Good morning. Let's all stand
together. We'll sing hymn number 52. Hymn number 52. His brow, His head, No mortal can Him compare among
the sons of men. Fairer is He than all the fair
who fill the heavenly train, who fill the heavenly train. ? And flew to my relief ? ? For
being before the shameful cross ? ? And carried all my grief
? ? And carried all my grief ? Be seated. We'll sing hymn number
17. Number 17. Come thou fount of
every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy praise. Teach me some melodious song
and I'll sing along. Raised by an Ebeneezer, Hither
by thy help I'm come, And I hope by thy good pleasure, Safely
to arrive at home. Jesus saw me with a stranger,
Wand'ring of God. Oh, to rescue me from danger,
interpose this precious blood. Oh, to grace I'll pay the debtor,
daily I'm constrained to be. Let my good Here's my heart, take and seal
it, seal it for thy courts above. I'll read this morning from Galatians
chapter 6. And very grateful to be here
this morning and not have to preach. Get to hear somebody
get set and relax. I always enjoy that. I'm just
going to read very few verses. Started Galatians 6, 14. Really, let's start in verse
12. Let me just make a comment on these as I go. As many as
desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you
to be circumcised only lest they should suffer persecution for
the cross. That would be like a soul winner
wanting to make a name for himself and to make everybody think he's
winning lots of souls and make himself look really good. But
these people here, these Jews, would talk folks into being circumcised,
get them to be a Jew, and they done it because they didn't want
to suffer persecution, because they know that the cross done
away with circumcision, the cross done away with any ceremony,
any ritual, but they wanted people to look at what they had accomplished.
Well, look at all these people we've saved and brought into
the, and got them into Jesus, you know. For neither then, this
is the key to it, for neither they themselves who are circumcised,
those who are trying to get everybody to be their way, for they neither
themselves are circumcised keep the law. But they desire to have
you circumcised that they may say, boy, look how many I want. I got all these folks converted,
got them all converted. But now look what Paul says,
but God forbid, God forbid, that I should glory, not in my flesh,
not in anybody that I've won to the Lord, should glory save
in the cross, only in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, by
whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in the Lord Jesus Christ
neither circumcision nor availeth anything, neither uncircumcision,
living right or not living right, being under the law or not being
under the law, has nothing to do with it. As many as walk according
to this rule, glorying in the cross, peace be on them and mercy
upon the Israel of God. Our Father, in the blessed name,
glorious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, O God and Father of our
Lord Jesus, thank you and bless you and praise you for your great
and abundant mercies given to us this morning, that you woke
us up, clothed in a right mind, with the will and desire to worship
the Lord God of heaven, worship his blessed Son, to come hear
the gospel preached, to come and rest our souls in the Lord
Jesus and rest our souls in the salvation that he accomplished
for us. And Lord, we bring nothing to
the table, bring nothing at all but the merit, the worth, the
righteousness of thy blessed son. We have nothing in ourselves
to bring. But oh Lord, we bring his holy
name, we bring his precious blood, we bring his merit, we stand
in his righteousness. So Lord, that's why we come.
And we're not coming to nothing but a throne of grace, not coming
to a throne of nothing but grace, not a throne of works, not a
throne of doing the best we can, but to a throne of grace. Thank
you for allowing us to do that. God bless this dear preacher
when he comes today. We love him, appreciate him.
Thank you for the ministry you've given. Please use him today to
our good and your glory. Thank you for these dear saints
and their faithfulness to one another and faithful to love
one another. And Lord, bring glory to yourself today in this
service. Have mercy upon our lost loved
ones. We ask these things in our Lord Jesus Christ's name.
Amen. Amen. We'll stand together as we sing
the hymn of the day in the bulletin. ? That loved the souls of men ?
? And washed us in his blood ? ? Till royal honors raised
us again ? to every heart All grateful honors paid on earth,
and all her songs of love. The last time sinners all will
be. Almighty God, who was and is,
? Evermore shall be ? Be seated. Thanks for being a part of our
show. me. Cody don't need no introduction.
He's been here many times and I hope by the grace of God he'll
continue coming. Today's their anniversary. Seven
years. Wait till it's 30. And that won't take that long. It won't. But I love you and
appreciate you. You come bring the Lord's message. Good morning. It doesn't feel
like seven years to me. I won't speak for her. It's good to be with you again,
and I pray our Lord might be pleased to meet with us today.
