No Other Saviour!

Wayne Boyd November, 23 2025 Video & Audio
Isaiah 43:1-11
This sermon centers on the exclusive and sovereign salvation found solely in Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word of God, who is declared throughout Scripture as the one true Savior. Drawing from Isaiah, John, Acts, and other New Testament passages, it emphasizes that salvation is not achieved through human effort, religious systems, or intermediaries, but is entirely the work of God in Christ, accomplished once and for all at Calvary. This message underscores the personal, eternal, and comprehensive nature of God's redemption—where believers are called by name, redeemed by Christ's blood, clothed in His perfect righteousness, and secured from judgment, sin, and condemnation. It calls the faithful to rest in Christ alone, to continually look to Him as the only refuge, and to live in the freedom and assurance of a salvation that is fully complete, eternally secured, and grounded in the unchanging character of God.

The name of the message today is No Other Savior. No Other Savior. Now, religions in the world say certain people are their saviors. If you talk to someone in Islam, they mention Muhammad. If you talk to someone in Mormonism, they mention Joseph Smith. Every single religion out there can be boiled down to man trying to save himself. Man's works. The grace of God, the free and sovereign grace of God is the only place where you will find that our salvation is in no way, and I mean no way, dependent upon us. It's all of the Lord. Jonah 2.9 says salvation's of the Lord.

Turn, if you would, to Isaiah, Isaiah chapter 43, if you would. Isaiah chapter 43. We'll read a portion of this chapter where God Almighty as Jehovah declares that He is the only Savior. He is the only Savior. He's the one true God, right? He's the one true living God. And beside Him, there's no other God. None at all. And our Savior, who is our Savior? He's God in the flesh. He's the Word of God become incarnate. He's God himself. We are saved by the blood of God. See, God can't die, right? So he becomes a man that he can die in our room and place. Isn't that amazing? And it's all according to the purpose and plan of God from eternity. It's absolutely incredible. He who is called the Word of God became a man, the man Christ Jesus, and he is the only Savior of sinners.

Look at this in Isaiah chapter 43. We're starting verse 1. But now thus saith the Lord. Now that's Jehovah there. Whenever you see Lord like that, it's Jehovah in the Hebrew, which means the self-existent one, which means he needs no one. He has no beginning and no end. He's the self-existent one. He needs no help from anyone. But now, thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not. The two most wonderful words for a Christian to hear is fear not. We don't have to fear a coming judgment because our sins were already judged at Calvary's cross. And there's therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

People say, well, there's going to be a judgment come. Yeah, there is going to be a judgment come. Yeah, there will. The great white judgment throne where all will be raised, whoever lived. But those in Christ will never be judged. There's not going to be some TV screen even telling us what we used to do. There's not going to be that. Because our sins are bought and paid for in Christ. They're covered in the blood of Christ. Isn't that wonderful? Fear not. Look at this. Who's redeemed us? Jehovah. That's wonderful, isn't it, Brother Exodus? Jehovah redeemed us. Look at that. Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. Look at that. I have. It's already done, beloved. Do you know that I was talking to couple guys this week and I told them I said, you know, I was saved 2000 years ago. You were there, Frank. Were you there when I said that to Gary? And Gary's like, I never heard that before. I never heard that. It's true. I was redeemed and saved 2000 years ago by the Lord Jesus Christ. But it was planned and purposed in eternity, wasn't it? By God himself. In Christ is the lamb slain from before the foundation of the world. So that which was planned and purposed had to take place. It took place 2,000 years ago. He redeemed us. Did we have anything to do with that? No. Salvation's of the Lord, isn't it? Isn't that wonderful? It's all of Him. It's all of Him.

Look at this. For I have redeemed you. I have called thee by thy name. Personal. It's a personal calling. He knows every one of His people. I love this. This is incredible. God Himself says this. This is amazing. Thou art mine. Thou art mine.

I didn't have a great relationship with my father in my life. But to read these words that God the Father says, Thou art mine. Oh, how that makes my soul sing. How that makes my soul sing. Here never leave me nor forsake me. Thou art mine. God says that about every one of his born-again, blood-washed children.

When thou passest through the waters, so when we go through trials and tribulations, I will be with thee. That's God himself saying that. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. When thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord, that's Jehovah, thy God, Elohim, the strong and mighty one, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior, I give Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Sebia for thee. Look at that. For I am the Lord, thy God.

