It's good to be home again. I
want to thank the men, Brother Tim and Brother John and Brother
Matt for filling in last week for me. It's a great blessing
as a preacher to be able to go and preach in other places and
know that we have faithful men who will proclaim the Gospel
for us. So it's a great blessing. Turn, if you would, to Psalm
48. Psalm 48. The name of the message is, the
hand of the Lord is full. The hand of the Lord is full.
We'll read the whole psalm here. Psalm 48. Great is the Lord and greatly
to be praised in the city of our God and the mountain of His
holiness. Beautiful for situation, the
joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,
the city of the great king. God is known in her palaces for
refuge. For lo, the kings were assembled.
They passed by together. They saw it and so they marveled. They were troubled and hasted
away. Fear took a hold upon them. Fear
took hold upon them there, and pain is of a woman in travail.
Thou breakest the ships of Tardish with an east wind. As we have
heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in
the city of our God. And note this here, God will
establish it forever. Selah. We have thought of Thy
lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple. According
to Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth.
Thy right hand is full of righteousness." Here's our text. Thy right hand
is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice. Let the
daughters of Judah be glad because of Thy judgments. Walk about
Zion. and go round about her, tell
the towers thereof. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider
her palaces, that ye may tell it to the generation following.
For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide
even unto death." Even unto death. So our text today is found in
verse 10, but let's do a little overview of this psalm. This
psalm is a wonderful psalm about God working in the church. And
Zion is another name for the church. We know that from studying
scripture in the Old Testament, that Zion refers to the church. And note in verse 1 that God
is praised in Zion, which is a picture of how God is praised
within the church, within the midst of His people. And it's
called the City of the Great King. And our God, as we looked
at in Sunday School, is a great God. He's a great King. He is the King of Kings, and
He is the Lord of Lords. He is supreme over all. And all
the governments, and all the kings, and all the presidents,
and all the prime ministers are but water in His hands to do
His will. And this brings us great comfort
as we see world events going on. I mentioned that in Sunday
school, that we can rest assured that our God is sovereign. He's
a sovereign over sovereigns. He's the sovereign over sovereigns. The sovereign. And God is known. Known in this city. Verse 2,
she's the city of the great king. And verse 3, God is known in this city There's
a refuge. I ask you, beloved, you who are
redeemed, you who are blood-bought saints, is God not your refuge? Is he not your strength? Verse four shows us, verse four
to seven shows us that she's a protected city. She is a protected
city, beloved. She's protected by God and her
enemies tremble Her enemies tremble. She's protected by God. In verse
8, we see, all verse 8, we see that Zion is a city established
by God. When was, when were the elect
established by God? Before the foundation of the
world. In Christ Jesus our Savior. She's an established city. She's
an established city by God. My, what a great king we have.
and she's seeing God's mighty work done in her. I ask you,
beloved, you who believe, you who are blood-bought saints,
have you not seen God's work in your life? It's incredible. As I say, when we look back and
we see even before we were saved how God guided us and directed
us, how He preserved us sometimes from a certain death, what we
thought, and He preserved us. While others, friends, passed
away and died and stepped into eternity, And yet he preserves
his sheep and keeps us. My, what a God we have, beloved,
what a Savior we have. And we see in verse nine that
Zion considers God's loving kindness towards her. And we also see
that God is in her midst. Ponder the mercy of God in Christ
to you, beloved. Ponder. When I get down or when
I get upset, I go write in the Scriptures, beloved. And I ponder
the great things that God has done for me. The great things
He's done for me. Now if I dwell on whatever's
upsetting me, I'm going to get more upset. But oh, when I dwell
on the mercy that I have received in Christ Jesus my Lord, it makes it easier to be merciful
to others. and to be forgiven to others. And it overwhelms
me. And I know it does you who you
who are blood bought saints. I know it overwhelms us. To consider
the mercy of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord, towards us, we who
are sinners. Oh, so we are to think upon God's
loving kindness towards us and think of that. It's not just
A love like we have for our family members. This is an everlasting
love. This is a love that's never changed. It's never changed because it's
in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Oh, it's wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. In verse
11, we see Zion rejoices in the Lord's mighty workings in the
Lord's mighty workings in verse 12 and 13. Now note verse 12
and 13, look at this. Walk about Zion, go around about
her, tell the towers thereof, mark ye well her bulwarks, consider
her palaces, that she may tell it to the generation following.