If you will turn with me in your Bibles to Isaiah chapter 52. For our message this morning,
I want to consider one amazing, glorious verse of scripture.
This verse really captivated me, and I pray it will likewise
captivate you, too. It's here in Isaiah chapter 52,
verse 7. Read it with me. How beautiful
upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings. that publisheth peace, that bringeth
good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion,
thy God reigneth. My prayer for us right now is
that our God might enable us to look upon the mountains. Come ye and let us go up to the
mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. There is a man who's upon the
mountains. Scriptures call this mountain
the mountain of his holiness. I wanna go there today, I really
do. Pray the Lord will show us something. And this is what I
want us to see, all right? You're gonna hear my voice. You're
all looking at me. But like John the Baptist said,
I'm just a voice, just a voice, all right? I pray that we might
get a glimpse of our Lord's feet. We just sang, my joy is complete
when I sit at his feet. I pray that we might get a glimpse
of his beautiful, beautiful feet, all right? That's my prayer for
us today. If God enables us to see his feet, We will be greatly
blessed. I really believe that. I pray
he might allow us to do that today. Verse seven again, how
beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him. Now do we have to wonder who
this is talking about? Of course not. I love the fact
that it says him. Not to give away tonight's message,
but it'll be a very similar verse that says them, if the Lord is
willing. But this morning I want to consider
this, the beautiful feet of Him. Our God, brothers and sisters,
has feet. I wrote that down and just saying
those words, there's something about it. Acknowledging the fact
that our God God who created this world has feet. I want you to look at this with
me. Turn over, we'll come back here, turn over to Nahum chapter
one. God who spoke this world into
existence walked on this very earth with feet. Look here in
Nahum chapter one. If your Bible's like mine in
the Old Testament, page 1158, If you can find Jonah and Micah,
it's after that. Nahum chapter 1, and if you can't
find it, just listen. Nahum 1 verse 2 says, God is
jealous, and the Lord revengeth. The Lord revengeth and is furious.
The Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth
wrath for his enemies. The very next verse says, the
Lord is slow to anger. and great in power, and will
not at all acquit the wicked, the Lord hath his way in the
whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his
feet. Who is God? He's jealous, he's
furious, yet he's slow to anger. Great in power, holy and just, He has his way. You know, a lot
of people don't realize that about God. God has his way. He always has, he always will.
And I love so much what the end of verse three says, the clouds
are the dust of his feet. I love that so much. Now, if
we know where he is, We have no problem understanding that.
Look right here at verse 15. Behold, upon the mountains, the
feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace. If we're going to see the Lord
Jesus Christ, if we're going to see his feet, this is where
we're gonna see him. Upon the mountains. Turn back
to our text. That's what it says in Isaiah
52 7, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him. You know, everybody, everybody
in religion there, they're looking to the mountains. I'm going to
mention a few here. Everybody's looking to the mountains, but
they're missing Christ. And it breaks my heart to acknowledge
it. I know it. It's a fact. We're
going to see it. But I pray that not only will
God let us look upon the mountains, and I thought of this too. I
live in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Every day
when I'm driving to work, I get to look at these beautiful, beautiful
mountains. People drive here in the fall, drive long ways
just to look at the leaves falling on our beautiful mountains. I
don't want us to just see the mountains. There's a man on the mountains.
Have you ever looked at a mountain, seen somebody, and thought how
beautiful are their feet? But I haven't. Not a physical
mountain. His ways aren't ours, are they?
We're gonna glory in the mountain, aren't we? Let's glory in the
Christ of the mountain. Let's look for his feet. Let's
consider a few mountains here. Mount Sinai. When we look to Mount Sinai,
what do we see? We see God's holiness, don't
we? We better. But seeing God's holiness, seeing
God's holy law, his holy demands. What do we really see when we
see that? Do we? Do we see our ability to keep
him? Or do we see Christ who kept
them for us? Do we see our ability to keep
any of them in the? In the lightest? I don't. By the grace of God, I see myself
having broken every single one, every single day, but I see Christ
who came and he kept every single one, every single day. Fulfilled
it all. We offended in one point, we
better understand, we're guilty of all. We need someone who kept
it all, who honored it all, who fulfilled it all in our place.
