In Wayne Boyd's sermon, "Six Wonderous Things," the main theological topic is the awe-inspiring attributes of God and the profound truths revealed in Scripture regarding salvation and divine love. The preacher articulates six wondrous truths: the Lamb of God, our Savior's sorrows, the love of God, God as our keeper, the promise of new things, and our ultimate hope in Christ. Key Scriptural references include John 1:29, Lamentations 1:12, 1 John 3:1, Psalm 121, Revelation 21:5, and Revelation 22:12, which collectively underscore the significance of Christ’s sacrificial death, God’s eternal love, and the assurance of believers' perseverance and future glory. The practical significance lies in encouraging believers to meditate upon these truths, cultivating a heart of worship and gratitude in light of God’s redemptive plan, ultimately leading to a rejoicing in their identity as children of God.

Turn, if you would, to Psalm
119. Psalm 119. Have you ever looked at something
in this world and just been held in wonder and awe? Things like Niagara Falls, you
see it the first time, and you see it the second time, you see
it the third time, the fourth time, and it never loses It's wonder. The great lakes that we have
here in Michigan, I just love going to Port Huron and looking
out on that big majestic lake. Never get tired of it. Seeing
those boats and watching them fade, those great big tankers,
watching them fade into nothingness as they go out into the lake.
It's amazing. Just leaves you full of wonder.
The Grand Canyon, I've never been there, but I heard if you
go there, your mouth's going to drop. It's supposed to be
amazing. Rocky Mountains. Even the beautiful sunsets we
have here. We have beautiful sunsets in Michigan and sunrises. My goodness. And some of them
just leave you in awe. as you see them. Vicki always
says, no artist can capture the artistry of the Lord. You can't capture it. He's the
far exceeding greatest artist ever. And when we consider our great
God, we are often filled with wonder and awe, aren't we? When
we consider who He is, He's sovereign, almighty, ruler over all things. And when we consider that, it leaves us in awe. It's one
of the wondrous things that God allows His people to
think upon, who He is. And as we grow in Christ, and
as we learn more about Christ, Again, we're left in awe, aren't
we? It's wondrous. Today I'd like
us to consider six wondrous things from scripture. There's far more,
but I would like us to consider six wondrous things from scripture. We're going to be going to different
scriptures. We're going to use Psalm 119,
18 will be the taking off point for us today. Six wondrous things from scripture. I hope it leaves us in awe. I
hope we leave here thinking of these wondrous things this week. Because we who are the born-again
blood-washed saints, we are the most blessed people in the world.
We truly are. We truly are in Christ. And hopefully from our lips we'll
say, praise his mighty name over these wondrous truths. Look at
this, Psalm 119 verses 17 to 24. Deal bountiful with thy servant,
that I may live and keep thy word. Now look at this. Open
thou mine eyes. We cry all the time for the Lord
to open our eyes, don't we? Lord, teach us the things of
you. Open my eyes, because otherwise we can't see nothing. And think
of all that you know about Christ now. God's opened your eyes to
that. To behold, he says, that I may behold wondrous things
out of thy law. That's the word. Law there is
the word of God. I am a stranger in the earth.
Hide not thy commandments from me. My soul breaketh for the
longing it hath unto thy judgments at all times. Now it says there
I'm a stranger in the earth. That's what happens to God's
people when we're born again, because this world's not our
home. We seek a better country. We're just passing through here.
We realize how temporary this world is, and everything in it,
ourselves included. He says, Thou hast rebuked the
proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
Remove from me reproach and contempt, for I have kept thy testimonies. Now, the only way we keep the
testimonies of the Lord are in Christ. But do we desire to live a holy
life? Of course we do. We sin more
than we want to, don't we? My oh my. Princes also did sit
and speak against me, but thy servants did meditate in thy
statutes. Meditating is just thinking.