Now this is a survey of the city of Zion. They're walking around
surveying the city, and she's a guarded city. She's a protected
city. We are protected by God. In Christ
Jesus, our Lord, we're a guarded city, a protected people. In Christ Jesus, our Lord. And
we see that God is our refuge and our strength. And the almighty
sovereign God of the universe is the very one who keeps us
and the very one who protects us. And may this bring great
comfort to our souls. Great comfort to our souls. The
song closes with verse 14 in which we see God is our God forever. He's our God forever, beloved.
For this God is our God forever and ever. And He will be our
guide even unto death. Forever. He's our God while we're
here upon this earth. and here be our God in eternity.
Just there, we'll get to behold him face to face. Brother Marcus, we were talking
about that. What a day that'll be. What a day that'll be. My. When our faith will become sites
and we will spend eternity. With our savior, with our redeemer,
the Lord Jesus Christ, and it won't be based upon anything
that we do. Nothing that we've done. But all based upon what the Lord
Jesus Christ has done for us. Us. Living the perfect life that
we could never live. dying before the justice of God,
paying the full price that God demanded for my sins. And if
you're a believer for your sins. My. And now he's seated at the
right hand of the father. Interceding for us, and it won't
be long. One more be with him. One more
be with him. So let us consider now, in light
of that, our verse 10. Psalm 48, verse 10. It proclaims that the Lord's
right hand is full of righteousness, and this speaks of Christ and
Him alone. Christ and Him alone. He is the
one who is King Supreme. His name is the name above all
names. He is the one who is Lord of
Lords. And He is the right hand of God. Seated at the right hand
of God. And we see here, beloved, in
our text, that our Savior is not an empty-handed Savior, is
He? Now religion, they have an empty-handed
Savior. Because their God tells you that
God has done everything He can do. Now the rest is up to you. Well, if our God's done everything
He can do, right, and then we have to do something, mankind
is doomed. Because there's none that seeketh
after God, there's none that understandeth, there's none righteous,
no, not one. But, beloved, our God is not
an empty-handed Savior. Our God is a sovereign King.
His right hand is full of righteousness. And for His people, He is the
Lord, our righteousness. He is our righteousness. He is
our righteousness before God. He is the King of kings and the
Lord of lords. He is the perfect, spotless Savior. And the believer is clothed in
the righteousness of Christ. Turn, if you would, to Matthew
22. The righteousness of Christ is the wedding garment for the
believer. The wedding garment for the believer.
Remember the one who's at the wedding feast without a garment? Clothed in his own self-righteousness. Oh, the wedding garment we have,
the pure, spotless wedding garment is the righteousness of Christ. Matthew 22, verses 9 to 14. Go ye therefore into the highways,
and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those
servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as
many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was
furnished with guests. And when the king came in to
see the guests, he saw there was a man which had not on a
wedding garment. And he saith unto him, Friend,
how comest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And
he was speechless. Think of when lost men shall
stand in front of the Almighty God of the universe at the great
white judgment throne. At the great judgment throne,
they will be absolutely speechless. Speechless, clothed in their
own self-righteousness. Oh my. And the king came in and
saw, I guess he saw there was a man which had not on a wedding
garment. And he saith unto him, Friend, how comest thou in hither,
not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said
the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him
away, and cast him into utter darkness. There shall be weeping
and gnashing of teeth, for many are called, but few are chosen. God's people are clothed in the
perfect wedding garments, the spotless righteousness of Christ. And Luke, it's said to be the
best robe. Remember, the father said of
the prodigal, bring forth the best robe. That's the righteousness
of Christ, beloved, the best robe, the best spotless wedding
garments. And Christ alone is the one who
sustains all life, both physically and spiritually. He is alone
the one who provides food and water for all the world. Turn,
if you would, to Psalm 145. Psalm 145. And think of this.
Even His enemies who are shaking their fists at Him, they receive
what they have from His hand. From His hand. Psalm 145, verses
9 to 16. We see the benevolence of the
Lord to all. in supplying physical needs. The Lord is good to all with
his tender mercies over all, all his works. All thy works
shall praise thee, O Lord, and thy saints shall bless thee.
