Wat is your hope? Do you hope in yourself? Do you hope in your intellect? Do you hope in your strength? So you hope your works will get you to heaven? All these things are false hopes there is only one hope for sinners and that is the Lord Jesus Christ who came to this world to save sinners! Praise His mighty name!

The sermon titled "Hope" by Wayne Boyd addresses the foundational doctrine of hope as it relates to the believer's faith in Christ. Boyd emphasizes that genuine faith is a miraculous work of God, which leads to an eternal hope grounded in the person of Jesus Christ. He illustrates this by referencing Colossians 1:5, where Paul speaks of a hope laid up in heaven, highlighting that this hope is distinct from the temporary hopes that the world offers. The key argument is that true hope springs from understanding Christ's preeminence and His unique role as the only mediator between God and man, thus producing love within the Christian community. This message urges believers to anchor their hope in Christ alone, reinforcing the significance of God's abundant mercy and grace in securing both justification and sanctification for His people.

I was struck by what Brother
Brian read there in John chapter six. This just struck me right
here. Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of
God that you believe on him. He has sent. If you believe on
Christ, it's a miracle of God. It's a work of God. It's a work
of God. Isn't that wonderful? My. This is the work of God, that
you believe on Him. You know, when we were singing
that song, I was one of them lost sheep
that didn't see Christ. He sought me. I wasn't looking
for the Lord when He found me. I was just living in my own depravity
and my own filth. not caring about anything and
he found me and you know what now he's everything to me now
he's everything I can't imagine living without him and you know
I was thinking something this week as I was I actually ventured
out across the road there and got myself a burger and came
back but as I was coming back I thought I thought Lord even
all those times I've said I don't know how I lived without the
Lord before he saved me I didn't live without the Lord before
He saved me. He watched over every one of
His sheep, even when we were dead in trespasses and sins,
and carried us through it all, beloved. Isn't that amazing? Oh my, I was rejoicing by the
time I got home. I was just praising His name.
There's never been a time when His love is not being said upon
you or I as God's people. Never. That's just, that's amazing
grace, isn't it? That's just amazing grace. Open
your Bibles, if you would, to Colossians chapter 1. Colossians
chapter 1. The name of the message is hope.
Hope. One word. Hope. What's the definition
of hope? Well, in the English Bible, or
in the English dictionary, it's defined as a feeling of expectation
and a desire for a certain thing to happen. Again, a feeling of
expectation and a desire for a certain thing to happen. Now,
in our text here, we'll just be reading three verses in Colossians
chapter 1. we're reading verses 1 to 3,
and the word hope is used in verse 5. And the Greek word is
defined as a desire of some good with expectation of obtaining
it. So very similar to the English
definition, but added with the expectation
of obtaining it. Let's read verses 1 to 3 here
in Colossians chapter 1. We give thanks, again, this is
written to God's born-again, blood-washed people in Colossus.
The Gnostics have come in, and Gnostics were false teachers.
The Gnostics had come in and said that Christ is just merely
one mediator of many on the way to God. So what Paul's going
to do, if you read this letter, Paul is going to set forth the
supremacy of Christ. all through this letter, that's
the theme of this letter, is the supremacy of Christ, that
he's the only mediator between God and man. And so Paul, we
see right here, right off the bat, again like we saw in Galatians
in our study in Sunday School last week, that Paul right away
sets forth Christ in his preeminence. We give thanks to God and our
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since
we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, not in multiple mediators,
but on one mediator, one, Christ Jesus, and of the love which
he hath to all the saints, for the hope, again, that expectation,
a desire of some good to come with obtaining it, the hope which
is laid up for you in heaven. Where have you heard before in
the word of the truth of the gospel?" Now in verse 4 of our
text here, we see that Paul had heard of their faith. He'd heard
of their faith, and he heard of their faith from a dear preacher
named Epaphroditus. He had come to Paul, and some
believe he was the pastor at Glass, we don't know, but he's
probably one of many people who preached there. And he had come
to Paul with a good report about the Colossians, about the Colossian
church. And Paul had never been there,
but he had heard of them. And he brings forth this good
report. He says, since we heard of your
faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have to all
the saints. So we see here, faith in Christ produces a love for
the saints. It's a product of the faith which
we've been given in Christ Jesus. That's why we have a love for
one another that we didn't have before the Lord saved us. We
didn't have a love for God's people. We didn't have a love
for Christ. We didn't have faith in Christ. We didn't want to
hear the gospel. That was my personal thing. I
didn't want to hear it. I didn't want someone to tell me I was
a sinner. That was a guy down the street. But I found out otherwise,
didn't I? I found out otherwise. So did
you. So we see here that Paul had
heard of the faith and love with the brethren, and had a class
for each other, and for all the saints. And notice the object
of their faith is Christ. He's the object of their faith,
just like the object of our faith is Christ. He's the one object. He's the sole object of our faith.