That's exactly what Christ did. That's exactly what he did. What
about the Mount of Olives? Do you remember a mount called
the Mount of Olives? That's where I believe our Lord
often went there. And when he was taking Peter,
James, and John, when he was taking them into the Garden of
Gethsemane when he was going to pray, that's where he was. He was at the Mount of Olives.
Maybe you're familiar with that account. I hope some of you are.
But when we see Christ on the Mount of Olives, do we see a
weak Savior who's having second thoughts?
When he prayed, oh my Father, if it be possible, let this cup
pass from me. I can't help but tremble saying
such a thing because God has taught me better. Of course not.
When we see Christ on the Mount of Olives, I pray this is what
we see, God manifest in the flesh. I pray we see Him taking the
agony, the guilt, the weight of our sin upon Himself as He
prayed that prayer, as His soul was exceeding sorrowful even
unto death, as He sweat as it were great drops of blood, I pray we see the strength of
God when we see him on that mount. And you remember he told the
disciples, stay awake, watch, watch, lest you enter into temptation. And they just kept falling asleep.
You remember that? What, can you not stay awake with me for
one hour? Our Lord's prayers weren't like
ours. He prayed long prayers from the heart. But I love this
tune. They kept falling asleep, and
then finally he said, sleep on now. You just take your rest. Do we see our Savior doing all
the work for us? What it took to save us? Do we
look to Him and rest in Him? Is that who we see when we see
Him on this mount? What about where He went right
after this? Mount Calvary. What do we see when we see Mount
Calvary? I pray we see everything. I pray
we see all our hope. You know, a lot of people look
to Mount Calvary and they see God's offer. They see God's sacrifice
that He's waiting on us to do something with. That is not what
I see. That's not what I see. That's
not what God has revealed. God has revealed salvation accomplished.
Our Lord cried from that mount, it is finished. And we saw him
miraculously save one of those right beside him as he died. Is it nothing to us as we pass
by this mountain? Oh, I pray it's everything to
us. I pray we see our Savior. One more mountain I want to consider.
The mountain of transfiguration. You remember that mountain? When
our Lord appeared with Moses and Elijah, you know, the disciples,
they, They saw Moses and Elijah. They started to glory in Moses
and Elijah. But our Lord God, the Father,
spoke from heaven. They fell down. They were so
afraid. And you know what they saw when
they stood up? No man, save Jesus only. This is what I pray we might
see right now. Nothing and no man save the Lord
Jesus Christ and him only. He's high above the mountains. I said he's upon the mountains.
He's high above the mountains. He's high above everyone and
everything. Nothing and no one compares to
him. Nothing. He's seated in the heavens. Turn
with me to Psalm 99. I want to show you something
here. acknowledging where he is, seeing where he is. Let's consider this question,
where are you and I? Where do we fall in this equation?
Where is our rightful place before such a God, before such a Lord?
Look here, Psalm 99, verse one. Psalm 99, one, the Lord reigneth. Let the people tremble. He sitteth
between the cherubims. Let the earth be moved. The Lord
is great in Zion, and he is high above all the people. Let them
praise thy great and terrible name, for it is holy. Look down
at verse five. Exalt ye the Lord our God, and
worship at his footstool, for he is holy. Look at verse nine. Exalt the Lord our God, and worship
at his holy hill, for the Lord our God is holy." There is one
rightful place for fallen sons and daughters of Adam. That's
at his footstool, at his beautiful feet. He is holy. We just read
it. We're simple. He's to be exalted and worshiped.
We're to be humbled and abased. We need to know our place. God's
able to put us in our place. I pray he will. I want to mention
a couple dear brethren in the scriptures here. You remember
Mary? There were multiple Marys, but
Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha, you remember her? You
remember where she sat? You know, Martha was comforted about
with much serving. And it's a good thing to serve.