That's all that is. It's not some far eastern thing. It's just thinking. while you're
at work, thinking about the things of Christ, thinking about Him. I used to tell you guys when
I was on the construction site, I used to go and put my headphones
on and I'd listen to sermons and stuff and sometimes I'd just
stop it and just think about what I had just heard while I
was working away, doing my thing. That's all it is. That's all
meditation is, just thinking about it. Thy testimonies also
are my delight and my counselors. See, the word of God's our counselor,
isn't it? It keeps us, it tells us, it instructs us in our everyday
life, in how we are to be with people, right? It's instructive,
isn't it? Yeah. My oh my. But it's also our delight, you
know why? Because it tells us about Christ. These are the green pastures
of God's word. And what are green pastures to
a sheep? Food. Right? Sheep food. Sheep food, isn't it? Oh, that's
wonderful. And there are certain specific things revealed in scriptures
that we're called upon to behold as matters of unquestionable
truth. And that's what we're gonna look
at. These six wondrous truths are unquestionable truth that
we're gonna look at today. Unquestionable from the word
of God. And we're to behold them with
confident faith, reverent wonder, deep gratitude, and exalting
praise. So let us look at six of these
wonders of divine revelation. The first is that I'd like to
consider is the Lamb of God. The Lamb of God. Turn, if you
would, to John chapter 1, verse 29. Here is the great miracle. The seed of the woman. Think
of this, too. You ever thought of this? The
Eternal. The Eternal One in time. The Eternal One in time. The Word of God made flesh. The everlasting Son of God. The everlasting Word. made flesh,
the eternal one, again, in time. Our minds just, but it's truth,
right? It's unquestionable truth, and
we believe it. By God's grace, we believe it. We believe it. The God-man, the
fact that the Lamb of God is the God-man, he's 100% God, and
he's 100% man. My. He's the seed of the woman. That's a great miracle. Because
we're all from the seed of man. But he's the seed of the woman.
Conceived in Mary's womb by the Holy Spirit of God. Look at this in John 129. Behold the Lamb of God. Behold. Look at him. That's what John
the Baptist is saying. Behold the Lamb of God, which
taketh away the sin of the world. I'm calling on you this day,
safe sinner or lost sinner, I'm calling on you this day to behold
the Lamb of God. Behold Him. Behold Him as the sin atoning
sacrifice sent by the Father to redeem His people from their
sins. Behold the Lamb of God. Behold
He who bore our sins and carried them all away, beloved. Behold
Him. Now some of you today or some
who will listen to this message are without Christ, lost and
under the wrath of God. And the weight of your guilt
and sin is heavy upon your soul, and the terror of God's wrath
is before you as you contemplate your sins. You may feel like you're sinking
into hell, You may feel like there's nothing you can do about
it. You may feel helpless and miserable and wretched when you
consider that you've sinned against the Holy God. And I call you now, like John
the Baptist did in this text, behold the Lamb of God, who taketh
away the sin of the world. Behold Him. Behold Him. looked to Christ as the Jews
looked to the brazen serpent, and they were saved. And all
we who are gathered today, we who believe in our but sinners
saved by the grace of God, and now we rejoice in the complete
finished work of Christ, the sin atoning in the work of Christ.
I say, behold the Lamb of God, behold our Savior. Behold Him. in his majesty. Behold him in
his humility dying on the cross for our sins. Behold in awe and
wonder him being risen from the grave for our justification.
And be in awe and wonder that he now sits at the right hand
of the Father interceding for us. Behold the Lamb of God. My Whatever your soul's trouble
is, whatever your need is, beloved, whatever your heart craves, whatever
your present situation is, what we need to do this hour is behold
the Lamb of God. That's what we need to do. Just
look to Him during this time. And when we leave here, too,
behold Him. Behold the eternal Son of God
entering into time. becoming a man, fully man and
fully God. Behold, behold the Lamb of God
living the perfect life for us. Behold the Lamb of God beaten
and dying upon Calvary's cross, crying it's finished. And behold
the Lamb of God, the risen Christ seated at the right hand of the
Father. Behold it all in wonder, beloved, This is our Savior. This is our Redeemer, the Lord
Jesus Christ. And let we who are the redeemed
of the Lord never forget that Jesus Christ is the Lamb provided
by God. God provided Him, provided Himself
a Lamb, Himself as a Lamb. Oh my. And let we who are the
redeemed of the Lord never forget that Jesus Christ is the lamb
sacrificed by God for our sins. Because God gave his own son
to die for us. And never forget that we who
are the redeemed never forget that the Lord Jesus Christ is
a lamb who's accepted. And all who are in Him are accepted
by God. This is one of the wondrous things
of the scripture, isn't it? We're accepted in the beloved,
in the Lamb of God, and nowhere else. And let we who are the redeemed
of the Lord never forget that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb
of God, He is God. that it's God himself who saved
us. The eternal word became flesh
and dwelt among us and gave his life for us. Oh, let we who are the Lord's
people, the redeemed, rejoice. Behold the Lamb of God in worship. Behold the Lamb of God in wonder. Behold the Lamb of God and be
ravished with his mercy and his love and his grace. Behold the
Lamb of God and be broken over our sin and indifference. Behold
the Lamb of God and be revived, renewed, and refreshed in him. Behold the Lamb of God in all
the scriptures as he's prophesied, typified, identified, crucified,
and glorified. And let us rejoice, we who are
blessed of the Lord. Let us rejoice. Let us meditate
upon this wonderful truth this week. And the second wonder from scripture
I'd like us to consider is our Savior's sorrows. Turn, if you
would, to Lamentations, Chapter 1. Lamentations is right after
the book of Jeremiah. Lamentations, Chapter 1. Oh,
and as we read this verse, let us hear the Savior's voice, the
suffering Savior's voice. Oh, as he suffers as our substitute. Verse 12, he calls for us to
behold with reverence his sufferings, his souls as our great substitute. He says this in verse 12, is
it nothing to you all that pass by? It was at a time, wasn't it?