You take Christ out of what we believe, and then we have nothing.
We have absolutely nothing. We have no salvation, no justification,
no sanctification, no redemption, nothing. Nothing. But in Christ, we have everything,
don't we? We have everything. So Paul's bringing that. See
how he's slowly weaving the supremacy of Christ together? Before he's
going to deal with the major issue of the Gnostics, he's bringing
forth here the supremacy of Christ, right here. And if you read further
down in the chapter in your own time, you're going to see him
just blow that up and giving Christ all the preeminence. Oh,
it's incredible. So he's setting it right here
before them, though, that Christ is the only hope of believers.
And one commentator said that the love which is mentioned here
that they have for each other is like cement that holds bricks
together. I like that. The love that Christ
sheds abroad in our heart is like the cement that holds us
all together. It's incredible. It's absolutely
incredible. And the love the saints had for
one another in Colossi united them together just as it does
here. You know before I came here I had heard about you guys. When I first got a phone call,
I had been listening to some of Jim's messages for about a
year, because I had just discovered him up here. I didn't even know
any of you guys were up here. But Donny Ballard told me about
you guys after you first called me. And he said, Wayne, we're
a wonderful group up there. And so you guys were known in
the Grace community as a very tight-knit church. a church that
supported missionaries and supported people. Bruce Crabtree had told
me that for years you guys helped him out, and so I'd heard about
that and heard about the love that you had for one another,
but now I get to experience it with you all. Now I get to experience
it. It's wonderful. And so this is
what Paul's now, Paul's heard about them. He's heard about
the love that they have for one another, the love that they have
for the gospel, and that they're united. And look at verse 5. For the hope which is laid up
for you in heaven, wherever you heard before in the word of truth
of the gospel. So in the preceding verses, Paul
gives thanks for their faith and love. And faith, again, is
a gift of God, right? It springs, it springs out of
God's mercy and grace. He gives it to us. And that faith
again has one object, which he's brought forth already, which
is Christ Jesus our Lord. And what is the fruit of the
spirit? Remember, love. Love, joy, peace, all these things
are fruits of the spirit. It's not fruit of the flesh,
remember, because religion, they try to make you do it all. But
you can't produce it. You can't. I know, I tried. It doesn't work. You just fall
flat in your face. But the Holy Spirit can work
that in us, beloved, and He does. And we don't ever see our own
growth, like I said many times, because all we got to do is look
inside and go, we're not very patient, we're not very, we're
not very loving, we're not very, right? We know. But others can
see it in us. Others can see that growth and
grace in us. My, oh my. And look at this. Look at this verse again, for
the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, where have you
heard before in the word of truth of the gospel? Now in this world,
in this world many place hope in different things. Many people
place hope in different things. But you know the hope that the
people in this world put The things that the people of this
world put their hope in are all temporal. It's all temporal. But the hope
that we have is eternal. I'm going to give us a few examples
here. Some people hope in their strength, right? I'm strong.
I'm going to be strong for many years. Many years. Just ask those of us who are
older. We thought our strength would never wane, didn't we? Now when we were 30, well we
could do all kinds of things. But now that we're 50 and 60
and 70, our minds still think we can do those things. But if
we do them, we hurt for a few days later on. And then think of some people,
some people put hope in their intellect. Well, I'm a very intelligent
person. Well, you know what? I've learned
as I got older, I've forgotten more than I remember. And it's
just getting worse. Right? There's things that are very
fuzzy in my life that I used to be so clear. And especially
with what happened in my youth. a few things that stand out,
but there's a lot of things in our youth that we've forgotten
about, isn't there? So we can't hope in our strength and we can't
hope in our intellect because they're going to fade away. Some
people strive for power. Well power is very fleeting.