Verse 11, they shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom and
talk of thy power to make known to the sons of man his mighty
acts in the glorious majesty of his kingdom. And this is what
we proclaim. We proclaim the mighty acts of God. What is it
when we witness to people, right? We're telling them the great
things that God had done for me. He saved me. I couldn't save
myself, but He saved me. He purchased me with His own
precious blood on Calvary's cross. He did that which I could never
do, and I know it's so for you who believe. He's done it all,
hasn't He? Everything for us. So we proclaim
His mighty acts to our generation, to make known to the sons of
men His mighty acts and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. All are
subject to our great God and King, whether they believe it
or not. They are all subject to Him. Thy kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom. It'll never end. You'll never
abdicate His throne, beloved. He dwells in eternity. and thy
dominion endureth throughout all generations. We looked at
that today. Think of that. Rome rose. The
Lord's kingdom endured. Right? Greece rose and fell. Babylon rose and fell. Great
kingdoms have risen and fallen. And our Lord is still upon the
throne. He's still upon the throne. And as long as He tarries, generations
will rise and generations will fall. But His dominion will endure
throughout all generations, beloved. And then look at this. The Lord
upholdeth all that fall, and rises up all those that be bowed
down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee,
and Thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest Thy
hand, and satisfy the desire of every
living That's our God. That's our God. So we've looked at how God providentially
provides all things. And let us consider how the Lord's
right hand is full of righteousness. Let us consider in a few ways
spiritually how the Lord's right hand is full. Full. Absolutely full. According to
Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth. Thy
right hand is full of righteousness. Let us think of this. Our Lord
Jesus Christ is one whose hand is full of power. Full of power,
beloved. He governs and He rules all things
visible and invisible. And it's all according to His
sovereign will and power. And He saves whom He wills. And
you know that Scripture declares His arm, His hand is not shortened. Now in religion, their God's
hand is shortened, right? Because you can't do anything
unless you let Him. See, man then becomes the sovereign. We believe man's in the dust. You can't preach God high enough.
You can't preach God high. You can't proclaim God high enough. And listen to what Isaiah says.
It says this in Isaiah 59.1. Behold, the Lord's hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save. Neither is ear heavy that it
cannot hear. God can save the most violent
sinner if he so pleases. His hand is not shortened. This
gives us hope as hope. Turn, if you would, over to First
Chronicles 29, what power David ascribed to our great God and
king when he spoke before the congregation, what power And
then put your finger in Daniel chapter 4. Now, David and Nebuchadnezzar
were both kings. They knew what it meant to have
power. They're kings. They're ruling. They understand what power is. In 1 Chronicles chapter 29, verses
10 to 13. Wherefore David blessed the Lord
before all the congregation. 1 Chronicles 29, 10-13. Wherefore David blessed the Lord
before all the congregation. And David said, Blessed be thou,
Lord, God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Thine, O Lord,
is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory
and the majesty. For all that is in heaven and
in the earth is Thine. It's all His. Thine is the kingdom, O Lord,
and Thou art exalted as head above all. He rules supreme, beloved. Both
riches and honor come of Thee, and Thou reignest over all. And in Thy hand is power and
might, and in Thy hand it is to make great and to give strength
unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank
Thee and praise Thy glorious name. We thank Thee and praise
Thy glorious name. John. We'll look at Nebuchadnezzar
4 in a minute, but John, in light of what we just read there, John
17, oh my, our great God and King says this. These words spake
Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the
hour has come. Glorify thy son, that thy son
may also glorify thee as thou has given him power over all
flesh. Our Lord has power over all flesh. And He should give eternal life
to as many as thou hast given Him. His arm is not shortened,
beloved, that it cannot save mine. Turn, if you would, to
Daniel chapter 4. Again, another king, Nebuchadnezzar,
a great king, a great kingdom he had. He had been taught, after he'd
been eating dirt for a while, about the great power and majesty
of our God and King. And listen to what He proclaims
when He was restored. He proclaims this about our great
God and King. Daniel 4, verses 34 and 37. The
one whose right hand is full of majesty, the one who David
said has all power over all things. Daniel 4, verses 34 to 37. Look at this. And remember, this
is a King speaking this. This is one who knows what it
means to have dominion and power. And at the end of the days, I,
Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up mine eyes into heaven, and mine understanding
returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised
and honored Him that liveth forever. Oh, this man's been taught something. God's taught him something. Whose
dominion is an everlasting dominion. And his kingdom is from what?
Generations and generations. Generations rise and generations
fall. But our Lord's kingdom continues.