It's personal, isn't it? The Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour. Who's our Saviour? Only one Saviour. This is talking about the Messiah, isn't it? This is talking about the Lord Jesus Christ, who's God. This is wonderful. Since thou was precious in my sight, thou has been honorable, and I have loved thee. How long has he loved us? Brother Charlie, how long has he loved us? Amen. Since the beginning of time. Everlasting love, isn't it? It's wonderful. My, that's wonderful.

Therefore will I give men for thee and people for thy life. Again, look at this. Fear not. That's two fear nots now. Fear not. Why? For I am with thee. And remember, he tells us in Hebrews, or the book of Hebrews, the writer tells us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. People in our life will leave us, but God will never leave us. This is wonderful. I'll tell you what. Oh my.

Therefore, fear not, for I am with thee. I will bring thy seed from the east and gather thee from the west. I will say to the north, give up, and to the south, keep not back. Bring my sons from far and my daughters from the ends of the earth, even every one that is called by my name. For I have created him for my glory. I have formed him. Yea, I have made him. Bring forth the blind people. That's us in our natural state. that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Man, we've been given ears to hear and eyes to see Christ now, haven't we? Isn't that amazing?

Let all the nations be gathered together and let people be assembled. Who among them can declare this and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witness that they may be justified, or let them hear and say, it is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant, whom I have chosen. Oh my, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I am the Lord and beside me there is what? No savior. So the name of the message is no other savior.

My listen to this in the book of Job, you know Or actually let's turn to John chapter 1. Let's turn to John chapter 1. So we've seen there in the Old Testament. It's proclaimed That God is the Savior There's no other Savior now, let's go to John chapter 1 and let's see Who the scripture reveals that Savior is? John chapter 1 now we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is was king before he came to this world, wasn't he? He is the word of God. And we know, we've been taught by God, the Holy Spirit, that God became flesh. Well, let's see where the scripture says that. Look at this, first of all, in John chapter 1, verses 1 to 3. In the beginning, that's before time ever was. That's in eternity. In the beginning. Do you know God was perfectly content being God? He didn't need anything. He created all this for His glory and so that we might be redeemed. Isn't that amazing? Look at this. In the beginning was the Word. So we see identified someone here called the Word. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God. So the Word was with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. Oh my. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. So we see that the Creator of all is none other than the Word of God.

Now, go down a little bit, same chapter, verses 14 and 15. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. So the Word, who was God in eternity, becomes flesh. This is the one spoken of in Isaiah that we read about, who said, beside me there's no other savior. This is him. This is the one who spoke to Moses in the burning bush. Oh my. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory as the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bear witness of him and cried, saying, this was he of whom I spake. He that cometh after me is preferred before me, for he was before me.

Now let's go down a little bit in the same chapter to verses 29 to 30. And we see that Christ, who is the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. He come to redeem a people from all nations of the world.

Look at this. John 1, 29 to 30. The next day, John seeth Jesus coming, and saith unto him, and coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Look at that. Behold the Lamb of God. That's what preachers, we preachers hold up Christ and say, Behold the Lamb of God.

And then look at this. This is, He of whom I said, after me cometh a man which is preferred before me, for he was before me. See, Christ is God, and he was sent by the Father. He became a man. He was sent by a Father. Why did he come? Let's go to Matthew chapter one.

Matthew chapter one. Why did he? What was the whole reason that Christ came? It's told us in this verse, and it's absolutely wonderful. We can't save ourselves, can we, Brother Brian? We have no way to pay for even one of our sins, let alone the billions that we commit in a lifetime.

But look at this. And this is why I say our salvation was accomplished 2,000 years ago. We just found out about it. We were talking about that Wednesday night, weren't we, Brother? Yeah, we were talking about that Wednesday night. We just found out about it.

Look at this. Matthew 1, 21. And she, that being Mary, shall bring forth a son. And thou shalt call his name Jesus, Messiah, the Christ. For he shall save his people, what? From their sins. Look at it. That's the mission of Christ. Not to live a life so that we can go, oh, I want to live a life like that. He's God. He's sinless.

Now we do desire to serve Him, and we desire not to be antinomians and go off and do whatever we want, because we know the love of Christ constrains us now. But this here, right here, is the whole reason Christ came to this world. It can all be boiled down to this one verse. Christ came to save sinners.