It's not now for the believer. Behold, again, look behold, and
see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith
the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
That's when the wrath of God fell upon our Savior, and that
wrath that was due us fell upon him. And he says here, he says
here, is it nothing to you, all you that pass by? Remember those
folks that passed by at the cross, wagged their mouths at them?
Said he saved others, can't save himself. He's dying for a number
that no man can number. And he says here, behold and
see. if there be any soul like unto
my soul. Now we go through, we have sorrowful
times in this life, but let us remember that our Savior was
a suffering Savior too. And Paul says, and I know it's
not like this to us, but it is according to the scripture, our
afflictions are but light afflictions. Christ had all the wrath of God,
that was due for all the elect of all the ages poured out upon
him. Is there any sorrow like his
sorrow? He did it for us. He did it because of his great
love for us. And let us think back, and by
face I, Let us see the son of God hanging upon the tree, the
cursed tree. You can't even recognize him.
He's so beaten. He's humiliated. And God's wrath is not withheld in any way, but
poured out upon him for our sins. And in our room and place, behold
the Lamb of God. Behold Him. In His body, in His
heart, and in His very soul, the Son of God was filled with
soul, suffering God's wrath for our sins in our room and place.
In the room and place of sinners. That's who we are as the redeemed
of the Lord. Safe sinners. Beyond her amazing sight I see
the incarnate Son of God expiring on the cursed tree and weltering
in his blood. Behold, a purple torrent run
down from his hands and head. The crimson tide puts out the
sun, his groans awake the dead. The trembling earth, the darkened
sky, proclaim the truth aloud. And with the amazed, centering
cry, this is the Son of God. So great, so vast a sacrifice,
may well my hope revive. If God's own son thus bleeds
and dies, the sinner sure may live. Oh, that these chords of love
divine might draw me, Lord, to Thee. Thou hast my heart. It shall be thine, thine it shall
ever be. And our Savior says here, behold,
my sorrow. Is there any sorrow like unto
my sorrow? What was the source of his sorrow? Well, the Lord afflicted him
in the day of his fierce anger. See, our sins had to be paid
for, didn't they? The law demanded it. God's justice demanded it.
And so God's wrath was poured out upon the Savior in our place. Turn if you would to Isaiah chapter
53. Oh my. Isaiah chapter 53 verses 9 and
10. Oh, the Lord God the Father afflicted the
Son in the day of His fierce anger. Look at this, Isaiah 53
verses 9 and 10. And He hath made His grave with
the wicked and with the rich in His death, because He had
done no violence, neither was there any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him. He hath put Him to grief,
that Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin. That's our
sin. That's my sin. Is it yours? Oh my. God the Father made Christ an
offering for the sins of his people. He shall see his seed,
he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall
prosper in his hands. What does that mean? All the
elect shall be saved. Of all the ages. What was the
cause? of his soul. Turn, if you would,
to 1 Peter chapter 2. And I'll read 1 Peter 3.18. It
says, For Christ also has suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh,
but quickened by the Spirit. The just one dying for the unjust.
