Numbers chapter 6. The name of the message is, The
Lord's Blessing. The Lord's Blessing. Numbers
chapter 6. And we'll read this blessing
that Aaron pronounces upon the children of Israel. all by the
commandment of God. It's found in Numbers chapter
6. Our text will be verses 22 to
27. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto Aaron and unto his son, saying, On this wise shall
ye bless the children of Israel. Saying unto them, The Lord bless
thee and keep thee. The Lord make his face to shine
upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance
upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon
the children of Israel, and I will bless them. Now this blessing
from God through Aaron to the people of Israel was commanded
after the giving of the law of the Nazarite. And once the Nazarite
had accomplished his vow of separation, He was to bring a sin offering
and burnt offerings to the Lord. And let's read of that being
done in verses 13 to 21 of the same chapter. This is the law
of the Nazarite. When the days of his separation
are fulfilled, he shall be brought into the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation and he shall offer Offer his offering unto
the Lord, one he lamb of the first year without blemish for
a burnt offering, and one you lamb of the first year without
blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace
offerings. In a basket of unleavened bread,
cakes of fine flour mingled with oil and wafers of unleavened
bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering and their
drink offering. And the priest shall bring them before the Lord
and shall offer his sin offering and his burnt offering. and he
shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord
with the basket of unleavened bread, and the priest shall offer
also his meat offering and his drink offering. And the Nazarite
shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of
the separation and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice
of the peace offering. And the priest shall take the
sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the
basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands
of the Nazarite, after the hair of separation is shaven. And
the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord.
This is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave
shoulder, And after that, the Nazarite may drink wine. This
is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed and of his offering
unto the Lord for his separation. Beside that, his hand should
get according to the vow which he vowed. So he must do after
the law of his separation. So Aaron, after he had received
the sacrifices and with the sacrifices in his hand, would wave it before
the Lord. And when the sacrifice was accepted,
Aaron was to pronounce a blessing upon the children of Israel.
And let us never forget that all this process of the sin offering
and the meat offering and the drink offering and peace offering
has one grand picture. the all-sufficient sacrifice
of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's all in type and shadow right
here before us. And the waving before the Lord
evidently manifests and proclaims that pardon and peace could only
be obtained by the Savior, as the Nazarite is a picture of
Christ. The priest is a picture of Christ. The offering is a picture of
Christ. And Christ, though, is the perfect
fulfillment of the Nazarite picture, because he is the only one who
is holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners. And
when the sacrifice was accepted, Aaron was to pronounce this blessing
that the Lord commanded upon God's chosen people. Let's read
the blessing in our text again, and also though, turn to 2 Corinthians
chapter 13, verse 14, but first let's read number 624, and then
put your finger in 2 Corinthians 13, 14. So the blessing again
is found in verse 24 and it goes to 27. The Lord bless thee and
keep thee. The Lord make his face shine
upon thee and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance
upon thee and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon
the children of Israel and I will bless them. Now look at 2nd Corinthians
chapter 13 verse 14, and Paul pens this. Very similar, very
similar. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you
all. Amen. Now we will see why that's similar
as we go through this text. We will see the whole Trinity
is mentioned there in 2nd Corinthians 13, 14. Now as I said earlier,
the Nazarite is a picture of Christ. But take note that this
blessing comes from God to the people through the priest. The
priest is commanded by God to proclaim this blessing. And over
in the book of Hebrews, in chapter 7, verses 25 to 27, the scripture
proclaims this. Wherefore he is able also to
save them to the uttermost, being Christ, that come unto God by
him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For
such an high priest became us. So the priest here, right in
number six, pictures the Lord Jesus Christ. Because Hebrews
says, for such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless,
undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens.
Who needeth not daily as those high priests to offer up sacrifice,
first for his own sins, and then for the people's. For this he
did once when he offered up himself. He had no sin. So he offered
up himself as a sacrifice for our sins. for the sins of his
people. And he's the high priest. And
he's the one pronouncing the blessing, too. And we see this
blessing, though, this blessing is very unique. And Christ is
our great high priest, offered himself up to God, without spot,
unto God, for us. And Christ alone is the channel
of divine blessings. He's the channel of divine blessings.
