womb of the morning thou hast to do of thy youth. The Lord
hath sworn and will not repent. Thou art a priest forever after
the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall

many countries. He shall drink of the brook in

your presence again, always with thanksgiving that you are our
God. You are our God and we are your
people. And Lord, we're thankful that
you've allowed us another privilege, another blessing to meet with
the children of God at the site of eternity, to be able to open
your blessed word and read it, understand it, and believe it. And so Lord, we ask for your
presence in the service tonight. Please be merciful to our lost
loved ones, our children, oh, our children. Lord, if you ever
enter their thoughts, it's more than I know. And Lord, my grandchildren,
oh, Lord, this world has got them. They love it. It has them
in their power. And Lord Jesus, you're the only
one that can break that power. You're the only one to create
a thought in the heart to make a soul need the Lord Jesus Christ. And Lord, for my grandchildren,
please put your heads around them. Please have mercy on them. Please be merciful and gracious
to them. And Lord, do for them what only
you can do. And Lord, I pray for this congregation
that you'd continue to bless it, continue to meet the needs
of every heart, every home that's represented here. We ask for
your mercies and grace to be given to us tonight. as we seek
to honor our Lord Jesus Christ. In his blessed name I pray, amen. Hymn number 17. Number 17. Come Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace. Streams of mercy never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet,
? Sung by flaming tongues above ? ? Praise the mount I'm pitched
upon it ? ? Mount of thy redeeming love ? ? Here I raise my Nebbaneser ?
? Hither by thy help I've come ? and I could pleasure safely to
arrive at home. Jesus sought me with a stranger
wandering from the fold of God. He to rescue me from danger interposed
his precious O to grace, how great a debtor
Haily I am, but strained to be! Let thy goodness, like a flitter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee. O to wonder, Lord, I feel, Here's my heart, oh, take and
seal it Seal it for thy courts above Look back here with me now, Psalm
110. Of course, this psalm is concerning
our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 110. It's concerning our Lord, it's
obvious to it, because the Lord said unto my Lord, Set thou my
right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. And this
shows us that our Lord is King, sitting on His throne, sitting
on His throne. And then it says down there in
verse 4, The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, thou art
a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. And that's That's
His eternal priesthood. We see His King sitting on His
throne, see His eternal priesthood. And this is the place, now you
keep Psalm 110, look in Matthew 22 with me. This is the psalm
that our Lord used to shut the mouths of His enemies in Matthew
22. And they was all questioning
Him about so many different things, and our Lord used this. Three
different people came and asked the Lord questions. There was
the Pharisees, then there were the Sadducees, and then there
were the lawyers. All of them came to ask the Lord
Jesus Christ questions, asked Him about the law. And in verse
42, look what our Master said. He said, What saying? What thank
you of Christ? He asked the Pharisees. They
all asked him questions. He said, I'm going to ask you
a question. What thank you of Christ? They understood that
the Christ was going to come. They didn't know he was there.
Whose son is he? They say unto him, the son of
David. And that's right. They're right. And he says unto
them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord? He said, David in the spirit,
by his spirit call him Lord. And then he quoted Psalm 110
verse one, the Lord Jehovah said unto my Lord, set down my right
hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool. And then he asked
him this question, if David then call him Lord, tell me how is
his son too? So he used this verse of scripture
to silence his enemies. And the Scripture said after
that nobody asked Him any more questions, didn't ask Him any
more questions. And our Father made promises
to His blessed, blessed Son. First He said He would make His
enemies His footstool, and He will, He will make His enemies
His footstool. And it says there in verse 2
that He shall send the rod of His strength, that He s going
to use the rod of His strength. In Revelation 1, He s there with
a brass rod, a rod of brass, setting in judgment. He s got
a rod, and that rod is for punishment, that rod shows His power and
His authority. And it said, and also He said
this, it said in verse 3, He said, This is what you re going
to do by this power. This is what you're gonna do.