You can have power one day and lose it the next. Right? There's no hope in that. Some
people hope in their riches. Well, when you die, you can't
take any of it with you. Somebody else is going to get
it. Right? Well, so that's fleeting. Some people hope in each other.
Well, I'm going to die. I'm going to die. You're going
to die. We can't hope in each other because
we're both going to die. But for the believer in Christ, we
have one hope. And that hope is in one who's
eternal. Think of that. Like Brother Brian
right there, that's a work of God that He did in us, and now
we hope in the Eternal One. We hope in Christ now. We used
to hope in ourselves maybe before, or the things we could do, or
different things like that. I know for me it was all about
Wayne. Before the Lord saved me, it was all about me. Not anymore. I want to pour my
life out for Christ now. This is how it is. The things that once appealed
to us lose their appeal as we look to the eternal one. As we
look to the... I was thinking about this. I
got the opportunity to talk to my daughter like full on about
the gospel yesterday. I was so excited. It just opened
a door for me. And I said, Christo, I love the
one who loves my soul. He loves me. He loves you if
you're a believer. My. You know, I know we men,
you know, we were always raised in, well, I love you, love you,
love you too, right? That's how it was in my family.
They never said, I love you. I said, tell my kids I love them
all the time now. I love them dearly. But imagine
that love magnified to a magnification that you could never even measure. And that's how Christ loves every
one of his sheep. My! So our hope, our hope is
in the lover of our souls. Our hope is in the God-man. Our
hope is in He who is the Word of God who became flesh and dwelt
among us, the sinless, perfect, spotless Lamb of God. And then
He gave His life for us, beloved. After He lived that perfect life
as our substitute, then He died as the perfect, spotless Lamb
of God as our substitute as well, to redeem us, to purchase our
eternal souls. All we can say is hallelujah.
What a Savior. What a hope we have. We have
such a hope. The one who is the hope of our
soul is the author and the finisher of our salvation. His name is
the Lord Jesus Christ. What a hope. There's no hope
in this world outside of Christ. And we as God's people have been
given a hope, our God the Father. It's so precious. And He's the
anchor of our souls, isn't He? He's the anchor of our souls,
beloved. He's the object of our love, just as we're objects of
His love. Let that sink in. The God-men were objects of the
love of God. My! We who are His people, we
have one hope. He is eternal, the Lord Jesus
Christ, the God-man, mediator. It is He who is our hope and
our hope alone. And the thing that will make
heaven heaven is that Christ is there. And that we will see
Him face to face, the one who purchased us with His own precious
blood. We'll see the nail prints in
His hands, beloved, and His feet. And that we'll be reminders of
what He's done for us by His mercy and His grace. Hebrews says this, that by two
immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie,
that we might have a strong consolation, a strong hope, who have fled
for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us, which hope
we have as an anchor of our soul. See, the hope that we have in
Christ is an anchor for our souls amidst the hurricanes and devastation
of this world that come our way and swim us to and fro. But we're
held by the anchor, beloved. We're anchored in Christ, in Christ alone. And we have
a good hope through grace. Scripture says, which hope we
have is an anchor of us all, both sure and steadfast, in which
entereth within the veil, whether the forerunner is for us entered,
even Jesus made an high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews chapter 6 verses 18 to
20. Our trust is Christ and Him alone. Our hope is Christ and Him alone. Our rest is Christ and Him alone. Our salvation is Christ and Him
alone. And think of this, this hope,
this hope was purposed for us by the Father from eternity. God purposed that He'd send His
Son to die for us, beloved. We who are the objects of His
love, and this is eternal love. That's why I was marveling so
much by the time I reached the house that to think about His
eternal love has been set upon us. Even when I make the foolish
thing of I don't know how I did it without the Lord, I never
was without the Lord. There wasn't, you ever see that
footprints in the sand? Well, there's two footprints.
No, there's only ever one. All our life, he's carrying us.
You know, because we were prepared ground to receive that word.
