Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus,
fast unmeasured, Rolling as a mighty ocean in His fullness over me. Underneath me, all around me,
is the current of Thy love. leading onward, leading homeward
to my glorious rest above. Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus
spread His praise from shore to shore. How he loveth, ever
loveth, Changeth never, nevermore. How he watches o'er his loved
ones, Thine to call in all his own. How for them He intercedeth,
Watcheth o'er them from the throne. Oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus,
love of every, love the best. Tis an ocean vast of blessing,
tis a haven sweet of rest. O the deep, deep love of Jesus,
Tis of Him that comes to me, And it lifts me up to glory,
For it lifts me up to Thee. be seated, we'll sing hymn number
67. Hymn number 67. O Savior, as my eyes behold The
wonders of Thy might untold, The heavens in glorious light
arrayed, The vast creation Thou hast made. Think thou lovest me? My heart cries out How can it
be? How can it be? How can it be? A soul like me, oh how can it
be? As at the cross I humbly bow
and gaze upon Thy thorn-crowned brow, and view the precious Wailing
formed by cruel nails, so bruised and torn. Knowing thy suffering
was for me, In grief I cry, how can it be? How can it be? How can it be that God should
know Can it be? How can it be, how can it be? Was ever grace so full and free? From heights of bliss to depths
of woe, In loving kindness Thou didst go. From sin and shame
to rescue thee, O love divine, how can it be? How can it be? How can it be? That God should love a soul like
me Oh, how can it be? Good evening. For our scripture
this evening, let's turn to the book of Psalm. We'll read Psalm 8. Psalm 8. O Lord, our Lord, How
excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory
above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and
sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies,
that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I
consider thy heavens the work of thy fingers, the moon and
the stars, which thou hast ordained, what is man? What is man that thou art mindful what is man, that thou art mindful
of him, and the son of man, that thou visitest him. For thou hast made him a little
lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory
and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion
over the works of thy hands. Thou hast put all things under
his feet. All sheep and oxen, yea, and
the beast of the field, the fowl of the air, and the fish of the
sea, and whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas. O Lord,
our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth. Let's pray. Our most gracious
Heavenly Father, we give thanks for the day, Lord. Thanks for
that word. Thanks most of all for that precious
son. Last sacrifice of him for our
sins, Lord. Yes, they to be with us. We go
into the worship service and ask. For the hand on Brother
Cody's, he brings a message. May all things honor thee, rest
these things in Christ's name, amen. Hymn number 63. Hymn number
63. Take the name of Jesus with you,
Child of sorrow and of woe. It will joy and comfort give
you, Take it then where'er you go Precious name, oh how sweet
Hope of earth and joy of heaven Precious name, oh how sweet ? Hope of earth and joy of heaven
? ? Take the name of Jesus forever ? ? As a shield from every snare
? ? If temptation's round you gather ? Breathe that holy name
in prayer Precious name, oh how sweet Hope of earth and joy of
heaven Precious name, oh how sweet Hope of earth and joy of heaven
O the precious name of Jesus How it thrills our souls with
joy When His loving arms receive us And His songs our tongues
employ Precious name, oh how sweet Hope of earth and joy of
heaven Precious name O how sweet Hope of earth and joy of heaven
At the name of Jesus bow we Falling prostrate at his feet King of
kings and then we'll crown him When our journey is complete
Precious name, oh how sweet Hope of earth and joy of heaven. Precious name, O how sweet, O
how sweet, Hope of earth and joy of heaven. Well, we're blessed. Oh, so blessed. I enjoyed the service so much
this morning. There's nothing more enjoyable
to me than sitting here in the gospel. I love hearing the gospel. I don't care who's preaching
it, but I just want to know that that's what they're preaching.