He says, thy people shall be willing in the days of thy power,
in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning that
has to do of youth. So he's gonna make his people
willing in the day of this power. And then he's gonna be the judge
in verse six. He shall judge among the heathen,
he shall fill the places with dead bodies, he shall wound the
heads over many countries. So He's gonna rule, all judgment's
committed to the Son. But the promise that I'm interested
to that the Father gave Him and that He has in His power is there
in verse three. In the day of His power, His
people are made willing. This has four things here. First of all, we have a promise.
We have His power. You got His people. And then
you see people that's persuaded. Four things that I won't deal
with this evening. Out of in the day of thy power,
thy people are made willing. And the Lord Jesus here has taken
his throne. He takes his throne as king.
The Lord said unto my Lord, sit, sit at my right hand, place of
power and authority, place of position, honor, glory. And a king, if he?s going to
have a king, if a king?s on his throne, he has to have SUBJECTS. He?s got to have a kingdom, and
he?s got to have people IN that kingdom, and this is what he?s
talking about. And the first thing he says about
them, ?Thy people.? That?s the first thing he says about them,
?Thy people.? Whose people? The LORD?s people. Jehovah?s
people said, ?The LORD said unto my LORD, I?m going to give you
the power to make your people with it.? And when He talks about
His people, Thy people, He's talking about a distinct, a separate
people from anybody else in the whole world. They're His choice
by choice, they're His by election, they're His by power, they're
His by so many ways. And I tell you what, He says
Thy people, Thy people. And how did we become His people?
Well, God promised us to Him. God promised us to Him. You keep
Psalm 110, look in Psalms 2 with me. You know, our Lord, God promised
our Lord Jesus Christ a people. He promised Him a people. And
there in Psalm 2 in verse 6, when you get over there, His
people by promise, God gave Christ a promise I will give you a PEOPLE. And look what He said here in
verse 6, Yet I have sent my King upon my holy hill of Zion. There
He is on His throne again. I will declare the decree. The
Lord said unto me, Thou art my Son, this day I have begotten
thee. Listen to this, Ask of me, and I shall give thee the
heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the
earth for thy possession. He said, I'm gonna give you the
heathen. Well, that's what he got when he got us, a bunch of
heathens. A bunch of heathens. And we was given to him. And
our Lord said, listen, I'll take them. I'll take them. Oh my. So we're his people first by
promise. And secondly, we're his people,
thy people, because he bought us and he paid for us with his
precious blood. We were redeemed. not with such
corruptible things as silver and gold, but with the precious
blood of Christ, as a lamb without spot and without blemish, ordained
before the world ever began. And the Scriptures tells us plainly
that we is redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I mean,
beloved, if the Lord Jesus didn't pay for us, we'd never, and here's
the thing about it, because of His redemption, because He bought
us and paid for us, and we belong to Him, and He paid for us by
His blood, He paid for us by His death on the cross, He paid
for us through the blood of His righteousness, and I tell you,
that guarantees that every soul whom He bought and of His people,
every single one of them, will be His people, no matter who
they are and where they are. I can tell you that. Look in
Isaiah 43 with me, verse 1. Isaiah 43. You know, it s a talk we s tonight about Paul teaching the Word. Well, we do that, expound the
Word, and And now you look what he said
in Isaiah 43, 1, but now thus saith the Lord, that's the first
thing you need to understand, this is the Lord talking. And
it's the first thing he says about you, I created you, I made
you. He said, you didn't make yourself, you're the sheep of
my pasture, you didn't create yourself. Oh, Jacob, he that
formed thee, oh Israel, fear not. Listen to it now. For I
have redeemed thee, not only did I pay for you, but I've also
called you by name. And listen to this, thou art
mine. Thou art mine, thou art mine. And you know what the song they
sang about in glory? Unto him that loved us and washed
us from our sins in his own blood. Oh, they sang the song of redemption. Oh, my. And I tell you, He redeemed
us. He redeemed us. You know, Psalm
103 said He redeemed us from our life, from destructions,
from so many destructions. And I tell you, if you ever went
to go to buy something, purchase something, to redeem something,
to pay for something, and realize you didn't have the price, didn't
have the money, or you decided it wasn't worth the price, or you didn't have the power,
you didn't have the price, or you didn't have the willingness
to pay it. Well, our Lord Jesus Christ, He had the power, He
had the price, He has the willingness, and He has the power. So when
He got ready to pay for something, He gets it. I went places and
said, I ain't gonna pay that for that. I just ain't gonna
do it. Or I went one time and had a
whole bunch of work done wretched in my pocket and didn't even
have my bill for it. Now you're talking about treating
a rock in a hard place. Fella had to trust me, I mean,
oh yeah. Had to trust me. But that's an
awful thing, that's an awful feeling. But oh, our Lord Jesus
Christ, He didn't have to reach in His pocket. He didn't have
to reach in His pocket to get a price to pay. He didn't have
to do like me and you, think is, do I wanna pay that price? Am I willing to pay that price?