Let's make sure we understand that. But there's just one thing
needful. And that's to sit at our Lord's
feet. She sat there hearing his word. You remember a fellow named,
if this isn't how you pronounce it, bear with me, but I call
him J. Iris. You remember him? He came to
the Lord Jesus with a need. And when he came to him, do you
know what he did? He fell down at the Lord's feet. That's the place for sinners. That's the only place I want
to be. At his feet. At his feet. I thought about
this. We came here, some of us yesterday, to worship God for calling our
dear brother home, Brother Bill. You know where he's at right
now? He's beholding some beautiful
feet. The beautiful feet. Where I pray we too shall soon
be. He's upon the mountains. Back in our text, Isaiah 52.7. How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings. Does anybody here
need good tidings? It means good news. Anybody here
interested in that? Our God, listen to this, our God who is
seated in the heavens, he's upon the mountains, he came down here
and became a man to bring good tidings. Our text goes on to say, good
tidings of good. When I read that, I thought,
well, man, that sounds redundant. Not at all. I love it. Here's
what that means. Good tidings of good. Good tidings of welfare.
Good tidings of prosperity. Good tidings of happiness. You
interested in these things? That's what everybody wants,
right? It's what we're all looking for. You know, everybody by nature,
we all think the world can give us these things. Temporarily
maybe, but temporarily at best. That's it. No matter what we
think we have in this world, we brought nothing in and it's
certain we can carry nothing out. We brought our sin into this
world and that's what we need to be concerned about. We have
a soul. At the funeral yesterday, I looked
at our brother's body and I thought, you're not there. You're here with our Lord at
His feet. You're in Him. You're with Him.
You see Him. You've awoken in His likeness.
You're just like Him. What do you look like? Conform to His image. This is
the body the Lord has put my soul in for a time. If we're interested in welfare,
prosperity, and happiness, Look to Christ. Our brother did. Now he knows even as he was known. Faith has turned to sight. The world can't give us these
things. But Christ is and provides for us more than we ever could
have imagined, more than we ever could have wanted. Oh, may we
have him. That's what our Lord came to
this world and accomplished for us, everlasting happiness, everlasting
welfare, everlasting prosperity. That's what he's given Zion,
Israel, his people. Gospel means good news. Christ
came, he brought the good news. He is the good news. Imagine how Mary and Joseph thought,
imagine how they felt, rather, when the angel came and told
them what the Lord was doing through Mary. When they came,
when he came, the angel came and told them, he shall be great
and shall be called the son of the highest. Imagine what they
must have thought. We know what Mary thought. We read about it.
Oh, she rejoiced. Oh, she rejoiced. And those shepherds,
when the angel came to those shepherds and said, unto you
is born this day in the city of David a savior, Christ the
Lord. Imagine how happy they must have
been. Imagine what good news that was to them. Is it good
news to us? Our Lord's beautiful feet, they brought good news. Everywhere
our Lord went, every single day he walked this earth, he went
about doing good. He went about doing good. I mentioned
Mary. When Lazarus was sick and about
to die, Martha and Mary, of course, rightfully
so, they were afraid. They were heartbroken. But you
remember what our Lord told her? He said, Mary, whosoever liveth
and believeth in me shall never die. Is that good news? I'll tell you who that's good
news to. That's good news to a dying sinner. When Mary sat at his
feet and heard his word, our Lord said this, Mary hath chosen
that good part which shall never be taken away from her. What
was that good part? Christ. You mean to tell me Christ,
my savior, will never be taken away from me? Never heard such
good news in my life. I am his and he is mine? Are
you serious? It is written. Mention Jairus. He came to the Lord and he asked
him to come heal his dying daughter. If you read the text, Jairus
came to the Lord, the Lord left with him, and they start walking. Do you know what happened on
their way to his daughter? There was a woman with an issue
of blood. Did the Lord do anything for
her? Well, I'm busy. I'm going to go heal this daughter.
He stopped and healed her on his way. He went about doing
good. He brought good tidings. And
then he healed that woman. And then he went to that man's
daughter. And by that time, she had died. Well, it's too late. No, just mention Lazarus. Wasn't
a problem then, was it? Come forth. He that was dead
came forth. He took her by the hand and he
said, arise. She arose and she walked immediately. Is that good news to you? Our
Lord brought life. You know, that daughter and Lazarus,
they died again, physically. But I pray they didn't die spiritually.