No blessings come to we who are his people except through Christ.
We know that. We know that from studying the
book of Ephesians. There's no other blessings except through
him. All spiritual blessings come through him. And we who
are the redeemed receive all these blessings in and through
the Lord Jesus Christ. Now the blessing pronounced was
note in this text only for God's people. It wasn't for the Egyptians. It wasn't for the Hittites. It
wasn't for the Syrians. It was only for God's people,
only for them. And we know that Israel pictures
the church. We know that from our studies
too, that Israel pictures the church. So this blessing pronounced
was only for God's people. Again, what a picture we have
of whom Christ died for. He died for all that the father
gave him. All that the Father gave him. Turn, if you would,
to John 17, the high priestly prayer of our great God and King. Christ died for the redeemed,
or died for the elect, and he redeemed every one of the elect.
He redeemed every one of them. And those he redeemed were those
who were given to him by the Father in eternity. Look at John
17 verses 6 to 10. I have manifested thy name unto
the man which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they
were, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given
me are of thee. For I have given unto them the
words which thou gavest me, and they have received them, and
have known surely that I come out from thee. they have believed
that Thou didst send me. I pray for them, I pray not for
the world, but for them which Thou hast given me, for they
are Thine. And all mine are Thine, and Thine
are mine, and I am glorified in them." Christ died only for
those whom the Father had given Him. This blessing is only for
the nation of Israel. Again, it's a clear picture of
the church, the blood-bought, over again, church of God. Let's go back to our text again.
The priest speaks the blessing that the Father has spoken. He
speaks this blessing to God's people, God's chosen people. And this blessing is sure, beloved,
Sure, and it's continuous because it comes from our triune God
through the mediator to God's chosen people. And it's applied
by the Holy Spirit of God to God's chosen people. Let's look
at verses 24 to 27 again. The Lord bless thee and keep
thee. The Lord make his face shine
upon thee and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance
upon thee and give thee peace. They shall put my name upon the
children of Israel, and I will bless them. And as we look at
this, let us remember that God manifests himself to his people
only in and through Christ. And what a picture we have here,
beloved. This points us right to Christ. The high priest pronounces this
blessing upon the people of God's own choosing, of God's own choosing. And take note, that the name
of the Lord or Jehovah is mentioned three times here in our text.
Three times it's mentioned in our text. The Lord bless thee
and keep thee in verse 24. The Lord make his face to shine
upon thee. In verse 25, the Lord lift up
his countenance upon thee and give thee peace. It's mentioned
three times. And here in our text, we hear
the voice of one. Yet three, and we'll see that
as we study this tonight. And how blessed the child of
God is to look at these verses and know that we are blessed
by our great God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit. And we only know these things
by revelation, only because He's revealed Himself to us do we
know even about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. when
so many others are left not knowing anything about our great God.
