would
a king like that get? Garments, limbs, Throw it in
his way. Oh, they wasn't throwing roses.
They wasn't throwing petals, and they wasn't hollering, oh
no. Listen to what they said now.
And strawed them in the way, oh my. Just to let the coven,
and for him to trample on them as he went. And look what it
says now. And they that went before, And
I want you to notice this first. First of all, look up here and
it says in verse two, now this is the first thing, go over your
way into the village against you and as soon as you enter
in, find a coat, a coat tied, and listen to this, where on
every man sat. The only person that ever sat on this was the
Lord Jesus Christ. And then look what it says in
verse seven, and Jesus sat on him. That cult was created and put
there for one reason, for Christ to sit on him and fulfill the
scriptures. I want my new details to Zilorn
get into. No man ever sat on him. And our
Lord Jesus Christ, He came through the womb of a woman who knew
not a man. He was laid, and no man ever
sat on Him. And our Lord, you're talking
about a man, no man ever sat on Him but Christ. He came through
the womb of a woman and knew not a man. He was laid in a tomb
that was never ever used before. Every detail of our Lord's life
was perfect, and every detail was prophesied of how He'd come,
what He'd live, what He'd be here, and how He'd leave, every
detail. And then look what it says now
in verse 9. And they that went before, And they that followed, there's
people going in front of them, throwing branches at the ground,
throwing their clothes in the way. There's going before doing
that. And then there's people following
him. And they was crying. They was crying, making it loud,
loud. They said over there with loud
voices. They said, Hosanna. You know
what that means? Praise be unto the Lord. Blessed
be God. That's what that means. And listen
to what he says here. Blessed. Blessed is he that cometh
in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the kingdom of our
father, David, that cometh in the name of the Lord. Hosanna
in the highest. Oh, it is said over in Luke,
said a whole multitude of disciples began to rejoice and praise the
Lord. And with a loud voice, with a
loud voice, And oh, I want you, let me show you this. I want
you to see this. I think it's in Luke chapter
19. I think that's where it's at.
I wanna look at Luke chapter 19. Look what it says over here,
talking about Christ. Yeah, this is it, yeah. And that,
verse 37. Luke 19, 37, and when he was
come nigh, even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole
multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise the Lord,
praise God with a loud voice, and listen to this, for all the
mighty works they had seen. You see, if you know what mighty
works did they see, Well, they just saw Bartimaeus get sight,
a blind man receive his sight. They saw lame men walk. They
saw deaf men hear. They saw dead men raised. They saw lepers cleansed. They saw multitudes healed. They saw the poor have the gospel
preached to them. They saw people with a broken
heart shown compassion. And people that were hungry,
he fed them. And he sat down and taught his
disciples. May we all rejoice in our Lord
Jesus Christ. May we all praise God for what
we have seen. And I'm the mightiest work that
God did as far as I'm concerned. I was dead, I live. I was blind,
I see. I was lame, I couldn't walk.
I was ungodly, now I'm righteous. I was without strength, oh my. Praise God, rejoice with
God, praise God for all He does. And then it says, He that cometh
in the name of the Lord. You know, he came in God's name.
What did he come in God's name? He said, Father, I finished the
work you sent me to do. And I tell you, he came to do
a work. He was Jehovah's righteous servant. And I tell you what, he came
in the name of the Lord. He is the father of David. He had a kingdom on this earth,
and he has a kingdom in heaven. And I tell you what, in everything
that happens, oh, He comes in the name of the Lord, and He
brings with Him POWER, He brings with Him GLORY, He brings with
Him RIGHTS, He brings with Him a KINGDOM, and He says, THE KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN. Don't come with observation,
but it's within you, He said. And then they said, GLORIANT,
and then look what He says, IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, HOSANNA
IN THE HIGHEST. Hosanna in the highest. And oh
my, may we give glory, the highest glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. He came from the highest glory,
and came to this old sorry, sorry earth, and you know what? He
returned to glory. Same glory he come from, he went
back. And he went back. Our blessed Savior. Human voice, human tongue, human
mind, human heart, all that is in a man cannot possibly praise
and honor and glorify you, what you're worthy of. We don't even
touch the hem of the garment when it comes to giving you the
glory and the praise and the honor. and exalt you as much
as you ought to be exalted, describe you as you ought to be described.
But oh Lord, I'm so grateful and so thankful for what I've
seen, for what you've taught us, for the eyes you've given
us to see, for the heart you've given us to believe. Oh, I bless you for it. Oh Lord, I pray that you and
your sovereign mercy open the heart today that you put seed
in somebody's heart, maybe it brought forth fruit today, and
they'll want to confess their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
want to tell what Christ has done for them, want to tell how
their heart's been opened, how that they see things they've
never seen, heard words they've never heard, And oh Lord, bring glory to yourself
in doing that, for Christ's sake, amen, amen. It's Duke 318 in
our hymnal, and you'll be at liberty to go. 318. Stand with me, we'll sing this and
you'll be at liberty to go. I need Thee every hour, most
gracious Lord. No tender voice like Thine can
peace afford. I need Thee, oh, I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee Oh, bless me now, my Savior I come to Thee I need Thee every
