That was beautiful. Absolutely
wonderful. Today we'll be in Psalm chapter
9. Psalm 9. I'd like to read the
whole Psalm and then we'll just be looking at a couple of verses
in it. Psalm 9. Psalm of David. The name of the message is Rejoicing
in God's Salvation. Rejoicing in God's Salvation. I will praise Thee, O Lord, with
my whole heart. I will show forth all Thy marvelous
works. I will be glad and rejoice in
Thee. I will sing to Thy name, O Thou Most High. When my enemies
are turned back they shall fall and perish at Thy presence. For
Thou hast maintained my right in my cause. Thou saddest in
the throne, judging right. Thou hast rebuked the heathen.
Thou hast destroyed the wicked. Thou hast put out their name
forever and ever. O Thou enemy, destructions are
come to a perpetual end. and thou hast destroyed cities.
Their memorial is perished with them. But the Lord shall endure
forever. He hath prepared his throne for
judgment, and he shall judge the world in righteousness. He
shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge
for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will
put their trust in thee. For thou, Lord, hast not forsaken
them that seek thee. Sing praises to the Lord which
dwelleth in Zion. Declare among the people his
doings. and he maketh inquisition for
blood, he remembereth them, he forgeteth not the cry of the
humble. Have mercy upon me, O Lord. Martin Luther said there's the
whole Bible in one little phrase. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, and
God has mercy on his people in Christ. Consider my trouble when
I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from
the gates of death. that I may show forth all Thy
praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Thy
salvation. The heathen are sunk down in
the pit that they made. In the net which they hid is
their own foot taken. The Lord is known by the judgment
which He executes. The wicked is snared in the work
of His own hands. Higgion Sila, the wicked shall
be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God,
for the needy shall not always be forgotten, the expectation
of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise, O Lord, let not
man prevail, let the heathen be judged in Thy sight. Put them
in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but
men. See you. Here in this psalm, We have a
proclamation. A proclamation which only a redeemed
child of God can cry. Look at verse 14 at the latter
part of that. I will rejoice in thy salvation. I will rejoice in thy salvation. Now we know from scripture In
Jonah 2, verse 9, that salvation is of the Lord. It's His in His
planning. It's His in how He's put it into
motion. And it will forever be salvation
of the Lord. It's only through Christ and
Him alone. And God's people rejoice in that
fact. We rejoice that salvation is
in the Lord, because we know we can never save ourselves.
If we are to be saved, it must be by and through and in Christ
alone, or we will perish. Or we will perish. Now the world and its religions
will always promote what they do. False teachers will always
tell you what you have to do. But here before us, note this,
we have David crying forth that he will rejoice in whose salvation?
God's salvation. I will rejoice in Thy salvation. This salvation is only in Christ.
It's nowhere else. And the wicked do not rejoice
in the God of the Bible. They do not know Him. And they
know nothing of this wonderful salvation which David proclaims.
And before the Lord saved me, I didn't know it. Was it so for
you? But God is gracious to reveal
Christ to His people. And then we know His name. Then
we know His name. We didn't before. Do you know
who Emmanuel is? God with us. Did you know it
before He revealed it to you? Oh, He reveals His name to His
people. Look at verse 10. They that know Thy name. They that know Thy name. What
do they do? They that have had this name
revealed to them. Christ. And they that know their name.
What will they do? What is the result of one who who who trusting? Who or who has had Christ revealed
to them? They will trust him They will
trust him They will cast their whole eternal soul upon him For thou Lord Jehovah Look at
this has not forsaken them that seek thee I don't care how black
your sin is Christ will never forsake Never
forsake anyone who comes to him And we know that They that know
thy name are they who are made willing and they who put their trust
in Him. But the wicked do not rejoice in the God of the Bible.
