There was a time when the beginning, began. God, the great creator, the great spirit, spoke nothing into something!
This past Sunday, Pastor Kent W. Clark dove into a discussion on the size and vastness of the universe; how our magnificent God made all of that come to be, just by speaking it into existence!
That same God; the God who created everything; created us, a bunch of rebels that have sinned and rebelled against Him!
That same God, the God who turned the lights on in His beginning, turned the lights on in our hearts!
Before the beginning ever began, before there existed anything, God chose us, and He loved us with an everlasting love!
Oh, what a beautiful mystery!
Here's another highlight from our Sunday service!

There was a time when beginning
began. We'll say, pastor, you know,
I think you need to go on another vacation. John 1 says this, in the beginning
was the word. It doesn't mean the Word became
the Word in the beginning. The Word was already the Word
in the beginning. And the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. The same was in the beginning,
John 1.1, with God. All things were made by Him,
and without Him was not anything made that was made. I'm a creationist. I believe God spoke. Nothing into something. I believe
that God is the great Creator. This great Spirit. Genesis 1.1
says, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Do
you know there are 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies? With 200 billion to 400 billion
stars? So what? What are you talking about? I'm
talking about this God. There are 11 billion sun-like
stars. 11 billion sun-like stars. 40 billion earth-sized planets
orbiting the habitable zone. What I'm trying to get you to
see is you can't comprehend this God. He's so much bigger than
what you thought. There are stars 1,700 times larger
than the radius of our sun, and the radius of our sun is 432,376
miles in radius. I have no idea what you're talking
about. I'm talking about how big our God is. You think about this. There are
stars or planets 1,700 times larger than the radius of our
sun, which is 432,000 plus miles. Earth is just a small place compared
to what God has made. And that even makes Him so much
more awesome that on this little planet, He put a bunch of rebels. And they rebelled against Him
and sinned against Him. And on this little planet, with
all those other planets, here we are. And that this God loves
us. Isn't that a mystery? I tried
to figure that out. You know, I can't figure out
any reason for God to love me. This Spirit, this great awesome
Spirit that chose me and wrote my name in His book before the
foundations of the world. The bigger God gets in your mind
and heart and soul, The bigger he gets, the more you worship.
And you never worship until you're able to say, I stand amazed in
the presence of Jesus in Nazarene and wonder that he could love
me, a sinner condemned, unclean. Oh, how marvelous. Oh, how wonderful
is the Savior's love to me. that He's always loved you. When
you were using or not using, and when you were in church and
were not believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, and rebellion against
God's Son, and a religious hypocrite, He loved you. And would not let
you go. For God who commanded the light
to shine out of darkness. Think about that. There was a
time Well, it was very dark. There was no light. And I don't
know, I can't say God got up one morning and said, let there
be light. Maybe that would help you and me to understand, but
I like to think one day He walked out into His big self and said,
let there be light. And it was so! God commanded
the light to shine out of darkness. And there was light, and it was
very good. But get this, this is what I
want you to see in 2 Corinthians 4, 6. The God who commanded the
light to shine out of darkness has shined into our hearts. The same God who turned the lights
on in His own beginning turned the lights on in our heart, shined
into our hearts.

Pristine Grace functions as a digital library of preaching and teaching from many different men and ministries. I maintain a broad collection for research, study, and listening, and the presence of any preacher or message here should not be taken as a blanket endorsement of every doctrinal position expressed.
I publish my own convictions openly and without hesitation throughout this site and in my own preaching and writing. This archive is not a denominational clearinghouse. My aim in maintaining it is to preserve historic and contemporary preaching, encourage careful study, and above all direct readers and listeners to the person and work of Christ.
