You may be seated. On Friday, Friday afternoon,
five o'clock, the Donald Trump campaign invited
me to come and deliver the prayer before the rally. I want to make one thing very,
very clear to you. The great desire of my heart
is to have a God visitation. So when you think I'm political,
just remember this. Let this be number one in your
head. The pastor wants to see God in America again. I want to hear from God. Let me tell you this though.
545,000 people have viewed that on YouTube. For those of you who are fearful
to come out strong for God because of political issues, I have got
emails now from all over this country requesting copies of
this prayer from God's people. And let me make it most clear. I do not believe that the God
of this Bible would be for America having abortions. God Almighty has laid down in
His Word with regard to marriage between a man and a woman and
family being the building block of a solid society. So I urge upon you when you go
to the polls to vote, if you can just see in your head an
eight-month-old baby in the mother's womb, and the doctor taking an
instrument and cutting out the different parts of that baby
and taking its life. And I know that you know, if
you're a child of God, your conscience and the Holy Spirit is going
to tell you how to vote. Should have been a louder amen
than that. I also want you to know, I also want you to know
that though we need $9 million to keep Grace Centers of Hope
going, I will not compromise the message from this pulpit
or from over there. God has done great things for
us, and we're going to stay right there with the Word of God, with
the Bible, and with the Scriptures. One nation under God. You know
what our problem is? We're about to be one nation
gone under because we're not under God. All right. Call unto me and I will answer
thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest
not. If you would like a copy of that, we will work on this.
You can try to go on YouTube. We'll work on this. I guarantee
you we'll do much better than what we did this morning. We'll
get that for you. I always see something like that
as the devil didn't want folks to hear that. but 545,000 people already have.
And by the way, we only had 340 dislikes. So 545,340 dislikes.
Call upon me and I will answer thee and show thee great and
mighty things which thou knowest not. After I had prayed Friday evening,
Ms. Pam and I were sitting there
in the area behind where all the speakers were, and a gentleman
came across and he handed me two cards and said, the colonel
wants me to give these to you. And I said, the colonel? Yes, the colonel. And I kind
of said to him something like, I don't know the colonel. But
over there. And I looked and I was expecting
a gentleman to be in uniform with all kinds of medals. I looked
and there stood a lady with all kinds of stuff. And she's going like this. I said, have you ever had anyone who's
high up, I mean really high up, say, call me? I didn't know whether to salute
or I didn't know exactly what to do. God says to you, call
me, but it even gets better. Call me and I will answer you. When's the last time you asked
and he answered? He's promised. If you ask, he'll
answer. But it doesn't even stop there. Just for him to pick up the phone
and say, hi Kent, thanks for calling. How can I help you? What can I do for you? That's an awesome thing. And
here's what God says. I will answer thee and show thee
great and mighty things. I'll show you great and mighty
things. Is your God, this God, who's
able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask? You know what I said to the Lord
after reading that verse? Give grace gospel fellowship,
not only the United States, but the world. We have the answer. It's the gospel. Today we will have a memorial
for Nikki Bastien in Clarkston, who OD'd last Friday night. Her husband I talked to yesterday,
crying out in anguish, I can't live this way, I can't live in
this house, I can't live without her. How's it gonna be, Pastor,
tell me something. We have the answer. He said,
I want to be able to use her death in some way to put emphasis
on drug use and what the answer is. And I said to him, well,
we know the answer, and we need to do a better job of getting
the answer out there and unashamedly get the answer out there. I'm
not ashamed of the gospel for it's a dynamite of God unto salvation. Jeremiah here is in jail in this
33rd chapter. He's sitting in jail. You know
the prison can be a palace if Jesus is there. Did you know
that? And God is telling him, after
in the 14th chapter, he said, God, you're like a stranger in
our land. You're like a man that's turned
to stone. You're not speaking to us. Our
sins testify against us, but please God, don't leave us, speak
to us. The worst judgment that God could
send upon a nation is not to speak. But why would he speak
to us? Get out of our schools, get out
of our lives, get out of our families. And now our prisons
are full and our churches are empty. Our children are killing themselves
and one another because they've been taught that they're nothing
but gas and dust and they have no real purpose in life. You saw William come up here
and get that meal ticket. I said to his mom this morning,
maybe God will raise William up to pastor this church. God said, I'll show you mighty
things. Is that what we want? You know,
I tell you for 50 some years now, I have not been satisfied
with the whole hum of religion. I want to see happen what could
not possibly happen unless God made it happen. Like running a marathon. Think about that. 15, 16 former people. Some of them whose
lives have been totally devastated by the demon Pharmacia. See their sense of accomplishment.