I pray they had life. That's what Christ has brought
his people, eternal life. with him. Verse 7 again, how beautiful
upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings
that publisheth peace. All my life I'm thankful to have
been raised under the gospel. I really am. I can't tell you
how thankful I am for that. But I've still been out in the
world and I've heard the things people say. And this is something
I've heard people say all my life. You need to make your peace
with God. I'm going to give you an example
that should show us just how ridiculous that is. All right,
listen to this. We're the ones who've committed
the sin. It's not up to us to make the peace. We're the ones
who are in the wrong. Listen, if a country bombed our
country, did great damage, killed many,
and then they decide to make peace with us, How ridiculous does that sound?
They bomb us, they kill us, and then they say, well, we're going
to make peace with you. No. If there's going to be peace,
it's up to us, right? We're the ones that they bomb.
Do you understand that? God is the one we've sinned against. If there's going to be peace
with God for us, it's not up to us to make it. It's up to
Him. It's up to Him. Christ, he publisheth peace. That's what
he does, that's what he's done. You remember when his death was
foretold in, I think it was the verse, Isaiah 9, 6, I think. He had several names in that
one verse, but one of them was this, the Prince of Peace. Who's
coming into this world? The Prince of Peace. What's he
gonna do? He's gonna come accomplish peace
for somebody. You know, there's a text where
he said, think not that I'm come to send peace on earth. Come
not to send peace, but a sword. What he's talking about is dividing
households, dividing mother against daughter, son against father.
He'll take one and leave the other. That's what our Lord has
done. That's what election does. He takes one and leaves the other.
He'll save whom he will. those whom he chose to save.
But it's not up to us to save ourselves. It's not up to us
to make peace with God, all right? Colossians 1.20 says, having
made peace through the blood of his cross, he made peace. He made it. We can't add to it.
We can't take from it. It's forever. It's done. Our Lord, this could be a message
in and of itself, but his beautiful feet, were pierced. You want to get to the heart
of the message of His beautiful feet, there you go. But why were
His beautiful feet pierced? Why were His beautiful hands
pierced? Why was His beautiful side pierced? Why was His beautiful
head crowned with thorns on it? To make peace for His people. That's why. Not to make it possible.
to purchase it, secure it, and he did. Praise his name, he did. Turn with me to Ephesians chapter
2. Ephesians chapter 2. Ephesians 2 verse 11. Wherefore, remember that ye being
in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision
by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made by hands."
Now look right here, this is our state as we are in this flesh,
okay? State before God. Verse 12, that
at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise,
having no hope, and without God in the world. that unless God
have mercy on us, that's where we are, and that's how we'll
die. All right? Look at the next verse,
verse 13. But now in Christ Jesus, ye who
sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ,
for he is our peace. He is our peace. I was gonna
read on, but I can tell I'm going long. We'll just move on, but
He is our peace. We don't have to go looking for
peace. Look to Christ, who is our peace. Back in our text. Isaiah 52.7, how beautiful upon
the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth
salvation. Do we realize that's what his
beautiful feet wrought for us? Salvation. Salvation from not
just the sins we commit, but the sin that we are. the sinful
thoughts we think, the sinful motives behind the things we
do. I'll tell you this, the sinful
motives behind the things we do and take pride in. I'm so
guilty of that. You do something that supposedly
is a good deed, and yet we did it for all the wrong reasons.
If we did it to be seen, we did it for the wrong reason. I want to read you a couple verses.
If you will, turn with me to Revelation chapter 1. This is
so good. Revelation 1 verse 12. I love what it says here about
our Lord's feet. Revelation 1 verse 12. And I turned to see the voice
that spake with me, and being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,
and in the midst of the seven candlesticks, worn like unto
the son of man, clothed with the garment down to the foot,
and gird about the paps with a golden girdle, his head and
his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes
were as a flame of fire, and his feet, like unto fine brass,
as if they burned in a furnace. Every time I read this, I cannot
help but think of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Here's one in glory whose feet
look like they burned in a furnace. You remember who it says was
in the fiery furnace with them? The Son of God. Now, again, in the context there,
those men, those were sinful men just like us. They were thrown
into that furnace for disobeying their king. The furnace of God's
wrath awaits us for disobeying our king. But thank God, the king became
the servant and jumped into that furnace for us. The one we wronged,
the one we sinned against, he bore our sin for us. Is that
not amazing to you? that our substitute is the one
we sinned against, that our substitute is the judge. He's the judge.
