Good evening. Long time no see. Let's all stand together and
we'll sing hymn number 295. 295. He leadeth me, O blessed thought,
O words with heavenly comfort brought. What e'er I do, where'er
I be, still tis God's hand that leadeth me. He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His own hand He leadeth me. His faithful follower I would
be, For by His hand He leadeth me. Sometimes mid scenes of deepest
gloom Sometimes where Eden's flowers bloom By water still
or troubled sea Still tis his hand that pleaded me He leadeth
me, He leadeth me By His own hand He leadeth me His faithful
follower I would be For by His hand He leadeth me Lord, I would
clasp thy hand in mine, Nor ever murmur nor repine, Content whatever
lot I see, Since tis my God that leadeth me. He leadeth me, he
leadeth me By his own hand he leadeth me His faithful follower
I would be For by his hand he leadeth me And when my task on
earth is done, With by thy grace the victory sworn, In death's
cold wave I will not flee. Since God through Jordan leadeth
me He leadeth me, He leadeth me By His own hand He leadeth
me His faithful father I would be Be seated we'll sing hymn

Matthew chapter 12 for our message this evening. Matthew chapter
12. We're going to start having a,
every first Sunday of the month, going to start having a meal
here at the church. February the 1st, 4th will be our first
one. There's a sign up sheet back there on the table. We'll have a wonderful time,
always have plenty to eat. Let's start in verse 10, and read down to verse 21. And behold, there was a man which
had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is
it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days, that they might have to
accuse him? And he said unto them, What man
shall there be among you that shall have one sheep, and if
it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on
it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better
than a sheep? Wherefore is it lawful to do
well on the Sabbath days? Then saith he to the man, Stretch
forth thine hand, and he stretched it forth, and it was whole like
as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and
held a council against him, how they might destroy him. But when
Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from this, and a great multitude
followed him, and he healed them all, and charged them that they
should not make him known, that it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Esaias, or Isaiah, the prophet, saying, Behold my
servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is
well pleased. I will pour my Spirit upon him,
and he shall show judgment. to Gentiles, and he shall not
strive, nor cry, nor shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed shall he not break, smoking flax shall he not quench,
till he send forth judgment unto victory, and in his name shall
the Gentiles trust." Our blessed, immutable, glorious
God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are the same today,

time to meet together this side of eternity. to meet with the
children of God, to open your blessed book, to read from it,
to hopefully say something from it that would be a blessing,
an encouragement that would strengthen these dear saints. And oh Lord,

meet the needs of their hearts, and we pray for those who are
going through great fight of affliction, who are very weary,

crown Him When our journey is complete Precious name, oh how
sweet Hope of earth and joy of heaven Precious name, oh how
sweet Hope of earth and joy of heaven. I want to talk tonight, God willing,
about the character of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the verses
that I read to you We have a beautiful portrait of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and when we look in the Scriptures, we have our Master set forth
clearly and plainly. He Himself said, ?Search the
Scriptures.? You search them! You THINK you have eternal life
there, but you don?t have it unless you find Me, because the
Scriptures talk about Me and testify of Me. And we're not
left, and I thank God we're not, we're not left to our own understanding.
We're not left to assume or presume who He is or what His character
is like. You know, we've been taught by
God's grace, we've been taught by the Holy Ghost, we can DISTINCTLY
see the Lord Jesus Christ. There were some Greeks come to
see Philip one time and said, Sirs, we would see Jesus. I WOULD
TOO! I WOULD TOO! I WANT TO SEE HIM
TOO! And I HOPEFULLY, HOPEFULLY, BY
GOD'S GRACE WE CAN SEE HIM TONIGHT. And I want you to remember now,
He had just healed a man, and the Pharisees didn't like it
because He had done it on the Sabbath. The first thing THEY
were interested in, did He do it lawfully? Is this lawful?