And did He accomplish it, sister? He cried, it is finished, didn't He? He accomplished it. And notice it doesn't say he died for everyone, it says for his people. Well, who are his people? Well, there are people chosen by God before the foundation of the world. In Christ, Ephesians chapter 1 brings that forth. He died for his people.

So we've seen here in the Old Testament and the New Testament that there's only one Savior. Right? The Lord Jesus Christ. Now turn, if you would, to Acts chapter 4. So the Old Testament and New Testament has brought forth only one Savior, God himself. And we know it's the God-man by grace and by the revealing of the Holy Spirit of God, we know that it's the Lord Jesus Christ.

Look at this in Acts. This is wonderful. Acts chapter 4, verse 10 to 12. Look at this. It's so clear, isn't it? It's so clear, and yet in our natural state, we reject this. It has to be revealed to us. Look at this. Acts chapter 4 verses 10 to 12.

Be it known unto you all, to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, right? He was raised for our justification, the scripture says. Even by him doth this man stand before you whole. Now this is a man at the gate called Beautiful. He'd been lame, if you read the first few verses, he's been lame for years and years and years. And now he's made whole and he's leaping for joy and praising God. And what do they do? They bring him before the council. Oh my, later on. But right now Peter's addressing the people there.

This is the stone which was said not of you builders, which has become the head of the corner. Now here's the verse that tells us right here. Neither is there salvation in any other So that means there's no salvation in Mary. There's no salvation in Buddha. There's no salvation in Muhammad. There's no salvation in Hinduism. There's no salvation in Jehovah Witness, what they preach. There's no salvation in Seventh-day Adventist. There's no salvation in Church of Christ, who believe you have to be baptized to be saved. There's no salvation in the Catholic Church, which believes they're the only true church. There's no salvation in any of those places.

Where's salvation? Amen, brother. Neither is there salvation in any other. There it is, the Lord Jesus Christ. For there is none of the name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. And remember what we saw in Matthew? Calls the name Jesus, for he shall. Now look at, don't we love those little words, brother? It's not he might. He shall, it's not if you let him. No, he shall save his people from their sins.

When did he save us from our sins? 2,000 years ago. Yeah, you trace it back to eternity, really. But then it took place in time and space, didn't it? 2,000 years ago. Oh my, what a Savior. What a Redeemer is Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now if you want, turn to 1 Timothy. 1 Timothy. Oh, my. You see, we're going through different verses here. Oh. He's the only one, the Lord Jesus Christ, the only one we look to for salvation of our souls. Do you know he's the only mediator between God and man? That means a go-between. Do you know the only way we could stand in the presence of God is to be clothed in the royal robe of righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ? And God puts that on us, doesn't he?

And these two verses here are what started the destroying of the refuge of lies. I was a Catholic when I first read these words. And these are the two verses that started to destroy the refuge of lies that my religion was based upon.

First Timothy, chapter two, verses Five and six, look at this. For there is one God. We saw that in Isaiah, didn't we? There is one God. And one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.

See, I used to go to a priest when I was in Catholicism and confess my sins to him. And a fellow told me, why do you go there? Why do you talk to that man? He's a sinner just like you. And I had never read my Bible. And then when I saw this for the first time, there's only one mediator between God and man? See, these priests set themselves up as mediators. There's no man who's a mediator between God and man except God himself in the flesh, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Look at this. For there is one God. There it is. And one meter between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. There it is again. Look at this. What did he do? Who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time. He gave his life for every one of his sheep. Everyone who the Father gave him in eternity, he shed his precious blood for. Isn't that amazing?

My, now turn, if you would, to Zechariah. I know I got us turning around. We're going to go to Zechariah, then we're going to go back to Matthew. I want us to see here that both the Old Testament and the New Testament proclaim Christ. Proclaim Christ.

Zechariah. Zechariah chapter 13. Now remember, the Lord Jesus Christ is the great physician. He's the only physician for sin-sick souls, isn't he? We're diseased and sin-sick souls. But He alone cleanses sinners with His precious blood. He alone does that.

Look at this in Zechariah. It's proclaimed. Oh, look at this, Zechariah 13, verse 1. in that day there shall again there's that little word again there shall be a fountain open to the house of david and to the inhabitants of jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness who's the fountain christ is the fountain isn't he fred he's the fountain christ is the fountain He cleanses us from all our sins. I mean, past, present, and future. Even the secret sins that only God knows that we've committed. And even the sins of omission and commission, even the ones that we don't know we do, they're all forgiven. They're all washed under the blood.