Do I have the willingness to pay that price? Do I have the
ability to pay that price? Our Lord Jesus Christ had the
power, He had the willingness, and He did not have to think
about paying the price for our redemption. to pay us, pay for
us. Oh my. That's why Job said it
like this. I know he's an old man. I know my Redeemer liveth. Oh my. And I'll tell you something
else. Not only his people, distinct
separate people by promise and by purchase, but also by gift. Everybody likes gifts. Everybody
likes a gift. I don't know anybody don't like
a gift. Well, I, Lord Jesus Christ, He said, Ask of me. God said,
Ask of me. And I'll give you. I'll give
them to you. And you know what I, Lord, said?
He said, All that the Father gives me. All of them. All of them. All these people
right here. He said, All that the Father
gives me. You know what they're going to
do? They're going to come to me. They gonna come to me. Oh, bless his name. He said,
thou has given him power over all flesh that he should give
eternal life to as many as who? Thou has given him. Could you
imagine? Here our Lord Jesus Christ, he's
in eternity. He's in his power, he's in his
glory. He's with His Father. He's this
Father's delight. And there He is, all the angels
obeying Him and doing His will and just enthralled with Him. And the Father says, Son, I'm gonna give you a people.
But you're going to have to go, and you're going to have to go
to those people, and you're going to have to purchase those people.
And then not only that, I'm going to give them to you, but it's
going to cost you something to have them. And I tell you what,
now Lord Jesus Christ said, I'll take them. I'll take them. And I'll tell you what, you know
how many God gave him? He gave him a multitude that
no man can number, 10,000 times 10,000, thousands. And I'll tell
you, he done that before the world ever began. We were given
to the Lord Jesus Christ. And I mean, beloved, and I'll
tell you, you go in John 17, and I think there's seven or
eight places over there where it says given, given, given,
given. Giving them to me, those that
they gave me. Those that they gave us to me. Six or seven, eight times over
there, talks about giving, giving. Do you feel like you're a gift
to anybody? No, no. But I'm his gift. Who gave him
to? God gave him, me to him. And oh my, then look not on sight.
There's the first thing. We got the promise. Now here's
the power. Here's the power. In the day of thy power. First of all you got your people.
Then you got in the day of thy power. Day of power. You got
his power. You know how I love to say it.
God says I will and they shall. Or I shall and they will. Say it any way you want to. I will, you shall. I shall and
you will. You read it the other night there
in Ezekiel 37. He said, Can these bones live?
Lord, you know. If I will and those bones live
because God said I will, I will. Everything about, everything
about us is by the will of God, by the will of Christ. And God
said over, He said in 2 Corinthians 7, He says this, I'll be a father,
I'll be your God and you'll be my people. I'll be your father
and you'll be my children. Now, He didn't ask us to do that.
He just said, I'll be your God and you're gonna be my people.