They do not know His name. They have no care for God, no
care at all for God. And I was there once, and I know
you all were there too at one time. They have no care for God
or the things of God. As we're all born into this world
dead in trespasses and sins. But praise be to God. He did
not leave us where we were. And if you're redeemed, praise
Him. Praise Him He didn't leave you
in the situation we were in. Now we know His name. We didn't
then. But now we know His name. Now we know His name. We're born
again by the Holy Spirit of God. And we rejoice with David now,
don't we? We rejoice. I will rejoice in thy salvation. Oh, Lord, it's all you. It's all you, from beginning
to end. As Brother Henry Mahan said,
Jesus is God's alphabet. The alpha and the omega. And
everything in between. Everything in between, beloved.
And we rejoice with David. in God's salvation, in Thy salvation. Because we had revealed to us
that we could never save ourselves. And we rejoice in the salvation
which is found only in Christ and Him alone. And we believe,
we who believe, we've been taught of God, haven't we? He's the
one who taught us. He's the one who revealed Christ
to us. We were walking around blind as bats and totally deaf. And we're given eyes to see the
Savior. And ears to hear His voice, like
Brother Matt by the shepherd's voice. Just like Lazarus, He
called Lazarus. He didn't call everyone. He didn't
say, come forth. He said, Lazarus, come forth.
That's effectual calling. Calling the sheep by His name,
beloved. And that's what He does for every
one of His people through the preaching of the gospel. And we who have been taught of
God, we realize that everything in
this world is vanity and vexation of the Spirit. And to God's enlightened
children, the pursuits of this world and the possessions of
the wealthiest person on earth dwindle into insignificance with
the value of our soul. Brother Matt brought that out
in Sunday School. Dwindle in insignificance. What shall you give in exchange
for your soul? There's nothing we can. There's nothing we can. We must
come to Christ bankrupt. Empty handed sinners. With nothing. Good news. The good news, though,
for we who are sinners is this. Christ came to save sinners. He came to save sinners. He paid all that God the man,
the mountain of my sin, we used to live when we lived in Oregon
and you look at those mountains and they are huge. And my sin was like that mountain. Just mine alone. And He paid all that God demanded
for my sins. And for the sins of all His people. So what can I give in exchange
for my soul? Nothing in myself. I must look
to Christ in Him alone. And this is why we tell you,
flee to Christ. He's your only hope. How can
we pay for a mountain of sin? We can't pay. But Christ has
paid it all for His people. Everything that God has demanded.
Everything. All the merit before God for
the believer, all our justification before God All our righteousness
before God is in Christ and Him alone. It is nowhere else. Nowhere
else. And the unfailing source of our
joy and comfort for God's people is in God's salvation. I will
rejoice in Thy salvation. That's where all our comfort
is. That's where all our joy is, is in Christ and Him alone. Christ and Him alone. Now no
one can rejoice in salvation unless Christ has been revealed
to him. We must be given an understanding of who we are, and what we are,
and more importantly, who Christ is, and what He's done. And this the Holy Spirit does
through the preaching of the Gospel. of God's free grace in
Christ, He reveals the necessity of salvation to the sinner. And
He does this by revealing to the sinner what we are. Bankrupt
before God. No hope in ourselves. Guilty, fallen, condemned before
a holy and righteous God. And then the Holy Spirit will
reveal to the sinner who Christ is, and what He has accomplished
on Calvary's cross, and how He has accomplished salvation by
the shedding of His own precious blood, His atoning death upon
the cross, and by His resurrection, and how He now lives and makes
intercession for us, for His people. And the reason the sinner
believes that is because he's already being regenerated by
the Holy Spirit of God. Turn, if you would, to 1 Timothy
1. 1 Timothy 1, verses 12 to 17. And we will see why the psalmist
wrote, I will rejoice in thy salvation. 1 Timothy 1, verses
12-17. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
who hath enabled me, for that he hath counted me faithful,
put me into the ministry. And here's Paul giving us a testimony
of who he was, who was before a blasphemer and a persecutor. and injurious, and we can see
ourselves there, can't we? We can see ourselves there. But
I obtained mercy. Oh, every believer in Christ
has obtained mercy, beloved. Obtained mercy. because I did
it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was
exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
There it is. It's all in Him. It's nowhere
else. This is a faithful saying and
worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into the world
to save sinners of whom I'm chief. And every believer looks at distances. Praise be to God. Christ Jesus
came into the world to save sinners. That's me. That's me. Halibate for this cause, I obtain
mercy. Again, he tells us two times
in four verses there, I've obtained mercy that in me first Jesus
Christ might show forth all longsuffering for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Now unto the king,
oh he's king beloved, eternal. He has no end, no beginning,
immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory
forever and ever, amen. Now we know why David pens, I'll
rejoice in thy salvation, Lord, because I've obtained mercy.
