"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." -Deuteronomy 6:6-7

This past Sunday, Pastor Kent W. Clark discussed the importance of recognizing and sharing our God experiences with others, particularly our children.

"How do your children know if there's a God, and that He's alive, that He's changed your life?"

The best way to help our children get to know God is to share with them our blessings and experiences, and how God has changed us!

Here's a highlight from our Sunday service!

Let's begin with the sixth verse
of Deuteronomy 6. And these words, which I command
thee this day, shall be in thy heart. Where? In your heart. In your heart. That's where true worship takes
place, in the heart, not in your kneeling, standing, outward signs,
prophet. Nothing, not having a cross around
your neck. It's okay if you want a cross
around your neck, but you better have one in your heart. Jesus
Christ and Him crucified. And thou shalt teach them diligently
unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou
sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and
when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. When should you
talk about the blessings of God? All the time. When you're sitting
down, when you're raising up, all the time. And you're teaching
them to your children. How do your children know that
there's a God and he's alive and that he's changed your life? And by the way, this church is
filled with people who have stories to tell their children. Be honest
with your kids. It's alright to tell your kids,
mom or dad, whichever you are, I was a sinner, lost and undone,
and God found me, and God saved me. And God is in me working
both to will and to do of His good pleasure. You remember when
you were in bondage? Remember when you were down in
Egypt shooting up, sniffing, snorting, fornicating, being
an adulterer? Remember when you were out there
in Lodibar, undone, unclean, filthy? Remember how you went
lower and lower and lower until you had no place to stay, no
place to live, nothing to look forward to, how your life was
basically gone and you ended up in a homeless shelter? He
is so good and so great. He took your addiction and brought
you to Himself. He took your craziness. Don't
forget it. And when Satan reminds you of
your past, don't forget the Lord is the one that sought you out
of Lodibar. He's the one to save you. Don't forget him.