And I'll tell you the power, the day of His power, His power. Oh, look in Ezekiel 36 with me.
37, excuse me, 37. Look in Ezekiel 37. I'll try
to get this right. I read a whole chapter back there
in the men's meeting, and I was reading from one chapter and
they was reading from another. Boy, I tell you what, I don't
mean to, I don't do it on purpose. I don't do it on purpose. I need to pay more attention
to what I say, that s one thing for sure. But look what He said
here in Ezekiel 37, verses 5 and 6, Thus saith the LORD God unto
these bones, Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you. And
what did He say? You shall live. And listen to
this, and I will lay sinews upon you, will bring flesh upon you,
and cover you with skin, put breath in you, and you shall
live, and you shall know this, that I am the Lord. He said,
I will, that's what I'm gonna do. Oh my, so the day of His
power, so He says, I will, you shall. And let me tell you, the
day of His power, the day of our Lord's birth was a day of
power. Whoa, what a day of power it
was. The day He was born, the angels said, Glory to God in
the highest. On this earth, on this day on
the city of Bethlehem is born unto you a Savior, which is Christ
the Lord. And the angels began to sing.
The shepherds said, Oh my, let's go see who this is. And they
went over there and saw the Lord Jesus Christ. And when our Lord
was taken, the eighth day, taken into the temple to be circumcised
and offered to the Lord, there's an old man sitting there, old
gray-headed, old bearded old man, and he saw Mary sitting
there and her husband Joseph sitting there, and he went over
and took that baby. Listen, he took a baby, an infant,
out of her mother's arms And he looked at that baby, that
infant, and he said, Lord, mine eyes have seen your salvation.
And he was looking at a baby. My eyes, he looked down at that
child and said, my eyes have seen your salvation. Now, NOW,
let me depart in peace. And he handed that baby back.
But that's what he's saying. Oh, the day of his power. I'm
telling you what. I mean, people knew it. And the
days of his life, all the days of his life were days of power. Oh, what days of power. Days
of miracles, power over creation. We know that man does not have
power over the wind and over the waves. He doesn't have power
over it. And we know that God don't sleep,
but when our Lord Jesus Christ was in that ship passing over,
and they was going over the sea, and a big storm came up. And
our Lord Jesus was laying asleep, and this big storm came up. And
I mean, the wind was blowing, the waves was coming up on that
boat, and they run down there and woke him up, Master, Master,
don't you care? We're gonna perish. He got up
and walked out, that storm just raging. He said, peace, be still. God don't sleep, but man don't
control the weather. But God and man in the person
of the Lord Jesus Christ got up and said, peace, be still. And that wind just got just as
calm and the waves laid down. Oh, you know what they said?
Just like we do all the time. What manner of man is this that
even the winds and sea obey him? That's what I'm telling you,
he's got power. He's got quickening power, life-giving power. There was three dead people in
the scriptures that our Lord raised, and they all represent
three different types of people. There's Jarius' daughter, she's
a child, 12 years old. That's what they said, she's
12 years old. So that means to tell, I believe that a child
can be saved at 12, 13. If God doesn't work for them,
they can be saved when God doesn't work. And I tell you, and this
daughter, she was still alive, and they sent word to her, said,
my daughter's sick, and he started back there, and Jeriah sent word
to him, said, tell the Lord not to come, she's dead. She's gone. Our Lord walked in there, and
he said, oh, she's not dead, she's just sleeping. Oh, they
just left him to scorn. What in the world's the matter
with you? What are you talking about she's asleep? She's dead! He
put them all out. He got her by the hand. He said,
Talitha Kumai. Got her by the hands. Daughter,
get up. That little old girl got up.
Mama, fix her something to eat. And then there's the widow's
son. He was an adult. He was a young man. And I tell
you, they had him in his casket. Had him in his casket. And they
was carrying him in his casket, going to the graveyard with him.