That's what God does. He brings joy and peace. I'll do great and mighty things
for you. He's not talking about just me, the preacher. He's talking
about you. Some of you back there have very
little confidence that you're ever gonna make it or be anything
in life or that you can't make a difference. I'll tell you,
I can do all things through Christ that's strengthened with me.
There is nothing that you cannot do. Things that you don't know. Things
that are on the way, but you don't know yet. You're doubting, and you're kind
of, you know, swimmish about things. I don't think of that.
It couldn't possibly happen. Have faith in God. How about
that? Trust God. I thought about this
this week. When I bought, we bought 53 Seneca. Over on Seneca. It was a shabby
run. It should have been bulldozed.
Seneca, one of the worst streets in the city of Pontiac, had the
highest crime rate. I can't tell you how many people
said to me, you have lost your mind. I mean, good friends. You're
never going to get that street. It's never going to happen. I
want to say to all those who told me that, na-na-na-na-na-na. I believed it was going to happen.
I walked across to my car late one evening, the sun was going
down and it was dark. And I was trying to get out of
Pontiac before it got dark. And I raised my hand toward this
building, which was then sanctum with the gargoyles and all the
mess in here. And I said, Lord, give me that
building. And I believed he would give
it to me. I didn't know someone else was
going to pay for it though. I expect great and mighty things
to happen here that I don't even see yet. Things that you don't
see about your own life. Blessings that are headed your
way. Do you know that Jesus has already
bought and paid for blessings that you haven't received yet?
But they're headed that way. They're coming your way. They're yours. They're bought.
They're paid for. God's got a plan and a purpose
for your life. And when it gets dark, I said
to Jason yesterday, Bastien, I said, I know this doesn't sound
right, but Jason, out of Nikki's death, God is able to do the
most awesome things and bring the most awesome blessings, and
he is. Will show you great things. I
want every one of you who are part of this congregation It
would be just like God to take a no-good crackhead and call
them to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ It would be just
like God to take a bunch of nobodies like us a bunch of nobodies like
us Do you know that the people who paid five hundred and something
thousand dollars for that parking lot are not here this morning. Well, how'd that happen? God sent their money over here.
You know, the people who bought this building for us are not
here today. Well, how'd that happen? God sent us friends who
bought and paid for it. All of this, people come in here
and go, oh, I was here 10 years ago, it didn't look like this. People come in here and go, what
an awesome thing, I threw up right there. But isn't that awesome? if you go back to that 33rd chapter,
and call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and
mighty things which thou knowest not. And then he just goes on
to tell about what God will do, and in verse 6 it says this,
Behold! What does behold look? I mean
mean? It means look! Anytime you find
the word behold in the Bible, it's like this, look, look, look! Something awesome, something
strange, something you're not expecting. Behold, I will bring
health and cure. I will cure them and will reveal
unto them the abundance of peace and truth. God says, that's what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna cure you. God can cure
you. Well, we got this epidemic. We
got this heroin epidemic. Folks are doctoring the heroin
with elephant tranquilizer. Doesn't that sound insane? God said, you need curing and
I'm going to cure you, right? God can cure you. I know you have been taught to
say this, and I would rather you kind of talk this way. I
know you've been taught to say things like this. Hi, my name
is Sue. I'm an alcoholic. I'm a heroin
addict and a crackhead. How about saying something like
this? Hi, my name is Sue. I'm a child
of God. I'm a joint heir with Jesus Christ. I'm heir to a mansion, a robe,
and a crown. I've been washed in the blood
of Christ. There's no condemnation to those
that are in Christ Jesus. I will bring health and cure. As it was in the beginning, verses
7 and 11. Look at verse 8. I will cleanse
them from all their iniquity. From all their iniquity. That's
the good news. Jesus said, it's finished. I
don't care what you've done. I don't care where you've been.