Well, that's us, the unjust, right? Oh my. Look at this in 1st Peter
chapter 2 verses 21 to 25. 1st Peter chapter 2 verses 21
to 25. For even here unto where ye called,
because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example
that ye should follow his steps. who did no sin, look at that,
sinless, no guile, neither was guile found in his mouth, who
when he had reviled, reviled not again. When he suffered,
he threatened not, but committed himself to him that judges righteously. He put his soul in God's hands.
Who his own self bare all sins, the sinless one, remember, the
just one dying for the unjust, he bore all sins. They were impudent
to him in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin
should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye are healed.
Look at this, oh this is beautiful. For ye were as sheep gone astray. That was us. Off we went. Not even looking for the shepherd
of our souls, but look at this, but now, but are now returned
unto the shepherd and bishop of your souls. Oh my, isn't that
wonderful? We weren't looking for the shepherd,
but he came looking for us, didn't he? Oh, he did. Why did he endure such sorrow?
For he endured all the wrath of God that was due us, that
he might redeem his people, that he might save his people from
their sins, and that we might be clothed in his perfect righteousness.
It's wonderful. Wonderful. My oh my. One commentator said
the death he died was our death. Our death. He died in our room
and place as our substitute, didn't he, before God's law and
justice. So not a drop of God's wrath should ever touch us. That's
wondrous. That's a wondrous truth, isn't
it? My, oh my. May we be in awe and wonder as
the sinless one, the Lord Jesus Christ, died for sinners such
as we. And may we rejoice Through his
sorrows, we have eternal joy. You ever think of that? Through
his sorrow, we have joy. That's amazing. Through his suffering,
we will never suffer the wrath of God being poured out upon
us. Oh my. So he suffered that we
might never suffer. He was sorrowful that we might
have eternal joy. That's incredible. I'll tell
you, no one's loved me like that. Not even my own mom. And I know,
you know how much moms love their children. Doesn't even come close. My, what a savior. What a redeemer
is Jesus Christ our Lord. You moms, you think how much
you love your kids, and it's, I tell you what, You know, they
say that even if a child or a young man is guilty of a crime, the
mom won't believe it. But this love is even greater.
And I'm not diminishing the love of a mom. I'm not doing that
at all. Because it's great love. But oh, my. This is eternal love. This is eternal love. The third
wonder I'd like us to consider is the love of God. The love
of God. It's eternal. It's eternal love. Turn, if you would, to 1 John. 1 John, chapter 3. In 1 John, chapter 3, John calls
us to behold something. So we've seen Christ say, we've
seen John the Baptist say, behold the Lamb of God. We've seen Christ
say, behold my suffering. And now we're gonna see John
here tell us to behold something too. 1 John chapter three, verse one.
Look at this. And this is, John calls us to
the whole God's love with deep gratitude and joy and also triumphing
confidence because this love is overcoming love. It overcame
our sins, beloved. We couldn't pay the price for
one sin. This great love sent Christ to
pay for all our sins. Look at this. Behold what manner
of love the Father hath bestowed upon us. Behold. Behold this
love. Don't let it be commonplace.
Behold it. Meditate upon it. Think upon
it. Behold this great eternal love. Because it's real for the
believer. It's real. Behold what manner of love the Father
hath bestowed on us that we should be called the sons of God. That God should send his spirit
into our hearts. That God would adopt us and we're
called his sons. Sinners. Be whole, be in awe, be in wonder
of this great love that the Father hath bestowed upon us. He's bestowed
it upon his people, isn't he? In Christ. So behold it, just
be in awe this week. Think about it, meditate upon
it this week and just be in awe of this wondrous love. And the
fact that we're adopted by God. How can I talk about the love
of God except in and through Christ alone? I can't talk about the love of
God outside of Christ because the love of God is in Christ. And we who are in Christ, we
have the love of God. And we've seen it manifested
towards us, haven't we? By that great sacrifice I spoke
about earlier, the Lord Jesus Christ dying on Calvary's cross
for us. Think of this. Think of this.