And his mother was walking along, weeping behind that casket. Our
Lord Jesus is coming this way. And he stopped that funeral possession. He stopped it, and I'll tell
you what, he said, stopped it, and that woman's crying, and
I'll tell you what, that young man was laying there in his grave,
in his casket, and our Lord Jesus said, I say unto thee, arise. That boy said up. Said up, took
his foot out of that thing and climbed up out of that casket. And they gave it to somebody
else, I reckon. He didn't need it anymore. That's
what Christ does, as a child, as a young man. And then there's
a fella that was old, and he had been dead four days. And
he had been, he was so stinking and so corrupt like I was, and
like I am, if it wasn't for the grace of God. He had been dead,
he is rotten and he is corrupt. And our Lord said, oh, they come
and said, he wouldn't have died, Lord, if you had been here. He
just wouldn't have died. And I, Lord, said, oh, he gonna
live again. Oh, I know he is at the last day. No, I'm the
resurrection, the life. And I, Lord, stood and wept at
that tomb. And I tell you, and I've told
you this before, the reason he wept, because I gotta bring this
man back into this world, and he gotta do this again. But I
tell you, they said, take away that stone. Lazarus, and he that
was dead four days, Corruption had set in. His body started
rotting and stinking. And I, Lord, said, Lazarus, come
forth. And I don't know how he did it.
He was wrapped up in clothes, wrapped up in grave clothes,
but yet he got up and got out of there. And our Lord said,
take them grave clothes off of him right now. You know, the
only folks who need dead clothes, grave clothes, is dead people.
Well, he's not dead anymore. Get rid of them grave clothes.
But that's what I'm telling you. He's got power, left giving power. And oh, and I'll tell you another
thing that I love about our Savior. He's got forgiving power. You
know, I preached on here recently where they brought that man with
the palsy, that paralyzed fella, and they brought him to the Lord
Jesus Christ. And our Lord looked at him and
said, son, thy sins be forgiven you. Oh, that's all we need to
hear. Oh, your son, your sins be forgiven
you. And those Pharisees thought,
Who in the world can forgive sins but God only? And our Lord
Jesus, He unperceived and He said, That you may know that
I've got the power on earth to forgive sins. Man, get up, get
up out of your bed, roll it up, take it to the house with you,
go on. Oh my, I tell you, that's what our Lord does for us. When
He forgives us of our sins, I'm telling you what, We're not crippled
anymore. We're not lame anymore. We're
not on our beds anymore. And I'd rather have my sins forgiven
than anything that I know of in this world. I'd rather have
my sins forgiven. And I mean, I mean all of them.
I'm not talking about what I've done up to the time that I lived.
Listen, if he only took care of them up to the time to today,
and he took care of them one day at a time, that'd be an awful
way to live. But I'll tell you what, if he'd
given up to this and left us to do the rest of it, no, no,
he hath forgiven us all sin. Past sins, present sins, and
all our future sins has already been taken care of. Now does
that mean we're gonna go out here and act like a bunch of
rebels? Oh no, no, how could we possibly
do that? Oh, such forgiveness, such kindness,
such mercy. Sin against one who so willingly
and graciously forgave us of our sins, washed them all away. Oh, I tell you something else about
His power. He got convincing power. And what I mean by that,
He got power to convince a man of sin. He s the only one that
CAN make a man a sinner. I heard old Mr. Montgomery one
time, are you a preacher-made sinner or a God-made sinner?