And our Lord gave them, well, if you had a sheep and he was
in the ditch and he fell in a pit, wouldn't you go pick that sheep
up? So that missed man here is a heapsight more important than
that sheep, and so he healed the man and they got upset about
him, and they decided they was going to take counsel against
him. And then it said in verse 17,
this is what it says about him and how he reacts to things that
happen. And I want to go, this is the
character of our Lord Jesus Christ. that it might be fulfilled, that
they should not make him known, that it might be fulfilled, which
was spoken by Isaiah, or Isaiah the prophet. And he said, Behold
my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is
well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him,
and he shall show judgment unto the Gentiles. The first thing
we see about our Savior is He's the Chosen One. Isaiah 42, you
keep this and look in Isaiah 42. You know, I think you've
seen this many times over the years, and why would God call
Christ His elect, His chosen? Why would God do that? When He
calls us His elect, He calls us His chosen, but what does
He mean when God calls Christ His elect? Well, the old hymn
writer says, you know, He was God's first elect and we were
chosen in Him. And the Lord Jesus Christ, it
says in verse one of chapter 42 of Isaiah, Behold my servant,
whom I uphold, mine elect, and whom my soul delighteth. I put
my spirit upon him. He shall bring forth fruit to
the Gentiles. And this, everything that he
says here is said over here in Matthew. But there's one thing
that he doesn't say over there, and that's in verse four. He
shall not fail nor be discouraged. He will not fail. So why does
God call him His elect? My servant, whom I have chosen.
What was God's elect? He said, Behold, I lay in Zion
for a foundation of tridestone, an elect precious, elect stone,
a chosen stone. Now what would God be, why would
He say Christ was His elect? Well, Christ was chosen to do
every office that He had. EVERYTHING THAT HE ACCOMPLISHED,
EVERYTHING THAT HE DID, EVERY WORD THAT HE SAID, EVERY OFFICE
THAT HE HELD, every title that He held, God CHOSE Him to that
office. God CHOSE Him and made Him His
elect to be the head over all the rest of the elect. He was
going to be their Savior, He s going to be their Lord, He
s going to be their Master, He s going to be their Redeemer,
He s going to be their Caller, He s going to be their Salvation,
He s going to be their Righteousness, He s going to be their Justification,
God s going to make Him to be EVERYTHING to us. And He said
He chose him to be the Savior of a chosen people. God's first
elect and we're chosen in Him. And I'll tell you what, God chose
him before the world ever began. Let me show you another scripture
in Proverbs chapter eight. I know you've seen this too,
but oh my, we ain't looked at it in a while. Proverbs chapter
eight about our Master. Oh my, when was He chosen? Before
the world ever was. tells us here He s chosen to
be the Lamb, chosen to be our substitute, chosen to be our
sacrifice, chosen to be our sin offering, chosen to be the Lamb
that was slain, chosen to be Lord of lords and King of kings.
But look what it said here in Proverbs chapter 8 and verse
22, The Lord possessed me in the
beginning of His way before His works of old. Now, this is what
He s talking about. I was set up from everlasting,
from the beginning, wherever the earth was. When there was
no depth, I was brought forth. When there were no mountains
abounding, before the mountains were settled, before the hills
brought forth, while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the
fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the earth, when
he prepared the heavens, I was there. When he set a compass
upon the face of the deaf, when he established the clouds of
blood, when he strengthened the fountains of the deep, I was
by him, I was brought up with him, and I was daily his delight. So Christ was brought up from
everlasting to everlasting. Our Lord Jesus said, I was daily
His delight. Delight. Oh, not only is He the
chosen one, back over here in Matthew 12, God's elect. He said,
behold, my servant, whom I'm chosen. And here's the second
thing about our Lord Jesus Christ and His blessed character and
a portrait of Him. He said, behold, my servant.
He was a servant. He was a servant. That s the
thing, you know, it s our Lord Jesus Christ, that s one thing
He did. He was a servant. He even told
us who was the greatest would be the servant. Well, He was
the greatest! He was the greatest that s ever
been! He s the Greatest, High and Holy One, Harmless, Undefiled,
Separate from sinners. But God said, This is My servant.
