Every day is an exciting day because God has something in store. He has a plan and purpose for us.

This past Wednesday, Pastor Kent W. Clark shared with us an experience he had at a recent thrift store conference.

We are not religious; we are Christ centered.

If you would see our Church and meet our people, you would know that we're nothing special. We don't have a whole lot of money, we've done a lot of bad things, but God in His mercy and grace has done something inside of us.

Every day to me is an exciting
day because I know God has something in store
every day. He has a plan and purpose every
day for me and you too, but this is the way I live my life. I
can't tell you how many times I get up of a morning and one
of the first things that crossed my mind is, I wonder who I'll
meet today. I wonder who God will put in
my life today. I wonder who I'll get to talk
to today. I wonder what miracle God will
do today. That's a great way to live life,
believing that God is in it and has a plan and purpose. I have got to meet so many people
over these 70 plus years that God has put in my life and it
happened again this week. I met a lady named Sanya Chow
Kim. A Korean lady. She was 80 years old. And she
was talking to a person on the phone, she was in Texas, she
was talking to this man that was telling her he was coming
to a thrift store conference in Pontiac, Michigan. And she
said something like, Pontiac, Michigan? That was where my first job was. I worked at Pontiac General. She's a doctor. 45 years ago. She began to tell
me a little bit about her life and she said, you know, I've
been to just about every nation on the top of this earth in some
kind of ministry way. And she said this, what a high
compliment this is to us. You're not religious. She said,
you are Jesus-centered. That's a high compliment. Especially
if she had only heard about us one time. She said, I can't believe,
I have never seen, I've been a Christian all these years,
and I have, she said, I have never seen anything like what's
going on at Grace Centers. The big problem in my 50-some
years of ministry is I couldn't find a Jesus-centered congregation. I mean, that's all they preach. They say, well, Pastor, you preach
the same thing all the time. I know. And a little old 80-year-old
Korean doctor from Texas recognized it. And she'll never know till
we get to heaven what a blessing that was. The church is so off base. What got me thrown out of the
Baptist church, I just made this statement at a Bible conference.
You've made a God out of the Baptist church. You've got the
cart before the horse. It's Christ. It's the gospel
first. God doesn't want us wavering
away from that. I see some of the things that
some of you are putting on Facebook, and I thank God for what you're
putting on there. How awesome it is that you too
are Christ-centered and putting it out there. If you would see
our church and meet our people, you would know we're nothing
special. We don't have a whole lot of money. We've done a lot
of bad things, but God in His mercy and grace
has done something inside of us. Amen.