As far as the East is from the West, you know, if you keep going West around this world, you will never stop going West. And if you start going east, you will never stop going east. They never meet. So far are our sins gone from us. They're washed under the blood. Christ took the wrath that was due us, the eternal wrath of God, and He bore it all. Our sins were imputed to Him, and He bore it all. And then God clothes us in the royal robes of Christ's righteousness. so that we can stand in the presence of God forever.

Oh, my. The blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can wash sins away from sinners. The blood of Christ is the only thing that can wash sin-polluted sinners and make us white as snow. That's why we keep saying, look to Christ and live. And as believers, do we not need a steady diet of looking to Christ? Of telling us and preaching to us, look to Christ, look to Christ.

Whenever I listen to messages, I'm always wanting the preacher to tell me to look to Christ. You know why? Because we forget real easy, don't we? We get caught up in the world and things going around in us. That's why I need to remind myself, as I'm reminding other folks, other believers to rest in Christ, I'm reminding myself.

Isn't it amazing? Oh my. Christ alone is our refuge from sin. Christ alone is our refuge from the wrath of God. It's already being appeased, isn't it? Christ alone is the refuge from the law, which has a legal claim upon us. But now we've been redeemed out from under the law of God. Isn't that amazing? He's a stronghold for his people. He's salvation from sin. And this is only found in the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh.

He's the bread of life, isn't he? You can't live without bread, can you? Can't live without water, can you? He's the bread of life and he's the water of life for his people. And he come down from heaven. Remember that too. He's the word of God. We saw that, right? He's the word of God. The word became flesh and dwelt among us. He was sent by the father. Why? Matthew 1.21, to save us from our sins. He's on a mission. That's why the scripture says he set his face like a flint to Jerusalem. He knew he must go. Remember those ladies? They were crying. They were crying around him and he says, weep not for me. Weep for yourselves. Because he's got his eye on the cross. He has to redeem his people from their sins. If he doesn't go to Calvary and shed his blood, none of us are redeemed.

My and he went there willingly and the scripture says he gave up his life He gave his life for us beloved My oh my he's a sinless spotless lamb of God dying for sinners such as we oh My It's amazing so Marvel now Christ is our rest turn if you would to Matthew chapter 11 and Exodus and I were talking about Sabbath and what what Sabbath is and Sabbath is a rest and in the Hebrew It means rest now We're gonna look at a portion here in Matthew chapter 11 Which Just blesses my soul.

Do you know that Christ is the believer Sabbath? He's our rest, isn't he? And is it not rather Brian? Is it not the hardest thing for us to do just to rest in him? Because all the stuff going on in the world But we just keep coming back, don't we? Keep coming back to Him. All the time.

Look at this, I love this. Oh, this is beautiful. And this is a general call, too. But, oh my, this is wonderful. Look at this.

Matthew 11, verses 28 to 30. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you, what? Rest. Look at that heavy laden. You know what that is? That's back in the days, and I didn't know this, so I was out with Jim one time at a garage sale, and there was a huge piece of wood. I mean, it was one of the biggest pieces of wood, and it had two holes in it. And he said, see that? That's a yoke. And I'm not from the country. I'm like, what do you mean? He goes, remember how the Bible says my yoke is easy? He says, they used to put this on, oxen. And beloved, it was the heaviest piece of wood I'd ever, I wouldn't try to lift the end. It was so heavy.

And they called it a yoke and it kept the oxen in place. And then they, you know when the Lord says, are you kicking against the pricks? In the back by the, where the oxen's leg were, they had little pointy sticks, so that when the oxen tried to move back, they'd get poked by them little sticks, they call pricks. And they'd get poked by them, and then they'd go back into place, where they were supposed to be.

So this, when our Lord's talking to them, and he says, come unto me all ye that labor, that's labor and religious works. trying to do things to please God by your own doings. We don't have to do that. We do it, now we labor for the Lord because we love the Lord. We get to do things for the Lord. It's not we have to.

Look at this, all you that labor and are heavy laden, heavy laden down by works. I feel so guilty all the time. You ever been in that position? I have. When I was in religion, I was so laid down. Look at this. And I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. So the yoke of Christ is not a heavy burden. Because what do we do, Brother Brian? We just look to Christ, don't we? Can you look? It's not a heavy burden, is it? Look to Christ and live.

My. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me. Learn of Christ, the all-sufficient Savior who saved his people from their sins. For I am meek and lowly. Oh, he is the meekest one in the world who's ever lived. He came from heaven and submitted himself to the Father's will, humbled himself. The old timers used to say that he abased himself. Actually, in the Hebrew, or in the Greek, that's what's brought forth when we went through Philippians. Remember that with Philippians? He abased himself when he came to this world. He left glory in the angels falling down before him to come to this sin-cursed world. Why? To save his people from their sins. What love Christ has for us. It's absolutely amazing.

Look at this. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye might, shall, amen sister, shall find rest unto your souls. I don't get worked up when people try to yoke me with, you gotta do this and you gotta do that, you gotta dress a certain way. I don't get worked up about that at all. I'm like, you are not gonna yoke me in bondage again. My. I wear a suit in the winter because it keeps me warm. You all know that because in the spring it's gone, isn't it? Oh my.

Oh, look at this again. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Look to Christ and live. The only Savior of sinners. There's no other. And sinners will find no other place of rest for our souls. No other place of rest for our souls, except in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because there's no other place of rest for sinners, but in Christ. But in Christ.

Are you weary? Does this world make you weary? Are you heavy laden in religion? Look to Christ. Look to Christ. Brethren, are you weary going through this world? Look to Christ. Keep our eyes on him. Courage one another to keep looking to Christ. Because we're all just a bunch of sinners saved by grace. We who are the people of God, born again, blood washed, sinners, saved by grace. My.

But you know why we come? Because we love to hear about our Savior, don't we? We love to hear about our King. Oh, my. You know, in the Lord Jesus Christ is found all of God's grace. Remember the scripture said in John 1, he's full of grace and truth. All of God's grace is found in Christ. If you have Christ, you have all of God's grace. given to you.

In Christ alone is found security for the sinner from all their sins. There's no other security, is there, Brother Charlie, than in Christ, the only Savior who saved us from our sins. And you know that in Christ, the punishment for our sins already been paid for. I often tell people, all my sins are forgiven, past, present, and future. And they say, well, what do you mean future? And I say this to them. I say, well, you know, 2,000 years ago when Christ died for me on the cross, all my sins were future. All of them. And if he paid for all of them, then that's all my sins, past, present, and future.

Now, that doesn't give me a license to go out there and go crazy, does it? We don't want to do that. The love of Christ constrains us from sin. I've often had people say, well, you preach that way, people go out and do whatever they want. Unsaved people will. But not God's people. We grieve over our sin, don't we? We say, God, be merciful to me. He's already been merciful to us, hasn't he? And we just live in that mercy. We're still sinners. We're still sinners and we confess our sins still, we still repent, don't we? And come before God and say, oh God, please forgive me. Please forgive me. I did it again.

But think of this. The penalty, the punishment for all our sins has been completely paid for by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. and we are clothed in his perfect righteousness. So we're saved by the blood of Christ and by the perfect righteousness of Christ. He, my, he did it all. The old timers used to say we're saved by, through his blood and righteousness. He lived the perfect life that we never could, and that's counted to us. Isn't that amazing? That's absolutely amazing.

So therefore the law has no claim on us, does it, Brother Brian? No claim on us. None at all. And the believer in Christ, the born-again, blood-washed believer, is now totally accepted by God, being clothed in the royal righteousness of Christ's righteousness. And I mean it's royal righteousness. It's the King's righteousness. It's the King of kings and the Lord of lords' righteousness that he weaved on this earth when he lived the perfect life for us. See how the old-timers, you say, were saved through the blood and righteousness of Christ? The blood redeemed us, saved us from all our sins, and now the righteousness of Christ allows us to stand in the presence of God forever.

And you know what? We're right now, as a believer, clothed in that righteousness. It's not something we're waiting to be clothed in. We're clothed in it right now. And when God looks upon us, he sees Christ. He doesn't see Wayne Boyd. He sees Christ. Put your name in there, if you're a believer. Isn't that wonderful? What a Savior. What a Redeemer. Oh, now we can stand in the presence of God, clothed in the perfect righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So what do we say? What a Savior is Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen and amen.

Brother Brian, can you close us in prayer?