The Holy Spirit had tilled our hearts to receive that word when
it was preached. And the Holy Spirit, oh, He regenerated
us, beloved, and gave us faith to believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ. And now we have a hope. And what
a hope we have. An eternal hope. Oh, what matchless
grace this is. Our great God became a man. What matchless grace this is.
The Word of God became a man. and then died on Calvary's cross
for us. And then the third day, he rose
again for our justification. And right now, he's seated at
the right hand of the Father, interceding for us, for those
whom he loved, for those whom he loved so much that he gave
his life for them. Oh, my. And right now, he's in
heaven to appear in the presence of God for us. Christ is our forerunner, beloved.
He's our mediator. And he's the only mediator between
God and man. There's no other one. There's
only one name under heaven whereby we must be saved, and that's
the Lord Jesus Christ. There's no other hope in any
other name. No other religion. All them other religions, just
false religions. Yeah, but millions of people, billions of people
follow some of those religions. They're just false religions.
That's all they are. Oh my. We pray the Lord will
pluck some of his sheep, pluck his sheep out of them. That's
what he did for us. He plucked me out of the darkness
of Catholicism. Plucked me right out of it. Save
my soul, praise his mighty name. No, and Christ is a great high
priest. He intercedes for us, beloved. He's the charity of
all His chosen people, too. He purchased our eternal souls.
He did it. He sealed our pardon with His
blood, paid in full, stamped in the precious blood of Christ.
My, that's wonderful. Wonderful. Listen to this. Hebrews
1, 3, who be in the brightness of his glory, and express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had been by himself. He did it all by himself, beloved.
What did he do? Purged our sins. What did he
do then? He sat down at the right hand
of the Father. It's done. The work is finished. There's
nothing to be added to it, nothing to be taken away. Nothing for
any of us to do, but just to Christ. And we do that by God-given
faith. As a matter of fact, this is
the work of God that you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. My. What mercy, beloved. He sealed
the everlasting covenant, which the Father, Son, and the Holy
Spirit made in eternity. He sealed it. Christ sealed it
with his blood. ratified it with his precious,
precious blood. And remember, his blood was not
just an ordinary blood. It was the blood of the God-man.
It was the blood of the sinless Lamb of God. And that's our hope, is Christ.
Our hope and assurance is that we who believe are redeemed and
purchased by Christ's precious blood. And then one day, we're
going to see him face to face because of what he's done. all
because of what he's done. Well, therefore, then, nothing
can separate us from the love of God in Christ. Can persecution,
can famine, can anything in this world separate God's people from
the love of Christ? Not even death can do that. Death
is but a doorway for us to enter into the presence of the Lord. Isn't that amazing? Once you're
His, and we've been His from eternity, you're ever in His
grip. Ever in His grip. My, nothing
can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.
He has the power to save us, and He has the power to keep
us. See, we don't even have the power to save ourselves, and
we don't even have the power to keep ourselves. but we rest
and trust in the one who has all power and upholds all things
by the word of his power. That's the Lord Jesus Christ.
He's the eternal hope. Scripture says, blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy, if you're saved, it's according to God's abundant
mercy. Now this is God's mercy, not
man's mercy. This is God's mercy. And think
of what His abundant mercy has done. He blotted out all my sins
which were against Him. They were all against God. All
my sins were against God's law and justice. They were all spit in His face. and according to His abundant
mercy." Yours too. And according to His abundant
mercy, we who are the people of God, they're all blotted out. What love, beloved. What love. And it says, abundant mercy hath
begotten us again into a lively hope. Now we're born again. Now
we have a hope that we never had before. by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead. Because he rose, we're going
to rise too. Because he's seated at the right
hand of the Father, remember he's the head, where's the body
going to be? It's going to be right with him,
isn't it? Oh my, it's wonderful. It's absolutely wonderful. Oh,
what abundant mercy God shows us. He chose us in Christ before
the foundation of the world, all according to his will and
pleasure. He forgives us all our trespasses and sins. He brought
it out, the handwriting of ordinances that was against us by the precious
blood of Christ. He rises us from spiritual deadness
to spiritual life by his regenerating power. He removes our filthy
rags of self-righteousness enclose us in the perfect, spotless righteousness
of Christ. Then He takes us home to glory,
to spend eternity in His presence. It doesn't get any better than
that, beloved. And all because of His abundant mercy and grace,
we will spend eternity with the Eternal One, who saved us from
our sins, the Lord Jesus Christ. My, so we can conclude, can't
we, as God's people, that this mercy is abundant mercy. So our
hope of eternal life is in Christ, who's in heaven, and we will
one day see Him face to face. It'll become a reality for us,
beloved. The minute we breathe our last
breath here, we'll be in the presence of the Lord. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. To what? To an inheritance incorruptible.