So let's look at each verse here and take note how the glorious
name of Jehovah, our Lord, is repeated three times, three times
here before us. And let us take note of how each
time, as Hawker brings out, the form is altered, bringing forth
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, right here in our
text. And this is a wonderful blessing
for God's people. The blessing pronounced here
is the blessing of God, the blessing of Jehovah, Jehovah, upon His
chosen people. In Deuteronomy 6.4, we read,
Here, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord. One Lord. Yet, He who is our God, the Great
Jehovah, is three persons. The three in one. The Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In 1 John 5-7, the Scriptures
declare, For there are three that bear record in heaven. The
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one. Three in one. The Great Jehovah
is three persons. The three in one God. the Father,
Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three persons, yet one God. One
God. So let us keep this in mind when
we see the word Lord here, which Jehovah here is used three times. Lord there means Jehovah in the
Hebrew. And we will note, as John Gill
brings forth, that the The word Lord being three times used in
a different accent put to each word denoting three distinct
persons, yet one Jehovah, yet one Jehovah. Turn, if you would,
to Exodus chapter six. The word Lord refers to the proper
name of the God of Israel, particularly the name by which he revealed
himself to Moses. Look at Exodus chapter six. And
then we'll go back to numbers. chapter six, Exodus chapter six,
verses two and three. The word Lord refers to the proper
name of the God of Israel, particularly the name by which he revealed
himself to Moses. Look at verse two, and God spake
unto Moses and said unto him, I am the Lord. I am the Lord. And I appeared unto Abraham,
unto Isaac, and unto Jacob by the name of God Almighty. But
by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. But by my name
Jehovah was I not known to them. In the Hebrew, let's go back
to our text in Numbers chapter 6, in the Hebrew the word Lord
is translated self-existent or eternal Jehovah. And it's the
Jewish national name of God, Jehovah the Lord, the self-existent
one or eternal Jehovah. So with that in mind, let's look
at verse 24. The Lord bless thee and keep
thee. The Lord bless thee and keep
thee is here pronounced before us. It is the blessing and keeping
of God's heritage, and we know that this is ascribed to God
the Father in a very expressive way in other scriptures. Jehovah
the Father blesses his children with all spiritual blessings
in Christ. Let's turn to Ephesians chapter
1, 1 Peter chapter 1. Ephesians chapter 1 and 1 Peter
chapter 1. All spiritual blessings come
through the Father. It's also He who chooses us in
Christ. He chooses His elect in Christ. He accepts them in Christ. He
justifies them in Christ. And pardons them by the blood
of Christ. And they are regenerated and
called all by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. And He preserves
His people. given to us eternal life in and
through Christ Jesus our Lord. And truly we who are the people
of God are blessed by our great Jehovah Father and Jehovah the
Son and Jehovah the Spirit. We are blessed people. The great
three-in-one. We are blessed in and through
the Lord Jesus Christ and by them. Look at Ephesians chapter
1, verses 3 to 6, and this is in light of what we're reading.
I know we've read this many times, but always to read other scriptures
in light of what we're studying. I'll read our text again. The
Lord bless thee and keep thee. Look at this in Ephesians 1,
3 to 6. Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us, meaning God's
people. with all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places, where? In Christ. According as He has
chosen us in Him, before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having
predestinated us into the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. If you're saved, it's because
God willed it. God willed it. To the praise
of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the
beloved. So in that verse, those verses
there, we see that we are blessed. And we are blessed by God the
Father, in and through Christ, which ties right in with our
verse, which says the Lord bless thee and keep thee. Now let's
go to 1 Peter chapter 3. We've been studying this book
in Sunday school, and look at what 1 Peter 1, verses 3 to 5
says. Again, our text said, the Lord
bless thee. We saw that we have all spiritual blessings in Christ.
And then the text goes, the Lord bless thee and keep thee. Look
what it says in 1 Peter 1. verses 3 to 5. Blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His
abundant mercy hath begotten us again into a lively hope by
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance
incorruptible and undefiled, in that faith it not away, reserved
in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. Our Lord, in
his great high priestly prayer, proclaimed this, and now I am
no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come
to thee, Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou
hast given me, that they may be one as we are one. We are
blessed, beloved, we who are the redeemed of the Lord, we
who are his blood-bought people, are blessed by the Father, And
we have all spiritual blessings in and through Christ alone,
all according to God's providential hand, and all according to His
mighty working, because it pleased Him to do so, and we are kept.
So the text that we're looking at, we are truly, we are blessed
by the Father, and we are kept by the Father. What a great God
we have. Now let's go back to Numbers
chapter 6, and we'll look at verse 25. Lord, make His face
shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. Note, we have brought forth here
the blessing which speaks of God the Son, because we have
been reconciled to God the Father through the Son. Through the
Son. Oh, how God has been gracious
to us, to we who are His people. Oh, how God has been gracious
to us through Christ and through Christ alone. When it said here,
the Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto
thee. This is the blessing of God our
Savior because it's in him. that we have the light of the
knowledge of the glory of God. It's given to us in the face
of Christ. Second Corinthians chapter 4
says this, for God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
and oh what darkness we were in. We didn't even know we were For God, who commanded the light
to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give
the light, the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ. Oh, God has been gracious to
us in and through Christ, in and through Christ. But we, all with an open face
beholding As in the glass, the glory of the Lord are changed
in the same image from glory to glory, even by the Spirit
of the Lord. And then John 1.14 says this,
And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
His glory. The glory is the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth. No man has seen God at any time.