You've wallowed in the stables of sin. You may be as black as
all hell, but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. And you're without spot. You're
without spot. When you get to heaven, God looks
you over. You're going to be without spot.
Sometimes I say to Miss Pam, I'm real finicky about this.
There's a spot on my tie. I'm not going to wear it. She
said, well, nobody's going to see that spot. I don't care. I know it's there. when you get
to heaven and you stand before God, know this, without spot
or wrinkle or any such thing. I will cleanse them from all
their iniquities whereby they have sinned against me, and I
will pardon all their iniquities whereby they have sinned and
whereby they have transgressed against me. And verse 9 says,
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise, an honor before
all nations of the earth. Oh, we'll sing and shout the
victory when we all get to heaven. I want to start now shouting
the victory. We win! We win! We win! We're more than conquerors through
Christ that loved us. It's so true. Joy. The gospel is good news. Some
of you have been in churches all your life that do nothing
but pound you about, you know, you're a failure. You better
be, you better have them all confessed up. You better, you
better be prayed up. You better be ready to go. Hallelujah.
You better be sanctified. You better be keeping the law.
I want to tell you, you are a mess and I am too, but the blood of
Jesus Christ has us covered. And I saw this kind of for the
first time when I was reading the 33rd chapter. Verse nine
says, and it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and honor before
all the nations of the earth. In other words, all the nations
of the earth see your joy. You know, the greatest testimony
you have is this, thank God, put a smile on your face. You know, I was kind of raised
in this kind of, you don't want to come to church, do you? You
wouldn't want to come over to our church, would you? And I've had a couple of people
say, hell no. I know that's a little rough
on some of you, but I've actually had people say things like that. And later on, I looked back and
I thought, Well, why would I want to go to your church, too, the
way you approach that? When you invite people over to
Grace Gospel, go like this, oh, I'm telling you, God was there.
God's in our singing. God's in our preaching. God's
in our praying. God's there. But I like this
part, and it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and honor before
all nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that
I do unto you, and they shall reverence and tremble for all
the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure for
you. You know what the mayor said?
Just this Friday when we were dedicating that, or Thursday,
whenever it was. You know what the county treasurer
said? I don't understand this faith
thing, but there's something going on here. Here's what the psalmist said.
The Lord hath done great things for us whereof we are glad. The
heathen said the Lord hath done great things for them. Even the heathen can't get over
what God's doing here. And the Bible says that they
reverence God. That word fear means reverence.
They see what's going on here. They reverence God. They see
a bar taken over. and the gospel going forth, they
see a city being transformed, and they say, wow, there must
be a God. There's no explanation for those
people. The voice of joy and gladness. One of the things I love so much
here, and I was talking to Elder LaSara Bradley, who came up and
preached for us, and he sent me a message that he preached
at his church after he got back from here. And he goes, like
something he tells about it like this, he goes, what a happy people. I mean, he tells all about the
drug use and what's going on, but then he goes, what a happy
people. He said, I've been preaching for 65 years. No one's ever clapped
when I preach total depravity. And he's saying to his church,
not only did they clap, but they stood up. And he said to his church, he
said, now, I'm not saying you have to stand up and clap, but
you could throw a few amens in when I'm preaching. See, I really believe that going
to church shouldn't be an activity of simply the preacher preaching
and we hear some scary Halloween music and we all sit there kind
of... No, no, no. No, no, no. I believe
there ought to be a lot of hands up. I think there ought to be
a lot of clapping I think there ought to be a lot of hallelujahs This is a sad world when people
leave here they leave here rejoicing They leave here rejoicing praise
to our God the voice of joy Revival here's what I think Here's what
I believe. I believe God showed me some
things. I hope you don't think it haughty on my part, but I
believe God's going to turn this country upside down with this
church. I believe God's going to use
us. I'm going to tell you this. Trump
was speaking, and Ms. Pam and I were sitting right
there. He turned around where he had turned his back to the
audience, but on one occasion he pointed right at Pam and I
like this. I went like this. You're right. We got it. We're
going to tell it. I hope you don't think that's
haughty. It's not haughty. I just know this. God is the
answer. The gospel is the answer to bring
joy back to this country. Let's stand together and praise
our God.