I was blessed this morning, Cody. You come bring the Lord's message. Good evening, it's good to see
you again. I invite your attention back to where we were this morning,
2 Corinthians chapter 9. I need to hit go. I'll repeat that. You can turn with me to 2 Corinthians
chapter 9. 2 Corinthians chapter 9. This morning
we looked at verse 15. Tonight I'd like to look at verses
six and seven. Let's read those two verses together. 2 Corinthians 9, verse six. But this I say, he which soweth
sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully
shall reap also bountifully. Every man, according as he purposeth
in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly or of necessity,
for God loveth a cheerful giver. I'll preface this message by
saying I'm not here to present a lesson on giving. I know we've
been on the subject all day. That's not what I'm here to talk
to you about. Now, that being said, I will
say this. Giving is a very serious and a very needful and a very
important topic that our Lord has addressed for us. I read
them and I encourage all of us to read them. Chapters 8 and
9 right here, specifically, we're given great instruction on. on
giving, and let me say this as well. I pray God would cause
us to be cheerful givers. I really do. I mentioned this
morning that I'm not a person to mimic giving after, but I
really do pray the Lord would teach me to give the way I ought
to. Now, the text here tells us,
God loveth a cheerful giver. Anytime we read, God loves something,
we ought to pay attention to what it says. Okay, I found a
few. God loves righteousness. That
goes without saying, don't it? You know, I feel like rarely
do I do the right thing. Righteousness means right. God loves that which is right.
And Christ, the judge of all the earth, shall do right. He
only does right. He judges righteously with a
righteous judgment. That's the next one. God loves
judgment. He loves righteousness. He loves judgment. When I think
of judgment, love is not my first reaction to that word. It's not. I'm thankful to have never had
to stand before a judge in this life, and I hope I never have
to. I don't know if they will be merciful or not, but our judge
is. But don't forget, he judgeth
righteously. If he's gonna show mercy, it comes at a great cost.
Thankfully, you and I didn't bear that cost. God loves righteousness,
he loves judgment, and as our text says, he loves a cheerful
giver. And I love that. This matter
of giving, giving is of God. It initiated with God. It's contrary
to man. We love to receive. We just do. God loves to give. God loves
to give. Giving is a beautiful act of
kindness, beautiful act of love, and I know I do, and you do too. We all have plenty of opportunities
every single day to give, and it's a wonderful thing. Lord,
teach us to give. Make us givers. Make us cheerful
givers. Now, let me ask us a question,
though. What kind of givers are we? And we need to be honest, not
just with ourselves. We need to be honest before God.
What kind of givers are we? Are we satisfied with the kind
of givers that we are? Are you? Look at verse six again. But this I say, he which soweth
sparingly shall reap also sparingly. And he which soweth bountifully
shall reap also bountifully. How have we sown? Well, we've either sown bountifully
or sparingly. Now let's think about our spiritual
sowing, okay? As far as who we are and what
we've done in God's sight, how have we done? How have we sown?
Sparingly. When it comes to my possessions,
and when it comes to giving in general, I must confess my giving
is sparingly, stingily, and selfishly. And my spiritual giving is no
different. What have I given to God? Oh,
it's not worth mentioning. It's just not. I mentioned that
earlier. What do we have that we haven't
received? If we're gonna have, I mentioned God loves righteous.
If we're gonna have a righteousness, when we stand before God, who
gave that? There's only one righteousness.
And it's the Lord Jesus Christ, him alone, only one. We must
be in him. And when it comes to giving,
Let's just take giving to the church, for example. No matter
how much we give, it may be a number that would really impress some
of us, but no matter how much it is, it's a small, small portion
of what God has graciously and abundantly given to us, no matter
how much it might be to me or you. It's very small, very small. You remember that poor woman,
she gave the tiny, tiny, tiny bit of money, and yet she gave
all she had. Someone might have seen that money go in the treasury
and thought, yet God said she gave all. I love that. I love
that account. Now many people believe themselves
to be cheerful givers. And I must acknowledge this.
There are a lot of very generous people in this world. I think
I'm looking at a bunch of them. And I thought about myself, if
I were to find myself in a place of serious need, I don't have
a single doubt that every single one of you would be ready to
help. And yet, I don't believe a single one of you would dare
claim to be what God calls a cheerful giver. Because you know everything we
have came from Him. Belongs to Him. Whether we give
or not, it belongs to Him. He gave it, He can take it away.
The Lord gave, the Lord can take it away, take it away. You know,
when the Lord took everything from Job, He said, the Lord gave
it, He took it away, blessed be His name. I pray we can say
that and truly believe that. Again, spiritually speaking,
many people believe they've given God much. The thing I believe
people think they've given God more than anything is they've
given up their sin for Him. What a foolish notion that is.
