precious promises for aged saints.

Your shoes shall be iron and brass, and as your days, so shall your strength be. Do not cast me away when I am old. Do not forsake me when my strength is gone.

Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree. They will grow like a cedar of Lebanon, planted in the house of the Lord. They will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age. They will stay fresh and green.

Hearken unto me, I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary afflictions are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