If you're a preacher-made sinner, you come to an altar and you've
prayed through, you've done a little rigamarole and everything, they
said, oh, you're all right now. But when God makes you a sinner,
I mean, you're a sinner from the top of your head to the sole
of your foot to the tips of your fingers and your toes. Oh, my. And I tell you, I tell you, look
at the people in the scriptures. Job said, oh Lord, oh Lord, it's
against you. He said, oh, I've heard about
you there and of the air, but when I see you, I abhor myself. Isaiah said, woe is me, I saw
you in your glory. Daniel says, my coming has turned
into corruption. And oh my, when he made me to
be a sinner, I ain't never got over it. That's why I keep coming
to Christ. And I'll tell you, He's got power
to convince His people. Now listen to me. He's got power
to cause His people to confess and own their sins. I mean, they
confess and own that they're sinners. They're not pretend
sinners. They're not sham sinners. Oh,
He s got the POWER to make us HOLD and CONFESS our sins, and
He s got the POWER to make us REPENT of our DEAD WORKS, and
everything that we did apart from faith in Christ was a DEAD
WORK! All of our religion, all of our
praying, and all of our giving, everything we done until Christ
saved us by His grace is DEAD WORKS, and He makes us REPENT
of that. He s got the POWER to do it.
And I tell you, He's got the power to convince us that we
have got no merit whatsoever, not any, none whatsoever. And I tell you, He's got the
power to convince us to call on God for mercy, call on God
for grace, call on God to give it to us for Christ's sake. And
I tell you, He makes us willing in the day of His power to be
saved by the obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the blood
of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'll tell you, He convinces
us of His power and His position, which means that I've got all
authority, and I'm sitting on a throne, and I'm a king, and
He's convinced us that that's who He is, and every one of us
bow to Him and submit to Him. That's the kind of power He's
got. Anybody here don't want to bow
to him? Oh, no, no, I'm glad. He's convinced us who he is.
Oh, my. And this power, this power had
a power to take a solid Tarsus and put him in the dust. He had
the power to make the Philippian jailer say, sirs, what must I
do to be saved? And another power that he's got,
got convincing power. life-giving power and he's got
liberating power. What do I mean by that? Know the truth and the truth
will set you free. And whom the Son sets free. How free is he? How free is he? He's free indeed. Oh, look, keep this Psalm 110.
Look with me over in Romans chapter 6. Look in Romans with me in
chapter 6. Talk about freedom. Oh. I remember when I was a young
man, young man, I had a lot of trouble. After my kids were born,
I was in a mess. I remember thinking, oh, I'd
give anything if I could be free of who I am. I'd give anything
if I could be free. And I mean, even thought about
suicide, everything, you know, to get out of the misery. I said,
oh, I wanted to be set free from the bondage and the pain and
agony I was going through. I wanted to be set free. But
I couldn't. I couldn't do it. But oh, my. He said, oh, Know the truth,
the truth will set you free. And whom the Son sets free, He's
free indeed. And look what He said here in
Romans 6, 16. Know ye not, what He's saying
is, don't you know this? Do you understand this? That
to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey. You give yourself up
to obey something, something more. Whether it's Sin, if you
obey sin, it will lead to death, be dead. And if you come to the
obedience unto righteousness, but now listen to what he says
here, but God be thanked that you were the servants of sin,
but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which
was delivered unto you. And you know what it says in
the margin? Where to ye were delivered. You were delivered
to this power, this doctrine, this power. Now what happens
when this happens? Being then made free from sin. What happens then? You become
righteous and you want to serve righteousness, you want to obey
righteousness, you want to be righteous. That's what that's
about. Oh my. Where God up, I'll tell
you this, I know this and I believe every one of you agree with me
on this. Where God pardons sins and puts sin away, He also subdues
sin. He also subdues it. We're no
longer under the dominion of sin. Sin's power does not control
us and have dominion over us. Grace has dominion over us. How