Giving up our sin? Oh, I would love to, wouldn't
you? How to perform that, I find not. That's what Paul said. Many
people believe they've given God their heart. That's a good
thing to give somebody your heart. You give your spouse your heart.
You try to. Give God your heart. Give God their money. Give God
their time. Give Him their devotion, their worship, their praise.
Give Him their life. Here's the point. No matter what
a person thinks that he or she might have given or be giving
or living to God, giving to God, it all came from Him. We get
no glory in giving. We get no glory in giving. Nothing at all. Anything we've
ever sincerely from the heart given to God, offered to God,
is simply the result of what He's given to us. He gives us
the desire to give every single time. That hit me as I've looked
at this. I pray that I can truly understand
that. Giving is of God. He gets all
the glory in it every single time. Every single time. It all
comes from Him. Now, we looked this morning.
at the unspeakable gift, we're recipients of God's unspeakable
gift. And I want to say some things
on that. Having received the gift of the Lord Jesus Christ,
you and I have received everything. I know sometimes we feel like
we lack something. And our Lord asked this question
once, lacked ye anything? You know, the rich young ruler
who lacked nothing, the Lord told him, there is one thing
you lack. He lacked Christ, the treasure of heaven. God has not
just freely given us all things in Christ. He has. But let's
make sure we understand, Christ is all things. Colossians 3.11,
Christ is all. He's given us light and understanding. Christ is the light. He is our
understanding. He is wisdom itself. We're recipients
of mercy. We've received mercy himself.
Christ is the mercy seat. He is mercy. We have all spiritual
blessings and heavenly places in Christ. You read it this morning.
Name them one by one. Christ is the blessing. He is
the blessing. We have Him. Not only do we have
all the unsearchable riches of Christ, He is the unsearchable
riches. He is all riches. What could
we have that we don't have in Him? What more could we have
than him? What more could we want than
him? I love reading where he said,
I go to prepare a place for you. He went to prepare a place for
us, brethren. Where he is, he might receive us to be with himself.
We might be also. But did you know he is the place?
You know, he is our dwelling place. You know, we say it all
the time. Heaven is Christ. Our home is Him. He's our dwelling
place. In Him we live, move, and have
our being. Right now. Not just in that day. Right now. We live in Him. Right now. Not
only is He the straight and narrow way which leadeth unto life,
He is life. Not only has He given unto us
eternal life, which He said He did, and they shall never perish,
He is our life. Colossians 3, when Christ who
is our life shall appear, then shall we appear also with Him
in glory. He is our life. And again, thinking
about our dear sister, I tell you, when I think about her state,
dear Barbara, I tell you one thing I'm certain of, she's living. Someone will say she died. Oh
no, she lives. Our Lord said this, he that hath
a son hath life. What gift have we received? The
son. So what do we have? Life. Our Lord said, I am come
that they might have life. Talking about his sheep for whom
he laid down his life. I am come that they might have
life, and I love this, and that they might have it more abundantly. What that tells me is the life
she's living is far more life than what we're experiencing
right now. Seriously. And I love what he
told Martha and Mary when Lazarus, he was sleeping, but he was dead.
That's what it says. But our Lord said, whosoever
liveth and believeth in me shall never die. When I get discouraged,
when I think about my life flying by me, which it is very fast,
and when I think about possibly getting sick and realizing the
end is here, And the scriptures say things like, then cometh
the end, the end of all men. But brethren, for us, if we have
God's unspeakable gift, death is life. For me to live is Christ,
to die is gain. We're in a straight betwixt two,
aren't we? To stay here is more needful,
isn't it? Right now. But to depart and be with Christ
is far better. It just is. That's why we pray, Lord, come
quickly. Death is life for the child of
God. What a blessing and what a privilege
to be a recipient of God's gift. What a blessing and what a privilege
to be a joint heir, as scriptures tell us, with Christ. Heirs of God and joint heirs
with Christ. I can't think of anything more
glorious, honestly. Look here back in our text, verse
six again. Do we know who the cheerful giver is? That's the
message, the cheerful giver. Do we know who he is? The unspeakable gift and the
cheerful giver are the same person. When I was preparing the message
for this morning, and then I had the thought of doing the evening
message on the cheerful giver, and then when I finally started
preparing it and I felt like the Lord gave me something, I
got excited. I got very excited because I
have freely received God's unspeakable gift. from the cheerful giver
himself. And I get to stand here and tell
you about it. I get to stand here and tell you all about him. You get to do that every week.