Continues. And look at this. And all the
inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing. Nothing. And he doeth According to His
will. Man likes to talk about free
will. There is only one free will in the universe and it's
God's will. Because He does according to
His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of
the earth. And none can stay His hand. None can say, what
are you doing? None. None. None can stay His hand
or say unto Him, what doest thou? At the same time, my reason returned
unto me and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and brightness
returned unto me and my counselors and my Lord sought unto me and
I was established in my kingdom and excellent majesty was added
unto me. Now I never can as a praise and exalt and honor the king
of heaven. The king of heaven, that's our God, the king of heaven.
All whose works are truth, in His ways judgment, and those
that walk in pride, He's able to abase. And does He not do
that for every one of us who believe? We were proud sinners,
rebels at one time. He's abased us. He's able to do it all, beloved.
He's able to do it. That's why we say, don't just
keep praying for your family members until they breathe their
last breath. My, because if it's His will to save them, He will.
He will. So we've seen that our God's
hand is full of power. Now let us consider this. The
hand of God is full of grace. Full of grace. His hand is full
of grace. Turn, if you would, to Genesis
chapter 6. Grace is God showing unmerited favor to undeserving
sinners. And there is nothing good in
us that would deserve the grace of God in Christ. Nothing. Nothing. And we are showing grace in and
through the Lord Jesus Christ in Him alone according to God's
divine will and purpose. Now look at this. In Genesis
chapter 6. God saw that the wickedness of
man, verse 5, was greater than the earth that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that
he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at heart.
And the Lord said, I will destroy men whom I have created from
the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping thing,
and the fowls of the air, for it repenteth me that I have made
them. But look at this, and you who believe, This is what we have received.
Look at this. But Noah found grace in the eyes
of the Lord. God's people, sinners by birth,
nature and choice, have found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Grace. We don't get what we deserve. we found grace in the eyes of
the Lord. Every blood-bought believer experiences
this. We have found grace in the eyes
of the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture declares this. Moreover,
the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded,
grace did much more abound. That is, sin hath reigned unto
death, even so might grace reign. Oh, beloved, grace reigns through
righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Grace
reigns. It reigns, beloved, through the
Lord Jesus Christ. And it comes to us who believe
in and through Him. Grace reigns in and through the
Lord Jesus Christ. It is in Him, in Him alone, that
we receive the grace of God and that we receive eternal life.
We are saved by grace through faith, right? And that not of
ourselves. It's a gift of God. Not of works. Lest any man should boast. We
boast in Christ. We boast in what He's done. He's
done it all. And you know the gospel is called
the grace of God. The gospel of the grace of God.
The application of it. Think of this. The application
of it. in any individual instance of
its saving power is called the grace of God. The grace of God. So we see that God's hand is
full of grace and that the grace of God is free, unmerited, undeserved,
and it flows from our sovereign God through Christ to His people. Let us consider this, the next
point, that our Lord's hand It's full of mercy. Full of mercy. Turn if you would to Psalm 62.
Psalm 62. And I'll read Daniel 9.18. which
says this, O my God, incline thine ear, and hear, open thine
eyes, and behold our desolations in the city, which is called
by thy name. For we do not present our supplications
before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. Oh,
God's mercies. They're not just mercies, beloved. They're great mercies. We've
not just received mercy, we've received great mercy. in and
through the Lord Jesus Christ in him alone. Think of that. How many of our sins are forgiven?
How many of our sins are washed away by the blood of the Lord
Jesus Christ? How many? All. That's mercy. That's mercy, beloved. Oh my. Psalm 62, verses 11 and 12, God
hath spoken once, twice, have I heard this, that power belongeth
unto God. There it is. It belongs unto
Him. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth
mercy. He's a merciful God, beloved. For thou renders to every man
according to his works. God's people receive mercy from
God. Again, we don't receive what we deserve. If we receive
what we deserve, we'd all be going to hell. But God's mercy
to us, beloved, it's pressed down. It's pressed down. It's
overflowing. It's overflowing to His people.