I've obtained mercy. And it's only in Christ. It's
nowhere else. It's nowhere else. Salvation
in Christ brings pardon to the guilty. Salvation in Christ brings
justification to the condemned. Salvation in Christ brings liberty
to the captives. Salvation in Christ brings sight
to the spiritually blind. Salvation in Christ brings spiritual
life to those who are spiritually dead. Salvation in Christ brings
hearing to the spiritually deaf and salvation in Christ brings
preservation now in this world to redeem sinners who can't keep
ourselves. And it's all in Christ, beloved.
It's all in him. And this is why David Penn, I
rejoice in thy salvation, Lord. Because it's all you. It's all
what you've done. And the believer just rests,
rests in Christ. We look to him alone, don't we?
We don't look to ourselves. We look to him alone. And he
gives understanding to those who had no understanding of the
things of God. And to sum it all up, beloved,
what Paul wrote in Ephesians, all spiritual blessings are in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus our Lord. And the believer rejoices. We rejoice. All that I need is
in Christ. All that a sinner needs is in
Christ. And we rejoice in the salvation,
which is entirely of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we rejoice
in how it displays the glory of God. And it ascribes all glory
to Him. All to Him. And it will cause
us, we who are the recipients of this grace, we who have obtained
the mercy, as Paul wrote, it will cause us to rejoice.
to rejoice in thy salvation, to rejoice that he's showing
us mercy. And we saw what the wicked, what
happens to the wicked. But God's people receive mercy,
mercy, undeserved, unmerited mercy. He went to the cross. And laid
on Him was every sin of every believer, out of every tribe,
out of every nation, out of every tongue, out of every kindred,
out of every generation. Every believer, all the elect
of all the ages, all their sins were laid upon Him, imputed to
Him. And He paid what God demanded. Everything God demanded. And
He put away the sins of His people, beloved, fully, finally, and
completely. That's why we rejoice in Thy
salvation. That's why we rejoice in this
wonderful salvation, which is only in Christ and Him alone.
Because He has fully, finally, and completely put away our sins. far as the east is from the west. And we, like David, say, I rejoice
in thy salvation. Oh, my. The sinless one, the
Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, bore our sins, bore our sins
in our place on Calvary's tree. And he was buried and rose again
victoriously. Think on this. I was listening
to Brother Henry Mahan yesterday. He brought out something. When
people say that it's their decision, when they say you've got to make
a decision, do you know what they're really saying? They're
really saying that the work of Christ wasn't complete. That's what they're really saying. We preach the Savior. who has
fully, completely paid for our sins, and we rejoice. There's nothing for us to do
but to look to Him. We just look to Him. What a merciful
Savior. What a wonderful Savior. And
this wonderful substitute of ours,
the Lord Jesus Christ, We rejoice that He has shown
us mercy, that God has shown us mercy in Christ, as He perfectly
obeyed all that God demanded in our place. And then we wonder
and are in awe that His perfect righteousness is imputed to us. Oh my. And beloved, when He entered
glory, He entered victoriously. It's finished. It's completed. Nothing's to be added. Nothing
to be done. Nothing to be contributed by
any human being. Just look to Christ and believe
upon Him. Just receive Him. Because He's
our salvation in all of its fullness. Our salvation in all of its fullness
is Christ. Our salvation in all of its completeness
is Christ. Our salvation in all of its totality
is Christ. All of its efficacy is Christ.