does a man in jail know that he's been pardoned? They come down there and they
let Him out, and He's free. Well, that's how we know we've
been set free. Christ comes and set us free. Set us free, set us free. And
let me tell you this about the day of His power. The day of
His cross, oh, listen, that was and is the greatest display of
power ever exhibited it between the eternities. There's never
been power like was displayed at the cross between the eternities. You know what power was displayed
at that cross? Power to satisfy God's justice. Power to put away sin by that
sacrifice. Power to put away the wrath of
God. And oh, and because of that,
because of what took place at the cross, His people were saved
once and for all. Oh, here's our great high priest
offering a sacrifice and entering into the holiest of holies by
His own blood. And talking another thing about
the day of His power, the day of the gospel, THE DAY THE GOSPEL
BECAME THE POWER OF GOD UNTO YOU. THE DAY THE GOSPEL CAME
TO YOU, AND IT BECAME GOD'S POWER IN YOUR SALVATION. HUH? OH, MY! THERE'S A DAY THAT THE
GOSPEL BECOMES THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. THAT'S WHAT PAUL
SAID, SAID THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. AND OH, MAY GOD GIVE
POWER TO THE PREACHER TO PREACH. MY THIRD POINT IS THIS. Promise, power, and then his power brought to
bear. And look what it says there again in that verse. Thy people
shall be willing. That power made us willing. What it says here, it's not talking
about free will or free won't. Free I ain't going to or free
I do or something that has nothing to do with man's free will. It
has everything to do with God's free will. Oh my, made willing
in the day of his power. Anybody here that's unwilling
to be the Lord Jesus Christ? No, no. I tell you, Lazarus was
made willing. Huh? Jacob was made willing. Samuel was just a boy. He was
made willing. Mephibosheth, before King David,
he is made willing. Rebekah, when she saw everything
about Isaac and all of his wealth and his clothes and his jewelry
and the father gave everything into his hands, she was made
willing. Saul of Tarsus was made willing. And they and all of God's people
are made willing. All of them are, every single
one of them. And you know what they're made
willing to do? To forsake all and everyone, all and everyone
which would keep them from the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't want
nobody to separate me from my master. I don't want a wife,
I don't want a child, I don't want a church, I don't want nobody,
nothing. We're made willing, count everything
but done. We're made willing, willing to
not let anyone come between us and Christ. Nobody, nobody. And oh my, and there are conquered
people set in the day of his power, made willing. How'd he make us willing? By
His love, by His grace, by His mercies, by His goodness, He
conquered us, made us throw up our hands and say, yes, Lord,
yes, yes, yes. And oh, they're a loyal people
too. Oh, they're loyal. Lord, what
would you have me to do? Oh my, to whom else should we
go? Who else could we go to? He's
got the words of life. He's our master. He's our Lord. He's our prophet. He's our priest. He's our king. And there's an
old hymn. It's in our book. I heard old
Barnard sing it at one time. Where you lead, I'll follow. Will you lead? I'll follow. And
that's what we say to our Lord Jesus Christ. You lead, we'll
follow. You lead, we'll follow. He said, follow me. Lord, that's
what we're doing. We're following you. And then,
oh my, then look at the persuasion. What persuaded us to become his
people, his children? Look what it says there in verse
one again, verse three, excuse me. Oh my, we were persuaded
by the beauties of His holiness. Oh our Lord is so beautiful in
His holiness, glorious in His holiness. And then look what
else it says, He has the dew of youth. He has the dew of youth. And
oh my, the morning has that dew on it. Everything's fresh, everything
comes new. And He's always the same, the
beauty of holiness. It's got dew on Him in the morning. And oh, it's like flowers coming
and blooming first thing in the morning. That's what He does.
In fact, when the morning comes, He brings the morning with Him.
And He's always the same. The beauty of His holiness, the
beauty of His strength, beauty of His glory, the beauty of His
power, And when He talks about His youth, our Lord is just,
He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our Lord, you reckon
He'll always be 30 years old or 33 when we get to Heaven?