In love, the Father chose us. He didn't just say, well, yeah,
I want Zane and Dave and Dan and Kevin. He didn't just say
it like that. He said, you're the son of my love. You're the
son of my love. You're the son of my love. Isn't that wonderful? Isn't that
wonderful? He did that for all his people,
male and female. Oh, it's wonderful. And in love,
he blessed us in Christ, didn't he? Here we are, poor beggars,
bankrupt sinners. And I'm looking at the richest
people in the world now. We are spiritually rich in Christ. We have all spiritual blessings
in Christ. He has blessed us with all spiritual
blessings, God the Father, in Christ. And it was because of
his love that he's done that. And in love, think of this too,
we know what we are, right? We know we're just a bunch of
sinners, right? But in love now, he beholds us
wholly and unblameable in love. That's how he's, we can't fathom
that, can we? But it's a wondrous truth. See,
that's why, that's why, as we looked at in the first, the verse
from Psalm 119, the wondrous things in his book, and this
is just a few things we're looking at. So think of this, here we
are sinners to the core, from the top of our heads to the bottom
of our feet, and yet God looks at his people as holy, unblameable,
that means with no spot, Beautiful in His eyes. They're
in Christ. They're clothed in His perfect
spotless righteousness. You know He adores us? Do you know Christ is ravished
with His bride just as we're ravished with Him? Isn't that amazing? Oh my. And do you know that God
the Father loves us as He loves Christ? We saw that in our study
in John 17. Dave and I, our heads were exploding
for a couple of weeks over that because it's true. He loves us
as Christ, as he loves Christ. God the Father loves us like
that, beloved. It's true. It's wondrous. It's a wondrous
truth, isn't it? And in love, he predestinated
us unto the adoption of children in and through the Lord Jesus
Christ. And again, what we just saw in
that verse there, behold what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. He
did all that in love, in his eternal, unchanging love. See,
all love can change due to circumstances, can't it? God's love never changes. You ever hear, you remember,
those of us who came out of religion, do you remember, do you remember,
you used to think you did something wrong, you sinned and you thought,
oh man, God's not going to love me anymore. I'm going to get a beating because
God's going to be angry with me. You know God's never angry
with his people. And you know, even when he chastens
us, he chastens us in love. You know that? He doesn't chasten
us in anger. Never. If we're chastened, it's
for our good, but it's in love. It's in love. It's amazing. I'll tell you. It changed my
whole, when the Lord saved me and I came out of religion, that's
one of the grave clothes I had, was I thought God was angry with
me. But you know, his love for me
has never changed, even when I was dead in trespasses and
sins. It was me who was at enmity with him. It was me. But his love, his love, think
of this, his love, if you're a believer, his love has been
set upon you for eternity. That's truth. That's a wondrous
truth. And it's never changed. Never changed. What about all
those rebellious times I had? God loved me through it all.
I think he just let me go through all that stuff though. To see
the hopelessness of it. The hopelessness of it. And part
of it was my own sin. My own lust. But he just let
me go through it all. My oh my. See, what does God
do? What does God have to do for
a man or woman not to be saved? Just leave them alone. Just let
them be. Go headlong right into hell. What does God have to do for
us to be saved? Everything. Everything. My, oh my. The reason he has
to do everything is because there's none that seek after God, there's
none that understand God, there's none righteous, no not one. So he's got to do everything,
doesn't he? It's not God's done all he can, now the rest is up
to you. That's a bunch of, that's just lies. It's God's done everything
for my salvation. He's done it all. Jesus Christ
is the alpha, the beginning, and He's the omega, the end,
and He's everything in between of my salvation. Is He so for
you? That's the scriptural Christ,
isn't it? That's who Christ is. Oh, it's
wonderful. We rejoice in that. And then
think of this. In love, God the Father accepts
us in the Lamb of God. the Lord Jesus Christ. We're
accepted in the Beloved because of God's great love for us. His
unchanging love. Now, when I was unsaved, I didn't
have a clue God loved me. I had no clue at all. No clue
at all. You know, I had heard people
say, well, God loves everybody. But I thought, how can he love
me? I'm such a sinner. I honestly thought that. How
could he love me? I'm just such a wretch. And I knew that before
the Lord saved me. I just didn't want to hear it
from somebody. You know why? Because it offended my pride. Yeah? I didn't think I was that
bad of a sinner. Just like a 20 percenter. You find out, oh, you're a 100
percenter. It's shocking, isn't it? But it's true. Behold the Lamb of God, who takes
away the sins of the world. Behold Him. Oh, and He accepts
us in love. Hereby perceive we the love of
God, because He laid down His life for us. In this way was
manifest the love of God towards us because that God sent his
only begotten son into the world that we might live through him
here in his love, not that we love God, but that he loved us
and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. God did that, beloved. Hallelujah. What a merciful savior. God's love towards his people
in Christ is sovereign, free love. all according to his mercy and
grace. And God's love towards his people in Christ is eternal,
everlasting, unchanging love. And God's love towards his people
in Christ is immutable, indestructible love. There's nothing that will
destroy his love for us. We can't understand that, can
we? It's indestructible, beloved.