The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father,
He hath declared Him. Truly the Lord has made His face
shine upon us, beloved. We who are His people. All through
the Lord Jesus Christ, we've been blessed by God. If you're
here and you're redeemed, you've been blessed by God. He's been
so gracious to you when He's passed by so many other people.
Oh my. What a blessing it is to have
all our sin pardoned. All of it. All of it. And how is our sin pardoned?
Only through Christ. Only through what He's done.
What a blessing it is to be made the righteousness of God in Christ.
And how did that happen? Our sin was imputed to our mighty
Savior. And He paid for it all. And His
righteousness is given to us. What a blessing it is to be sanctified
by God the Father. And how are we sanctified? How
are we made holy? Only in Christ. Only in Christ. No other way. No other way. And what a blessing it is to
enjoy all the privileges in blessing of the new covenant. And how
do we enjoy all those blessings and all those privileges? Only
in Christ. Has God not been gracious to
us, beloved? Oh, he's been gracious, hasn't he? Very, very gracious. And how richly have we who are
the redeemed of the Lord been blessed by our great God and
King, all in and through Christ Jesus. And it says here, the
Lord make his face shine upon thee. Cause Jehovah the Son Himself,
the Son of Righteousness, to arise and shine upon them and
give them spiritual light in His gracious presence and the
manifestation of Himself through His Word. All which He does for
His people through the preaching of the Gospel. And how has the
Lord made His face to shine upon us? We have communion with God.
We have communion with God. We have clear discoveries of
His love through the preaching of the Gospel. And we have an
increase of spiritual light and knowledge of His Gospel and the
truths of it as He reveals to us more and more about Himself. God's been gracious to you and
I, we who are the redeemed. He's been so gracious to us.
He's made His light shine upon thee. It says here, and be gracious
unto the Gilbrings forth, by granting larger measures of his
grace out of his fullness, by leading more abundantly into
it, and making fresh and frequent applications of it. Grace is
often desired from Christ as well as from the Father. Oh,
God's been so gracious unto us. And then think upon this, beloved
of God, Is it not through the grace that
is in Christ Jesus that we find mercy from God the Father? It's only through him. It's only
through him. What a blessing we have here.
A double blessing. Because if the Lord make his
face to shine upon us, we're blessed. We're blessed. And then we're assured that he
will be gracious to us. Has He been gracious to you? We often mumble and complain,
because we're humans. We do. We all complain about
things. This verse should silence our
lips. God is favorable toward us in
Christ and through Christ, Jesus our Lord. And think of this,
grace comes to us freely. Freely. And boundlessly. In and through He who is our
Redeemer and our Savior. And the believer in Christ is
washed in the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. redeemed,
purchased, justified, made righteous by Christ, and accepted by God
in Christ. Sinners accepted by God in Christ. And you know the Lord looks upon
us with pleasure. With pleasure. God's face shines upon us in
Christ. All we see is our own sin, don't
we? All we see is our struggles constantly. Oh, for us to remember during
those times when we... And we repent of our sin, don't
we? We do. We repent. We're still repenting. Even after
we're saved, we're still repenting. Let this verse be honey to your
soul. Let this verse just be honey
to your soul, beloved. The Lord make his face shine
upon thee. Oh, he has in Christ and be gracious
unto thee. He has in Christ to me. Is it so with you? God's grace to us is free and
undeserved. Do you deserve grace? Every believer I know says, no,
I don't deserve it. If I got what I deserve, I'd
be in hell. This grace is free. And this
grace is undeserved. And we who are redeemed of the
Lord have received undeserved favor in and through Christ Jesus
our Lord from our great God, from the great God, Jehovah,
the one true God. You who are the redeemed of the
Lord are accepted in the beloved. God sees no sin in Jacob neither
does he behold iniquity in Israel as he looks upon us in Christ
He sees us without spot or wrinkle It's hard for us to fathom But
it's true He doesn't behold iniquity in
Israel As he sees us in Christ And truly we can say, knowing
that, that the Lord has made His face to shine upon me. And truly the Lord has been gracious
to me. If you're one of His people,
we can say that. Because salvation from beginning
to end is all of grace, and that grace is undeserved, freely given. Oh, the Lord's been gracious
to us. Now let's consider verse 26.