All the sufficiency is Christ. It's all Him. That's why Paul
penned, Christ is our all in all. He's everything. He's our life. He's our hope. Christ is all of our salvation,
and God's people rejoice in Thy salvation, in God's salvation. We're made wise. We're made wise
unto salvation. Turn, if you would, to 2 Timothy
3.14. We've had Christ revealed to
us. We never knew Him before. God's people are made wise unto
salvation. They're given an understanding
of who Christ is. And what we are. And it's all
by the Holy Spirit revealing this to us. Through the Word
of God. Look at 2 Timothy 3, 14-17. 2
Timothy 3, 14-17. and that from a child thou hast
known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture
is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be perfectly furnished unto all good works."
Now the word wise there is to render wise, in the Greek, to
render wise, make wise. See, we're not wise of who God
is and who Christ is until He reveals Himself. He makes us
wise. He makes, He reveals Christ.
The Holy Spirit reveals Christ. They also, the underlying Greek
means to make wise, teach. Turn, if you would, to John 6,
45. And then the last The point in the Greek is to
become wise, to become wise. God's people, I'm looking at
folks here who are saved by the grace of God in Christ and you
being made wise into salvation. We have an understanding to enlighten,
the Greek continues. We are taught of God, beloved,
by the Holy Spirit. Look at John 6.45. It is written in the prophets.
That's the Old Testament. They shall be taught of God.
Every man, therefore, that hath heard and hath learned of the
Father, what? Cometh unto me. Turn, if you
would, to Psalm 25. Psalm 25. It is written in the
prophets. We're going to go through a few
books here, just quickly. Psalm 25, and then put your finger
in Isaiah chapter 2. Psalm 25. Where in the prophets
does it say will be taught of God psalm 25 verses 8 and 9 Good and upright is the Lord
Therefore will he? teach sinners in the way The
meek will he guide in judgment in the meek will he teach his
way? John 6 45 said it is written
in the prophets, and they shall all or they shall be all taught
of God There it is, beloved. And turn, if you would, to Isaiah
chapter 2, and also Isaiah 54, 13. Isaiah chapter 2, verse 3. Isaiah 2, 3, And many people
shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountains
of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, and He will
teach us of His ways. We're taught of God, beloved.
We've had revealed to us Christ. To the house of the God of Jacob,
and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.
For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord
from Jerusalem. And then Isaiah 54.13 says, and remember this in John 6.45,
it is written in the prophets that they shall be all taught
of God. Every man therefore that hath
heard and hath learned of the Father cometh unto me. Isaiah
54.13, and all thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great
shall be the peace of thy children. And then I'll read Micah 4.2
which says this, and many nations shall come, and say, come, let
us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God
of Jacob. Let us go there. And he will teach us of his ways.
He'll teach us of his ways. He'll teach us of Christ. And
we will walk in his paths. Remember John 6, 45. Every man
that therefore that hath learned and hath learned of the Father
cometh unto me. We walk in His path. For the law shall go forth as
I am in the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Now none but
those who are regenerated and taught of God can ever rejoice
in this salvation spoken of. Turn back to Psalm chapter 9.
None but those who are regenerated, those who are taught of God can
rejoice in this salvation and those who are taught of God We
felt our need of the salvation spoken of in our text. And it's
been revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has opened
our eyes, the eyes of our understanding, and revealed to His people their
great need. Their great need. And He reveals to us our great
Savior. Our great Savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ. Our text proclaims, I will rejoice
in thy salvation. Now what is the opposite of rejoicing?
Depression, misery, sadness, sorrow, unhappiness, complaining. All these things plague we who
are humans, don't they? They plague us. They plague us. And they'll plague us until we
go home to be with the Lord. Thankfully there, there will
be no sin. But that's the opposite. And
it's natural for us to be in those states, isn't it? How quickly I can fall into complaining. I'll tell you, it's not hard
at all. And I hate it when I do it. But what's the opposite of that?
Ah, rejoice in thy salvation. I have to keep my mind upon Christ.
I have to keep my mind focused upon Him. And true salvation
always produces joy, doesn't it? And rejoicing when we look
to Christ, when we look to Christ, when we look to Him. I rejoice
in thy salvation. Again, I say it's easy for us
to complain, but when we contemplate, when we contemplate, when we
think about this wonderful salvation, when we think that that whole
mountain of sin for we who believe is God, is paid for by the precious blood
of Christ. When we start to think about
our Savior, who He is, God incarnate in the flesh, when we start to
think of what He did and we personalize this for me, it'll make you rejoice. You start to rejoice. Oh my. Let us think on this. The sick person rejoices when
his disease departs. Or when we get a good diagnosis.