This is the servant. Over in Isaiah 42 it said He
was Jehovah s RIGHTEOUS Everything He did was righteous, and everything
that He did was right. And so He was my servant. He
is the servant. Who could better ever serve the
Lord God of heaven and earth than His own blessed Son? That
He was His servant, His righteous servant. He could not fail. Oh my, we're servants and we
fail. But God could not fail. Christ
could not fail. He could not even be discouraged. He was never discouraged. Even
when He went to the cross, He said, for the joy that was set
before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame. Oh my, I
behold my servant. Oh my. You know what our Lord,
the first words that our Lord spoke, you know what they were?
12 years old, you know what they were? They went to Jerusalem
for the times of the feast, and his mother and daddy left, and
they thought that he was with his kinfolks, and they went a
day's journey and come back and found him sitting, 12 years old,
amongst a bunch of doctors and lawyers and a bunch of rabbis,
and he was sitting there talking with them. And his mother come
up and said, We've sought you, sorry. You know what the first
words he said out of his mouth in the Scriptures? Wished you
not that I be about my father's business. That's the first words
he said, 12 years old. Don't you know, don't you understand
that I've got my father's business to do? And I'm about my father's
business when he is 12 years old. And oh my. And at his final
hours, he said, Father, I FINISHED THE WORK THAT YOU GAVE ME TO
DO. NOW GLORIFY THOU ME WITH THE GLORY THAT I HAD WITH YOU
BEFORE THE WORLD EVER WAS. OH, HE DELIGHTED TO DO HIS FATHER'S
WILL. HE WAS OBEDIENT, THE SCRIPTURES
TELL US, EVEN UNTO DEATH. HIS LOVE FOR HIS FATHER'S WILL,
HIS LOVE FOR HIS ELECT PEOPLE WAS STRONGER THAN DEATH. ECCLESIASTES
SAYS THIS, HE SAID, JEALOUSY IS CRUELER THAN THE GRAVE. and
love is stronger than death. And thy Lord Jesus Christ's love
was stronger than death. Death couldn't hold Him because
of the love that He had for His Father, and the love that He
had for His elect, and because of His obedience even unto death,
the death of the cross. He was obedient unto death. And
then look what else it says about Him here in verse chapter 12.
Not only my beloved servant whom I've chosen, but look what else
it says about Him. My beloved. My beloved one. And whom my soul is well pleased.
This is my beloved. My beloved, that's what God calls
him, my beloved. My beloved and whom my soul is
well pleased. This business of my beloved.
When He says He's well-pleased, that means that He's SATISFIED,
SATISFIED! He's so SATISFIED, so HONORED
His Father, so SATISFIED, DELIGHTED His Father, that He's so, that
God said, THIS IS MY BELOVED ONE! God so loved the world that
He gave His ONLY, ONLY BEGOTTEN SON! That's what He gave. And oh, our Lord was Jehovah's
Servant. And what an assurance, what a
consolation for us that God calls Him, My Beloved. And let me show
you something in Ephesians chapter 1. Keep Matthew now. Look in
Ephesians 1, 6. Ephesians 1, 6. You know, our Lord was Jehovah's
Servant and then He made in the likeness of sinful flesh. But
oh, my, as a man, as a man, he was well-pleasing to God Almighty. But oh, my, look what it says
here in verse 6 of Ephesians 1, To the praise of the glory
of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted, whereat? In the Beloved. He made us accepted in the beloved. Let me show you what else over
in Colossians. I just thought about this this
evening, you know, on the way up here, a little before on the
way up here. But look what it says here in Colossians chapter
one and verse 12, talking about his beloved boy. You know, God
said, this is my beloved son. Listen to him, hear him, follow
him, delight in him. rejoice in Him, trust in Him. But look what it said here, Colossians
112, giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet, or fit,
able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, who hath
delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated
us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Now you look in the margin,
look what it says, the Son of His love He hath translated us
into the kingdom of the Son of His love." The Son of His love. Oh, my. He was the beloved. Well, I got
nine, so I'm going to hurry on with them. I've done three, but
let me give you the fourth one. Not only back over here in Matthew
chapter 12. BEHOLD MY SERVANT, MY ELECT ONE, MY BELOVED, IN
WHOM MY SOUL IS WELL-PLEASED, SATISFIED WITH HIM, DELIGHTS
IN HIM, MY SOUL IS PLEASED WITH HIM IN EVERYTHING HE'S EVER SAID
AND DONE." Then look what he said, He's the Anointed One,
I will put my Spirit upon Him, I'll put my Spirit upon Him.