It says, the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give
thee peace. Here we have before us the office
of God the Holy Spirit. which is brought out with a very
striking expression the Lord lift up his countenance upon
thee and give thee peace think of this beloved how our great
God is the God of all comfort he is the God of all comfort
the father the son and the spirit they all comfort God's people
The Father comforts us with His grace's presence and revealing
to His people His eternal covenant of grace and showing us the firmness
and the stability of that covenant. And He comforts us with the precious
promises of His Word, which are all fulfilled in Christ. And He comforts us with His everlasting,
unchangeable love that He has for His people. and with discoveries,
new discoveries of His pardoning grace as the Holy Spirit reveals
to us scriptures that we have not seen before that point us
right to Christ and the wonderful Savior that we have, the wonderful
Redeemer that we have. And all this pardoning grace
and mercy is only found in Christ and Christ alone. And the Son is a comforter to
God's elect because He is the consolation of Israel. And it is He who comforts us
by clothing us in His perfect righteousness and revealing the
salvation that we have in Him and we are comforted in Christ
by His precious blood which was shed on Calvary's cross, the
believer says, for my sins. For my sins. For the salvation
of our souls, beloved, all of God's elect. And we are comforted
with the fact that our salvation in Christ is complete. It's complete. And it's accomplished. And it's
accepted by God. What a salvation we have in Christ. And the Holy Spirit is called
a comforter. Turn, if you would, to John 14,
verses 26 to 27. He's called the comforter. The
comforter. In Scripture, John 14, 26 and
27, and keep in light what number 626 says, the Lord lift up his
countenance upon thee and give thee peace. Look at John 14,
verses 26 to 27. But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach
you all things. bring all things to your remembrance.
Whatsoever I have said unto you, peace I leave with you, and peace
I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you, that
not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Oh, the Holy
Spirit comforts God's people. We are regenerated by His almighty
power. And He shows the saints of God
Christ. He points us to Christ. And the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. And He reveals Christ to us.
And He reveals to us. First we are shown our desperate
need for Christ, aren't we? We're bought low. We're bought
low, beloved. And then we're shown our desperate
need for Christ. And we flee to Him, being made
willing in the day of His power. And we are showing that Christ
died in our place and the Holy Spirit of God applies the promises
of God to his blood-bought born-again people. And he comforts us with
the truth of adoption. Adoption by God in Christ. He comforts us with the fact
that we are sealed by the Spirit and given in earnest in a pledge
of eternal glory in Christ. And it is He who comforts us
when we're under the weight of sin and the temptations of Satan
and the various afflictions of life. And it is He who prevents
us from falling. God the Holy Spirit comforts
the people of God in the light of his countenance, and it is
he who has brought peace to the soul of every believer. Is that
not true? Does he not teach us and give
us the peace that passes all understanding? Oh my, my, what
a great God we have. He brings peace to the soul.
The Holy Spirit of God brings peace to the soul of every believer
in Christ by the application of the sweet graces and blessings
which the redeemed of the Lord have in and through the Lord
Jesus Christ. Turn to Romans chapter 15. And
then we'll go right back to Numbers chapter 6. Romans chapter 15. Verse 13, Romans 15, 13. Oh, how the Holy Spirit brings
comfort to the believer in Christ, pointing us to Christ. Hear not
speak of himself, he points us to Christ, beloved. Romans 15,
13, now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing that you may abound in hope through the power of
the Holy Ghost. What a hope God's people have. What a hope the blood-bought,
born-again people of God have in and through the Lord Jesus
Christ. What peace we have in Christ. There's no peace like
the peace which we have with God, which comes from God. In Christ Jesus our Lord is our
peace, beloved. He's our peace. And this peace
comes to God's people by the Holy Spirit of God through Christ. And it must be revealed to us.