Should not we who have been saved by the precious blood of Christ
then rejoice? The debtor rejoices when all
his debts are discharged. Should not we who have had all
our sins bought and paid for rejoice? The prisoner, when pardoned or
given a reprieve, when he hears the opening of the prison doors,
imagine Barnabas. He probably rejoiced. We were
prisoners of sin. We were held captive. Oh, it should make us rejoice. What's some reasons why we should
rejoice? We who are repentant sinners, we who have obtained
mercy, ponder the fact that we are saved. We're saved from the guilt of
sin. We're saved from the condemnation of sin. We're saved from the
dominion of sin. We're saved from the power of
sin and death. We're saved from the dominion
of the grave. And we are saved from the vengeance
and wrath and justice of God. And it's all being appeased in
Christ. And this is why we rejoice in
Thy salvation. And His salvation is Christ.
And that's where salvation is, only in Christ. Through the sin-atoning
death of the Lord Jesus Christ, through His salvation, through
divine mercy, we who believe rejoice in His salvation. And this rejoicing is over our
eternal soul being redeemed by an infinite price, the precious
blood of Christ. and the death of Christ before
God's holy law and justice. And we rejoice that we've been
saved from our sins, which demanded our death. And Christ dies in the room and
place of sinners. And we rejoice at our wonderful
substitute. And we have this wonderful salvation
in Christ right now, don't we? Right now. right now. But what infinite joy awaits
us when we enter into glory. When we won't be battling with
sin anymore. And the only reason is because
of the precious blood of Christ. What a possession though for
the believer right here. We go through trials and Things
we're going through, sometimes we tell people, sometimes we
don't. But what a possession for the
believer here on earth. I will rejoice in thy salvation.
I'll rejoice in thy salvation. What security the believer has
here on earth. What joy awaits us in heaven. But oh, how we rejoice now that
Christ has redeemed our souls. And this salvation is the Lord's
salvation. Let's look at the verse before,
the one that we looked at. Let's look at verse 13. Look
at this. Have mercy upon me, O Lord. Is that not the sinner's cry?
Remember the publican? Oh, I thank God. Or remember
the Pharisee? I thank God that I'm not like that publican over
there. Oh, I've done this and I give
that. It's like God can't do anything without them. And there's the Babakan. God,
be merciful to me. Oh, God, please be merciful to
me. A sinner. Have mercy. We see David here.
Have mercy upon me, O Lord. He knows what he is. Consider
my trouble, which I suffer of them that hate me, now that liftest
me up from the gates of death, that I might show forth all thy
praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in thy
salvation." Now here are three quick points. Three quick points. Why we rejoice in the salvation
of the Lord. Number one, the believer rejoices
in the origin. of his salvation, the origin
of this salvation spoken of in the text. It is a result of distinguishing
grace. The sovereign goodness and unmerited
compassion in favor of God shown to sinners in Christ. I was looking
this morning, I got up early, couldn't sleep, got up early,
and I was looking at a reunion site that somebody put on Facebook
for my high school 40th reunion. And I was going through there
and I was looking at some of the people and remembered who
they were, remembered some of them were good friends, some
of them were just people I knew. But it struck me. How many of
them are saved? I have no idea. Probably not
very many, if any. And the Lord saved me. And I look and I see them doing
the same things that I used to do. And if God hadn't saved me, I'd
still be doing all that. But I obtained mercy. I obtained mercy. And who made
me to differ from all those folks? 1 Corinthians 4, 7. For who maketh
thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou
didst not receive? Now, in 1 Corinthians 4, 7, when
it says, who maketh thee to differ? In the Greek, that's who distinguished
you. Who made you to differ from anyone
else? Who made you to differ in the fact of giving you mercy?
God, and only God alone. For who maketh thee to differ
from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive?
Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou
hadst not received it? So this salvation, we rejoice
in the origin of this salvation because we do not deserve it.