So He was the Anointed One. John 3.34 says this, that God
gave Him the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, without measure. Everybody else has the Spirit
by measure. You know, every prophet, the
Holy Spirit would come upon them and use them, and then he would
depart. and you know, they come upon them. But when our Lord
Jesus Christ, when He was baptized and the Holy Spirit come down
in the form of a dove and lit on Him, the Lord Jesus Christ,
God said He gave Him the Spirit without any measure. God gave
Him, I mean, you know, the Holy Ghost, He was FULL of the Holy
The Spirit of God was full, He was FULL of it, and it NEVER
ever departed Him. In fact, He said, when I go away,
when I go away, when my bodily presence is not with you anymore,
when you're not going to be able to sit at My feet, when you're
not going to be able to hear Me teach and hear Me preach and
enjoy My fellowship, He said, Well, I'll tell you what I'm
going to do. He said, I'm going to pray that the Father will
send you another Comforter. I'm not going to leave you like
you're a bunch of orphans. I'm going to send another Comforter.
And when He has come, guess what He's going to do? He's going
to take the things of mine, take the things of mine and show them
unto you. That's the first thing He's going
to do. That's the first thing He's going to do. And oh my,
the Spirit ascended on Him as a dove. And you know, when it
talks about the Holy Spirit being put upon the Lord Jesus Christ,
and God said He sealed Him. He sealed Him. You know, He said
He sealed Him to this work. Sealed Him. And He sealed Him
there to a work. And I tell you, the Spirit of
God was upon Him. And that's why the devils, when
the devils even come and spoke to Him, said, we know who you
are. We know exactly who you are. You're the Holy One of God. You're the Holy One of God. You
got the power. Don't torment us before our time.
They understood that He had the power. The power to send them
to hell. He had the power. He had the
power to raise the dead. He had the power to cleanse lepers. He had the power to do everything
that needed to be done because he had the spirit without measure.
And then God sealed him. And you know what a seal means?
By him God the Father, him God the Father sealed. And a seal
means that it's to identify. It's to identify. Every state's
got a seal. People have seals. The kings
used to have seals and they used their ring as a seal. Well, God
sealed him to identify him. This is my beloved son. This
is my anointed. This is my elect. This is my
servant. And God not only sealed, identified them, but approved
them. When you put a seal on something, that means you approve
it. The good housekeeping seal of approval. God SEALED him to
approve of him and let everybody know that this is the only one
I DO approve of. And the third reason why he was
sealed, to give him all the honor. to give Him all the honor, that
He gets all the glory. God's gonna bless Him. And oh
my, the Spirit's been upon Him. That's why our Lord Jesus Christ,
the first, when He entered into His ministry, He quoted from
Isaiah 61, the Spirit of the Lord hath anointed me. That's
the first thing He said, the Spirit of the Lord hath anointed
me. What did He anoint you for? To preach the gospel. Who you
gonna preach it to? To the poor. Who you gonna preach
to? The lame. Who you gonna preach
it to? To the captive. Who you gonna
preach it to? To the blind. People that ain't
got no help or no hope. He said, I'm the one. Oh my. So he's the anointed one. Oh God bless him. I'll put my
spirit upon him. And then let me tell you this.
He's the REVEALING one, He's the only one that can reveal
some things. Look what it said here again, not only after I
put my Spirit upon Him there in verse 18, He said, He shall
show JUDGEMENT unto the Gentiles. Now that word JUDGEMENT means
that to PASS JUDGEMENT, that judgment's left up to Him as
to what will be done for anybody in any situation or circumstance. He shall show JUDGEMENT. And
this business of judgment also means truth. And truth is only
made known through Him, and by Him, and because of Him, He is
the truth. Now I want to show you something.