That's waiting for us. It's incorruptible. And undefiled
and fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. We can't defile
it by our own sinfulness. It's already
reserved for us in heaven, in Christ. It's incorruptible because
Christ is the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. and they will never
fade away, beloved, because he's the eternal one. See the things
people hope for in this world are temporal, like I said earlier.
They fade away. The older we get, the weaker
we get. The more frail we become. My, but this inheritance will
never ever fade away, will never. And then it says that we who
are the people of God, that this inheritance is reserved in heaven
for you. You ever call a restaurant and reserve
a table? And you get there and there's
a little sign that says reserved? It's just for you, right? Our
inheritance is reserved for us in heaven. My. And then it says, who are
kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to
be revealed in the last time. Now think of that. We're kept by the power of God
even before we're saved, and we're kept by the power of God
even after we're saved. That's just wonderful. It's just
wonderful. That's 1 Peter 1, verses 4 and
5. We can't mess this inheritance
up, beloved. Religion, they say, you can You lose your salvation,
get your salvation. Lose your salvation, get your
salvation. Lose your salvation, get your salvation. You know
why? Because it's not God's salvation. God's salvation, you can't mess
it up. You can't lose it. Because when
God saves a sinner, I mean truly saves a sinner, they are saved
and they are justified forever. God's saving power is keeping
power. The scripture declares this,
for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power
of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth. to the Jew first
and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness
that God revealed from faith to faith. As it is written, a
just shall live by faith. And that's what we live by now.
We live by faith in Christ. We don't go out and do the things
we, even our flesh wants us to do. Now we fight our flesh, don't
we? Now we have a struggle that we never had before. My. You ever, when I was in religion,
I always felt like No, you never measure up. And then when the
Lord taught me His grace, I realized we never would measure up. We never would. That's why my
hope, and yours as a believer, is in Christ alone. Because He
did everything God demanded for us. Perfectly. In our place. Look at Colossians 1.5 again.
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, where have
you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel? Now
in the second part of this verse we see the importance of the
gospel being preached. Where have you heard before in
the word of the truth of the gospel? And we know that Epaphras,
who was a faithful preacher of God's free grace in Christ, had
ministered to the saints at Colossus. And you see that in verse 7.
It says, as you also learned of Epaphras, our dear fellow
servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ. So he was
a preacher there in Colossus. And he gave a good report, as
I mentioned earlier. He gave a good report. Now these
saints had heard the word of truth. So this is the importance
of preaching the gospel. The gospel must be preached.
And I'll tell you what, the gospel of salvation in Christ alone
plus nothing, that's the only true gospel. That's the only
true gospel. There's no good news if any of
man's works is involved. It's just not good news. Because
there's no salvation. And again, in what Brother Brian
read about how God is the one who's given us this faith. God
is the one who's caused us to believe. It's the work of God. God gives
us hearing ears, beloved. Think of this now. Look at yourself
before the Lord saved you. Did you have ears for the gospel?
Man, my ears were so shut against the gospel, it was like somebody
put plugs in my ears. I did not want to hear anything
from Christians, let alone the scriptures. But God uses the preaching of
the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to save sinners.