We get to hear this message every week. What a blessed people we
are. Our Lord said this, freely you've received, freely give. We get to give the gospel message
that we didn't. We didn't work for it. Didn't
buy it. We freely received it. And now
by God's grace we're freely giving it, freely declaring it to all
who will hear. He that hath an ear to hear,
let him hear. The Lord let us hear. Quoted these
this morning, but he gave himself. He's the gift, but He gave Himself
for our sins. He loved the church, His bride,
and gave Himself for it, for her. And I thought about this,
when we consider ourselves, we consider our marriages, I hope
I can honestly say I love my wife and give myself for her,
but let me tell you something, I hold back. I hold back. There are things I withhold from
her, and shame on me for doing it. Christ didn't hold back. He withheld nothing. Don't you want to give yourself
like that to your spouse? Whoso findeth a wife findeth
a good thing and obtaineth the favor of the Lord. I pray the Lord will help me to
give myself like that. And I know I'm not going to be able to give
myself like Christ gives himself. but I can pray for Him too. Pray
for Him to cause me to give and give and give as He gave and
as He continues to give daily for us. Now, why did Christ give
Himself? Why did He give Himself? Was
it so that somebody might just maybe receive Him? Well, just maybe
now. He gave Himself. Maybe somebody
will accept Him. What a blasphemous message. Maybe
somebody will let him in. He wants in. I know whenever Brother Don,
I sat under him for most of my life, he would talk about people
saying, well, let God into your heart. He said, you know, there's
a passage that talks about, behold, I stand knocking. But people
take that, well, God's knocking at your heart's door. Won't you
just let him in? He wants in. He's begging to come in. Don
would always say, if God wants in, he'll knock your heart's
door down, lock, stock, and barrel. That's who God is, isn't it? He gave Himself to be had. He didn't give Himself to not
be had. He didn't offer Himself and,
well, we'll see what happens. Oh, no. He gave Himself and His
people have Him. We have Him completely, entirely. We're complete in Him, perfect
in Him, accepted in Him. I want to show you something.
Turn over to the book of Titus. I believe it's right before Hebrews. Titus, Philemon, Hebrews. Titus
chapter 2. Titus chapter 2 and look at verse
13. looking for that blessed hope
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior,
Jesus Christ, what a name, the great God and our Savior. Verse
14, who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity
and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works. Does that sound like he gave
himself for a reason? For something to happen as a
result of? That's what it looks like to me. Now that word peculiar
here means special. God made us special. I like the word special. Anybody
ever tell you you're special? Usually it's a good thing. But the only way we can be special
in God's sight is what this text tells us right here, is by Christ
giving himself for us, redeeming us from all our iniquity and
purifying us unto himself. Gotta be pure. If we're gonna
be special to God, we must be pure. Must be pure, must be clean,
must be whole. And that's God's word. The only
thing special about us is the blood of Christ that cleanses
us from all our sin and shame. This is my beloved son, the Father
said, in whom I'm well pleased, and he's well pleased with us
in him. In him. Accepted in him, we're
a chosen, peculiar, special, holy people in him. Only in him. Only in him. Now,
how did our Lord give himself? We read in Hebrews chapter 10
verse 5 that a body was prepared for him. He gave himself by becoming
a man, took upon him flesh, a man. God became a man. Not only that,
he gave himself by coming in the form of a servant. He's,
God is the servant of God. We'll see if I can quote it,
but Isaiah 42, 1. Behold my servant, whom I uphold, mine elect, in
whom my soul delighteth. He shall bring forth judgment
to the Gentiles. Goes on to say, he shall not
fail. How are we doing as servants of God? We're failing, that's what. But
thankfully Christ served God for us. We're just looking to
Him. Whatever we're doing serving
Him is just trying to say thank you to Him. That's it. That's
it. Looking to Him. Our Lord gave
Himself by dying in our place. He was numbered with the transgressors
and He made intercession for the transgressors. He hung there
between two thieves. And He was in the middle. What do you think
that indicates? You know, when I think about
that man whose place he literally took, Barabbas, I don't know
if the Lord saved him or not, but I like to believe he may
have. If that man ever learned anything about substitution,
buddy, he knew he experienced it unlike any other. Our Lord traded places with us. He traded places with Barabbas,
didn't he? The just for the unjust. that he might redeem us, as it
just said, from all iniquity, purify us unto himself. I love
the way Todd put it at our conference here. He said he took our identity. I've never heard that before.
