"Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace". - Galatians 5:4

What does it mean to be "fallen from grace"?

This past Wednesday, Pastor Clark took to the book of Galatians to discuss what really matters.

"If you're trusting Christ alone, you're a grace person; you believe it's grace alone. The minute you pick up a law, a rule, a denomination, a church, an ordinance; you've fallen from grace. It doesn't say you've fallen out of grace, it says you've left grace, you've fallen away from grace". -Pastor Kent W. Clark

You cannot be saved today and lost tomorrow. We who follow Christ cannot lose our salvation!

Here's a highlight from our Wednesday service!

I guarantee you this, if you're
trusting the Baptist Church, Catholic Church, baptism, good
works, good life, Christ profits you nothing. Notice this, for
I testify again to every man that is circumcised that he's
a debtor to do the whole law, not just one law, the whole law. You can't just pick five of the
Ten Commandments and think they're going to get you to heaven. Once
you cross that line and pick a law, you gotta fulfill them
all. Christ has become of no effect
unto you. You nullify that. It's of no
effect unto you. Whosoever of you are justified
by the law, you have fallen from grace. Oh, pastor, there it is,
fallen from grace. Yes, there's the term. If you're
trusting Christ alone, you're a grace person. You believe it's
grace alone. The minute you pick up a law,
a rule, a denomination, a church, an ordinance, you've fallen from
grace. It doesn't say you've fallen
out of grace. It says you've left grace. You've
fallen away from grace. And that's exactly what these
churches of Galatia were doing. The circumcision people came
down there and said, you have to be circumcised and keep the
law of Moses to be saved. And Paul said, you've fallen
away from grace. You've left grace. It's not grace
and law. It's not grace and works. It's
grace alone. Amen. Grace alone. So Paul said, you have fallen
from grace. And of course, there's so many
people out there, church people that pick up on that phrase,
you've fallen from grace. They say, we believe in falling
from grace. You can be saved today and lost
tomorrow. Well, if that's the case, I'm sure for hell. If you
can be saved today and lost tomorrow, because I know I won't be good
enough tomorrow. I haven't been good enough today.
I have a past record. Thank God Jesus Christ paid the
debt. And God didn't send his son down
here to save you and then lose you. What a ridiculous idea that
God sent his only begotten son into the world to pay your sin
debt. You get saved and then lose it. First of all, it's not
your salvation. It's God's salvation. The psalmist
said, restore unto me the joy, not of my salvation, but of thy
salvation. Jonah said, salvation's of the
Lord. Have you been to Whale's Belly
and learned that? I hope you have. That salvation is of the
Lord.
