We've been meeting now for 40
years. Think about it. 40 years we've
been meeting and for about five or six in this auditorium. But
in 1979, we organized into a church. I was 35 years old then, 35 years
old. Thought I knew so much and knew
so little actually. So many things have happened
and changed in 40 years, but one thing has remained the same
here. The message. The Apostle Paul
said, I am what I am by the grace of God. What a statement that
is. I hope you really enter into
that truth. Actually, you never worship until
you know assuredly that you are what you are by the grace of
God. What is the grace of God? What
is this grace factor? It's the gospel of Jesus Christ.
It's a gospel that eliminates all boasting, all bragging, all
haughtiness, You see, the chief end of man is to glorify God
and to enjoy Him forever, glorifying God. Here's what we've done,
and in these last years here at Grace Gospel, we've seen that
that works in a mysterious, awesome way. You cannot see or understand
what has happened here in Pontiac primarily in the last 30 years,
33 years. Except we have shut ourselves
up to that one message which gives God all the glory and all
the praise and all the honor.