He took our identity and gave us his identity. Don't you like
that? What's our name, the Lord our
righteousness? Is that not the name wherewith she shall be called?
That's His name, ain't it? That's our name, too. But not
only did He give us His name, He gave us Himself. He gave us His person. He gave us His life. Living,
He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins
far away. Rising, He justified me freely
forever. And one day, He's coming, a glorious
day. Gave us His person, gave us everything. Gave us blood.
When he was on this earth, he gave us his time every single
month. How much time did he give to people in need? You know,
I thought about the place we read of where he went, perhaps
more than any other house, was there in Bethany, Martha, Mary,
and Lazarus. I can't even begin to enter into
how much they must have cherished every moment they got to spend
with him. He gave us everything. Gave us
himself. Gave us his glory. He said, my glory I've given
them. Loves us with the same love the Father loves Him. Here's
my last point. With what attitude did He give
Himself? We could spend some time on this.
I'll try to be brief. Attitude is very important. You
know, every day we wake up and we I quoted a verse this morning. This is the day which the Lord
hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. If that would
pop in my mind first thing every day I wake up, my day might just
start a little better. Maybe. An attitude says a lot
about a person. We ought to be mindful of our
attitude. Let's not worry about other people. Let me worry about
mine. You worry about yours. But what about our Lord? I really
enjoyed thinking about this. With what attitude did he give
himself for his people? When He walked this earth, I
just mentioned He spent time with His people. He helped those
in need. He helped some whom He didn't
end up saving. Now, let's not put the fault
on Him there. The fault was on them. They had
no interest in Him. Remember those ten lepers? He healed all
ten of them. Only one came back and gave Him
praise. Ungrateful. Isn't that what we are? What a positive attitude our
Lord had in everything that he ever did. While he gave himself
for his people on the cross of Calvary, we read that he didn't
open his mouth. When we think about what he endured
because of our sin, if God enables us to really enter into our sin
and think about him having that crown of thorns placed on his
head, you imagine the pain. being mocked, laughed at, derided,
scorned, shamed, beaten and bruised, marred more
than any man. When we think about that, how
he gave himself, and yet did he start Did he open his mouth
and start blaming us? No, he didn't open his mouth.
You think about that. How many times do we suffer,
whatever the reason, and remain silent? What about in our heart? Words may not come out. Are we
cursing God in our heart? You know, I've been told that
I have a good attitude. And if I'm ever told that, that's
a big compliment to me because I know an attitude is very important.
But when I think about my attitude towards God, even now, oh, it's
so shameful. It may be nice to you, but it's
not nice to Him. When it says, again, about Job,
when his wife just said, curse God and die, and it said Job
sinned not with his lips. Job was a sinful man just like
us. He had sinful thoughts just like us. But I get envious when
I read that. I really do. Look here at verse
7 in our text. Back in our text, 2 Corinthians
9, 7. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so
let him give. First, our Lord's attitude was
purposeful. You know, a lot of time, we just
don't have any purpose, do we? Go about our day, just don't
know what we'll do. It's just another day. Every day, our Lord
was about His Father's business. Every day. His face was set like
a flint long before He ever took on that body that was prepared
for Him. He knew exactly why He was coming. He didn't waste
time like we do. Don't we waste a lot of time?
Our Lord was on a mission every single day. He lived the fullest
33 and a half years we could ever begin to imagine. And we
can't begin to imagine. It goes on to say right here
about giving, so let him give, not grudgingly, oh, not sparingly,
not half-heartedly. You ever do anything half-heartedly?
You ever give yourself to your spouse half-heartedly? Your job, your employer, getting
paid. Am I the only one? Did our Lord give himself half-heartedly
for his people? Again, when I think about what
he endured for me, for us, I think this. His heart was in it. You know what he says concerning
you, child of God? You're the apple of his eye. You're the
boughs of his heart. What Paul, when he was writing
the letter, or he had Onesimus writing the letter on his behalf
to Philemon, he said, receive him as mine own bowels. That's
how God receives us, as Christ's own bowels, his heart, his affection. Verse seven, don't give grudgingly
or of necessity. He didn't know it was anything. I mentioned we didn't want him.