He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, His love
for us is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Praise be
to God. Oh, that's our Savior. That's our God. Oh, it's wonderful. I'll tell you what. Behold, the love of God manifests
to all by the death of his son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is
the Lamb of God. God manifests his love, his love for sinners, by sending
Christ, right? He did. He sent him into this
world to die for sinners. Paul said, of whom I'm chief.
My, oh my. Aren't you thankful God saved
you? Isn't it marvelous? It's marvelous, isn't it? It's
marvelous. It's wonderful. The fourth wonder
from scripture I like to consider is God is our keeper. He's our
keeper. Oh my, turn if you would to Psalm
121. Psalm 121. This psalm says it
all. I'm just going to read this and
not say hardly anything on this because this psalm will say it
all. Just a little wee psalm, eight
verses. Oh my. Behold this wondrous truth
set before us in the scriptures, again. Remember? These wonderful
truths set before us in his law, in the scriptures. Look at this.
Psalm 121a, let this burn in our hearts. I will lift up mine
eyes unto the hills, for whence cometh my help? Where's my help
come from? Oh, my help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven
and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to
be moved. He that keepeth thee will not
slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is my keeper. Look at that. You see why I don't
have to say anything about this? Isn't it wonderful? This is for
all of us as believers. The Lord's our keeper. Look at
this. The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall
not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall
preserve thee from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul. He
keeps us. His grace is keeping grace, beloved,
because of His great love for us. So if His love is eternal,
His grace is eternal too, isn't it? His keeping grace is eternal. Oh my. He shall preserve thy
soul, the Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming
in from this time forth and forevermore. The Lord's our keeper, beloved.
That's a wondrous truth set forth in scripture. The Lord is our
keeper. The fifth wonder I'd like us
to consider is all things new. Turn, if you would, to Revelation
chapter 21. Revelation chapter 21, all things
new. And hear the son of God. Here
we're seeing Revelation 21. We will hear the son of God,
our savior. He declares another wondrous
thing revealed in his word. It's in verse five, but we're
going to read verses one to seven of Revelation 21. Scripture says
this, therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.
All things are passed away, behold all things are become new. Second
Corinthians 5.17. Now look at this in Revelation
21 verses 1 to 7. And I saw a new heaven and a
new earth. Look at this. For the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away. And there was no more sea,
no more division. See, the seas divide us, don't
they? No more sea, no more division, no more division. And I saw,
and I, John, saw the holy city of New Jerusalem coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men. There's that word behold again,
eh? Behold. Be aware. Take note of this.
The tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His people. Look at that. Isn't that wonderful?
And God Himself shall be with them and be their God. God is
going to be with us forever. Forever. And God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death.
Look at the things. We go to the land of no mores.
Look at this. No more death. Neither soul. No more soul. No crying. No crying. Neither shall there
be any more pain. It's all gone. We never gonna
feel pain again. Man, we feel pain in this body,
right? We get up in the morning, we're
like, Right? My back every morning just starts
talking to me. Right? My oh my. No more of that. No more of that. For the former things are what?
Passed away. And look at this. Again, we're going to see another
behold. And he said, and he that sat on the throne, that's Christ,
said, behold, I make all things new. new body, right? We got a new nature now. We're
going to have a new body then. We're going to be in a new place.
There'll be a new heaven, new earth. There'll be no more pain,
no more sorrow, no more crying, no more suffering. Oh my. And he said, unto me write,
for these words are true and faithful. God's words are true. This Bible is true and faithful.
Right here, true and faithful, this word. And look at this, and he said
unto me, it is done. Look at that. It's done. The whole reason why this earth
was created, the whole reason why Christ came to this world,
the whole reason why time and space was created, it's done.
It's done. I am the Alpha, the beginning,
and the Omega, the end. The beginning and the end. I
will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of life freely.