He was 33, I think, or 33 and a third, something like that
they say, when they crucified Him. But you reckon that He'll
be 33 when we get to Heaven? You reckon you'll be 90 when
you get to Heaven? I don't think so. I don't think
so. No, I don't think so. He's got
to do with youth, and if he's youth, young, forever young,
once we get there, we'll be forever young. Listen, you think you're going
to go up there and see a bunch of folks 68, 70, and 80 years
old? You know when it says an infant
shall be as a man a hundred years old, that means that God, He
makes the age according to Himself. And when our Lord says the due
of youth is on Him, that means He gets up and He's young just
like the new morning. New morning. And that's why it'll
start for us. It'll start a new morning. I think we'll be all
young people I do. I don't think I'm going
to be gray-headed. I don't think you'll have a beard. You know, I started telling you
my opinion, but I don't know for sure, but I kind of believe
that we won't none of us be old. I don't believe that. And I tell
you, I do know this, that our Lord Jesus is vital to us today. as the first day we trusted Him.
His truth, everything about His truth still is as young as the
first time we ever heard it. It's as precious to us like it's
got youth on it, and it's new. Oh, it's always the same, but
it's never old, is it? Never old. And I tell you what,
His truth has the due of youth on it. His person has the due
of youth on it. His doctrine has the due of youth
on it. His church has the due of youth
on it. That means the freshness of it,
the newness of it, the brightness of it. And I tell you what, He
keeps us willing every day of our life, huh? Jesus Christ the
same today, yesterday, and forever. Ain't you grateful that thy people
shall be willing in the day of your power? And you know what
persuaded us? His holiness and his youth. Oh,
what a Savior is Jesus our Lord. What a Savior. Our blessed Savior, thank you.
Blessed be your name. I offer my thanks, my praise.
I bless your holy name. Lord, to you be the glory. I'm so thankful that you give
us these things to believe, to see, to hear, to understand,
and they're always fresh. Always fresh. Offer not fresh
to us, Lord. Because we're stale. Your doctrine's
not stale. Your holiness is not stale. Your
truth is not stale. Your bread's not stale. We get
stale. But oh Lord, you've got that
dew of youth and you've got the beauty of your holiness. And
Lord, we rejoice in it. And Lord, blessed be your holy
name for making us will it. And Lord, we're willing every
day, every day of every moment, willing. And we ask for your
will to be done, for your protecting power, for you to keep us going,
keep us living, keep us cleaving, keep us believing, keep us trusting,
keep us following you all the days of our lives. We ask these
things in Christ's name. Amen, amen. Oh, how merciful, how merciful. Blessed Lord, how merciful thou
art to me. Oh, how merciful, how merciful. Blessed Lord, how merciful Thou
art to me. Shirley and I are going to be
leaving Tuesday. I'll be gone three weeks. We'll
be gone three weeks. We're going to England, Ireland,
and Scotland. And I've got three preachers
coming. One thing I really, really regret.
And that is that we can't have Wednesday night service because
we can't have anybody, we don't have anybody that can take it.
You know, we got men that's got the ability to do it, but they
have to work and it's just too hard on them. And I'm very, very
sorry that we can't have it on Wednesday. And I really, really
regret that. So you pray that the Lord raise
up somebody around here. I don't care who it is, as long
as it ain't a woman. Long as ain't a woman. We ain't gonna have no women
preachers or teachers. I tell you, I get, ah, forget
me, I'm just. But anyway, Lord, send us somebody
to take, do things for me when I'm gone. And God willing, I'll
see you in three weeks. It'll be July the 30th, won't
you? I think that's July the 30th, I think, is when next time
we'll meet, that I'll be here. But you got Larry Chris coming,
Aaron Greenleaf coming, and Cody Henson coming, three outstanding
preachers. And y'all get a respite from
me. When you hear, you know, I stayed with a fellow one time,
and a train went right by his house up in Hobart, Indiana.
Train went by his house, his whole house was just shaking.
Now, every time that train come by, I'm awake. But they never
paid any attention to it at all. They lived there and they used
to it. And that's the kind of way I
am. I'm like that train. I've come through here so many
times that the house don't shake anymore. So maybe you get another
train come in here and it'll be such a blessing to you. I
know that the brethren will be a blessing to you. And the Lord
bless you, the Lord keep you, and the Lord prospers you till
I can come back and be with you. I love every one of you. Good
night and God bless you.