And it flows from the throne of God to His people in the person
of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mercy. Do you know that scripture
declares in Micah 7.18 that God delights in mercy? He delights
in mercy? It says this, who is our God
like unto thee? that pardoneth iniquity, that
pardons our iniquity, that passes by the transgression of the remnant
of his heritage. Passes by! When I see the blood,
I pass by! Oh, I pass over you! My! He passes by the transgressions
of the remnant of his heritage because they are covered in the
precious blood of Christ. He retaineth not his anger. His
anger is being turned away from us in Christ. What a savior. He retaineth not his anger forever
because he delighteth in mercy. God delights in mercy. And we
who are recipients of that mercy, oh, we we say praise your mighty
name. Praise your mighty name. Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to
his mercy he has saved us, by the washing of the regeneration
and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which he shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by his grace
we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3, verses 5 to 7. O beloved, our Lord's hand is
full of mercy, full of mercy. Now let us consider the next
point is our God's hand is full of love, full of love. His love
for us, for his people has been manifested. Now think of this,
his love for his people has been manifested in the fact, in the
fact that he sent his son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the word of
God to die in our place. That's God's love being manifested
to his people. But God commandeth his love toward
us, and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He manifested his love. We were
dead in trespasses and sins, but God loves his people with
a great love, with an everlasting love. The one who is rich in
mercy, he sought us out, didn't he? I ask any one of you who
are saved, did you seek God or did he seek you? We sought him after we were regenerated,
eh? Born again. But he sought us
out. We were lost. We had no care for God. And he
sought us out. Praise his mighty name. My! He seeks his people. And then we seek him after we're
regenerated. And he turns us to the Lord.
The Holy Spirit turns us to the Lord Jesus Christ. shows us our
desperate need, the unwilling are made willing, and they flee
to Christ. And it's all because He's loved
us with an everlasting love. And then we spend a lifetime
of resting and reposing in our wonderful Savior, the One who
has redeemed us, the One who has purchased our eternal souls. But God, who is rich in mercy
for His great love, wherewith He loved us, Even when we were
dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. Now,
Ephesians 2. But God, who is rich in mercy
for His great love, wherewith He loved us. His love is an everlasting
love, beloved. Even when we were dead in sins. To my shame, when I was shaking
my fist at God, when I was using His name in vain, He loved me. even when we were dead, and sins
hath quickened us together with Christ by grace, ye are saved."
God's love for his people was manifested in the death of the
Lord Jesus Christ for his people. Turn, if you would, to 1 John,
chapter 4. 1 John, chapter 4. Oh, His love for His people was
manifested in the death of Christ Jesus, our Lord, on Calvary's
cross, because He was sent to be a propitiation for our sins,
to turn away the wrath of God from us. And He did it, beloved. Look
at these wonderful words written to God's people, here in His
love. 1 John 4.10, here in His love. Not that we love God. We didn't
love God. We do now we who believe do now, but there was a time
when we did Not that we love God, but that he loved us now
now now think of this beloved here. We are it's 2017 right
and We who believe love God Right, but this scripture declares here
Here in his love not that we love God, but that he loved us.
We weren't even born but that he loved us and sent
his son to be the propitiation for our sins. My beloved, this
love is an everlasting love. And think of this, this love
will never change. Never. His love never changes
towards his people. He's always loved us. Here in His love, not that we
love God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation
for our sins. What love. What love this is. So God's hand is full of love. And then let us consider that
God's hand is full of salvation. In religion, salvation is something
you must help God to do. As I said, they tell you, I still
hear it. God's done everything He can
do. It's all up to you. It's up to you. It's your decision. It's
your decision, they say. Oh, if it's our decision, none
of us would be saved. Not one of us. But I thank God that salvation's
in the Lord. It's His doing. It's His doing,
beloved. Oh, salvation's His from the
beginning. to the end. Psalm 118, 15 and
16 says this, The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles
of the righteous. The right hand of the Lord doeth
valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is
exalted. The right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. Valiantly
in Hebrew means powerfully. Powerfully. God's power is exercised
in the salvation of every single one of His sheep. It's exercised. In His hand is a hand that is
full of salvation. We are absolutely powerless to
save ourselves. But the One who saves us, beloved,
the Lord Jesus Christ, He has all power and might. And we looked
at that in John 17 too. And three is thou has power has
given him power over all flesh that he should give eternal life
to as many as thou has given him. That doesn't sound like
what religions pushing, is it? They say it's up to you, don't
they? Our savior. As all power. All power. He can give eternal
life to as many as thou has given him. Somebody's lying. And it's going to lead to the
eternal doom of those who listen to them. And this is life eternal,
that they might know Thee, the only true God in Jesus Christ,
whom Thou hast sent. So we who have been redeemed
by Christ proclaim, along with brother Jonah, that salvation
is of the Lord. Salvation is of the Lord. Next,
let us consider that God's hand is full of righteousness. We are clothed in the righteousness
of Christ. And His righteousness, as we
looked at in Matthew, is the wedding garment at the marriage
supper of the Lamb. Turn, if you would, to Romans,
chapter 4. Romans, chapter 4. And let us consider, from these
three verses in Romans, how blessed God's elect are, in heaven Christ's
righteousness imputed to them, and our sins imputed to Christ.