All judgment has been committed unto the Son, and yet it's the
Son that came to die the judgment we deserve, to face the judgment
that was ours. Oh, amazing. Amazing love, how
can it be? How can it be? How can it be
that God should love a soul like me? Oh, how beautiful are his feet.
We can walk through the valley of the shadow of death, like
David said, fearing no evil, because our Lord walked through
it for us, and he's with us. Whatever we go through, he's
already been through it times infinity. And whatever we go
through, he's with us. He said, I'm with you always.
I'll never leave you, never forsake you. Thought about that time when
our Lord washed his disciples' feet. You know what happened
when he did that? Their feet were filthy. He took
their filth upon himself. Peter, Peter spoke up and said what
I probably would have said. Oh, Lord, you don't wash my feet.
You have no business washing my feet. And I really think I
understand what Peter's saying. I should be washing your feet.
Is that not? Doesn't that sound right? But
here's the thing. The Lord told Peter, gave him
a hard rebuke. He said, Peter, if I wash you
not, you have no part with me. Who needs to be washed? It's
not him. It's us. His feet are beautiful. Our feet are ugly and cracking
and spiritually our feet are disgusting. Everything about
us spiritually before God is filthy and we need to be washed. Christ came and he washed his
people completely. Back in our text one more time. Isaiah 52.7, how beautiful upon
the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth
salvation, and I love the way this verse ends, that saith unto
Zion, thy God reigneth. I think it said the same thing
when we turn to Psalm 99, thy God reigneth. Let's make no mistake about it.
Though as the end of verse five right here says, look at it,
my name continually every day is blasphemed, that's true. Though our God's name continually
day after day after day is blasphemed, It doesn't change the fact that
He reigneth. He reigneth. Though the heathen
rage, the people imagine a vain thing against the Lord and against
His anointing, He shall have them in derision. He shall laugh. Oh, how foolish we would be to
blaspheme His name, to mock Him, to glory in ourselves rather
than glory in Him. He shall have us in derision. I pray he'll bring us to his
feet right now. He shall reign forever and ever.
I said earlier I've never heard better news. Well, I've never
heard better news than this. He shall reign forever. Of his
kingdom there shall be no end. None. Thy God, my God, reigneth. Is he your God? Pray he'd reveal
to you that he is, and that that's who he is, the God who reigns.
Well, I won't have this man to reign over you. Well, he reigns
anyway. The Lord God omnipotent, that's
his name, and he reigneth. He reigneth. He always has, and
he always will. How do we see this in light of
his feet? Remember where he is, high above us, seated in the
heaven, seated on his throne. I'll show you a couple more verses
and I'll close. Turn with me to 1 Corinthians 15. I'll close
with this final thought about his feet. 1 Corinthians 15, verse 24. First Corinthians 15.24 says,
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom
to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule
and all authority and power, for he must reign till he hath
put all enemies under his feet. Is that good news to you? He
must reign. You know, we just entered an
election year, right? We're all torn up about who's
going to be in control. We don't have to wonder. He shall
reign. He must reign. He reigneth. Is that enough for us? I'm going
to get out to vote. I promise you I'm going to care
who wins. But at the end of the day, I'm hoping in this right
here, The Lord Jesus Christ, who reigneth. There's no rival to him. The
king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. As the rivers of water,
he turneth it whithersoever he will. He raiseth up kings and he puts
them down. Moves them in, moves them out.
Next. He alone reigns. He's God. He's God. He alone has all strength,
all dominion, all authority, and all power. He alone. I love
to tell you that. I love to know that. Look right
here, verse 26. This is good news too. The last
enemy that shall be destroyed is death. You know, we all fear
death, don't we? We don't have to. Paul said,
for me to live is Christ, to die is gain. Death isn't gonna hurt us, not
if we're in Christ, not if we already died in Christ. Because
if we died in Christ, we live in Christ. And that'll never
be taken away. Verse 27 says, for he hath put
all things under his feet. Brethren, all things are under
his feet. His beautiful, beautiful feet. I pray we've gotten a glimpse
of His feet today. How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of Jesus Christ our Lord. May He bless these
words to our hearts. Amen. Amen.