To this day, I don't deserve him. I dare not stand here and
boast, having received God's unspeakable gift. I do not deserve
him. Make no mistake about it, I do not. I just don't. But I'm so thankful to have him. He gave himself for some of the
very ones that stood there crucifying him. How do we know that? Because
of what he prayed for them. He said, Father, forgive them,
for they know not what they do. Now, if he prayed that, what
do you think came of that? Does the effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man or the righteous man avail much? You better believe
it does. And I'm so thankful. We could
just assume that the Lord saved them, but he literally tells
us in Acts chapter 2. When Paul, I believe it was Paul or Peter,
was saying, you men of Israel, hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth,
the man of God, approved of God among you by miracles and signs
and wonders. When I say you have taken by wicked hands, have crucified
and slain. I love how it says God loosed
him from the pains of death from the grave because it was not
possible that he should be holding of it. Why? Because it's finished. He made satisfaction. Delivered
for our offenses, raised again for our justification. And that
chapter goes on to say that those men whom he was preaching to
that crucified the Lord, it said they were pricked in their hearts.
They said, men and brethren, what shall we do? They said,
repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus
Christ. It goes on to talk about the
fellowship they had, how that they had everything in common.
They did confess Christ in baptism. Lord saved him, prayed for him,
he saved him. I'll close with this, turn over
with me to Hebrews chapter 12. And you know, on that note, talk
about loving your enemies. We're commanded to love our enemies
too. His enemies crucified him and yet he made his enemies to
be his friends. Pray he'd teach me to love like
he loves, and give like he gives. Right here, Hebrews chapter 12,
look at verse one. Wherefore, seeing we also are
compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset
us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the Lord Jesus, the author and finisher
of our faith. Now look at this. who for the
joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For
consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against
himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. Whenever
we start to be weary and faint in our minds and weighed down
by the sin, by our sin, the disappointment that we bring upon ourselves,
let me give you some advice. Consider Him. When we start to
have a pitiful, poor, sorry-me attitude, look what He did. Look how He gave Himself. Who? For the joy. Now remember what
He endured for us. And He did it for the joy that
was set before Him. I have no excuse to act all pitiful
and sorry for myself all the time. There is no excuse for
that. You know, we talk about not wanting to bring shame and
reproach on our Lord. Well, let's be of good cheer. Let's give thanks unto our God. It was His joy to hang on the
cross for us, brethren, for us no good, dirty, rotten, vile,
wretched sinners. Consider Him. Consider him, and
he did it for joy. If that's not cheerful giving,
I don't know what is, considering him, and how he so freely and
so fully gave himself for a sinner like you or me. If that's not
cheerful giving, I don't know what is. God loveth a cheerful
giver, and I love him too. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable
gift, and thanks be unto God for Christ the cheerful giver.
I pray God might bless His word to our hearts. It's been an honor
to be with you. Lord bless you. What a blessing, what a blessing.
I'm so thankful that I got to hear that, both messages today.
Such a blessing. Such a blessing. Nobody, nobody could give and
love like the Lord Jesus Christ did. Nobody. And I'm certainly thankful for
it. Thank you, Lord bless you. Our Father, thank you for allowing
us to meet here today. Thank you for the gospel we heard.
How you were honored, glorified, magnified in the word of God.
How the saints were edified, encouraged, comforted, got such
assurance. And Lord, I thank you for what
you went through for us. Lord, we can't begin to enter
into it. And Lord Cody talked about our
hearts. Oh, Lord, forgive me for having
such a half of a heart, sometimes no heart to put into it. Forgive me. And God bless these
dear saints. Keep them as they go about their
way. Meet the needs ever home, ever heart. Be with us tomorrow
as we lay a body to rest, a body. And Lord, be with Albert and
his dear, dear family. James and Bonnie and Angie and
the rest of the family. God have mercy on them. Uphold
them by your free, sovereign, glorious grace. Thank you for
being with us. Amen and amen. Good night and
God bless you. I know you got to get on the
road, buddy. You got a long way to go.