Look at this in Romans, chapter 4. Romans chapter 4 verses 6 to
8, even as David also described it, the blessedness of the man
unto whom God imputed righteousness. Look at this. Now, in religion,
they tell you what you got to do. Righteousness without works,
the scripture declares. Not our works. His works. What he's done, beloved. what he's done. Righteousness
without works. Saying, and look at this, if
you're a believer, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven.
We are so blessed, beloved. Whose sins are what? Covered. Covered in the blood of Christ
Jesus our Lord. Covered. God remembers our sins
no more. As far as the East is from the
West. They're gone. Blessed is the man to whom the
Lord will not impute sin. What a Savior! What a Redeemer! Christ is all our righteousness. He's also all our wisdom. He's
all our sanctification. He's all our redemption that
we might glory in Christ and Him alone. We don't glory in ourselves,
do we? We glory in our Savior. The last point I'd like us to
look at is God's hand is full of justice. Full of justice. 2 Samuel 23 says this, The God
of Israel said, The rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over
man must be just, willing in the fear of God. Our God is proclaimed
in Scripture as the Just One. Turn, if you would, to Acts 22.
Acts 22. And then put your finger in Acts
3. Our God is called the Just One.
Acts 22, 14. In Acts chapter 3. And he said, The God of our fathers
hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that just
one Christ must be revealed to us, and shouldest hear the voice
of his mouth. And then over in Acts 3, verses
14 and 15, it says this, But she denied the Holy One and the
just. Oh, beloved, He's the Holy One.
He's the just one. And desired a murderer to be
granted unto you. and killed the Prince of Life,
whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses. And then over in Acts 7, it says
this, Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always
resist the Holy Ghost, as your fathers did so, do ye. Which
of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they
have slain, which showeth before of the coming of the just one,
that's Christ, of whom ye have now the betrayers and murderers. who have received the law by
dispensation of angels and have not kept it. Oh, our Lord Jesus
Christ is the just one, the just one. Zechariah 9.9 says this,
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee. He is just and heaven's
salvation. He is just in heaven, salvation,
their salvation and no other but the Lord Jesus Christ. None. None. God himself in the flesh,
God himself in the flesh declared, I am the way, the truth and the
life. No man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. God himself, the Lord Jesus Christ,
in the flesh, declared those words. I am the way, which means
there's no other way. I am the truth. He is truth. And I am the way. There's no
other way to the Father, but in and through the Lord Jesus
Christ. So we've looked at a few points, and there are many, many
more. Many, many more. where we see that our God's hand
is full. And let us remember that our
gracious Lord will supply all our needs. All our needs. And
He does so physically and spiritually. More importantly spiritually,
everything that a sinner needs is in Christ. Everything. Everything. Scripture declares
He is Jehovah Jireh. Jehovah Jireh, which means the
Lord shall provide. And beloved, He does so for His
people abundantly, daily. We are daily loaded down with
benefits. And the Lord fully and eternally
provides all things for His church in and through the Lord Jesus
Christ. And only, think of this too, remember this, only that
which the Lord provides will He accept. to the praise of the glory of
His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. We're
accepted in Christ Jesus our Lord. Oh, sing unto the Lord
a new song, for He hath done marvelous things. His right hand
and His holy arm hath gotten Him the victory. By His sovereign and almighty
grace, believers enjoy the fullness of salvation. In the Lord Jesus
Christ dwells all the fullness of God. All the fullness of God. And believers are gloriously
made whole, full, and complete in Christ. Paul penned this to
the Colossian believers. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness
of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete. In Him, complete,
all marvelous words for the believer. Complete in Him, which is the
head of all principality and power. He is all majesty, beloved. All majesty. And we can honestly
say with the Apostle Paul, thanks be to God, which gives us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through our Lord Jesus
Christ. In God's people, we say praise
and glory and honor to our great God and King, the Lord Jesus
Christ. He's worthy, beloved. He's worthy. Gracious Heavenly Father, we
come before Thy throne so thankful for you allowing us the time
to gather together around your word. Oh Lord, may you be glorified. May you be magnified. May we
leave this place, we who believe, may we leave this place rejoicing
in what a mighty God you are and how you purchased salvation
for us by your precious blood and all by what you've done is
the only reason we are saved. And we love thee and praise thee.
In Jesus' name, amen.