Are you thirsty? Are you a sin-sick, thirsty sinner
like we who are the people of God? Then come to Christ. Behold the Lamb of God. He that
overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son. Isn't that wonderful? Oh, let us this week think about
the glory that awaits us in eternity. That's just a little glimpse
of it. That's just a little glimpse of it. Think of the glory that's
awaiting us. Think of who we're going to see,
Christ. Isn't he the most important person
we're going to see? Oh, we've got loved ones up there
too, don't we? Who died in the faith. We're going to see them
too. Oh, yeah, we will. We're going
to see Christ. Oh, my. Oh. And what happens when we think
about the glory that awaits us in eternity? We cry, how long,
Lord? How long? Even so, come quickly,
Lord. Come quickly. And you know what? It won't be long. It won't be
long. Because our life is like a vapor.
We're either gonna die and go to be with the Lord, or if we're
alive, when he comes back a second time, we'll be translated and
caught up into heaven. It'll be wonderful. Either way,
it'll be wonderful, right? Because death's just a door,
isn't it? Pass into glory. The sixth wonder and the last
wonder I'd like to consider is our hope. Stay there in Revelation
chapter, chapter, let's actually go to 22, one
chapter over. And this last, this last wonder
is from Revelation chapter 22. Our blessed hope is the glorious
appearing of our great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we wait with great anticipation and joy for, again, for either
His coming or Him taking us home, don't we? We know we're going
home. We know we're going home to be
with Him. Because our hope is in Christ and Him alone. Look
at this in Revelation chapter 22. He tells us three times that
He's coming quickly. You know that? He's coming quickly. People scoff, say, oh, where
is he? He's coming. One day is like a thousand years.
That's not very long for him. You've heard me say, he's only
been gone two days. Right? In his timing. My, look at this. Revelation 22, verses 1 to 7.
And again, we're going to see the word behold through here,
too. And he showed me a pure river of water, of life, clear
as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the
Lamb." Again, that's the Lamb of God. That's the Lord Jesus
Christ. In the midst of the street of
it, and on either side of the river, there was the tree of
life. The leaves of the tree were for
healing of all, healing of the nations. And there shall be no
more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be
in it. and his servants shall serve
him, and they shall see his face." We're going to see the face of
Christ. We're going to see him, like
we see each other. Oh my. Remember how I said we're
already marked, right? People are worried about the
mark of the beast. We're already marked. Ephesians chapter 1 tells
you that. We're already marked. We got
the mark of God on us. It says we're his. We're owned
by him. Because he created us and he purchased us. Look at
this. And they shall see his face and his name shall be in
their foreheads. And there shall be no night there.
And they need no candle, neither light of the sun, for the Lord
God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever and ever."
Do you know what is much? I like night just to look at
the stars, but I sure love sunshine day. It's going to be eternal
day there. Dave, you can't do no work there. It will be eternal day though.
Eternal day. My oh my. And there shall be
no night there, and they need no candle, neither the light
of the sun. Look at, who's our light? For
the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever
and ever. And he said unto me, these sayings are faithful and
true. Look at that. This is a faithful
and true saying. And the Lord God of the holy
prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things
which must shortly be done. Behold, look, here we go. I come
quickly. That's the Lord saying, I come
quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings and the prophecy
of this book. Now look at Revelation 22 verses 12 to 13. And behold,
here he says it again, I come quickly. And my reward is with
me to give every man according to it as his work shall be. I
am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, the first
and the last. So that's the second time in this chapter that he
said, behold, I come quickly. Now go down to verses 17 to 21. And the spirit and the bride
say, come, come to Christ. Come to Christ. And let him that
heareth say, come. and let him that is athirst come,
and whosoever will let him take in the water of life freely.
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the
prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things,
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
And if any man shall take away from the words of this book and
this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the book of
life, and of the holy city, and from the things which are written
in this book. He which testifies these things
saith surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so come Lord Jesus,
the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. So Christ is our hope and our
hope is coming back. And if we die while we're on
this earth, we're going to see our hope face to face then. Face to face, just like we see
one another. It'll be glorious, beloved. So behold these wonderful
truths we've looked at today from the Holy Scriptures. I'll
pray it, bless your heart. Bless my heart, putting the message
together and just looking at these things and thinking, oh
my, these are just wondrous truths. Wondrous truths. May we consider
this week the great salvation that we have in Christ. The great salvation that we have
in Christ. The rest that we have in Christ. We've ceased from
our labors. The peace that we have in Christ.
The hope that we have in Christ. And it's all in and through him
and him alone. And what do we say? To God be
the glory. To God be the glory. Great things
he hath done. Brother Dan, can you close us
in prayer?