Look back up here in Matthew 11. Look in verse 25. Just right back here in chapter
11, verse 25. At that time Jesus answered and
said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because
Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast
revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father, for it seemed
good in Thy sight. And all things," listen to this
now, all things, are delivered unto me and my Father. What does
that mean? Everything that God does in this
world He put in the hands of His Son. And no man knows the
Son. Nobody knows who He is but the
Father. Neither knows any man the Father
save the Son. And listen to this, He to whomsoever
the Son will reveal Him. So since I'm the revelation and
I'm the one that knows who's who, come unto me. Nobody else
can let you know. Nobody else can reveal God. Nobody
else can reveal the Son. Nobody else can do it. And oh
my, and I want you to see in John 9, I want you to see this. I hope I'm not taking too long.
Look here in John 9, down in verse 39. You know, He shall show judgment. Our Lord
said, All judgment is committed unto the Son. And look what He
said in verse 39, John 9, 39. And Jesus said, For judgment
I am come into this world, that they which see not, those that
are blind, that see not, might see. If you say, Boy, Lord, I
just, I had the hardest time seeing things, understand that.
If you admit that you ain't got all the answers, you admit that
you don't have, know what God's doing and you don't know who
God is, and you admit to, said, I'm blind, Lord, and I can't
see. And that's what he says. I've come that they which see
not might see. If you're blind, said, I can
give you some sight. And then look what he said. And they which
see, They that see say, I see. Oh, I got it. You don't have
to teach me nothing. I've been in church all my life.
I've read the Bible. Oh, I've prayed, done all these
things. And our Lord said that they that see that I'm going
to make them blind as a bat. You go ahead and talk about how
much you know and how much you've accomplished and what you've
done for God. And God said, I'll leave you blind. But if you know
that you can't see nothing without me, I'll let you sight. I'll
give you a sight. And some of the, this is what
they said. And some of the Pharisees, which were with him, heard these
words and said unto him, are we blind also? Oh, a blind man don't ask if
he's blind. He knows he is. Look what He
said, Jesus said unto them, If you were blind, if you were really
blind, you should have no sin. But now you say, We see. I'm
going to leave you in your sin. I'm going to leave you in your
sin. Oh, my! He s the judge as to what men
see, what men hear, what men learn, and what men know. He
s the one that s going to be the one to either give you sight
or leave you blind. It s up to Him. And oh my, look
here back over here in Matthew. I love this right here. This
is such a blessing to me. In verse 19, He s the lowly one. He shall not strive nor cry,
neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. He's the
lowly one. He shall not cry, strive nor
cry. You know, Peter said, He committed
himself unto him that judgeth righteously. Now, he had committed
himself unto God. And let me ask you this, what
would he strive about? If he had to strive, what would
he strive for? Would he strive for perfection?
He's already perfect. Would he strive for power? He's
already powerful. Would he strive for righteousness?
He's the only one righteous. Why would he strive for it? And
why would he cry? Why would he stand in the street
and cry? Why would he cry out, look at me, look at me? I'm accomplishing
something, I'm going somewhere, I got things to do, I got fish
to fry. No, he never did strive. Why
would he ever strive after me? Somebody s got everything, what
would he strive for? He says, You strive to enter
in, but he don t strive, and he don t cry, he don t holler
out in the streets, Look at me, look at me, look at me! He never
once done that. Oh, my! And I tell you, he never,
he was, oh, my! He never sought the favor of
man for his own sake. Never ever sought the favor of
man. He never. Herod said, I want
to see him. I want to hear from him. That
would impress him. Well, I'm going to run over to
him. Well, Herod wants to see me. I believe I'll go over to
him. He's a king, you know. Our Lord ignored him. Go tell that
fox. That's what he called him. Go tell that fox. He didn't care
about Herod. He didn t care about the high
priest. He didn t care about any of those, but he never sought
the favor of a man. Nobody impressed him. The only
thing that impressed him was people that were sick, weak,
lame, helpless, lepers, dead people, sinners. That s the only people that he
was interested in. Oh, my! He never, ever, Went
after anybody else. Glorify me, Father, with the
glory that I had with you before the world ever was. Our Lord
Jesus Christ said, Any man that seeks his own glory is not of
God. He said, A man wants to honor
one another, but he said, Thee that seeketh the honor from God.