It must be revealed to us. And when it is, what do we do?
We glorify God. We glorify God for who He is. We glorify Christ for who He
is. He's the silencer and the satisfaction
of the law for us. He's the silencer and the satisfaction
of the law for us. Christ is the sweet-smelling
sacrifice that God has accepted. And it is in Christ alone that
the Father is well pleased. And we who are in Him have no
condemnation, none. We're safe in the Beloved. And
truly, truly He is our peace forever, forever. Something I'd
like to point out before we look at the last verse is notice how
the blessing is singular. Take note of that. It's singular
with these three verses. The Lord bless thee and keep
thee. The Lord make His face shine
upon thee and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up his countenance
upon thee and give thee peace. One might ask, why is it like
that? Because the people of God are
one. And God views his people as one. As one. Christ is the head or
the body. And that body is comprised of
every single one of God's blood-bought people. One body. God views His elect
as one in Christ. One in Christ. And so this blessing
comes upon the entire church as a whole. But every individual
believer can look at this and say this blessing is mine in
Christ. Isn't that wonderful? It's absolutely
wonderful. And truly our great God is gracious
and merciful to we who are his people. Truly he is. Now let
us consider the divine Amen as Spurgeon brings forth which is
found in the last verse of our text. And they shall put my name
upon the children of Israel and I will bless them. the divine
amen. We are the Lord's people by creation
and by payment. He made us and then he brought
us and we are continuously under his providential care. There's
never a time when his eye is not upon us. Never. Never. look at verse 27 declares and
they shall put my name upon the children of Israel in revelation
217 the scriptures declare this he that hath an ear let him hear
what the Spirit sayeth unto the churches to him that overcometh
will I give to eat of the hidden manna and give him a white stone
remember we looked at that and in the stone a new name written
in which no man knoweth saying saying he that receiveth it's
the Lord our righteousness It's the Lord our righteousness, beloved.
The new name is the Lord our righteousness. And we are truly
blessed by God in and through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is
our righteousness. And then it says, and I will
bless them. And I will bless them. God says
to his people, amidst our troubles and trials of this life, in sickness
and in health, in all stages of life, I will bless them. And God blesses us by revealing Christ to us, regenerating
us by His power, and being gracious to us. So
that every one of God's blood-bought saints can say, I've been blessed
with the Lord. He truly has blessed me. I may
not be the richest man in the world, that don't matter. The things that I once wanted
to attain, I don't want them anymore. Tell me about Christ. Tell me about my Savior. Tell
me about He who is the lover of my soul, the Lord Jesus Christ. Because truly God has blessed
me in and through Him. And then He takes us to be in
His presence forever. So He takes care of us all through
this life. And then He takes us at our death
to be in His presence forever. We are a blessed people, beyond
measure. I was listening to Brother Joe
this week, and he brought out the fact, he said, I could inherit
all of Bill Gates' inheritance, and I could squander that. But
this inheritance, I can never squander. Because it's in Christ. We're blessed, beloved. We are
blessed people. These words ring true for God's
born-again, blood-bought people. I will bless them. Bless His
holy name. Truly it is in Christ, in Christ
alone, who receives all the preeminence that we have been blessed by
God. Gracious Heavenly Father, we
thank Thee for this time that we could have. in studying Thy
Word. O Lord, let we who are Your redeemed
people leave here rejoicing in these wondrous truths that we've
looked at tonight and see, O Lord, we see the whole Trinity in action. We know that in our salvation,
but we see also in our care and watching over us. O Lord, truly
we've been blessed by Thee, blessed by Thee God, who is our Father,
blessed by Thee, God, who is the Son, and blessed by Thee,
God, the Holy Spirit. O Lord, You have had mercy upon
we who are Your people, and we will be forever grateful, singing
Thy praises, singing Thy praises for eternity.
We love You because You first loved us. In Jesus' name, amen.