And again, the gospel is good news for sinners. Good news of
how Christ, with his own precious blood, redeemed sinners. And how that he died and was
raised again for our justification. And this is the only way for
a sinner like you and me to be saved. There's no other way. except by Christ and Him alone,
saving us. There's no other hope. And look
what it says, where have you heard before in the word of the
truth of the gospel? Notice you heard, and you heard,
what did they hear? The word of truth of the gospel. God's sheep are given ears. If
you're one of the Lord's sheep, you've been given ears to hear
the gospel. You've been given ears to hear
the preacher, not the preacher. If my words are the only words
you hear, you're not going to hear nothing. But you've been given
ears to hear the shepherd's voice. The great shepherd. Turn if you
will to Romans chapter 10. Romans chapter 10. And think
about this with the preaching of the gospel. We're delivered
from the power of darkness through the preaching of the word. If
the word wasn't preached, we wouldn't be delivered. Scripture
says in Colossians 1.13.14, who hath delivered us from the power
of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear
Son, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness
of sins. We hear that through the gospel, through the preaching
of the gospel, salvation in Christ alone. And sinners are saved
by the preaching of the gospel. And he's building his church
by the preaching of the gospel. He draws sinners to himself by
the preaching of the gospel. Look at this Romans chapter 10
verses 13 to 17. For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved. I love that. Look at that certainty there.
Hallelujah. How then shall they call on him
in whom they have not believed? Well you can't call on someone
who you don't believe. And how shall they believe in
Him of whom they have not heard? You can't believe in someone
if you don't hear about them. And how shall they hear without
a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? Gospel
preachers have to be sent by God. As it is written, how beautiful
are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring
glad tidings of good things. But they have not all obeyed
the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath
believed thy report? So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God. This is why it's so important
that the gospel is preached. It's paramount here that we preach
Christ and Him crucified from this pulpit. That salvation is
in and through Christ and Him alone. My, God uses the preaching of
the gospel to save sinners. And that's why Paul said, I'm
not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. It's the power of God
unto salvation to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For therein
is the righteousness of God revealed. From faith to faith, for as it
is written, the just shall live by faith. What's revealed? in the preaching
of the gospel, the righteousness of Christ, the righteousness
of God. How can a man be just before
God? Only in Christ. Only in Christ. Only by being
clothed in his perfect righteousness. And we see here the saints had
heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel. This gospel
which comes from God is good news. Good news for soul-sick
sinners like me. Listen to this in Ephesians chapter
one, it says, in whom ye also trusted, that being Christ, after
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.
Your salvation. Each individual believer, it's
the gospel of my salvation, it saved my soul. Christ saved my
soul. Paul personalized it, didn't
he? And whom also you have, after that you believe, you are sealed
with the Holy Spirit of promise. That means you're marked. Don't
worry about people saying marks and all this. You're already
marked. That seal in the Greek is marked. I'm marked by God. My, that's
amazing. And that mark shows ownership.
He owns me. He purchased me with his precious,
precious blood. Oh, my. That's wonderful. Someone says, what do you mean
you're owned? Praise God, I'm owned by God. Oh my, it's wonderful. Which
is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased
possession, until the praise of His glory. And again, we saw
there that they heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation, the same thing. And in Greek, do you know what
it means when it says heard? It means to be endowed with the
faculty of hearing, not deaf. God gave you ears to hear. That's
what it means. My. Oh my, it just gets better
and better. Think of this, too. The gospel
contains nothing but truth. Nothing but truth. And these beloved believers at
Kloss were being bombarded by philosophers and angel worship
and Judaizers and Gnostics, and they were all lies. But the gospel
was being proclaimed. Paphroditus was a faithful servant. He preached Christ. and they
heard that, and they were endowed with ears to hear by a work of
God, and they rejoiced, beloved. They rejoiced. Oh, and the gospel,
when it's proclaimed, proclaims about the very one who can make
sinners just before God. And I'm living proof, and every
one of you who are saved are living proof, too. And it proclaims
Christ Jesus our Lord is a great sinner substitute. It proclaims
God's law and justice has been satisfied by the sacrifice of
Christ on Calvary's cross. It proclaims that God is satisfied
with the sacrifice of Christ because He raised Him from the
dead for our justification. And oh, sinner friend, if you
do not know Christ, flee to Christ. Flee to Him. He is the only hope
for sinners, and this old sinner can tell you that's the truth.
He is the only hope for sinners. May God make you willing and
grant you faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you're
not saved, and may He grant you faith, may He work a work in
you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Oh, my. And may we saints, God,
leave this place today rejoicing that God has given us ears. He's
endowed us with ears to hear the gospel and to love the gospel,
and to put our faith and our hope and our trust in the Lord
Jesus Christ, the Eternal One. Hallelujah.