He said, That's me, I'm the only one that does that. The only
one who does that. And then look what it says here
about our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, you re not going to hear
His voice in the streets crying out and hollering, Look at me,
see what I m accomplishing. No, no. And then look what it
says. You re talking about sympathizing,
caring. Blessed one. He said, A bruised
reed, verse 20, shall he not break, and smoking fletch shall
he not quench, till he sends forth judgment unto victory.
You know, everybody knows what a reed is. A reed is something
that grows up around water, things like that. And if you step on
it, it's bruised. And you know, you bruise it a
little bit and you can take it and break it real easy. He said,
you know, I've got some, I've got some children's like a bruised
reed. They've been stepped on. They've been bruised. They've
been mangled. They've been beaten. They've
been broken. He said, He said, I'm not gonna,
he said, I'm not gonna break that bruised reed. I'm gonna
be careful of that bruised reed. I'm gonna take care of that reed
that's been so bruised, so I won't, I won't ever break it. Oh, sometimes
you think you get so stressed and you get so down, you get
so discouraged, you get in such a turmoil in your own heart and
soul, you think, Lord, I'm gonna break, I'm gonna break. I don't
know if I can get through. But oh no, he said, listen, You
maybe look like you're going to be crushed, but I ain't fixing
to let you. I'm not going to break you. And
you ain't going to break. You're not going to break. Look
what else he said. And then smoking flack shall he not quench. You
know, something that's smoking means there ain't no fire. Ain't
no fire. And how many times we thought
our fire was going out? Just a little smoke. We get so
cold that we feel like we ain't got, we can't even hardly produce
no smoke. But our Lord said, if that flax,
my children, if their fire is so low, their hearts is so cold,
their hearts are so low, and they're so low down, and they
feel like the fire's fixing to go out, he said, I ain't gonna
let it do it. I'm not gonna stick my fingers
on it and push it out. I'm not going to put my fingers
on it and squish it out. And I'm not going to take it
and break it. You know what he said? I'm going
to take the lambs and my bussel. That's why I'm going to carry
them. He said, I'm going to give my sheep eternal life. Ain't
nobody going to take them away from me. Ain't nobody going to
get them out of my hand. But you think you just can't
take another minute when you think, oh Lord, Shirley and I
was talking about on the way over here, you know, I got thinking
about, oh, what a blessed day it'll be to get to go home, and
it brings tears to my eyes, and boy, to think that our Lord Jesus
Christ, He sympathizes with us. He's really touched with where
we're at and what we're going through. He really is. Oh, He's
the Shepherd of the sheep. He carries the lamb. He cares
for the weakest, the frailest, Those who think they have no
light, He gives them to Him. So frail to think, I'll break.
No, no, no. He's faithful. He won't let you
go. He won't let you go. Oh no, no,
no. He won't do it. He won't do it. Oh my, there's people that, there's
people that grieve and they think that the grief is going to kill
them. There's people that's had things, grief in their lives,
that they think the grief was actually gonna kill them. They
said, this is gonna be the death of me. And our Lord said, oh
no, no, no. That fire that's in you said,
I'm gonna keep it. I'm gonna keep it. I'm gonna
keep it. You frail, oh, listen, I'm gonna take care of you. Oh,
I'm gonna take care of you. It's like a mother. If she's
got five kids and one of them gets sick, who's gonna get the
attention? The sick one. And that's where our Lord is.
He takes care of the weakest, the frailest, and the sickest. He's like we are with our children. When you get weak and frail,
He'll take care of you. Huh? Oh my. Well, bless His name. Then, oh, let me show you another
one. I hope I'm not taking too long, but look what it says here. And look what it says in the
last part of verse 20, He shall send forth judgment unto victory.