We rejoice in the origin of this salvation because we have no
title to it. No title to it. And we rejoice in this salvation
because we would never seek it unless he sought us first. God himself, God himself, the
Lord Jesus Christ, God himself, condescended to save his people
from their sins. Number two, the believer rejoices
in the obtaining of the salvation, which is in Christ alone. Turn,
if you would, to John chapter three, John chapter three or
John 19. I'm sorry, John 19. The believer
rejoices in the obtaining of the salvation, which is in Christ
alone. When the believer sees our redeemer,
the Lord Jesus Christ in the garden on the cross, he weeps,
but there are tears of joy, too, aren't they? As we know, we could never save
ourselves. Look at John 19 verses 28 to 30. After this, Jesus, knowing at
all things, how was this salvation obtained and spoken of in Psalm
9? After this, Jesus, knowing at
all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled,
saith I first. Now there was said a vessel full
of vinegar, and they filled the sponge with vinegar and put it
upon Hisop and put it to his mouth. Verse 30, when Jesus had
therefore received the vinegar, he said, It is finished. And he bowed his head and gave
up the ghost. There's the obtaining of our
salvation, beloved. The death. The death of our substitute. But he rose from the grave, right?
And he rose for our justification. And we see here in that text
there in John 19, we see Christ's astonishing love for His people.
Christ's everlasting love for His people. A love so vast that
our Savior died as our substitute upon the cross for us, shedding
His own precious blood to purchase our eternal souls. And we see
Him bearing our sins and dying in our place. And it causes us
to both weep and to rejoice. Because our salvation is complete
in our Savior. Complete in Him. The third point is the believer
rejoices in the glorious properties of this salvation, which is in
Christ alone. We rejoice in the freeness of
this wonderful salvation. It requires no qualifications,
no conditions. We come to Christ as guilty sinners
in need of Him, with nothing in our hands, nothing
to offer for our salvation. And we rejoice in the power of
this wonderful salvation, which is in Christ alone, the saving
of guilty sinners, guilty sinners from the guilt, penalty, dominion
and condemnation of sins. And we rejoice in the extensiveness
of this wonderful salvation, which is in Christ alone, and
the completeness of this wonderful salvation, which is in Christ
alone. This salvation is the complete
salvation, as Christ has paid for all my sins. And David knew this, and that's
why he said, I rejoice in thy salvation. And I give unto them, oh, the
certainty of the salvation, the soul who trusts in Christ. The
master himself said these words. And I give unto them eternal
life. And they shall never perish. Neither shall any man pluck them
out of my hand." That's security. That's security. And the last
point is this. The believer rejoices in the
everlastingness of this wonderful salvation. It never ends. It's forever. It's forever. It's in Christ alone. And one
day, all we who believe in Christ will be with our great God and
King. We'll be with Him. We'll be with all the other blood-washed
saints. All of them. There won't be one
sheep missing. Not one. And we'll be with them for eternity. Where there shall be no more
death. Neither sorrow nor crying. Neither shall there be any more
pain. for the former things are passed away. And we will be there, we who
are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, forever. And as Brother Neil told me last
week when he was leaving, only God can save forever. Only God. And mean it. And it'll be all because of God's
amazing grace in Christ alone. Psalm 1611 says this, Thou will
show me the path of life. It's only in Christ. In thy presence is fullness of
joy. At thy right hand there are pleasures
forevermore. A few more storms shall beat
on this wild rocky shore, and we shall be where tempests cease
and surges swell no more. A few more struggles here, a
few more partings o'er, a few more toils, a few more tears,
and we shall weep no more. Gracious Heavenly Father, we
come before Thy throne. And we who have been redeemed
by the precious blood of Christ, we rejoice in Thy salvation. We rejoice in how You sought
us lost sheep, Wandering around in darkness, dead in trespasses
and sins. And yet you sought us. And the
Holy Spirit regenerated us. And oh Lord, we saw what we are. And we saw who you are and what
you've done. And we fled to you. We pray,
oh Lord, that if it's your will, that you draw your lost sheep
to you today. And we give you all the praise and glory and
honor. In Jesus' name, amen.