I told you about Him being judged, that He decides who gets what
and when He gets it, whether He gets life or sight or stays
blind. And He said, He shall send forth
judgment unto victory. What does that mean? That means
that the judgment that He has done, the judgment that He has
come to the conclusion of, and everything that He, you know,
you and I are not going to be judged because Christ's already
been judged, and He brought judgment and He made a victory out of
judgment. The judgment of God fell on Him, He brought victory
out of it. The wrath of God fell on Him,
He brought victory out of it. Everything that was against us,
He brought victory out of it. Here's what I'm saying is His
truth will always triumph, always triumph, Oh my, always triumph. He shall send forth judgment
unto victory. I'll tell you what, when it looks
like everything, you know in this world judgment is so, in
this world judgment is just practically unknown. Honest judgment is practically
an anomaly now. But oh my, when Christ, He brings
forth judgment. He said, I've judged everything
and now I'm gonna bring victory out of everything that I've said
and everything I've done. Every judgment I've, everything
I've willed to do and every judgment I've made upon everybody, I'm
gonna bring victory out of it. His truth shall triumph. He shall
see the travail of his soul and be satisfied. Oh, Revelation
said forth, he went, it said, he went forth conquering and
to conquer. Lift up your gates, O ye everlasting
doors. So the King of Glory shall come
in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of hosts, mighty in
battle. Lift up and the King of Glory
shall come in. Oh, He'll come in. And then let
me show you this last one in verse 21. And He's the trustworthy
one. He's so worthy to trust. And
in His name shall the Gentiles trust. Gentiles is us. Us! Jews wouldn't give us the
time of day. They don't want to be touched
by us. You go to Jerusalem or go to Israel, go to New York
City where they wear them black hats and long robes and their
ephod down around their waist, hanging down around their waist,
them little blue bifids they got around their waist and their
big black hats on, stuff like that, and as quick as they touch
you and deal anything with you, they're going to go home and
take a bath! That's the truth, I'm telling you! But oh my, in
His name, that name that's above every name, that name that above
every name we must be saved. There's no other name under heaven
by which we must be saved than the Lord Jesus Christ. And you
know what it says? A bunch of Gentile dogs is going
to trust Him. Go trust Him. Remember when I
was going through the book of Acts and the Jews got upset with
Him, but the Scripture says there, I think it's in chapter 22 or
something, and it said, and the Gentiles heard Him gladly and
received the Word with all gladness. Don't we receive the Word with
all gladness? Is He not trustworthy? Oh my! We can trust Him. We can trust
Him, trust in His Name. You know, Isaiah said, He says,
A nail in a sure place. And He said, All the glory will
be hanging on Him. And I tell you, God put all the
glory on that nail. And I tell you what, and I tell
you, He put all of us on that nail, and that nail is in a sure
place, and it'll never, ever fall. Used to put nails on the
wall and hang clothes on it. But when Christ put, God put
nail, Christ nailed him, and he hung his glory on it, and
he hung his people on it. That nail is sure and steadfast. Oh my, oh bless it be the name
of the Lord. Thou shalt call his name Jesus.
Oh, why? Because He's going to save His
people from their sin. Amen. Well, I'll rush through
that. If it had been Sunday morning,
I'd have took an hour. Oh, I tell you, it's been so
good to be here. I tell you, I just bless my heart just to
get to open my mouth and say some things from the Word. Well,
I sure love you and appreciate you. Our Father, in the blessed
name of Christ our Lord, thank you for meeting with us here
tonight. Thank you for your precious word. Oh, Lord, it blessed my
heart. I pray it blessed your people's
hearts. That established us in the faith, built us up in the
faith, gave us blessed assurance and comfort for our souls. And
Lord, thank you for taking such care of us. You number the hairs
of our head. We are precious to you. Because
you gave your life's blood for us, gave your life's blood for us
to wash us, put away our sin, justify us, make us righteous. O Lord, blessed be your holy
name. O blessed be your name. Amen.
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank you, Lord, for making
me whole. Thank you, Lord, for giving to
me Thy great salvation, so rich and free. I hate to tell you
all this, but I won't be here Sunday. I got back way back in
October, November. I'm going up to Willisburg, Ohio.
I ain't been up there in 15 years. They've been asking me and asking
me to come up there, so I'm going up there. And I've asked O.B. Williams, he hadn't been here
in years, I asked O.B. Williams to come preach Sunday
morning, Sunday night. And I'll see you next Wednesday
night. And don't forget our dinner on February the 4th. We're gonna
do that once a month. And look at the thing back there,
we're gonna make it as easy as we can. Bring one thing. One
thing. All right, love you and appreciate
you.
